Showed up at 0900 and they were ready to get us on the trails. They gave us maps and showed us some great trails to go on. They were right and we had a blast. The Honda Talon ran great and was a blast off road. We were in town from Louisville KY and when we come back we will definitely rent from Jackson Hole Backcountry again. Thanks guys!!!

We had an amazing day on the 2 seater side by side! Max was an amazing help and we had such an incredible day. Anyone considering renting from here should absolutely not hesitate. We will definitely we back to do it again. The wildlife, service, and hospitality was fantastic. We will be back!!!!

Rented a 5 seater UTV with my family and we had a great time. The machinery worked as expected and the check-in process was faster and easier than what i’ve experienced in the past. Helmets were available and optional for adults. One thing to note is that there is a lot of main street driving to get from one area of trails to another, and with all the summer traffic in Jackson this time of year, you lose a lot of time just driving through town. For this reason I’m glad we decided to do the full day instead of half day. Mosquito Creek was absolutely beautiful - would recommend taking the drive out there.

We rented a two seater side by side for my birthday and were super happy with our experience! The staff was really nice and helpful. We had so much fun riding through the national forest near by. It was definitely worth the money for the experience and trails we got to ride on. We wished we could have rented it a second day! The staff was even nice when we accidentally returned it late. I would definitely recommend renting a side by side through JH back country.

Was easy to get a UTV and maps were very straight forward.The owner Max and his wife were very nice. Plus their dog is awesome!!!Max was very helpful and explained things well.You can do a short trip or a longer one.I would recommend bringing hats, coats or layers for higher altitudes.I would recommend doing this for everyone.One thing I would suggest is to take it easy if your not used to driving a UTV and if your a but taller go for the 4 seater.

Excellent day of off-road adventure in & around Jackson. It’s such a fun way to get around town, but the trails around the National Elk Refuge are gorgeous and offer incredible views!

Such nice people and the Honda RTVs that they have are SO awesome. We drove ours all the way to Wilson and saw a moose on the Mosquito Creek trail. Highly Recommend these guys!!

We rented a 2 seat and 5 seat utv July 3, Awesome trails, AWESOME equipment, put just around 100 miles in. Maxs service was OUTSTANDING!!! had a flat up in the hills, Max met us up there and changed the tire maybe lost 15-20 minutes of riding (THANKS MAX!!!). We rented two mountain snowmobiles for a weekend. The service Max provided was absolutely outstanding! Rental prices were very fair, and the equipment was in great condition. Jackson Hole Backcountry Rentals is a top-notch service in Jackson Hole!Max is very attentive and knowledgeable owner. We went snowmobiling with kids and Max had right equipment for all of us. Snowmobiles are in an immaculate condition, helmets were top of the line, clean and it was not a problem finding right sizes for 7 and 9 year-old kiddos. Snowmobiles came with the trailer, which was super easy to operate. We will definitely be renting from Jackson Hole Backcountry Rentals again.

We had a great experience renting a snowmobile from the initial conversation to dropping it back off at the end of the day. Rented two snowmobiles over Christmas with Sport utility and trailer. Because we were not familiar with the area Max gave us maps and information about the trails. He was great to work with andmade it very easy for out of towner’s.very nice equipment, we will definitely go back!!

Wish I could give these guys six stars. Best rate in the area, dropped off and picked up our all day rental for what our friends paid for half day - and they had to pick theirs up.Great recommendations on trails, no issues with equipment, had an absolute blast.We did the self guided trip. Started on the elk refuge, went to the lake and then made it way to mosquito creek. I would have started at mosquito creek for the more adventurous trails. The elk refuge is much easier driving.Never had to take the Honda Pioneer out of 2wd turf mode. I did have to put it in low gear to cross a couple of logs.

What a blast! Excellent service from kind, professional and knowledgeable staff. A full day in the backcountry with our teen boys was the highlight of our trip. We have rented side by sides on several vacations but we have never had such a great adventure. Thank you!

Our group rented a 5 seater Honda side by side, and it was a great time. Max delivered the side by side to a nearby parking lot, quickly gave us the run down and even showed us some awesome local trails and lookouts. Great service and knowledgeable staff!

Hi had a wonderful day today we rented the Honda 5 seater out and had a blast. Max was extremely responsive and on the morning of the pickup meet us promptly at 9 a.m. Max provided a map and had some great tips on where to go. The buggy ran flawless and got great mileage. The buggy was sufficient size for the 5 of us and was very good a handling the terrain. I texted Max 30 minutes before returning to our meeting place and he was there waiting for us. This was an awesome adventure.

New vehicles that we never had an issue with. We were a bit late so we called and no problems whatsoever.

We rented sleds from Max here a few years ago. He was awesome to deal with and has the beat prices around! I believe they have more competitive prices as they do not have a store front anywhere. We met Max with sleds in Jackson at Kmart and all was perfect! Yes it may seem a bit different but I can tell you to trust Jackson Backcountry Rentals 100%. I’m leaving a two star Review, because first we ended up having a different machine delivered then we had reserved. Second, they had written the wrong number down so they couldn’t get a hold of us when they got to our hotel to drop it off so we had to call them. Then third, we ended up riding for a half day instead of the full day. They weren’t willing to give us any kind of discount or anything so I was pretty disappointed. We should’ve atleast gotten a discount for not getting the machine we had reserved.After all they made it right and refunded us some money so I really appreciate that!!

Backcountry Rentals was awesome! Our ATV was delivered to our rental house in the morning promptly at 0830h with a full tank of fuel, a map, and helpful advice advice on where to go. Our ATV was in perfect condition, and our helmets were in brand new condition. We are a family of 4 (two adults and two teenagers), and we drove along the Gros Ventre River for hours into the backcountry, venturing onto the side ATV roads. The views were spectacular! Lots of places to pull off along the river and enjoy beautiful scenery (lots of Elk). Returned home at 1600h, and called Backcountry Rentals for pick up of our vehicle. They came 15 minutes later. We cannot recommend this company enough. 5 stars!! Thank you for a wonderful back county adventure in Jackson Hole.

Rented snowmobiles for the day from JH Backcountry Rentals with friends, one person rented somewhere else. Our experience from Backcountry Rentals was far better then with the other company. Lower prices, better service, later return time, delivery and fuel. Our sled from the competition had to be returned an hour earlier, did not include fuel, and they charged us for a broken clip that we did not break. From now on I will only recommend JH Backcountry Rentals.

Max with Jackson Hole Backcountry is one of the nicest most professional individuals I have had the pleasure renting with.We reserved a Honda Pioneer 1000, 5 seater UTV. It was in great condition and exactly what we needed. We used it for 2 days while in the Jackson/Gros Ventre area. It was our grocery getter since we were driving a 30 RV and needed transportation in and around Jackson, as well as taking us into the backcountry for camping and fly fishing around the Goosewing area; it was comfortable and capable for the terrain we traveled.I am incredibly impressed with Jackson Hole Backcountry, and highly recommend their services!
