I went to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted today. I told the ladie that I wanted more of a blond color, since my hair is strawberry blond. When I tried communicating this to her she told me that an auburn color would look better. I trusted the professional and after more dilemmas, my eyebrows ended up black.

I love getting my brows tinted and waxed and my lashes lifted and tinted by Carsen. It is a life saver for work, it only takes 10 minutes to get ready now. If you have never gotten your lashes and brows tinted, I highly suggest trying it. Carsen never disappoints!

I do not and will not trust my eyebrows to anyone else. Also, I’m horrible with remembering my appt. and she makes sure I’m texted the same day so I don’t forget. I have gotten my hair done here twice and it has been just okay. The service/kindness of the staff is good, but the quality of the hair color and style was not the best. I also got a facial here and it was NOT what I was hoping for. It was not relaxing. Harsh overhead light. The extractions were kind of a joke and she spent less than 5 minutes w/ it. The menu says that each facial gets a shoulder and neck massage. Never happened. The overall experience at Amara has been disappointing.

I have been a customer here for over 11 years. I no longer will be. My sweet husband scheduled a makeover and hair style to surprise me. I showed up to the salon and somehow the appointment was not on there. We live 30 minutes away. They scrambled to accommodate which I appreciated however I should have just left. The hair style was not really my style but there wasn’t anything wrong with it. Then it was time for makeup. The stylist began by saying she wasn’t a professional or anything... which I should have just left right then. During the makeup application she searched high and low for any blush or bronzer and there wasn’t any to be found. The color of foundation was way too light for my face and she smothered it with powder. I looked like a 17th century French courtier! When I got home there was thick white chunky spots all over my face. They didn’t even apply any mascara or eyeliner. During the process her assistant kept asking about her two other hair clients. She obviously didn’t have time to do the makeup, there was actually no makeup to do a makeover, and it was overall a horrible experience. It would have been better if you just said we aren’t able to accommodate you. I left embarrassed and felt uglier than when I entered even though you should be the embarrassed ones! I also had to rush home and fix it before our family pictures. Also the new location is way too cramped and looks trashy.

I have gotten my hair done here a handful of times, as well as my eyelash extensions. I think the prices are affordable and the end results are always just what I ask for. Very pleased :) Keep up the good work!

I recommend this place because even without an appointment I was attended to ... the girls are kind and professional. The hair washing is done in a relaxing room and I received a massage on my scalp that relieved me of stress. My hair is being smoothed with the hair dryer and then I comment or style with a photo

I would never go back to Amara. I had my nails done and they have never looked so bad. Poor quality gel and the nail tech did a poor quality job. I’ve never wanted to get gel off so fast. It was disappointing and a complete waste of my time and money.

Can I leave less than 1 star?? I have been a customer of the Lehi Amara for 2 1/2 years... a VIP customer. But for my birthday this year my husband scheduled (a week or two ahead) me a “1/2 day” at the spa to pamper me and get me out of the house so he could arrange a party for me and have people arrive while I was gone. He also prepaid. I was called and told to come 15 minutes later and then texted to come 15 minutes after that. So I arrived when they asked and then still had to wait 45 minutes for my first treatment. ????? Then when I got done with that I should have gone straight into my facial which should have started at 3:00 and it was 3:20. But I was told she was finishing with another client!!! Why was she WITH a client instead of waiting for me???? So I waited the 10 minutes Savannah asked me to but at 35 minutes I told her I was leaving. At that point my husband called and tried to have them keep me there to save my party but I was done!!! I am, or was, a long time customer and it was my birthday. No one called us as promised. The manager was “out of town and would call when she got back” but that never happened. What a waste of my entire day!!

