We had a party of 4 on the Yellowstone Old Faithful, waterfalls, and wildlife tour. It was wonderful. Faith, our guide, was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, had good stories, and could spot wildlife that we couldn’t see until she set the scope on it. She went above and beyond to try to spot us a Bear, but no luck. We saw all other wildlife, though. We enjoyed all of our stops in Yellowstone. We saw everything we wanted to see without the worry of finding parking at every attraction. Taking this tour was the best way to see Yellowstone. We had a great time with a great guide!

We took the sunset tour with Faith and we had an awesome time. They have new vans that were clean and comfortable. Faith had a scope that allowed us to get pictures with our phones. She shared the photos she got from her phone with us via air drop. We saw Osprey, Bears including cinnamon and her blonde cub and 399 and her 4 cubs, a fox, bison, pronged antelope, a moose, and elk. We got great pictures of the Tetons too.

We just returned from a week long trip to the Yellowstone area and our tour with BrushBuck was a highlight of the vacation. We had a group of 14 (6 adults/8 teenagers) and 2 guides, Kelsey & Kyle for our full day wildlife tour of Yellowstone. Because we were staying in Island Park, ID, we arranged to meet our guides in the West Thumb Geyser Basin parking lot. They provided very detailed directions ahead of time and were there when we arrived about 15 minutes early. We were enthusiastically greeted and divided into 2 groups traveling in separate vehicles. The guides immediately recapped their understanding of what we booked, what was important to us, and what the day would look like based on that. While you cant caravan through Yellowstone, the guides made sure we were never separated when we arrived at various locations.Throughout the day we made stops at various sites including Lake Yellowstone, Hayden Valley, Upper falls, Lower Falls, the Grand Canyon from Artist Point, and a great picnic area for a fantastic lunch. The guides made stops at areas known to them to have the best viewing opportunities. They will take you on various trails to ensure you see things others wont know about from just the road.We were able to see elk, osprey, tons of bison (including a large herd off of a trail). However, the highlight was watching a wolfpack in action in the Hayden Valley. Using binoculars and the guides scopes, we watched for nearly 20 minutes as the pack worked their way upstream, splashing in the river as they moved along. One of our guides had an attachment for their phone that recorded the whole thing in 4K which was shared with all of us.As for the guides, Kelsey and Kyle each bring diverse knowledge of the park, its history, the animals that call it home, and the Natives who inhabited it long before we arrived. They are genuinely awesome people who care deeply about what they do and ensure you have a great experience. We left feeling like we spent a day with old friends who we all hope to see again.

This was most definitely the highlight of our trip. Our guide was Austin, he was so knowledgeable, friendly and can easily modify what you get to try and see based on your preferences. In conversation he discovered I enjoy bird watching and headed straight to LaHardy Falls were I saw Harlequin Ducks and an hour later two Bald Eagles! This tour company has many vehicles and they all keep in touch with one another. Early in the day we had the chance to see the famed grizzly bear, 399, and the only vehicles there were BrushBuck as they had all texted each other. These guides want you to see the wildlife as much, if not more so, than you do! Highly encourage asking questions, they know it all about ecosystems, key species and more. Cannot recommend them enough.

We saw elk, bears, and even a wolf! I would have never been able to see this wildlife had I been going on my own. Jess was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. So glad we did this wildlife tour!! It’s our first visit to the Tetons and we wanted to make sure we saw some wildlife while we were here. Kyle did not disappoint!!! Within the first 30 minutes of our full day tour he’d spotted a moose. We also saw elk, blue heron, pronghorn, white tailed deer, and bison. The highlight of our day was when he got us up close and personal during a bison traffic jam. They were right outside of our windows!!We also visited some well known spots in the park (Jenny Lake, Signal Mountain, and the Mormon homestead) and learned a ton of interesting history along the way. Kyle took us for our picnic lunch at the marina at Jackson Lake. It was perfect. We highly recommend BrushBuck Wildlife Tours. And be sure to request Kyle. He is entertaining and knowledgeable and really made the day special. My two teenagers are still talking about him and quoting him.

