I was very pleased with the service I received, from my inquiry, to agreement, to the service tech who performed the service and the quality of the equipment. Service installed today, well see how we move forward.Shawn assisted with my inquiries for service and was professional and addressed my concerns. Treasure answered my call to customer service right away, and addressed my needs immediately. What a treat from some experiences in the past.Shawn checked in with my later, to be sure any questions had been answered. I felt that he really cared.Joel installed my internet service, had an unexpected challenge, but championed through it, all in a very professional manner.All three of these representatives presented themselves as leaders, and I am very glad to have seen changes from some past experiences. With this kind of service, I will be using Windstream for a long time!

We can barely scroll through our phones the internet is so slow. We pay way too much to have an upload speed of 0.4 mbps, it’s ridiculous. Our apartment complex has a contract with them and one of the reasons we are moving is because of windstream. We can’t get anything done and every time we try to call them to ask if someone can come look at it, they tell us we have too many devices. I think it should be able to handle 4 devices. Also took them THREE months to come hook up our internet after they no showed twice.

I was very frustrated with Windstream for having continued issues with my internet service. I called Customer Service SEVERAL times and finally got someone who spoke English well enough for me to understand, to set up an appointment with technician. I had to wait overnight (didn’t have internet service for 2 1/2days) for him to show up. After dealing with issue after issue, making approximately 18 phone calls, I was not in the mood to deal with anyone! Michael, our technician, showed up ON TIME, after texting me to tell me he was on the way. He was a very pleasant man who was extremely easy to deal with. He was concerned with making sure everything was in place and running smoothly! He had a lot of things to do and change but made sure it was completed to our satisfaction. His attitude and work ethic made me change my outlook on the situation. Michael was professional in every aspect and my hope is that everyone who needs assistance from a technician, gets assistance from someone like Michael!

They kept my account open and continued to charge me for 8 months after I moved out of my apartment, even though I cancelled the subscription and returned the router.I get a random call a year later from a debt collector asking for $300 dollars, with them nor Windstream unable to know the details of the charges, because the account had been closed for so long.My monthly bill for service was less then $15. Why $300?Why wasnt my account closed? Where did my router go? Why did they continue to charge an empty apartment for so long? And they cant pull up any details proving my innocence

For over 40 days, we have had terrible internet service. We called twice a week to complain, and tried 3 times scheduling technicians to come figure the problem out, but they don’t come when they are scheduled, which is frustrating when I take time off of work to be home to find out they had already been there and the problem STILL isn’t solved.

Company does not care for their customers satisfaction. I was charged for 200 Mbps internet, but only hooked up to 20 Mbps due to a lack of infrastructure in my apartment complex. I brought this complaint to them and their response was Thats not our problem.Customer service is all located overseas, so good luck resolving your issues in a timely manner through there.

I’ve never had such horrible service with an internet company. I’ve been in my apartment/Lincoln area for 3 weeks and work from home. My internet will drop out of no where. Calling customer service is a nightmare. I get transferred to everyone and their dog before I get any solutions. On a couple occasions while being on hold for some time the call will get disconnected and I have to start the process over or they tell me they can’t find the account. I’m currently looking into some other internet providers in the area.

It took 13 days for them to not complete my wifi installation. I had to cancel my service (that I never received) and change to a new company. I was told by a supervisor that my apartment complex was to blame. I checked with my complex and they had no idea what I was referencing. The supervisor also made it clear my account was not a priority since I wasn’t paying for the service they would not connect. I’ve changed companies and received set up in 36 hours, thanks spectrum!

Installation was quick and professional. I love that my appointment time was a 2 hour window and not a whole day like other places. Communication was great and I knew exactly when they would be here. So far internet is working great! Love the fact that I cut my old internet bill in half! Also- had to have 2 boxes for previous internet (1 for modem and 1 for wireless). Now I only have one box for both! Less wires and plug-ins is always a good thing! So far I absolutely recommend!

Guy who came out didnt care he knocked stuff over, some of it got broke and cant be repaired! left his trash (box wraps, plastic wraps, twist ties) just lying on the floor for us to clean up his mess. repeatedly left front door open, even though he was told the a/c was on. not off to a good start windstream...