From the moment I walked into the building it felt awkward. The girls up front were very young and clearly have no real experience with people or customer service. They were dressed very comfortable but very unprofessional for a MedSpa. For such luxury prices, I expected more.I received a facial and it was meh. I received a hand and foot massage with it. They were nice. It was not worth the money for just meh.When i was taken back to the room, there was a random girl doing her own nails at the nail station. I really couldn’t tell if she was an employee or a random little sister playing with someone else’s toys. It felt a bit trashy and had me questioning whether or no to just leave.The room was small and intimate. The lighting was a harsh bright white and there was a cheap fan in the corner that was dirty. Actually, all the equipment in the room looked very old and very unclean. The gown i was given was dirty.Before we started I needed to fill out some forms. Which is fine, but the girl just awkwardly sat and stared. It was uncomfortable.I really got an overall impression that this location was pretending to be a higher end MedSpa/Boutique/Salon? Run by teenagers with little to no experience.

Terrible customer service. My wife made an appointment three weeks prior, showed up on time but was told by the receptionist that they had changed her time, without her knowledge or permission, and that she (my wife) had been notified by text. When my wife said she hadn’t received any text or notification, the receptionist told my wife that they sent the text and blamed my wife for the mishap. I’m not surprised as the receptionist who booked the appointment didn’t know the services and kept making mistakes that my wife had to correct to make sure the right time and service were booked.No apologies, no sympathy, just blame is what you’ll get here. Blaming your customers for your mistakes isn’t a good business practice and shows the poor quality management of this place. Honestly, if you’re hoping for a good experience, friendly and helpful staff, this isn’t your place.

I have gone to AMARA for years and I have never had such a terrible experience until now. I had scheduled an appointment weeks in advance only to be turned away for a mistake they made. First of all, the Customer rep kept repeating the wrong service to me after correcting her several times, to top it off I show up to my scheduled time and they tell me that I was scheduled for earlier which I know I wasn’t. They also said I received a reminder which I never did. I am extremely disappointed and do not plan to come back again. The lack of professionalism is disappointing and the ONLY option they had was to reschedule me for another time was unacceptable at this point. AMARA isn’t as great as it used to be.

GREAT EXPERIENCE @ AMARA! Today was my first time at the Lehi location. It’s lovely! Had a treatment at the spa with Helen, she was very knowledgeable, professional and kind. Found and purchased so many lux and unique gifts at the boutique. So many great things in one place and now I have so many reasons to come back!

In all the years getting a haircut, this is the first time I’ve scheduled an appointment with a new stylist, only to arrive and be told by that stylist: “I don’t know how to cut your hair like that”. I asked for: my hair to be shorter on the side, and blended with my hair on top. I did not ask for coloring or anything crazy - I literally asked for a haircut.She began asking staff if someone else could cut my hair, and someone said she could, but I’ve been waiting here for nearly 45 minutes and am now walking out.If a client is going to specifically schedule a men’s cut, and you expect them to pay for a men’s cut, how are your stylists not trained with a basic skillset in blending hair? What am I missing?

I was very disappointed my visit to Amara today. I have never gone for a dramatic color change and have only dared do light highlights. I brought in a picture, the middle one posted here and asked before we started if they could do this look. I was told yes. I also stated that the biggest reason I wanted my hair colored was because I was finding silver hair. The end product, although a very pretty color is not at all what I asked for.I went back and let them know it was not what I wanted and was told they couldnt fix it. They could try again but it would cost $90 more dollars and no promises. Their colors are loreal and more natural and not very good at doing dramatic vibrant colors. Then I was told that I should go to another salon.I understand that certain brands can only do so much. That is just fine. But, I wish that I had been told that before I spent 3 hours and $90 dollars to have it done!I posted pictures of my color on Facebook and was literally told by someone that they got the exact same hair color and theirs did the same thing. She was told red colors will fade after a few weeks. 20 minutes after leaving the salon I was informed that my hair looks faded and weeks old! I can also still very clearly see the silver in my hair.Very disappointed and I left the salon in tears. The stylist was very sweet and the people were very kind but my experience was horrible.Im out $90 dollars, still have silver hair and according to others have older faded color and it will be months before I will be able to afford to do it somewhere else.I have heard very good things about this salon but I will never go back! I feel lied to, ripped off and it was a complete waste of money I had saved and treasured to make myself feel special and beautiful.