By far the best part of our vacation in Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. We had Neil as our tour guide at Grand Teton National Park. He was by far the most knowledgeable person that we had ever met along our way. Although it was partially luck, we saw three black bears one of which had two cubs, two moose, multiple herds of bison, herds of elk and herds of pronghorn. I highly suggest to ask for Neil when you go on a guided tour of Grand Teton national Park. He was the best! He knew everything about the wildlife and geology of the area and was very happy to be working there. He answered any question anyone had and he was very excited about his job and the wildlife that we saw. He even went so far as to take zoomed in photographs with a special lens on his camera and at the end of the tour allowed us to download the photos to our phones. We were so happy with him we gave him a large tip at the end of the tour. I highly recommend this company for a tour of Grand Teton National Park.

We visited Grand Tetons and Yellowstone the week of 28-Sep-2020. We were fortunate enough to have as our tour guide, Kelsey ( hope thats the correct spelling). Can I tell you, what an amazing tour guide and all around amazing person. Kelsey has a degree in biology which she uses to provide as much or as little information as the parties request. She is personable, fun and make driving around in a vehicle for the better part of a full day, enjoyable and educational. She was flexible and encouraging. She was also patient with others we encountered who of course stood in ear shot to hear all this great information about the site we were viewing. I just loved her and wanted to befriend her for life. If you have the opportunity to use BrushBuck and have the pleasure of having a tour guide like Kelsey, you are in for a treat. Thanks to BB. We drove 10 hours to get to Jackson Wyoming for this tour. We had a great tour guide who knew what to look for to find wildlife. We had lunch at a local restaurant, which was very good. My only complaint would be the price. My husband planed this trip for my 50th birthday. Each ticket was $229 per person, and then they said it was expected to tip your driver at least 10% of your ticket price. We did another $50 for the tip. We did have a great time, but next time we will do our own tour and save quite a bit of money

Buyer Beware! BrushBuck will NOT refund your money for any cancelation of any reservation, and BrushBuck will KEEP 100% OF YOUR MONEY if you cancel more than 48 hours from the time you MAKE your reservation, REGARDLESS of how far IN ADVANCE of the tour date you cancel it!The BrushBuck website verbiage about their cancelation policy is VERY MISLEADING!Their DAY Trips Cancelation Policy says 50% of the total price of the tour will be withheld outside of 48 hours; within 48 hours, the total price of the tour (100%) will be charged..Ren Beus of BrushBuck wrote to us that this is clearly stated. What do you think? We reserved a Day Trip with BrushBuck after having already booked our flight and hotel reservations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and over a month prior to the tour date. Then I spent a day or so trying to get a rental car, but NO RENTAL CARS were available within 150 miles of Yellowstone. So 54 hours after making our reservation, we attempted to cancel our reservation. The airline, a hotel, and a rental home all allowed us to cancel our reservations with them. But BrushBuck adamantly REFUSED to refund our reservation cost, even though it was still over a month prior to the tour date and most every alternative was completely booked up (no doubt they filled our spot within days of our cancelation).Shame on this business for having such an inflexible policy. Especially coming out of a global pandemic, when they have more right-now business than they have probably ever had before.I call it Greed. Definitely inflexible, and poor Customer Service.

