OutstandingI recently had the opportunity to experience a very amazing tour. The wealth of knowledge our guide Matty showed us was well beyond 5 star. From local history to glacial reminders to one of the most exciting wildlife experiences I have experienced. Im talking moose, bison, elk, black bears, even grizzlies. This trip was filled with Eco enthusiasm from the moment the van was put into drive.A job well done by the team at Jackson Hole Eco Tours.

We did the full-day Yellowstone tour and had a great time! Seth was a fantastic guide—very knowledgeable of the park and went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable day. In addition to learning about the geological features of Yellowstone, Seth knew all the best spots for wildlife viewing and we were able to observe moose, bison, deer, elk and grizzly bears in their natural habitat. Would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing day in Yellowstone National park. Erik was an incredible guide. So knowledgeable about so many things, great storyteller, fun to spend time with. Made sure we saw lots of wildlife (he is literally constantly scanning the sides of the road while driving for wildlife, pointing it out and stopping as needed) including bear, bison, moose, a bald eagle, a great blue heron, deer, pronghorn antelope, badger, and others- all happening while we were on our way to all of Yellowstones famous spots. His knowledge about the thermal activity in the park (geysers, etc.), what was happening and why was impressive. The day flew by, we got many amazing photos, and most importantly some great lifelong memories. The SUV was very comfortable, the coffee was hot (french press!), snacks and lunch were great. Since it was just the two of us, he tailored it to our interests as we went along. On our way back to the hotel we kept spotting more wildlife and he was happy to continue to stop and show us new things even though we ended up getting back later than scheduled. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time on our tour of Yellowstone and Teton National Park! Verlin was very knowledgeable, personable and professional. He helped make the most out of our time in the parks by finding out what we were interested in and but also guided us to spots that only someone experienced with the parks would know about(not least of which was guiding us to the best restrooms and bypassing the worst!). He also provided a great deal of background information that we never would have learned otherwise especially about how forest fires have impacted the park over the years. The tours aren’t cheap but, I’d definitely recommend one if you can afford it and would highly recommend Verlin as a guide!

Tom Lindsey of ECO Tours guided us through a half-day (0630-1030) private tour of Grand Teton National Park. We take private tours whenever we go to new places. Tom was the best we’ve ever had. Super friendly, so knowledgeable, and a consummate professional. He made every effort to ensure that we understood our surroundings but also was patient and meticulous ensuring that we saw an abundance of wildlife (Bear, Moose, Elk, and Pronghorn). We’d recommend this tour and Tom as a ‘must do’ while in Jackson, Wyoming. Thank you Tom!

We booked this company for a guided tour of Yellowstone during our late-summer week in Jackson Hole. As first-timers to both the region and the National Park, it was invaluable to have their guide, Mark, available for the entire day. An experienced wildlife biologist, he was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the Yellowstone ecosystem to its history and its unique volcanic geology. Mark was professional, courteous, and engaging, and we learned so much from him throughout the day. I did the Fall Photography workshop and had an outstanding time. It is by far the best way to experience the Grand Teton and Yellowstone area. They consistently went out of their way to ensure that everyone had a blast, and saw what they wanted to see. You also get the benefit of being connected with a network of their other tours operating in the area at the time, alerting each other to wildlife viewing opportunities.Nate is an outstanding photographer with lots of great stories of his adventures, and is always willing to share his expertise and tips with the guests on the trip. Josh, a good photographer in his own right, definitely knows his stuff when it comes to wildlife, and loves sharing his knowledge. There is always plenty of food, snacks, and coffee at the ready, and the about the only thing more bountiful than the cheesy jokes constantly traded back and forth between Nate and Josh over the radio (ya dont have to be a dad to have dad jokes) are the number of amazing photographs youll come away with on this trip.

Well we didnt use them but we had the dubious pleasure of sharing the road with one of their drivers today. We were on the narrow two lane moose-wilson road when there was a traffic back up caused by some tourists looking at wildlife. He was behind us and was tired of waiting so he honked his horn to scare off the wildlife. Cut into the opposing lane and the cut off the van inf front of us nearly causing an accident. After all of this rudeness, selfishness and recklessness about a quarter of a mile he threw a three point turn making all of us slam on breaks to keep from hitting him and throwing his paying passengers around. No way would I ever use this company. So whoever was driving at 6:28 pm on 10-4 on moose-wilson road was an awful representation of this company!

