3D/2N Yellowstone Snowmobile TourWe (3 couples) just returned from our private guided tour that occurred Jan 9th-11th, 2021 provided by Scenic Safari in Jackson Hole, WY.There are a lot of moving parts to review for this trip.Let me reduce this review down to say a couple of things.If you are considering this excursion, you must do it!. It is an experience of a lifetime.If youve never even sat on a snowmobile before, it doesnt matter. These machines are safe, reliable, dependable and easy to operate.Once youve decided to go just choose Scenic Safaris. You will not be disappointed. These guys are the best. Hands down. We encountered other tours out in the park. We were with the best.Once youve made your reservations with Scenic, you must request Kris V. as your guide.I could write chapters about the grandeur but our guide Kris made this experience epic for us.

Fantastic all day adventure. We rented side-by-side for 8 hours and the time flew by. Great way to explore Grand Tetons and neighboring locations. Trail maps make it easy to follow and enjoy nature in a different way. We had plenty of room for cooler for lunch. Highly recommend for families looking for something a bit different.

Great trip into Yellowstone to see Old Faithful erupt after waiting an entire two minutes! Our guide Jared did a great job getting everyone comfortable with driving their Skidoo and then off we went on the 100 mile round trip journey through Yellowstone NP! Plenty of time to visit Biscuit Basin and the bison herd there.

We rented side-by-sides and it was okay. The staff seemed disengaged, the directions were unclear, and the trail area they suggested had no trails, just rough road with stone. However the machine was very nice, top of the line. Easy to drive and navigate.

Great service, friendly folks. We werent sure what to expect really (as far as rules go) but we had a lot of freedom to get out and ride the UTV in a lot of areas. Would 100% recommend spending a day cruising with your family around Slide Lake area and Curtis Canyon.

We had an amazing winter tour in the snow coach with Bobby! He was very informed about the wildlife and science behind all of the geothermals etc that makes Yellowstone such a treasure. The kids, parents and grandparents enjoyed this trip equally. It was an experience we will never forget! Very CoVod safe also! We were nice and warm in the snowcoach and ventured out for short hikes tailored to what our group could handle. I can recommend this tour enough. Yellowstone in winter is absolutely magical.

Yellowstone Snowmobile Tour:We did a private tour (party of four) on February 12, 2021. Great outdoor adventure. It was like driving through a winter wonderland. Our tour guide Joe was very professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. He was also exceedingly patient while teaching these first time snowmobilers how to drive. Would recommend this tour group to anyone looking for a wonderful experience snowmobiling through Yellowstone National Park.

Their website makes you fill out everything on the form, just to tell you that online scheduling is not available at this time, and that all reservations need to be made by calling in... so I’ve tried calling every day (at LEAST 3 times a day) for over a week now TRYING to get a hold of someone to discuss snowmobile tours. I’ve left 2 messages. Never received a callback. The only person I was able to ACTUALLY talk to told me to call back later and ask for “reservations”

We recently purchased a snowcoach Yellowstone tour for our family of 8. Eleanor was our first contact to get us started and was very helpful. Our oldest son wanted to propose to his girlfriend during the trip if he could find the right spot and right time. We let the guide know prior to the trip so he could help him set it up. Fitz was our guide and could not have been more helpful. He let the other guides know so their groups would have time to clear out, so they could have the spot to themselves for the occasion. He even did the photography! LOL. All along the way he shared some of the history about the park and made it fun. Fitz, we love you man, you helped make memories for our family and we appreciate it more than you will ever know.

Grand Teton Van Tour:Amazing!! We had Kal and he was so awesome! He was full of knowledge and interesting facts about Jackson and all surrounding national parks. He showed us some rad spots and we were even able to see a ton of wildlife!Highly recommended

So much fun! Our guide, Christian, liked to go fast, and made sure we had plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy Yellowstone. He was a great park interpreter. The staff there to help us get ready was so helpful. You wont be sorry!

