This review is long overdue5 star experience #1When I had my windows tinted and my sub installed here there was a miscommunication in the pricing and what I thought was the total cost was actually just for the window tint. Due to the misunderstanding they didnt charge me in full. Even though I tried to pay more, they wouldnt allow it. 5 star #1.5 star experience #2A knob that controls the volume of the subwoofer was to be placed in a discrete location under the dash, but instead was installed by drilling a hole in an interior plastic panel, which I was not enthusiastic about but I didnt want to push the issue since they had just been so generous. I left, but the knob was placed in such a way that it rubbed against my thigh as I drove and it was driving me crazy. I returned and informed them that I was unhappy with the placement, it made driving the car uncomfortable, and I wasnt happy with the hole being drilled in the panel. They not only rerouted the knob but they ordered a new panel and replaced it entirely.These guys obviously care about their business and their customers. 2 years later, the tint looks flawless and I have zero issues with the sub connection. Ive had windows tinted and speakers installed in a few cars. I have never received the quality of service as Houston Car Stereo delivered from any other place Ive gone. They made a customer for life. Let me tell you, I am a perfectionist to begin with and I’ve always had a hard time finding a service that matches my expectations. Muhammad and his crew did a phenomenal job with my full system install. Everything was ran super clean and the guys did a great job with the custom box with the small area they were given. The professionalism and willingness to work with my budget is next level, in my opinion they deserve 6 stars. I highly doubt there is another shop in the Houston area that can beat the way this man handles business. I will be returning here for all future installs.

I’ve needed to write this review for some time but I very seldom write reviews so I put it off.This started with an oil change. I didnt know but the mechanic didn’t shut the hood on my car correctly and when I left the hood popped open and ruined a sensor that operates the Viper car alarm. Houston Car Stereo originally installed the Viper system and my car stereo so I called Mohamed at Houston Car Stereo and made an appointment. I got there in the morning and met Mohamed. He said it would take about an hour. I ask for a breakfast restaurant nearby and he recommended one that was more than walking distant so he loaned me his car to get there. Very nice of him to do so. When I got back he said he took care of the problem wasn’t a big deal and No Charge. This was service above and beyond. I honestly haven’t had this nice and helpful service before. I can only give five stars to Houston Stereo and Mohamed but they deserve more. The least I could do is write this review. Try them out they’re worth it.

Super late review, but this family business provided the best customer service Ive experienced when dealing with cars. I was nervous about replacing my speakers which had been blown out and was concerned that I would be overcharged and oversold. This team did a diagnostic on the speakers, set up an appointment for me and I was in an out in a few hours. Pricing was incredibly reasonable. Months later, my speakers are performing beautifully. Cant thank them enough. They definitely know their stuff.

Houston Car Stereo is incredible! It is run by a very kind, professional family. They saw me same day last Saturday for a dash cam install, charged a very fair price, and did a great job. They even made sure I downloaded the app for my dashcam and knew how to use it before leaving the premises. Above and beyond customer service that is so rare these days. Houston Car Stereo was such a blessing to do business with! Mohamed took excellent care of me and my car. He and his team were so friendly and knowledgeable. My car has NEVER sounded as good as it does now. Ive been enjoying playing with all of the new features, including my new Bluetooth option.I mentioned, in passing, that my old 2006 Mazda3 was going to be passed down to my 4 year old when he is old enough to drive, and that I was going to treat it as a passion project until then. When the installation of my entire sound system renovation was complete (which was really fast considering the extent of work done), I was surprised to find that Mohamed had added a bass control dial to throttle the bass level for when my 4 year old is in the backseat!Houston Car Stereo installed an amazing sounding system while keeping the truck space in my hatchback available, which is very important to me. What is really impressive is that I saved close to $1,000 on the entire deal! I was told Id had to pay twice as much at two other car stereo places, and this was not including the lifetime warranty AND the sub woofer that Houston Car Stereo were able to provide.I will definitely tell everyone I know about how well I was treated at Houston Car Stereo. Originally I was going to come in for a diagnostic, but after explaining my situation to Muhammad, he recommended I just replace a certain part and did not charge me a dime (It also helped that they did not carry the part I needed anyway). Regardless he could have easily of taken my money for the diagnostic but did not. THE PEOPLE HERE WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF! Went to talk to a guy ( installer) about getting some work done ...dude was very professional about everything, told me to come see him and we talk prices... so 30 min later, I pull up and told the older guy who I was and he was like no we don’t do thatYou purchased that alarm from someone elseWhy would I give you service, and you didn’t buy from me. Wow, Houston Car Stereo hooked me up! I got all my speakers replaced with an amp & sub addition and couldn’t be happier. All brand new stuff that sounds like night and day compared to the old stock speakers in my Camry. If you are looking for audio upgrades, head down to this store and ask for Muhammad. I just recently purchased a used Toyota Camry and wasnt happy with the outdated radio, so I came to stop by to this stereo shop to update a new one with Bluetooth features to listen my music from a phone device. My AMP went bad while driving in from Florida. Called the shop and he had me come right in. The Tech. showed me that the AMP was bad and answered all my questions. I was allowed to observe the install of a new marine (waterproof)AMP above the water line of the jeep. Saw the test, install and tuning. Sounds great with the rest of the system. One of the cleanest shops I have seen. Price was fare for the work, the entire process took about 40min. Attached a pic is of the bay my rig was in.

