Good Day All,I wanted to take the time to say how much Ive appreciated Ms. Megan Thomass work ethic and excellent customer service. I moved here from Atlanta, GA at short notice, and Megan was able to find the perfect apartment for me to reside in in such short notice. Megan has demonstrated leadership throughout the time Ive been here at Griffis Pine Avenue. She has made my experience stress free, and I wanted to share my gratitude with the Community. Megan you deserve a raise!Thank you, Andrea Cloud

I could not be happier with this apartment complex. All of the office staff are friendly and professional. The property maintenance workers, are so nice and impressively efficient. The property is well-kept, with a pool, jacuzzi, grills, and several other community areas. There are fountains and string lights all around the property, making the spaces feel very classy and cozy. I absolutely love my apartment, which is reasonably priced and quite spacious. Ive never had so much storage space in my life! I have already renewed my lease for another year, and I will hopefully continue to do so! Im a big fan of Griffis Pine Avenue and the entire staff who keep it running.

I had the pleasure of living at Griffis Pine Avenue for about a year and a half. We originally lived in the D building and moved to the J building(pool building) once our lease was up because of the extensive construction happening outside of our window. The construction can be expected when living on or near Pine Ave, and it was not something that Griffis had any control over. We loved living in the J building. Whenever we needed the maintenance team to respond to our apartment, they always responded in a timely manner depending on the severity of the situation. The only complaint I could make is that they were not always in the office when I went, but they do have a job to do in filling vacant units and contrary to what some of the people that live there think, there are in fact other tenants that live there. Although I never participated in any of the events, the management staff does host several community gatherings throughout the year which can be really beneficial to those who are moving from a different area or would just like to meet new people. The location is unbeatable. You have all of the restaurants on Pine, shoreline village and the pike outlets all within walking distance. Only issue about the location is the seemingly high population of homeless individuals, but this is, for the most part, unavoidable if youd like to live in any urban area in California.Griffis is expensive, however it is very comparable to nearby buildings. In conclusion, Id highly recommend Griffis, especially to younger people wanting to be around some good nightlife and in a safe, secure complex.

Im looking to relocate closer to Long Beach, where I work, Griffis caught my eye for its proximity to restaurants, downtown and freeways. I met Kimberly , I believe is her name, at the front desk and was very helpful and kindly she has send pictures and virtual tours of the community. She knows what shes doing, very professional and her knowledge of the surrounding area and the apartments makes me feel that I could be on good hands if in fact I choose Griifis. Thanks Kimberly, you Rock girl!!!

This review is primarily for both the excellent maintenance staff as well as the kind leasing office staff here at Griffis Pine Avenue. Ive lived here now for almost a year. And if an appliance stops functioning, the maintenance staff (Steven is the one who usually helps me out) is available to help me within 24hrs (even during a pandemic!). With regards to the leasing office staff, Kimberly has always been kind and helpful (and still remembers my name).

Came by and toured with Kimberly. She was really helpful and had a really friendly personality. She had all the answers for any questions I had. And wasn’t really pushy. And I appreciated that the most because she knew I wasn’t looking to move in right away. I also had the opportunity of meeting others from the staff like Megan and Jeremy, who were also very polite and courteous. Overall, definitely on the top of my list and it seems like a great place to live.

I love our apartment, my only complaint is something thats out of Griffis hands, and thats the street noise. Cars all day and night. So I do suggest you take that into account when choosing a unit.In addition to the beautiful, renovated units, the strength of Griffis is its staff. Jeffery, the community manager, has been an ally since day one and the maintenance staff, headlined by Ruben and Steven, have been fast to respond, friendly, and good at what they do.

I enjoy The apartment and living conditions. The few issues are remedied quickly by the maintenance crew. Steven came to inspect the severity of a complaint and assured me that he could easily take care of the problem. He came back and completed the work order. Thank you Steven for the fast response. This is a great place to live.

The staff at Griffis really tries to make all the residents feel like a community. There are constant emails being sent with invitations to different events held in the lobby. The new renovations give a new modern feel and make me feel proud to say I live here. The staff is always really friendly and accommodating and really show they care about the residents and their needs/concerns.

Bait and switch on the rental price, made an appointment online to see a specific apartment that was listed for $2576, confirmed the morning of the price was still the same, and when I arrived the price changed to $2881. Which is really lame because it makes you pick which apartment you are interested in seeing. Watch out.

I have been living in this building for 4 years and it’s the best it’s ever been! I love my apartment space, but what I really love is how management is always upgrading and making the amenities better and better. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Some of the newest upgrades are a beautiful new state of the art gym, our pool has gorgeous cabanas, a fire pit lounging area, and industrial size bbq grill with lots of seating for our family poolside. They also have a doggie grooming station!! One of my absolute favorite new amenities is the 24 hour package retrieving system, we get an email when we have a package and we can retrieve it from a locker with a code in the email. No more waiting for the office to open to get my packages! This is great place to live! Right in the middle of everything we need in a beautiful, safe building, with a great management team! Thanks Griffis Pine, we love you!