Mandy helped us out, and was more then SUPER helpful!! I have a truck that can handle the trails, so we were just asking for directions to a trail. She spent 15 minutes giving us great directions drawing on a map. She was so helpful we decided to rent a side by side for the next day! Highly recommend to anyone in the area!!

My experience with SS was excellent. We chose the Grand Teton half-day morning tour which was 7:30 to 1:30 including pickup from hotel to drop off at hotel. There is a 1.5 hour bus ride there and 1.5 hour bus ride but you may see some wildlife during the drive. The only problem with the ride is that it can be very bumpy some of the time.You will have about 1.5 hrs of snowmobiling time in the form of a guided tour which is basically as straight line to your destination and back which totals 32 miles. The ride is very scenic and beautiful and driving the machine isn’t very difficult. The guide will go over everything so no need to worry. Our guide was Joe and he did a phenomenal job. He made it clear that safety is the first priority and he was very helpful and friendly the entire trip. He was also very knowledgeable so we got to learn a few new things along the way. During the ride he was very careful and thoughtful of our surroundings and made sure no one was left behind or left out.SS provides a suit, boots, a helmet and gloves so no need to bring heavy jackets. They also provide granola bars and water. The only other downside I can think of is the price, but that seems to be out of anyone’s control at the time being because all the other companies are charging the same price. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again, especially if I got a guide like Joe again.

We had a great guided Side By Side half day tour. Our guide was Jimmy and he was awesome. The whole family loved it. Be prepared to get a little wet and muddy. It was well worth the cost.

2/13/21 We did the snow coach tour with Zach threw part of Yellowstone. Zach was awesome and very informative. It was very pricy due to covid restrictions but we were really glad we did it .

My wife and I decided to schedule an Old Faithful snowmobile tour as weve never visited Yellowstone during the winter. It did not disappoint. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional and we highly recommend this trip to anyone. We are locals and have visited Yellowstone more than most, yet our guide, Jerad, was able to show us some amazing new spots. Jerad was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and an asset to Scenic Safaris. We loved our trip and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you!!!

It was our second trip for my wife and I, the first trip for our 3 children (18, 16, 13) it was our first time with Scenic Safaris. Our first trip was 22 years ago, with an organization out of Jackson and it worked but we had nothing to compare it to. This group Scenic Safaris was much more organized, had nicer equipment and provided ALL THAT WAS NEEDED to make it more enjoyable as well as comfortable. The breakfast and lunch were hot, complete, and covered all of the bases. Our guide Zach was experienced (60th trip into the park this year) and had a personal interest and knowledge in volcanic features and wildlife which showed in his translation to us. We would recommend this tour group.

Cooper was an amazing tour guide. He did great on hitting what was important to us. He made it comfortable for us to drive and didn’t make it to hard to keep up. We were high enough we saw lots of wild life including a bear!

Some friends and I toured the Lower Loop of Yellowstone with Terry. We had an incredible time and it was the highlight of our three week road trip. Very knowledgeable and ready to share with his guests. Scenic Saffaris is offering a great service to Yellowstone and the Tetons as they were key to us having such an incredible time in Jackson.

One of the best adventures I have ever done! We rented ATVs and a trailer from Scenic Safari for the day. They provided helmets and a map with suggested trails. We hit an area of the Teton Natl Park where we hadnt been yet and had a blast! Great sight-seeing and beautiful country. The road is rough in parts but you want that in an ATV ride. Would definitely recommend!

This was a fantastic experience! My wife and I took the Yellowstone Snow Coach today. We were picked up at our hotel at 630am and dropped back at around 600pm. Our driver/guide/expert was Fitz. He was personable and knowledgeable, and a great driver. We saw Old Faithful, buffalo, waterfalls, deer, elk, and several thermal features as well. A delicious breakfast and lunch were included. Do this tour. Ask for Fitz.

Full day side by side guided tour. Amazing experience! Our guide Jerod was top notch and genuinely tried to make it the best trip for my wife and I.. and he succeeded! He scouted the best areas for us to see the best views and wildlife. Would highly encourage booking this trip.