I have gotten my hair done at the two different Amara locations for years and they always do a good job however I was blindsided at the checkout. I usually spend around $150 for my hair and yes I added a $30 binder and purchased $20 purple shampoo. However when I got my total it was $265!!!! Like seriously my hair looks good and the girl was nice and all but that is freaking crazy! Please don’t make my mistake and confirm prices before you book. I guess they all charge different prices now? And despite going to hair stylist that have been with the company longer this was by far the most overpriced cut and color I have ever had.

I told my 13 year old daughter who was nervous about having her haircut she had nothing to worry about, I figured bangs and few layers was simple enough of a request for a salon that charges $40 for a cut...but I was wrong. The layering and bangs were nothing at all like my daughter had requested, nor did it even remotely resemble the pictures she showed the stylist to give an idea of what she was hoping for. In the end, the stylist said she couldnt show my daughter the back of her hair because she DIDNT HAVE A MIRROR, she couldnt style the bangs as requested because she had already blow dried them to lie a different way...not sure why, she curled my daughters hair to try to bring out the layers but we werent going for a curled look at all, when I asked how we could make her hair look more like the picture we had brought she told us we could blow dry it to flip it out...and then went on curling! My daughter was in tears when we left, thankfully I was able to fix it enough when we got home to ease her anxiety about showing up to school the next day. I will never go back to this salon.

First time coming to Amara and it was a great experience! I loved my NP Helen!! she really listened to my concerns, took the time to make sure everything was disinfected properly and would check if I was still numb throughout the whole thing. Being able to text her with concerns was a plus too!

I had Chelsea as my stylist the other day and she was amazing! She did exactly what I wanted for my cut and made sure I didn’t leave till I was happy. My hair looks great, my boyfriend loves it, and I had a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend to others!

I was so sad to drive by today and see over 30 people at this location after the city restricted no gatherings over 10 people. Super selfish owners. I won’t be going here When this whole thing is over.

I am not the type of person to log in an leave review, positive or negative. That being said, I went to Amara today to get a manicure and pedicure on my lunch break. It took two hours and the girl who did the manicure spilled paraffin wax all over my pants. She was extremely apologetic about it! I was annoyed that the service took forever and I really did need to get back to my office so I decided to just grab something from the boutique so I could return to work. As I walked out of the salon after changing in the bathroom the manager said thats such a cute outfit, did you get you skirt here? I explained yeah, I had to buy a new skirt because I had paraffin wax all over my pants and I need to get back to work Her answer was oh. With no further response. The common answer in that situation would be what can we do to make the situation right? Thats customer service 101, right? The pants that I wore into the salon today were brand new, I left them in the bathroom garbage can because they were completely ruined. I still have a gift card with over $150 on it, it may be awhile before I return to the salon.

I just recently started going to Amanda Day Spa & Salon to get my lashes done and I couldn’t be more happy!! I have been seeing Christine and she does such an amazing job! I absolutely love my lashes...they are so full, beautiful and they don’t bother my eyes at all. Christine makes you feel so comfortable in her chair, she is the sweetest girl and is so personable! I will be going to her from now on and would recommend her 100%. I’m so happy I found Amara Day Spa & Salon, it defiantly is my new go to Spa! I cannot wait to try all the other things they offer!

Amara came highly recommended to me when I was looking for a haircut. I went to the Lehi location and showed the hairstylist several pictures of what I wanted; a couple inches off the back. I was very clear that I did not want a bob and nothing off the sides and that I needed to be able to put it in a ponytail. The hairstylist was very kind and was doing what I had asked I thought. Towards the end she turned me away from the mirror to blend the sides and ended up taking off several inches and turned it in a short bob that I cannot manage. I left that appointment feeling very emotional and ugly and wishing I had just left it alone. I have called Amara 4 times now to inform them of the situation and continue to leave a message. I understand that hairstylists are human and make mistakes; I am passed that I’ll just hate my hair until it grows out. My frustration is with the lack of care and follow through from management. You would think with such a good reputation that would get a better quality so service. What a joke

I had an appointment with Mandy two weeks ago to get my threaded extensions tighten. They were 300$ to get tighten and that’s crazy. Even worse she didn’t tell me the payment until the end which may be my fault. She also didn’t do them right because the top row is half way falling off, the thread is coming undone. I had them in before going to her for 2 months and nothing happened like this.