Ive lived here for nearly a year now and I have zero complaints. Leasing agents are always available. The property is kept clean. Archstone embraces technology and allows for payments to be made via the Web or through their App.Sometimes, I wonder if anyone lives next to or below me (Im on the to floor). I never hear my neighbors.Living less than a hundred yards to the train station is great. I use the train much more. Having a Fresh and Easy across the street is great. All kinds of shopping is near. Local bars and clubs are alright. I would say Walmart is the only undesirable thing around here. Small sacrifice for all of the other benefits. The rents are actually pretty good for premium apartment living. I definitely wouldnt call these apartments luxury, but they are definitely higher quality than most everything else. All in all, this is a pretty good place to live.

Avoid this place if you get bothered by manipulative sales people that will con you into paying for their scheduled remodels. I can share dozens of stories about how the staff is a bunch of liars that only care about making a sale to potential residents and climbing the corporate ladder. They will lie to you at their convenience.I moved in under old management and they were amazing. It wasnt long after new management rolled in that all your favorite staffers were replaced with sharks. You know those people that work really hard to try to make you believe they care, but are really just sales people that will say and do whatever it takes to keep up appearances. (EG. Multiple times I walked in on management gossiping and bad mouthing current staff and residents.) The stole amenities and refused to compensate back for the lie they made to get me into the place. They send letters saying the will enter your apartment and give you a short notice, a huge window (sometimes weeks) for when they will arrive, and many times just blow off the appointment like the cable guy.Staff cares very little about current tenants. They will blow you off to make a sale. Management has no authority to do anything, they have canned responses that they have to check the google drive (employee handbook) and does absolutely nothing to support current residents. They have monthly meetings that are an absolute waste of time. Jeffy boy sits there and makes up stories to manipulate you into thinking he has any authority to get anything done, dont be fooled this place is owned and ran by a multistate corporation (I believe out of Colorado). The outside is not taken care of at all. There is a cleaning crew that comes once a month to clean the hallways. until the cleaning crew comes you have do deal with dog pee drying up in the hallways because the tenants dont clean up after their animals and management does the bare minimum. cockroaches and fleas in the courtyard, if you have a dog make sure you dont miss a dose of your flea medication.upon move out megan said she had an initial inspection to prepare for the REMODEL of the unit. I requested to be a part of the final inspection which she agreed to (said absolutely). They then refused to let me be apart of the final inspection at which they charged me for everything but the kitchen and bathroom renovations. They charged me to replace the carpeting with hardwood/laminate floors on their scheduled remodel and sited dog pee as the reason. (See story below) They refused to share any proof outside of a peice of paper with some scribbling on it.The charged me to paint the entire apartment because there was a small scuff on the wall. Jeff had to pull up the employee handbook before he told me the type of paint they use leaves a mark if you wash the wall so they cant be cleaned or touched up the spot; they had to paint the entire apartment for a small scuff and charged me for it.They then charged me for the clean up which was interesting because they charged me for thier scheduled remodel and literally renovated the entire place.(Update)Thanks for offer but I have already wrote off the 2 grand for your apartment renovation as a sunk cost. I thought it was important to share my experience for people like me that care about honesty and integrity.Story: I was told by the jeff that the reason I paid to replace the carpet was due to subflooring damage. There were no photos of the subflooring damages so I asked how they checked and was told they use a special light. I was also told no one from your organization was present for the carpet inspection and to contact salinas inc who told me they couldnt discuss this with me because I didnt sign the bill. I went back to jeff and he told me there was nothing he could do to get me the info I required. This was a common theme throughout my 15 months.

Looked into this place because a friend lived there. So off put by my 2 phone conversations with Asst Managers Ashley and Christina not worth it. Lied to me over the phone, barely let me get a word in with my questions about how the apartment was taken by the time we got off the phone? Very condescending on phone. So unhelpful it was like they didnt want me there!!!! Griffis must not need tenants

Dont ever take this place. They try toint money while you love out saying they need to paint the entire house and replace the carpets fully for no to minimum wear out. Inaddtion to these they charge a hefty cleaning charge. Stay wise their equipment keep breaking all time .. they were outdated . My washer broke twice during my stay and took more than 10 days for them to repair. The recent management didnt do any good . I wouldnt recommend this to anyone in future. .Update : Their management is too bad that after 3 months from paying the move out settlement, today received a mail that my account will be moved to collection for non payment. Wonder what kind of financial audit these guys do now . Wish there was a zero star option available here
