Ronnie does great work at a fair price. He repaired all the speakers in my 1954 Seeburg jukebox and it sounds like new again.

Ronnie reconed 2 of my favorite subwoofers that I thought were trash - hard to find brands too, one is out of business. The one I have listened to so far sounds AWESOME, at least as good as original. With parts so scarce (thanks Covid lockdowns), I had to help source a cone for one but Ronnie did all the work, was straight forward, easy to work with, fair on pricing, and expert in his knowledge. Old fashioned service and craftsmanship doesnt get any better than this!! Customer for life and will refer my friends!

He reconed my JBL L112s years back. Wish he had used the origonal white cones but the black ones are ok.

Ronnie knows his speakers! He’s fast and priced reasonably. My husband and I took our large Norman speakers in late Tuesday afternoon, and they were both reconed and ready by Friday morning. These speakers are over forty years old. Ronnie has them sounding like new!

Had a center channel mid range go out and the manufacturer wanted to charge $400 to replace it ( it also includes tweeter section, but the design incorporates both ). Took out speaker section from the box and brought to Allen, where he said he’d take a shot at fixing it. Took 2 weeks to get it back, but he rebuilt the midrange and I didn’t have to spend 400 on a new midrange / tweeter section. He’s pretty busy so it may take a while, but he knows what he’s doing and very fair in pricing.

I dropped out of the audio scene over 15 years ago. Before that however, I used Allens exclusively and quite often. His work is first-rate. Now, needing some work done on an old set of JBLs, imagine my elation to see they are still in business! The gods are smiling upon me.

Owning a sound and lighting production company we have our share of things that happen to equipment from all the road use. Ive been using this place for 15 years. Ronnie knows his business and is reasonable on the rates. Always had first class repairs done here.

I have had several speakers repaired here. This shop is quick and really good pricing. Have not had a single failure on the repairs yet.

The shop says they do more car sub-woofer/amp stuff, but I brought in a small home audio system that lost power to see if it could be fixed. They took it apart, re-soldered the connections and replaced the fuse for no charge. It was nice that they looked at the problem first before charging me, because the small work they did was not able to fix the problem. To actually fix it, they informed me, would probably cost more than the system was worth (unfortunately). Great shop and experience all around!

Ive been using Allen since the late 60S when they were located off Washington Av. Bought my first Bass rig from them. A Bogen 50 watt amp and an Allen speaker box with 2 15 inch JBLs. I have used them for the past 50 years...never a problem.

I feel bad for everyone posting positive reviews. Either theyre all fake and written by the owner himself or Rony really has people THAT fooled. This guy is a con artist. Just another snake hole sales guy trying to make a quick buck. I KNOW sound and I found his shop thinking hed have the parts I needed to repair a few speakers. When I called he told me he had the original brand name parts that I was trying to buy. I drove cross town only to find out what he was selling was no name generic china knock offs at a higher price than what I could buy them for at Guitar Center or Evans . First red flag was he asked me before he showed me the part, Do you know what its suppose to look like?. What kind of question is that? He finally showed me and it was in weird packaging and I confirmed it was definitely a knock off. I politely told him that this wasnt the original part that he told me over the phone and that what he had were generic parts. He then got very hostile and defensive and proceeded to tell me I can go somewhere else. This guy has no notion for customer service. I heard him talking to 2 other customers like they were trash too. PLEASE STAY AWAY AND DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY. There are PLENTY of more reputable speaker repair shops in Houston that arent trying to rip you off by putting generic parts in your speakers.

Ive been going here for over 10 years for myself, family, and friends. The place is a hole in the wall, but the work is always done well. Dont expect quick turn arounds and have cash.