People at the booth where I signed up were friendly and helpful but it went downhill after that. There was a $100 sign-on bonus and Im still thinking about walking away.Signed up on the 19th, they placed a hold on my account on the 21st and another on the 26th, unknown to me. I received two text notifications this week that a tech WOULD come out to complete the installation today (in spite of the fact that they had decided not to send anyone due to the holds, plural). Since Id gotten the texts confirming the appointment, I had no idea anything was wrong and even called to move the installation earlier in the morning because I cant afford to miss that much work. They cheerfully gave me a sham appointment without telling me that, again, they werent sending anyone until I resolved the issue that they repeatedly failed to notify me about. Day of the installation came. I waited. Waited some more. Once I began to get suspicious, I called Kinetic. Only AFTER no-showing and after *I* called THEM did they finally tell me that theyd put my order on hold (twice!) because some dweebus had put another name on my account instead. I cant imagine how they turned up any other name for me when my landlord, employer, banks, and previous internet company all had no issues.Even so, if they had asked for confirmation WHEN THE FIRST HOLD WAS PLACED A WEEK AND A HALF IN ADVANCE, I would have been a little miffed but quickly forgotten about it. But no-showing without even a courtesy call, without bothering to explain why or tell me anything at all, is (at best) pretty damn incompetent.Im so frustrated and this all has added a ton of stress onto an already difficult (online-only) semester.EDIT 7/1: When I called for help YET AGAIN, I had some dingus lecture me that there was no reason to be upset AND it took me nearly half an hour to learn that the LAST dorkus, from yesterday, gave me incomplete instructions for ID verification. They didnt reply to me to tell me I hadnt sent the right photo; I, again, had to chase them down.Cmon people. This should not be a seven phone call ordeal.Tips for Kinetic:- notify client of account issues that require action on their part- update client of continued action regarding account issues that require action on their part- when scheduling a visit from a tech, make sure you are in fact planning to send someone- when REscheduling a visit from a tech, make sure theyre actually coming before telling the client to expect them- if you tell your tech not to keep an appointment because of account issues, make sure you, you know, tell the client so they dont drain half a day waiting on you- do you need my social security number to hook up my internet? No, you dont. My last provider didnt. Stop asking me for it.

Gordon did an excellent job assisting me with my new modem. I asked several questions and he did an excellent job answering them. I also had problems with my printer that I thought might be associated with the modem. He was great about helping me troubleshoot the problems and also contacted Andy to discuss the problems and Andy was also great about working on the printer problem and identifying issues involved. I have not had their services since October of 2020, and they still send me bills and threaten to send it collections. EVERY SINGLE MONTH! I spoke with a supervisor in the billing department in December who even agreed on a recorded line, that I in fact did terminate my services with them, that I had paid everything off, to disregard any further bills, and that they would take care of it on their part. I’m still getting charged as of today, so I’ve come to the conclusion that they apparently like to fraudulently charge you money for internet you simply don’t have anymore. Please do not go with this company.

Tried calling with a simple yes/no question about service that I couldnt find the answer to on the website. They took that as an opportunity to try to sell me on all their products. They never even answered the question (whether they serviced my address), no matter how many times I asked it. After half an hour of them not answering my question and asking me dozens of extremely personal questions, I finally gave up and hung up. If this is the customer service they give to prospective buyers, I cant even imagine how terrible it is to current customers.

Spectrum quoted me $79 for Internet only service because I was a current customer and wanted to downgrade to Wi-Fi only. I called Windstream and they are charging me $35/month with no connection fee. The appointment was booked within 2 days of my phone call and the technician was polite and informative. In and out in less than an hour.

I had gone back and forth with Support over the phone for almost two weeks. I recently moved to a new home, and all I asked was for my service to be transferred over. Initially, Support told me they had scheduled a date for a technician to come out, but I received no confirmation and nobody ever showed. Then, they told me I could just “self-install” the modem I already had. When this didn’t work, I called AGAIN. I was transferred back and forth to the wrong departments before being hung up on. At this point, I was ready to cancel my service altogether and find someone else to get internet through. When they FINALLY scheduled someone to come out and help me, Aaron, the technician, came right away in a terrible snowstorm to set up our internet. He said that support had completely messed up my order, and it took him a couple of hours to get everything fixed and set up. Thank you, and 5 stars for Aaron!