We are a family of 3 with a 10 year old. This was our first visit to the area which occurred the 3rd week of Feb and I am so happy that we selected Scenic Safari to guide us during our stay. We did 3 different excursions with them (Gros Ventre Van Tour, Gros Ventre Snowmobile Tour, & Yellowstone Snow Coach Tour). All 3 experiences exceeded our expectations in every way. This is a top notch group. Highly organized and communicative. They are true professionals who know the area and shared so much info about its rich history. We had a different guide each day and they all went out of their way to ensure our experience was truly memorable. As parents, my wife and I simply would not have been able to enjoy the experience through the eyes of our 10 year old son without their guidance, hospitality, organization and professionalism. I am so grateful we trusted our entire 3-day Jackson / Yellowstone experience to this group and would recommend them to anyone.

We did the trip to Old Faithful today. Our guide Peter was fantastic. He was very attentive to our group making sure our day was perfect. The scenery was amazing and we saw lots of Bison. This excursion was one of our favorite experiences and would definitely recommend it.

What a great trip. I got to see Yellowstone in the winter and it was beautiful! We got to see some wildlife, waterfalls, mud pots, geysers. The park is not open to the public in the winter, so theres no crowds and you feel like you have the entire park to yourself. Incredible. My tour guide Will was SO kind and knowledgeable; he even gave great recommendations for dinner and breakfast the next day. This trip was definitely one of my favorites parts of Jackson.

The snowmobile trip was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Peter was great. He was all about making good time so we could see as much of the park as possible but not at the expense of leaving someone behind. He let the group set the pace, and he is a safety guy so no foolin around on the machines. Equipment is top notch. Great experience would highly recommend. We will do this again

Our guide Zach was amazing, knowledgeable about the location and culture, understanding and very patient. Our trip was never boring, while the Bigfoot Van would get hot that never subtracted from the experience. Old Faithful was an amazing site along with the other hot springs and thermal locations, and our guide explained them and gave us so much awesome information.Lunch was fine and the trip back to base was fast and simple seeing some of the awesome locations, thanks for the great experience.

Fitz was a top-notch guide for the Snow Coach Yellowstone tour. He went above and beyond so that everyone in our group had a great time. The sights we saw were spectacular! Highly recommend.

Go only if u want to risk your life. Our guide planned the trip poorly and we were asked to drive the snowmobile above the speed limit for most of the trip(more than 40 MPH). During the entire trip, I was extremely stressed because the guide was driving extremely fast in the front and u would be dropped if u did not catch up. Moreover, I had a minor accident due because I pushed myself too hard to follow the guide. The guide did a very simple security check and asked me to drive the snowmobile another 80 miles. However, when I went back to the base, they said the snowmobile were severely damaged and I had to pay more than $600 for the repair. Cmon, how can I drive 80+ miles on a severely damaged snowmobile? So it is either the guide is very irresponsible and asked me drive on an severely damaged unsafe snowmobile for 80+ miles or the company lied to me and wanted bloody money. Moreover, they asked u to pay with credit card immediately and would not let u leave if u did not pay. Totally unacceptable.Dont go if u dont want to risk ur life. There are better choices in Jackson.

One of the best tours. Or guide Chris was outstanding. We were there for wildlife photography and Chris being a photographer had a keen eye for all the best shots. He knew where to go to find the Bison, Elk, Deer, Swans and some of the best views of the Teton. We did a 1/2 day tour and only wished we had done the full day. Outstanding tour.

This company is awesome! We rented two - four seater side by sides that ended up being pretty close to the top of the line machines and they were in fantastic condition. Great service ans ATVs. Would/will 100% rent again.Long story short we had a flat, it happens, riding some pretty rough stuff way up in Gros Ventre wilderness. There was zero cell service but they had brilliantly given us a sat phone which we were able to message them on. They sent a mechanic out right and away and got us back on our way. Needless to say we were all pretty impressed with the service and the quality of machines.