My husband and I loved our tours with EcoTour Adventures! We took 2 tours. First, we did the full day Grand Teton Wildlife Tour with Ariel, and then we did the full day in Yellowstone with Laura and Eric. Both tours were amazing. What’s best about EcoTour Adventures is they provide high quality viewing equipment, and the vans and group sizes are comfortable. Additionally, the guides love what they’re doing and are very knowledgeable. Both days were jam packed with fun, adventure, snacks, and interesting fun facts about the wildlife and ecosystem. I valued the convenience and efficiency EcoTour Adventures offered as we were first timers to Jackson Hole.I would highly suggest doing both if you can, but if you only choose one, here are the big difference in my opinion. The Teton tour is really nice as it’s a little shorter and you really only focus on finding wildlife. We were very lucky and saw a lot! Moose, elk, mule deer, bison, and grizzlies! It was awesome. Yellowstone is a longer day, but you see so much! There’s definitely wildlife, but you also visit geysers, old faithful, the lower Yellowstone waterfall, and learn more about the ecosystem as a whole- not just wildlife. You can’t go wrong with either. Just choose EcoTour Adventures as your guide.

Our family wanted to take a tour of the Grand Tetons and after much research we decided to book with Jackson Hole Eco Tours. From the beginning this company was quick to respond and quite professional, booking with them was incredibly easy. We booked the full day tour and I am quite happy that we did as I feel we would have missed a lot on a half day tour. The night before our tour guide Tyler texted us with a warm welcome and he was punctual the next day with some hot chocolate and coffee on hand to warm up our cold souls. The vehicle used for the tour was perfect for our family of 4, quite comfortable and for those curious about Covid... Our guide did an excellent job following Covid protocols. Now on to the tour itself, it was fantastic not only because of all the different animals we got to admire out in nature but because our guide Tyler was just plain AMAZING. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the area was more than what we could have hoped for, he was extremely kind and considerate making sure at all times that we were comfortable. Hes got a keen eye for finding animals and a will to track them so that we can see them up close! We had a great time from beginning to end. An amazing two days in Yellowstone and Grand Teton! If you want a terrific experience of these two unbelievable parks you can stop looking now. Taylor and his crew are first-rate. From our first inquiry (where Taylor walked us through trip options and helped us really customize our tour) to meeting our guide Mike Vanian (incredible guide) to the tour itself it was a great experience. My wife, 13-year old daughter and I chose a two-day tour and Id highly recommend it. I cant imagine doing anything less than that. We saw nearly all the wildlife you would dream of seeing (black bear, grizzly with two cubs, bison herds, elk, pronghorn, and so many more). Mike knew so much about not just the mammals but the incredible geological features, plants, birds and history. Just driving around in the Expedition was a fantastic experience (and I felt sorry for all the people jammed into buses or worse transportation - which was about everyone else we saw). Even seeing everything we did we still just scratched the surface. These parks are huge. Each morning we were greeted with french press coffee (we would also enjoy some each afternoon). Mike also had some great secret spots away from the crowds for our two picnic lunches. There was an iPad and notebook for keeping track of all the wildlife we saw - these kept my 13-year old engaged the entire trip (not an easy task!) These touches really helped make the tour a super experience for all 3 of us.One other thing worth mentioning: even the locals really admire the folks at Eco Tours. At one nature stop we were watching an area where Mike knew there was a wolf den. One of the folks who camps out at this spot all day to watch wolves came up to us and asked if we were on an Eco Tour trip. She then whispered that a hiker had scared off the wolves earlier in the day and that the mother had crossed the road with two of her pups. She said shed only tell us about it because we were with Eco Tours and that it was the only tour company she respected. It gave us a shot at seeing the wolves (alas it was mid-day and they were too well hidden). But I thought that was one of the best recommendations I could hear.I just cant recommend Eco Tours, Taylor and Mike highly enough. They care so deeply about these ecosystems and are so incredibly knowledgable. Do you and your family a favor and just book the trip. You wont regret it!

In addition to educating all of the group, Collin spent extra time with my grandson explaining and teaching him so much about the park and the wildlife. We were fortunate enough to see a grizzly bear eating a fallen elk, moose, elk, a herd of bison and different varieties of birds. Eco Tour provided a very comfortable ride with rooftop hatches to stand up in for a different view. Also, we were offered drinks, snacks, and lunch. The binoculars and telescopes they provided for the day were great. My grandson said it perfectly -- This was the best part of our Jackson Hole vacation.

