My new favorite nail salon. The man that greets you is very kind and nice and he listens. My nail technician did a great job and she did not rush and she listen to everything I needed. She took care of me and she matched my toe nail shellac to my nail powder in a very thoughtful and beautiful way. I came in with a lot of problems and my nail technician fixed everything in a calm way and made me feel beautiful. Thank you Gulfgate Nail Spa.

I asked for a simple full set, short white nails. The lady kept pushing and pushing for either glitter or some type of design. I understand they want me to spend more, but stop asking. I asked if the powder color was the only white they had because I could see my nail color through most of the nails. She then grabbed my hands and started putting shellac over them. My whole nails are not even coated. I didn’t say anything, when she was done I was just disappointed. This place might be great but my nails are not.

I have been going to Gulfgate Nail Spa for many years. The main thing I love about this shop is, even though they are always busy and full, I have NEVER had to wait for a chair, NOT ONCE. I dont make appointments because I just like to go whenever I feel like going and I always go straight to a chair. Thats very convenient for me and my schedule. Also, no matter who does my nails, they always come out pretty. Sometimes they do try to change the price on me a few dollars but I show them what I paid previously and they honor. Theres no fuss, no disrespect, no hassle. Im in and out, Im happy, and its not much of a drive. Im moving further away, but I still may come here for my nails.. Im still thinking on that. Plus, its in a shopping strip.. I dont shop there, but Im sure thats convenient for most people.

Bebe is very good nail technician. This’s my third time with her. She is patient with your nail, and she could do any design.. just show her picture and it’s done. Highly come back to see her again.

This is now my second time going there and its still amazing but the only problem is the keep pushing the fact that they want you to spend more and more money and basically get everything done.

Nails were terrible! Service was horrible. They let a pedicure lady try to do nails and she messed them up. Acrylic was all over my hands. Would NOT recommend!! Then they changed the price at the last min. Worst nail experience OF MY LIFE!!!!

They kept pressuring me into getting something expensive. I had clearly told them what service I wanted. They also let my nails all uneven and rushed it all. quality is not good.

Have been going here for 6 years. The last few months they keep trying to get me to buy a higher cost pedicure. Today the lady who did my feet did not clean under the nails, did not use the” cheese grater” on my feet and I felt so rushed. I will not be back. Ive been having some nail fun this month! Chloe is my nail tech and shes done a great job so far. Ive had 2 sets and have had great compliments and a few faces. This full service salon is clean, pleasant and the owner couldnt be nicer! Very relaxing and friendly service with a fabulous massage that made my day. Would definitely recommend them 👍👍

I hardly ever do my nails so I dont know any of the lingo. Lan answered some of my questions and did a beautiful job! Turns out I wanted fake nails, with powder (252), in an almond shape, with a matte finish. I took a Kiss nail from CVS that I liked to show what length and shape since I had no idea how to ask for it. It was $43 for the set and tipped $10. Thank you Lan!

Ummm not great. I thought I’d give this place a try because it’s close to my house. I needed my dip nails removed and just a basic manicure with regular polish. The removal was fine, the technician just kept dusting everything on the floor though which I thought was kind of gross. Then I asked for short round nails. I got medium very square. At this point I was feeling like maybe I should just say never mind about the polish but I didn’t. She did the polish and it was not great. Not even, all over the place, my square nails were not even good square. I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture to add. I literally was like laugh/crying on my way home. I actually smudged one on the way out but was not going to ask them to fix it. I came home and immediately took of the polish, fixed the shape, and painted them myself. It was pretty cheap so I don’t feel that bad about it. I just wanted to write a review so that other people don’t have to.

There okay but I don’t how they do eyelashes they make your eyes feel so uncomfortable and after they feel off 2 days later my real eyelashes were still glued together . Since I’ve been in Houston I have found anybody who know how to do lashes

I usually come here on multiple occasions. Today, I came in to do shellac and the lady kept pushing dip. I said no like three times. I picked my shellac color but she said they didnt have it so I picked another color and she said they didnt have it because I picked old colors. So she said I could get the color I wanted in dip, so caved in. My nails ended up looking nothing like the color I wanted. But you obviously cant tell till the end until all layers are done. So when I told the manager he said it was my fault and even caught an attitude with me because he said if it wasnt the color I wanted I should have told her from the beginning. I picked a baby blue color, but the lady made them look pale blue, white even. I wont be going back.

It was my first time getting a pedicure and the lady was so understanding. I will definitely be back.

I went for a manicure and pedicure. I asked for Shellac and they put powder, which at the end, I just went with it. The guy didn’t even cut my cuticles nor did he massage my hands. I didn’t mind that too much, as they were really busy. They still charged me $35. When it was time for my pedicure, I was placed between two other customers getting pedicures. They told me one of the ladies would be with me as soon as one came available. One of the ladies finished and just left the used towel, file and what looked like a cheese grater, on the floor. She proceeded to start on my pedicure. Everything was good, until it was time to buff my feet. She started digging into the dirty towel from the previous customer to take some of the used, unsanitized tools, to use on me. I told her that I didn’t want her to use any of that stuff on me. She then put the stuff back on top of the dirty towel and took a different buffer from her box and just said “don’t worry...”.what the heck.... Did she think it’s ok to not autoclave the stuff before using it on a different customer?? Needless to say, I won’t be going back to this place.

The atmosphere was amazing.. The down fall was that after a week 4 of my nails had came off.. It was little stuff I noticed but didn’t really complain because of the good customer service.. Unfortunately I will not be returning and will stick with my usual...

Alexander did my nails. I love them 💗! He wanted to make sure I got what I asked for and took his time to make sure they looked perfect. At first I did get moved twice because they were busy. I do believe that one of the girls didnt know how to tmso the ombre glitter so they moved me from her. Im glad they did because Alexander did a great job! These nails are 4 days and going! These cost me $45 at the the front desk.They are taking temperatures at the door and all employees are wearing their masks during these times.