I would like to thank Kris, Mikey and Joe for not only being great guides but also for keeping us safe. We were very pleased with the meals, clothing and snowmobiles. Everything was wonderful!! Our trip to Old Faithful didnt work out due to weather conditions, but want to thank Joe for getting us there and back safely, we appreciate what you did that day. We were blessed to see as animals in their natural habitat as we did.I highly recommend this company, we look forward to coming back some day! You guys rock!!

Covid price gougers. We booked a Yellowstone snowmobile tour in August 2020 for February 2021. This was long after Covid 19 was an issue, website stated they would require masks and take temperatures. Scenic Safaris just informed us that they need to charge us an additional $2235.00 due to Covid 19. I talked to anouther company that does the same tours and they did not change there pricing, everything is booked though. Im sure they knew most people couldnt afford that and would cancel so they could resell the tour at inflated pricing. I wouldnt use them. Try anouther company. I would give it a no star rating but that is not an option.

Such a great company to travel with!! We called to check availability for a snowmobiling trip to Yellowstone and they got us in immediately for the next day. It was incredibly easy to make a reservation - spoke to Taylor who was great to talk with; he gave us all the information including any possible additional costs. All meals were included, along with the snowsuit/helmet/boot rental (which you have to have!). We had the BEST guide Joe for our trip snowmobiling in Yellowstone, he is extremely personable, knowledgeable, funny, and made us prepared for the quick in’s and outs of snowmobiling in a National Park. Felt extremely safe doing something we’d never done before on ice/snow. Also Joe is highly educated in wildlife management and gave us so much interesting information on our various sites. He also made sure we saw the wildlife without impeding on their territory. This was the absolute best part of our trip to Jackson Hole. If you guys don’t use Scenic Safaris you’re definitely missing out! Thanks again guys!!

Our party of 6 had a great time. Bri was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and fun. She took us to some great spots in Yellowstone and it was amazing to get to see the park in the winter.

Took the snowmobile tour to Old Faithful. Pros: Our guide was excellent...knowledgeable, solicitous and fun. Scenery was spectacular. Food was good.Cons: Snowsuit was ill fitting making it extremely difficult to walk. Opted for their boots and should have used my own as they are much warmer. Hands froze...neither their gloves nor mittens were warm, even with hand and toe warmers. No restroom facilities until Old Faithful which is 2.5 hour trip to/from.Being so cold over shadowed the beauty and fun making it a miserable experience.Helpful tips: Spend the money to purchase your own snow gear.Strange as it sounds, consider incontinent underwear due to lack of porta potty or restrooms.Do NOT book successive trips until you see how you handle the extreme temps as there are NO REFUNDS.If you want to see the beautiful scenery in comfort, check the snow coach trip.

A group of 7 of us took 2 tours with Scenic Safaris. We had a half-day tour of Grand Tetons National Park and several days later we did a full-day tour of Yellowstone. Both trips were wonderful! First, we had Tim as our driver/guide and for the second trip we had James. Both were very knowledgeable and pleasant and fun; they made sure we had a great time on both trips. Really made our trip to Jackson special and unforgettable.

We were expecting a lot more from the Yellowstone trip, but by end of the day we only visited the old faithful geyser that was fine and the mud pool. They picked us up in the hotel late, so we left around 8AM, then we spend long time in the breakfast area. So, the total time visiting Yellowstone was short. We asked our guide to take us to other pools, like Sapphire and Morning Glory, and she said she never went there and we did not have time, but the pools were 5min from us. By the price we paid, that is very high, we were expecting much more. I do not recommend this safari. If you have the opportunity, cancel your booking and ask your money back!

Froze the entire trip. I snowmobile in negative 30 degree weather and never feel cold. The gear they give you is not the right type of gear. Also the gear was all ripped. Boots were not warm at all. Feet froze. Couldnt really enjoy the experience because all I kept thinking about was how cold i was.JEFF WAS GREAT!! HE GETS 5 STARS!!

We took the three day Safari starting on January 8-11th, 2019. Our Master Guide was Jimmy who was wonderful. We had a group of six and had a great time. Scenic Safari provides new equipment, great food, good lodging. Jimmy made our trip through Yellowstone a true adventure showing us things not normally seen on most tours. I highly recommend Scenic Safaris especially with Jimmy as a Guide. Thanks for a great safari and all the memories.