I love this boutique/salon. They offer lots of different services, though Ive only ever done waxing, I would definitely try their other services. Very professional, kind and caring staff. Kristy is the best aesthetician ever! They also have cute clothes, shoes and jewelry and offer you refreshment while you wait. Really its a wonderful salon!

New location in a big shopping center. Cute clothes in the boutique. Friendly staff. Megan, the nail tech is great and will hand paint every request Ive made. I have hard gel nails and never have a problem with lifting or breakage. Easy to make appointments. They offer you a drink and treat you well.

I’ve not had a good experience with this place. A few months ago I had polish applied to my toes. It wrinkled overnight. They said they apologize but they used The wrong top coat. I went back to have it redone, let it dry for 3 hours and hopped on a plane. At my destination, I removed my socks and they were stuck to my toes. I had to find a store that sold remover.I figured I’d give them a third chance and got gel Finger nails Last week. Two days later, the polish slipped off one finger. I’ve been calling and even left a message, and cannot get through. I’d like them to redo that nail and fix the ones with poor coverage. It’s an hour past opening time and I leave tomorrow to another state for a party. I finally drove there and the tech was able to redo it.

Wish I could give lower than one star. Not only did this salon (stylist Charlie elder) chemically burn off 4 inches of my sisters hair and give her scalp chemical blisters and scabbing, when she went back the next day to see the manager (Morgan) showed no sympathy, or concern, and told her that what she experienced was to be expected! So head on in if you want a salon who allows stylists who dont know how to mix chemicals, and managers who wont care.

It was my first time visiting Amara Spa and it was a great experience, very friendly! Got my eyelashes done by Christine, won’t go anywhere else!! Drove down from Fruit Heights because of the amazing job she does and completely worth it!! I will definitely be back for sure!! I love Amara, great customer service. The only downside is that is so hard to schedule an appointment. Right now I have been trying to make an appointment and there is nothing available until middle of October, thats ridiculous. I feel like they are under staff.

Normally I really like Amara, but i am super unhappy with my experience there today. I went in for a Bayolage and a cut. I brought pictures. My hairdresser and i just couldnt get on the same wave length with my cut. She kept tryin to fix it, but I ended up saying it was fine how it was, because it was getting worse (and shorter and shorter). I had to even my sides when I got home myself with scissors. Then when I checked out, they charged me for full set of highlights and a root smudge instead of the bayolage that I thought I was paying for. Those are 2 different prices that I was not made aware of at the time of service. When I asked the check out lady, why they did that without mentioning it to me first, she just said, sorry, then preceded to tell me my total charges. It was very dismissive. I felt very unheard. I dont even like how this color turned out. I wanted a bayolage. Not to mention, the color isnt near as deep as what I asked for. Its just not near what I wanted. I went there to feel better about myself and I have done nothing but cry since I left.

I bought my wife a gift card here as a stocking stuffer. She said this place had some great stuff she liked.

I saw Kim for botox and am very happy with the result! She is knowledgeable and gave me great advice before my service. She helped me signed up for a program that gave me a $50 reward for my service - brilliant distinctions.

I have been to the Lehi location for various services and always leave unimpressed. They charge a premium for their services but the quality doesn’t match up. I got eyelash extensions done a week ago and they have almost all fallen out and look horrible (paid close to $200). I called and they weren’t able to get me in quickly to fix them and didn’t really seem to care. It seems that their staff isn’t very experienced. I won’t be giving this salon more chances.

I love LOVE coming here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the boutique has adorable and unique products. I get my hair done here often and have gotten my nails done a few times too. I havent tried their spa services yet, but they have a wide variety to choose from. Everything is high quality and the products smells great.

PSA - if you get a deep condition treatment you will have to pay an additional $30.00 for the blowout. $50 for deep conditioning and $30 for the blowout = $80 + tip.Also, they charge $80 for lash lift. If you go to one of the lash / eyebrow salons, they only charge $40.00 for lash lift. (Precise in orem is a good lash salon) Amara should be a little more competitive with their pricing.