I contacted Houston Car Stereo on Yelp, and they were very fast & clear with their responses. I ended up having them install carplay & a backup camera into my Audi. They did an excellent job with the install & the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

The folks at Houston Car Stereo are caring and instructional. When I have issues on my DIY projects, I can hop over to them for some guidance or the right parts at a very fair price. Most recently, I needed a 3.5mm adapter for my steering wheel controls. The part I needed is not usually sold separately, but Mohamed A. brought out the piece I needed and urged me to just take it. I appreciated it a lot!

I went to this place because they were the highest rating near me and I couldnt be happier with my decision. Very knowledgeable staff, give phenomenal deals and their techs are the best in the business (see pics).I went for an all SQ set up this time and Ive never heard better. Anytime i go to show a friend/family what this new system can do it ends up turning into an hour or more long jam session. I went to get my all of my speakers replaced in my truck and I have to say, the staff at Houston Car Stereo did a fantastic job. My Alpine speakers sound great and the cost was less than what I was anticipating. They also fixed my (VERY old) amp and subwoofer as it was producing a weird buzzing sound, instead of trying to sell me a new one free of charge. When those finally give out, Ill be going back to Houston Car Stereo for sure!

Houston car stereo did a great job installing apple car play in my 2011 Lexus RX. it works as advertised, the new usb connection at the base of my dashboard and the microphone near the top of the windshield were installed very professionally. absolutely top notch job.

They dont know what there doing. Couldnt even tell me if there was power to my dash cam.

Mo, Hector and the installation team at Houston Car Stereo did a bang-up job in designing, installing & tuning a sound system for my 144 high top Sprinter van. They were very transparent & candid throughout the process. The prices were fair, the work was high quality and most importantly the system sounds awesome - it definitely rocks! I’m very pleased.The main system components were:- JL Audio VX1000/5i 600w Amp;- Hertz MLK 165.3 front speakers;- Hertz 165.3 Pro 6.5” in rear doors;- JL Audio Co107LG-W3v3 Sub Woofer.A friend who hadnt planned on upgrading his system heard mine and put a call in to Mo within a week. The system in his van sounds great as well. Mo is my go to connection for all car audio needs! Note that they also do alarms, radar/laser detectors & lighting.

Stopped by for the first time today, only needed a piece of speaker wire 10 long. This place is nice, clean and well organized. Right when I walked in, Mohamed greeted me asking me what I needed. Told him I need a piece of speaker wire, and not a whole roll. First of all, these guys sell the top of the line stuff, JL, Sundown, Focal, etc. Even their speaker wire is JL!! Instead of making me buy a whole roll of the JL speaker wire, Mohamed told me to follow him as he led me into the back (where they do the installs) to a box of cut pieces. Not used, but cut only! Mohamed handed me exactly what I went for, along with a few wood screws. I tried to pay the man and he refused. Houston Car Stereo has made a new customer in me today. I live in Conroe and will gladly make the drive, thanks to Mohameds act of kindness, I will tell everyone I know to get what they need at Houston Car Stereo! Thank you again, Mr Mohamed!!

They were extremely professional, friendly, and thorough. The price was fair and the work was done quickly. The customer service was incredible. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again, and to trust them on a great install for any level of vehicle.