All I can say is wow! Being from Georgia I had never been on a snowmobile tour before and didnt know what to expect. I was very impressed with the way our whole trip with Scenic Safaris was. Our guide John was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. It was a pleasure to have someone like him not only show us Yellowstone but teach us all about the many features the park has to see. The food was delicious as well and the whole trip was very well organized. First class all the way. Great job Scenic Safaris!

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP! My family had a reunion here at JH and decided to do a full-day tour with Scenic Safari. There were 12 of us so we had the whole van full to ourselves. Ryan picked us up right on time and proceeded to give us the best day of the vacation. Although the elk, deer, geothermal pools, fountain clay pots, waterfalls, old faithful, and other sights were all amazing, the best part of the trip was Ryan himself! He was a WEALTH of knowledge about the park, animals, and sights. He knew the best times to be at the sights and the best ways to get there. He would constantly point out animals on the side of the road that we hadnt even seen, and spotted a herd of deer 1000 yards away by their antlers sticking up from the tall grass. AMAZING! If youre going to Jackson Hole in the summer and want to do a tour of Teton National Park and Yellowstone in the coolest vehicle around, Scenic Safari is the way to go. And, if youre going to get a tour from Scenic Safari, MAKE SURE RYAN IS YOUR GUIDE! Thanks Ryan!

We took the snow mobile tour to Old Faithful today and it was fabulous! Ree is a truly outstanding tour guide, knowledgeable, engaged, hard-working (from pick-up at 6 am to drop-off at 5:30 pm) and honestly caring: boy it was cold today but she made sure we all were warm enough and happy.The snow mobiles were nice and new. The speed was „extremely sporty“ and the points we visited plentiful, so much more beautiful and interesting than the underwhelming Old Fathful geyser. We were really happy.The breakfast and lunch were very good, the staff at the lodge very friendly and helpful, a through and through awesome day.

We did two tours with the Senic: First with snow coach two Old Faithful and second the Grand Canyon. Ralf was our guide Old Faithful and he made great atmosphere and was very knowledgeable. Ralf also planed the trip very well as we were able two see many things on the right time concerning the weather, other travelers and so on.Haley was our guide on the snowmobile tour to the Grand Canyon, this was a great experience as this trip takes you to a much wilderness area than to Old Faithfully and we were able to see lots of wildlife. Haley was also great guide, very informative that knew also very well how to lead the group and to make the trip very enjoyable although for some it was a bit cold.If someone should chose which one of the two to do, we first recommend to make a snowmobile rather then snow coach and second to do the Grand Canyon tour rather than the Old Faithful.

Not really sure why there are so many negative reviews for this company. I guess some people are just miserable and hard to please! Anyway, hubs and I went yesterday (January 12th) and had the time of our lives! We were picked up around 6 am at our hotel then driven about 1.5 hours to entrance of Grand Teton National Park. -So the way this works you have to purchase a national park pass to enter there as well as to get into South entrance of Yellow Stone. We also learned you can split with another couple which saves on price. We were suited up in snow gear and also served a nice breakfast before taking off for the day. Don’t ignore when they tell you to purchase hand warmers for gloves and boots! This tour also includes lunch up at old faithful and many many enjoyable stops a long the way. We rode approximately 100 miles and got to see several bison and historic landmarks. I loved it!! Joe was hands down the best tour guide we could have asked for! You won’t regret it. Exceptionally friendly staff with the entire company.

We did about a 60 mile round trip snowmobile guided trail through the Gros Ventre. Was an amazing experience and the guide was very talkative and knowledgeable. Would do this many more times.

Me and my family took the old faithful snow coach tour through yellowstone national park to old faithful. Our tour guide was Jared A. and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the park, environment, and animals. He made a long day enjoyable and made sure we saw all the park had to offer. Scenic Safaris stepped in when another outfitter canceled the night before. I would highly recommend this tour guide and company for any excursions in the park. Also had an incredible breakfast and a great lunch.