70.00 deluxe pedicure without the my cuticles being clipped and paint on my skin. No thank you. Go somewhere half the price and the end product will be much better.

The only time I could make an appointment with my hair stylist was at 5pm because of their busy schedule. They called me 2 hours before to let me know that they were canceling it so they could help another customer. Not only did I have to sit around all day, but it was really disappointing to hear that they valued another customer over me. On their website, they say they will charge if you miss an appointment but they dont say anything about them standing you up. Will not return.

I am a long time fan of Amara in Orem, so when they opened Amara in Lehi which is closer to home, I was thrilled! I love the personal attention that I receive there. I have had a great experience with their nail technicians with shellac nails and toes, as well as various skin care treatments. An Amara gift card as a stocking stuffer or gift for friends/coworkers is the best!

The Lehi location feels a lot smaller than Orem, but the same service is there. I love going to Amara because everyone makes me feel super welcome and taken care of. I mostly go here for lash tints, but also the occasional haircut, and have never had a complaint. Every service has been high quality. Recommend!

My sister and I have been looking for a good place for a Mani and Pedi and we finally found it! Amara Day Spa was AMAZING! The technicians were friendly and did an amazing job. Best Shellac nail job I have ever had!Also, all of the items they use seem to be organic or at least not filled with many chemicals (doesnt smell like a typical nail salon). Their green tea, lemon grass, soak for the Mani was awesome!The only suggestion I would have is to ask for the Pedi first. They did ours last which caused us to run out to our car in those flimsy salon flip flops. And that caused me to ruin one of my toes :(.Other than that, it was an outstanding experience and we will definitely be going back!

We love Amara! My husband and I were going to the Orem location for years. We moved and were thrilled the Lehi location opened up. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and pleasant. All the services we have received have been perfect. Its great to have a one stop shop for nails, hair, waxing, shopping, etc.

Went here recently for a last minute brow tint. I told the person helping me what I specifically wanted. She didn’t seem to really care about my input and just did what she wanted anyway and I wasn’t to happy with the outcome of my brows. They were supposed to be a dark brown, but they faded back to normal within 2 DAYS of getting them done. Honeslty don’t think they have the best brow tint. I felt super rushed because she only spent 5 minutes on them. Overpriced for the “quality” of service. Not to impressed due to the fact that I usually get my brows down at the Skin science institute in Orem. The student are so professional and well trained and they always make sure I leave with the brow color I want. They will apply tint until it’s exactly what I want. I didn’t seem to get that input at AMARA. It was my first visit also and wasn’t impressed.

The place is super clean, the little boutique in there is a little spendy and by a little I mean I accidentally put on a $98 pair of sunglasses, super cute though, the service is on point! My hair stylist was super helpful, offered me tips on what products to use and which ones to avoid, the shampooing process was amazing, head massage, nice smelling product, she didnt take too much off which I loved but she made it look so much better!

Just received the worst haircut of my whole life. The most frustrating thing is that I explained when I called that I have extremely unforgiving hair (super blonde, super thick, super straight) and so I wanted to see their best most experienced stylist for a Square, blunt bob. They set up an appointment with a stylist in a few days. I reiterated that I would wait as long as it took to get the most experienced person and they assured me up and down that this girl was the best. Well, let me tell you, she was most definitely NOT the best. Shed only been there a year, and took the thinning shears to my hair horizontally when she saw that her initial layers were horrendous. Long story short, Im left with an unblended, choppy, lopsided haircut. I should go back and ask for it to be fixed but I dont trust anyone there at this point to come anywhere near my hair.

I seriously love going to Amara. Shelby and her assistant Savannah are the best and I’ll be a client for life because of them!

When I moved to UT, I had disappointment after disappointment when looking for a hair salon. After finding and loving Amara Orem, I moved more north and attempted to find a closer stylist, which left me in tears. Super excited when Amara opened a closer location. Every stylist has been amazing.