This company pays for fake reviews. We dealt with Mohammad who was very unprofessional. He told us something else on phone, then we got to the shop he increased the price and after seeing my car(GTR) he increased the price again.

I went to get my original car radio re-installed and back up camera for my Audi Q5. I bought an aftermarket one and they told me it would not be good. I should have listened. Anywho, OMG!!!! They installed my original car radio, added an HD Back-Up camera and the wireless Apple and Android Car play. Granted I am an apple user but it comes with the Android thing as well. They installed it successful and works perfectly. These guys are the greatest, nicest, and most professional guys in the world. If you have an AUDI, I highly recommend taking your car here for any audio installations. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Price was great and the Service. By far the best work ever done on my car since I have been in Houston.

I don’t normally write reviews, but felt like these guys deserve it. Two years ago after researching and reading reviews I made a trip to their business and they installed a stereo system in my vehicle. I live two hrs away and they insisted I take one of their vehicles until my car was ready. About a month after receiving the vehicle, which sounded incredible, the amp went out. They immediately sent someone to my house, 2 hrs away, to replace the faulty amp. Two years later I am trading in the vehicle so I call them again to see what I should remove. I went later that week they took out the equipment and an hour and a half later I was on my way without a single charge. I can’t say enough good things about this family run business. These guys are amazing and totally trustworthy! I will never go anywhere else for my car stereo needs!

When I saw 5 stars and so many reviews (rare for google reviews to be so high) I quickly texted my friend who confirmed this was the place to go. My radio went out and I wasnt sure what was wrong. Mohamed looked over my car right away and we scheduled an appointment the very next day! I arrived and the team went to work on the car immediately. The waiting area is super comfy with beverages and awesome space. - Just a few minutes after Mohamed said it was a simple fix and not to worry. Also, he did not want any payment! Wow. I didnt even get my car audio worked on here but i just might stop by. I called them to get a quote to compare with a current 4 speaker, amp and subwoofer install and the man on the phone was so honest and respectful that he told me i was getting a fair price for the money and install at the current shop. New sound system installed quickly and for a fair price. Sounds great! Interior door handle got broken during the install. Not only did they fix that handle but also the other interior door handles (common for these handles to crack on Jeeps) and split cost with me (so essentially they paid to fix two of my door handles even though only 1 was damaged during install). Will definitely return to them for car audio projects in the future.

Great family owned business! I purchased a dash camera here and had it installed within an hour. I was pretty clueless on the options available and Rami was super helpful on answering my questions. I’ve been planning to install the car stereo myself with the main objective to avoid dealing with a shop and the endless excuses / price surprises / etc.Decided to get help after 6 months looking at random parts accumulating dust in the garage.Visited a couple shops and wasn’t impressed with the attitude.Arrived at Houston Car Stereo near closing time and the first surprise is that was greeted with a smile. Mr Mohamed treated me as a friend.We had a great technical discussion on needs and wants.Setup was installed as agreed, sooner than expected, with no surprises and always a big smile.Price was totally fair.End result was a work much better than I would do, faster and - believe it or not - cheaper.The only downside is that I’ll be back with another car to “upgrade” that wasn’t even in the plans!Glad to know shops with that attitude can stay in business!

I spent hours researching the right place to take my wifes Jeep to have a stereo and front/back-up camera put into. Horrible customer service, I called before I went and was told to come in early on a certain day when I show up the guy tells me I need to leave my car there for two days (why didn’t you say that when I called!!) the old guy thinks highly of himself and was like I’m to busy I don’t have time. You should of said that in the first place before wasting my time coming all the way from Missouri city, took my car close by and was taken care of with excellent customer service never will I refer anyone to this place! You get what you pay for and this place is one of them.

I got a Sony double din radio, JL Audio amp, and 2 JL Audio 12’s installed in my car very professional service. The sound quality i have in my vehicle is amazing. They matched the price and even went lower then online competitor if your looking for a system this the spot 🔥

I wish I could give 100 stars! I absolutely love everyone in the shop and Im so thankful for them! Everyone was so nice and helpful they never pushed me to do anything like other places, I also felt very welcomed!! I brought my 04 BMW in for a navigation screen and backup camera and they did an absolutely AMAZING job! I am more in love with my car now after their work! I will definitely be coming back!!