Days prior to the trip (which I did in late August on a Monday), I was contacted by Brushbuck Wildlife Tours to confirm details which was great initiative on their part, making me feel less worried about whether or not theyd turn up to pick my up from my hotel.I was sent a text message to be ready by 5:30 am at my Jackson hotel and McKenna was there outside my hotel to greet me with a smile at 5:25 am. She also greeted me using a nice warm beverage ;). We continued to pick up the rest of the tourists and it ended up being a intimate 5 person tour (including McKenna). Given that the weather was a rainy day, that did not stop us from having a great time and making the most of what was on offer. We managed to see moose, elk, funny and awkward bison, a bald eagle, and in all occasions, McKenna was there to point them out, set up binoculars and try and get us a decent yet safe view of the animals. We were treated to many scenic and beautiful views including the Old Faithful geyser, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Grand Prismatic Springs. Snacks were available throughout the trip (chips, bananas, water) and lunch was provided which included a hearty sandwich and fruit.I want to thank Mckenna our guide, she was down to earth, great to have a chin wag with to talk about anything (honestly). I would recommend her without hesitation. I also want to thank the people I met on the tour, because we shouldnt forget that its those that we travel with that sets the tone of the day and your memories of the trip. Please, when going on trips, do not expect to see all the animals you want. Remember they are wild and dont appear according to a schedule. Appreciate the time and effort your guide puts in, in trying to make your time worthwhile (12 hours of conversation/driving/finding animals/trying to answer questions is hard). Work with your guide, communicate with them, and tell them what you want to see or do early. It will help them plan and make yours and your guides day, that much better.Thank you Brushbuck, Mckenna, for making a suspect day weather wise, one that I will be able to remember for a lifetime.Chris (aka doorman)

I’ve travelled a bit and used tour companies. I have never experienced such a “well thought out” tour executed perfectly by a true professional. Thank you Clint for making this vacation so enjoyable. There are moments, like the wolf howling then looking through my soul via your scope, or the Tetons over the bison 10 feet away from the truck, or the fun hikes that always delivered something extraordinary, or the 4 bighorn sheep crashing horns and running up and down the hillside just yards away, or the little fox just hanging out at the rest stop. Lastly, 6 grizzly bears and 12 wolves sharing 2 carcasses. Yep, that happened.

ATTENTION: Senior Adults!! My wife and I booked the 4 day/3 night wildlife tour based on the testimony of friends who took the tour last year and on reviews of others. Brushbuck stated to us that they were assigning no more than 6 people to each vehicle to ensure social distancing. The testimony of our friends and pictures of the vehicles on line are “people movers” (Sprinters) that have height extension to avoid stooping over plus additional space allocated for luggage and have steps and handles for handicap assistance to enter the vehicle with an isle with 2 seats on each side. We expected this type of equipment. However, Brushbuck assigned our group (6 adults ages 62 to 72, bad knees, bad backs,, two men whose height are 6ft 3 inches and 6ft 7 inches to ride in a 11 passenger Van that had 3 bench seats plus the driver seat and a front passenger seat. To enter or to disembark the van, a collapsible step was placed on the ground to allow the ladies access to the next step to climb up and/or down the steps each time you start and stop the venture to see wildlife. Also, a seatbelt hanging from the ceiling of the van had to be held back so not to catch people by the neck as they entered seats 3 & 4. The person in the back seat (seat 4) had to share the seat with the luggage. The seats are covered in fabric which prevents one from sliding a cross the seat for the next person to enter. These people had to lift themselves while stooping & pushing against the seat which actually created blisters on my wife’s elbow that she used to help in her movement across the seat. The other groups that went out on that same tour during the same time had the Sprinter type equipment. We were all charged the same price, but obviously our group did not have same experience that the others had. Brushbuck’s response to our complaint is “we do not promise what kind of transportation our guests will be provided.”The itinerary is a good one, our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant and really cared for his group. When he was asked by the group why we got the bad van, he stated “that is what I was assigned.” The price of the tour should include the best, safest, and easiest vehicle to accommodate customers. It was overpriced for what we got.Mike Johnson, OKLAHOMA

We had no trouble canceling reservations and getting full refunds everywhere, except at BrushBuck. The only thing they offer is a standard 50% refund or a 2 year voucher (not feasible for us). This was the best tour and value we have ever experienced. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. Saw bears, elks, bison, prong horn and coyotes. His knowledge of the animals of the area and history of the park was the best part of the tour. Highly recommend this company/Guide.