Awesome Yellowstone old faithful trip by snowmobile. Once in a lifetime bucket list experience. Our guide Andy was very knowledgeable and definitely got us the most out of the trip. We were able to see moose and a tonne of bison which approached us very closely on our sleds. I highly recommend this trip with senic safaris..

Sam was an excellent guide and I felt he had a little more than your standard park facts as he has lived in this area his whole life. We took the snow coach tour and this park is incredibly beautiful in the winter covered in snow. Also, in the winter, there are waaay fewer people than the summer months.

One of the absolute BEST experiences of my life! Snowmobiling Yellowstone in the middle of winter (albeit a rather warm one this year) is a MUST for any outdoor enthusiast! Our guide Adam was awesome, he had a bunch of knowledge about the park and animals and made sure we stopped at all the animal sightings, which resulted in my first view of a live wild grizzly bear! I will definitely be making this trip again someday!

Took about a 3 hour trip through national elk refuge with Ryan. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions about the animals, plants, and history of surrounding areas. Views were great and saw a lot of wildlife. Would definitely do this again.

My husband and I went out with Tim on the Teton Vista ATV Tour and had a blast!!! Tim was knowledgeable of the ecology and biology of the area. He also point out bear tracks and other animal sights. The views were amazing and the trail was just challenging enough. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a wild adventure.

Did the Grand Teton sunset dinner tour. Our guide, Devon was great! Very knowledgeable and fun and he could spot elk like nobodys business. But for $165 per person (plus park pass + gratuity), the value was lacking. The food was okay (alcohol not included). Be ready for hours riding in a van for hours and maybe seeing some wildlife here and there.

We had Tim on the Teton sunset and the next day the full Yellowstone tour with Ryan. Both were excellent and we learned different facts from each one. We had a wonderful time with both and would 100% recommend this group.

First time snowmobile tour to Yellowstone , which was AWESOME! Our guide was exceptional. Jason was knowledgeable, friendly and concerned about each person in the group having a good experience. When we got back to the office we were pleased with the staff and their helpfulness.

First time in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole in the Winter time. Took a Snowmobile tour to old Faithful and it was absolutely amazing!! Saw Bison up close, water falls and geysers, not mention rippin on sleds! Great Full service company and the guide was real chill and fun!

Woke up at 5:30 am, picked up and drove two hours to the park entrance, paid $80 for the entrance pass (Non refundable), arrived at the the lodge to go snowmobiling, got suited up, all to be told ‘sorry the South entrance to the park is closed’. Get back in the van and drive two hours back to jackson hole. Thanks but no thanks.While I fully appreciate that the company does not control the weather, nor the status of the park entrance, this one star review is for the experience we had. What was especially difficult is that the weather while was not blue bird, it was not bad, 10 mph tops on the breeze, sky visible in some areas, according to the company there was snow on the road... yeah, hence the snowmobiles right. That was 5 hours we wont ever get back. Hey Scenic Safaris tell the park superintendent who Im sure your in touch with we think they suck, if they had to make it in the real world they wouldn’t stand a chance. I wish we had a chance to see Yellowstone.

The ATV trip leader on 7/8 in the morning was inconsiderate and quite rude. My boyfriend and I were camping on shadow mountain, on a designated marked campsite, and he decided to pull up 2 trucks full of ATVs at our CLEARLY MARKED campsite at 8 am and started revving the engines and instructing people how to ride the ATVs. There were many other spots on the mountain that he couldve done this, but he decided to disturb us at our campsite, forcing us to leave as as we didnt necessarily want to listen to loud engines on our relaxing camping trip at 8 am. I wouldnt recommend this as it was very unprofessional.

One of your guys southbound along the snake toward Jackson just had to express his hate for either tourists or women by trolling along in the gravel parts of the lane today, trying to damage my vehicle. Im seeing a trend with the nasty guys who do this in company vehicles no less. Ew.Before the owner gets all uppity about my 1 star reviews, I have a positive account thats full of glowing reviews. You didnt make the cut. :)