We booked an all day Yellowstone National Park (lower 8) package for four (2 adults & 2 kids). Laura was our guide. She picked us up at our condo and from the moment we met her she was very personable and a wealth of knowledge on the Jackson Hole area, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. There were 3 other people on the tour and it was a fun group. The vans are comfortable and spacious and Laura has drinks, breakfast, snacks, lunch and more snacks for us throughout the day. Yellowstone overall was very crowded, but being with Laura and Eco Tours allowed us to relax and enjoy the sights without worrying about traffic, parking or figuring out where to go. We had a really fun day and I know our family will remember this trip. We would definitely book with them again. Best, Meredith Withers

Fantastic morning tour of the Tetons with Kelsey W. We saw so much wild life, I lost track. Kelsey has an incredible depth of knowledge and insight about the area and all of the wildlife inhabitants. She took routes that offered the most amazing sites, often off of the beaten path. Highly recommend this tour, the Eco tour company and Kelsey!

Zack was our guide for the Yellowstone tour and he did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to try to show us a moose. We had the chance to see bison, elk andsuprisingly snow in August. Although a good portion of our tour was in the rain we still had a great time and I would recommend Eco Tour in Jackson to all.

We had such a great time on our Ecotour Adventure! Our naturalist guide, Josh, made sure we saw all of the things we wanted to see plus much more! He really educated us about the park, animals, plants, everything. He was playful and patient with our kids ages 7 and 4 years old. He really gave us a 5 star experience so now we call him 5-star Josh! We definitely would recommend using Ecotours Adventures! It was a very special part of our vacation.

We booked a sunrise Wildlife Tour with Arielle and a private Birding Tour with Shaun. Both of our guides were friendly and very knowledgeable about Grand Teton and its ecosystem. The tours were a great and efficient way to discover the park and to learn about its wildlife. We frequented several areas of the park that we hadnt found through our own research. They provided high-quality binoculars, the vehicles were comfortable and clean, and the snacks were delicious. From start to finish, we received excellent service and recommend EcoTours without reservation.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our adventure with EcoTour. Laura was highly knowledgeable, and a passionate guide. It was a pleasure to take in all the wildlife that call Grand Teton National Park home. During our February tour, we observed and photographed Elk, Moose, Bison, Bighorn Sheep, and Bald Eagles. Dont underestimate the value of having a local expert guide you and drive you through one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Laura, and company owner Taylor, a special thanks for providing a terrific service. We look forward to our next adventure with you. Cheers.

My wife and I had a fabulous time on a full day tour. Our guide Chelse was knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. We saw moose, black bear, coyote, pronghorn, bison, elk and more. The highlight was watching a mother moose and her two calves interact with a young bull moose. He was very interested in her, but she wasnt as interested in him; unbelievable experience!

We had an awesome day with Laura in Grand Teton National Park! We learned an incredible amount about the history of the area, the geology, flora, and fauna. We saw bison, moose, eagles, elk, kestrel, pronghorn, deer, and many more. On top of being experts in the area, EcoTours does a lot to support conservation in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. I want to come back for winter wildlife!

My family and I were in JH for a bit and decided to contact Ecotours as the website would not let you book slots if it was too close to the requested date/time (a message popped up stating there may still be slots available and to call them). I called the number numerous times, left a detailed voicemail, and never received a response.Interestingly enough we decided to research the best spots for wildlife observation during the winter and we ended up running into several Ecotours vans/SUV’s at a few of the stops (especially around antelope flats as the Moose seem to enjoy chomping on the bitterbrush). I must say that after observing what they provide and the information they shared with guests at those stops I think they did us a huge favor in terms of experience enjoyment and cost savings by not calling back, for several reasons.1) It doesn’t seem they take you anywhere that is off-limits to regular folks. If the road is closed then they don’t have access to it either as their vehicles seem to be pretty standard (as opposed to the huge snowcoaches up in Yellowstone that take you to Old Faithful and other off-limits areas).2) It’s difficult (and unfair) to generalize, especially considering I don’t know how many guides/vans they’re running, but the few that we ended up eavesdropping on were not providing any sort of unique or interesting information, and what they were saying wasn’t even being done in an engaging way. It was literally packing everybody in, next stop, get out, look, talk, repeat.3) Minimal spotting scopes and binoculars available for groups. I only saw 1 spotting scope per group/vehicle, so you had to wait your turn to watch (which isn’t fun, as those offer a great view). Again, just a group of people being cycled through like some sort of theme park ride.Initially I was a bit bothered by their lack of interest in our business, but ultimately I ended up being very thankful that we didn’t spend our money with them (or any tour company in that area) for the sunrise/sunset wildlife viewing tour (I cannot speak to any other tour types). We had a much greater time in our own vehicle (you don’t need a massive 4x4, there were fwd sedans with snow tires on the same roads), having purchased our own viewing equipment for each person, while listening to podcasts about the area and wildlife. An added bonus to that was that we controlled the pace and location of our excursion.