The four day tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks was a dream come true. Our guide, Kevin, was extremely patient with all the questions being asked by the seven people in our group. His knowledge of the history, country, and cultures was very broad and he was happy to share his experiences. Our accommodations were great as was the variety of food. The weather and animals cooperated to provide beautiful vistas and exciting photo opportunities. Thank you Brushbuck for wonderful memories

In December, 2019 I booked the Brushbuck tour of Yellowstone National Park for August 2020 for myself, my wife and our 11 year old grandson. He is very active, but is a type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic. I was familiar with the cancellation policy (50% refund if cancelled >60 days prior to the trip) but was not very concerned (I am a doctor, familiar with Alexs health needs). Then Covid 19 hit. Aside from the fact that our flight was cancelled, the pediatric endocrinologist told us Alex could not go since he is immunocompromised, and could not be on an airplane, or in a closed van with 10 other people. I called Brushbuck and explained the situation, and the only option offered other than the 50% refund was a 2 year credit. I told them that I would take the credit for myself and my wife, but because of the health risk to Alex, even by next year, we should get a refund for him. Not only would they not agree to this, they wouldnt even allow the 50% refund for just him. All the non-tour hotels and side trips that we booked for both before and after the tour gave us refunds without question. That this company would not make an accommodation under these extraordinary circumstances, and expect us to place our grandson at risk is, in my opinion, disgraceful. I cancelled the entire trip, and Brushbuck pocketed $2173.50 for nothing. Be careful if you book a tour with them. Its all about the money.Bruce Gingold, MD

The tour guide Sammie was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and did a great job of finding amazing places that were away from the crowds. She also kept us from getting bored on the long drives. I would recommend her and the company. The place we stayed was not fancy, but it was clean and convenient and the town of Cooke City was a worthy experience.

My name is Kathy Brookshire. We booked a tour with BrushBuck Wildlife Tours last December 2019. We were required to pay the full amount for the tour. Due to the Covid pandemic we had to cancel the trip to Yellowstone. We were very sad to cancel but the United States of America was suffering from this pandemic! My husband and I are elderly. We fall into the high risk category. My husband also suffers from diabetics, high blood pressure, and had a heart cath recently. We were taking our children and grandchildren on our vacation of a lifetime.Everyone that we booked with completely refunded our money. Yellowstone had not even completely reopened the entire park the day our vacation was going to start.BrushBuck Tours made NO special allowance for refunds due to the pandemic. They will only give half our money back or reschedule the trip for up to two years. That is exactly what they will do on any cancellation under normal circumstances. They should be ashamed. There is no way due to health conditions that we can reschedule this trip. My daughter in law explained all this to them. She cried telling me that they didn’t care!I was the Vice President of our College in our community before I retired. Believe me, I know how to do business. This company is greedy. I would never recommend booking with them. Covid 19 was a real bad thing. This company did NOT come together during this hard time.We are taking the option of half of our money back. We would have understood if they had kept a deposit fee. They kept half of our money! It is my genuine, heartfelt opinion to NEVER book a trip with these people. They took advantage of an elderly couple.Thank you.Kathy BrookshireI just read your response to my review.I stated the truth. We paid the full amount for the tour up front. We cancelled due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Our options were 1/2 of our money backOr to reschedule the trip within 2 years. That IS your policy for a normal cancellation under normal circumstances. My point was you made no special allowance for the Pandemic. If you had told me that you were keeping a fee of $200 (or something in that range) we would have understood.Every other business that we booked with refunded our money with no reservation.I have absolutely NOTHING to be ashamed for writing the truthful review.I stand by my opinion that I would never book another tour with you.Kathy Brookshire

We booked a 12 hour day tour through Yellowstone National Park. I can honestly say this was one of our best day tours we have ever experienced. Our guide, Neil, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, even our kids age 10/13 year olds never even picked up their phones to check their WiFi signal!! Neil manages to keep children and adults entertained with stories and vast knowledge about animals and nature .. we have traveled all over the world and I highly recommend this experience!