When we first signed up, the service for the first 6 months was flawless. Now our internet connection drops on average 1 to 2 times per hour all day long. If it was just the WIFI, i would not be as upset. But our internet that is hardwired into our modem should not be dropping off that much. I work from home and constantly get kicked out of zoom meetings or classes that im teaching due to internet loss. It takes 2 minutes before it connects again. I have called countless times, techs have been out numerous times, and still nothing is fixed. They have replaced the modem, and done speed tests. The techs have said everytime that my connection speed is very fast. After they leave, i will have flawless coverage for about a month and then it all starts up again. I am so frustrated because a hard wired connection should not be dropping like that. When I call, I always have to go through several different representatives because something is always weird. For example, I have needed a new IP address several times. I have also been told that they didnt even have my IP address on file, even through we have been their customers for over 2 years. Another time, I was told there was an outage in my area even though that wasnt true. It was just my house. The tech came out and fixed it and confirmed there was never an outage in my area. This had also left me without internet for 3 days. I had to get up at 4am to go to my dads house to set up my classroom so I could teach. Why can no one tell me why my hard wired internet wont stay connected? I thought the kinetic fiber internet was supposed to be so great and all it leaves me feeling is frustrated.

I’ve only had horrible experiences with windstream. Since November 2020 they’ve gotten my bill wrong. I can’t even count on both hands how many times I’ve had to call to get my bill fixed to be told that it’s fixed but actually nothing had been done. I’ve been hung up on and had my service suspended because they don’t know to fix problems with the service and bill, I also I had to pay $50 to get it back on. This is ridiculous and I’m at my wits end with them.

I have had this Internet provider for about six years. And I just got a new service because me and my wife and I are separated. They came out in a timely manner and we’re very professional and did what they had to do. Customer service was great. The first operator messed up my address but when I called and they fixed it right away. This is a great company and I’ve never really had a problem with them for over the six or seven years that I’ve used them. If you’re in the country and you need to service these are the people to go with. They are friendly professional and they have great prices.

Despite the fact I had to contact Windstream several separate times they did eventually send a technician out the next day to fix the connection problem.First time I called the automated it said I had a bill, and I had signed up for the promotion so I connected to a live representative it took some time but she was able to fix that I explain to her the real reason why I was calling was due to the inability to connect to the Internet.The representative explained on her end it showed that the Internet was active and I should try resetting it and turning it off And contact them back if it’s still not working. I tried everything that was asked of me and nothing still worked.So then I called back a second time and as the call is getting ready to connect to a representative I hear a disconnect. So then I called again after taking a deep breath and blowing the air out and I ended up with the same exact representative from before. I explained to her that my Internet still wasn’t working so she said she was going to connect me to a technician and in the mist of waiting I got disconnected again.So literally I took like an hour and a half break to call back again because I was so frustrated with the continuously having to call back.Finally I called back and got a different representative who seem to know a lot about the system. He stated that on his in I did not have any connection. He said I don’t know who you spoke with but they are incorrect well now I’m thankful somebody can see what I’m saying and he ran some diagnostics and explain to me why it wasn’t working and said they would be sending Out a technicianThe technician came out and explained what was going on it dealt with the connections outside of my apartment one of the lines were connected but the other one wasn’t even coming to the building that I stay in.It took a while for them to get it set back up, I appreciate the Thoroughness, problem-solving of those that take their work seriously, as well as caring for their customers.P.S. 1) Took Windstream only seven months and two attempts to finally bury the drop cable from the install.2) When the techs came back to bury the drop and check out potential issues, the lead; tech was pointing out all the issues/errors by the installation techs.By-The-Gods, we wanted to tell the new tech-in-training that his mentor was one of the install techs originally! They didnt bury the drop, we had to start the 4-6 week process all over again.3) The quoted price for the internet package was a sweet deal. The actual price (on the billing) was not so sweet...nearly double the pre-installation pricing quote.4) Speeds downloading are decent and close to quoted speeds. Uploading speeds are Pre Fred Flintstones. When asked if they would up the upload speed, they replied they couldnt because of the equipment, yadda-yadda. Every place else we have been and other services used were always able to but apparently Windstream cut classes that day they were teaching this.5) Seven(7) months after being alerted to potential issues with their connection box (huge tree-like growths coming out of their connection point) they still havent addressed this. Too bad you cant see the photos.