Went on a lower loop tour with Bobby a few weeks ago. What a GREAT tour!!! Not only were we able to see the natural beauties (Old faithful, Yellowstone Grand Canyon, mudpots, Tetons, etc.), we are able to see more wildlife than we ever thought. During our tour we saw: Osprey, 5 moose (3 from VERY close range as they crossed the road right next to our van), a herd of elk (from a distance), whitetail deer, several mule deer, a grizzly bear (from a distance), a black bear and (many many) bison. Lunch was also very good. Van was clean. The others on the tour were friendly. All in all a GREAT day. I would recommend this tour and Brushbuck to anyone who is going to Yellowstone for the first time.

This was amazing!!!! Our Guide Mike made the trip so unbelievably enjoyable for my Mother and I. He knew everything about everything...there was not a question asked that he could not respond with a very detailed and knowledgeable answer. He had the patients of a Saint. He spotted things that I would have never seen, pulled out his scope and gave all of us plenty of time to be amazed by the sightings. We had the opportunity to watch a Grizzly Bear feeding, a wolf pack, coyotes, goats on the side of the mountain, young Osprey eating in their nest, too many Bison and Elk to count, Mule Deer drinking from the creek.... We were very close to a lot of these sightings. Its amazing how Mother Nature allows these animals to blend in with their surroundings....We would have missed the majority of them.. My Mother is 83, Mike treated her with such loving kindness, she was in great hands with Mike. I was afraid it would be too much for her. Most definitely would have been if we had been on our own! I highly recommend going on a guided tour with BrushBuck, if you can get Mike get him, Mike made us feel like family! We went on the four day tour, Worth every penny. The places we stayed were not fancy, but very clean and the food was great! It was amazing to stay in the middle of Yellow Stone, Cooke City MT was a really cool town, beautiful scenery. It even snowed while we were there 9/5/2016... It was my Birthday! Mike was thoughtful enough to get me a Birthday cake!(Pumpkin Bread) from the restaurant we had breakfast at.Cant say enough about the amazing adventure we had!!!! Thanks Mike!!!

My husband and I booked the Old Faithful and Lower Loop tour with Brush Buck, and are beyond satisfied with our experience. After the tour, we both said to each other, “If we had to leave tonight, we would have felt so fulfilled with our experience already!” The biggest reason for our 5 Star Review is due to our tour guide Haley.Haley was so knowledgable about Yellowstone National Park, my husband and I got a mini education throughout our guided tour. She had a way of sharing the information that was natural and easy to digest. She never once came across as “pompous.” We would ask questions that she could easily answer and together the three of us discussed much of what we learned/saw.The tour is long, but what people may not realize is that Yellowstone National Park is SO big, that is takes time to travel to each sight. Each of the places we stopped at would be accessible for anyone, including those who would prefer not to walk as much. It was certainly worth every penny we paid, and we were happy to tip Haley for her time. This tour with Brush Buck will be something we talk about for years to come, and share with our friends and family as a “must do” in Yellowstone.Thank you Haley - we appreciate everything!Additional Note: I worked with a woman named Amber in the Brush Buck office. She was so helpful in making sure my husband and I booked a hotel in an area that worked well with their tours.

Excellent, 10 out 10 rating for the Grand Teton Dawn Public tour (wildlife, sightseeing tour). My family took this tour last week and we were completely satisfied and impressed by the abundance, variety and proximity of the animals we encountered. Our guide, named Jaclyn, was incredibly knowledgeable about the various animals we encountered, and had VERY interesting anecdotes about each animal we discovered that kept all on the open style jeep interested to learn . She was enthusiastic, intelligent, and made the tour a fun, interesting experience. We even tasked her with spotting two somewhat difficult animals to find once the tour started (a moose and a bear), and she came through and showed us 4 mouse and one black bear. Thats besides all the outer numerous wildlife she found. Hats off to Brushback Wildlife Tours and guide Jaclyn.John