This honestly used to be my go to nail salon when I moved to Houston but my last experience has made me not wants to ever go back again. They were so unbelievably rude and not professional at all. The nail job was decent but the atmosphere made me shorten my services and leave in a hurry smh.

This place is AWFUL I got here around 5:30 it is now 7:05 and I still haven’t gotten my nails done. I ONLY NEEDED A MANICURE!!! I got here they had me wait and then when the lady was free she said no you need to soak your nails and she leaves me and starts on someone else!! Then my nails are all clear but she decided to start someone else’s pedicure. I’m sooooo ANNOYED!!! I’m literally sitting here waiting again. I AM NEVER EVER COMING BACK HERE!!! I’d give them 0 stars if I could

Paid $70 for a full set, couple days later a nail starts to lift. I go back to get it fixed, the manager offered to glue it at the front desk and I informed him know that I did that before and the glue just came offHe asked me to wait and pointed everyone that came after me to a technician. Mind you, they weren’t full at all. Went up to the manager and he said to wait because they don’t fix ‘one nail’ in the morning(almost noon), which makes no sense at all.They’re all nice and welcoming to take your money but DON’T HAVE THE TIME when you go to fix something they messed up to start with.

I received a manicure and pedicure from a lady who was not wearing an apron(all of the other employees wore an apron) and she had on jeans and a t-shirt and it was the worst mani/pedi Ive had in my life. She was very rough and she seemed like she was in a rush to get me up and out of the chair. I will never go back.

Yes place is good no doubt but Im kind of tired of them changing prices on me all the time. Ive noticed its not one price, its what each employee wants to charge you. How did the same nails I got last month went from 38 to 45 and was told there wasnt a price increase. I always get the same except different color. Ive paid 34, 35, 38, 40 and now 45. Not going back.

I really like the service and all but I did not like how my nails started popping off after having them done 3 days ago. Now it’s a week and all my nails are completely off. I’m so disappointed. I also think y’all should not charge for the Size of the nail that’s not fair!

I had been going for lashes, nails and pedicure and Ive noticed every time I go the price is different for the same services. So this week I went for lashes which normally is $10 the man in the front charged me $15 without warning. I questioned the price because the back area that you lay on was not clean I sat up because it was dirty sheets and then he was rude at me even asking about the concerns of the price.Ladies there are so many other cleaner reasonable places. This is not the one. Covid-19 is real

Never again will I go to this place. Not even 24 hours later and my shellac started to come of. Service was not the greatest and the technician seemed bothered that my child was with me. I also didn’t count on the place to be so crowded.

I came in because my go-to spot that’s located in the same shopping center was so packed. This place was empty when I came in, I got a pedi done and ouch! It hurt as the lady was cutting my toe nails. She hurt the side of one of my nails and today on Christmas Eve I noticed I have a little blood cloth from the cutting she did on Saturday. I new I was hurt when she cut me and told her but didn’t expect for my nail to look this way on Christmas eve☹️💔💔 what ashame! Don’t come to this place unless you want to be hurt like me! Came in for a refill. David did a great job. He was very polite and gentle with me.A couple of my nails at the bottom did not cure correctly. Luckily I was still in the area so I went back to have them fixed. It seems like maybe one of the lamps had a faulty bulb towards the bottom or I didn’t stick them in correctly which is weird. I been doing my nails my whole life and never had an issue like that. But fine whatever.My bigger issue was realizing that *someone* added a $30 tip to my card that I did not authorize. I always tip in cash for this reason so I know for a fact I didn’t “accidentally” write it in. I work for tips so I know exactly how this works.I also was not given a copy of my cc receipt and it was too crowded and crazy I forgot to make sure I got it which I’m sure is a contributing factor to me being an “easy” target. I requested that they check their cameras to see who did this fraud but they said it was probably an accident because the next customer paid $30 and it could have been a clerical error. But I don’t see how I was initially charged for $55 -pending- from my bank. Than it cleared two days later for $85 which I’m positive it was that they added it as a tip.They lost my receipt with my actual signature on it but were able to find my receipt UNAUTHORIZED for the extra $30 WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE. So I said Fine keep the 30 and refund me my 55 since somebody was trying to destroy the evidence. When that happened I was finally refunded my money cash since they didn’t really have an explanation. The manager handled it accordingly and it wasn’t his fault, understandable. But it was a huge inconvenience to have to go up there for that.Lesson learned:-always take a photo of your own receipt for your personal records. You just never know.First and last time here. Which sucks cuz my nail tech was very good

I would not recommend. The lady did a terrible job. She kept pushing for me to do add ons after I clearly asked for simple, short french tip nails; and after I would say no thank you she would mumble under her breath. She did not care to make the nail the same length. After I pointed something a thing that needed correcting she started chatting with one of her peer in their native language, she came over and looked at my nails and started laughing. EXTREMELY uncomfortable and unprofessional. I made the manager (or the guy that charges) aware showed him the length differences but he just said, 40 dollars. I paid the $40 and left extremely unsatisfied and will never return. (01/9/2021)

I love this place!! I don’t usually leave reviews, but the attention to detail and the kind and caring environment they provide left such a good impression!

I have been coming here for the past 5 years. Over the last 2 years since they renovated they have become greedy. If decide to come here before you sit down and have your services done make sure you ask how much because the man at the front will charge you extra for no reason. I have literally sat there to tell him no that is not the price I was given and Ill tell him to go back and ask them what they quoted me. He will eventually say ok. Its pretty damn ridiculous. I will looking for services somewhere else because they do no value their customers. They are only concerned with skimming more money off of you.

Their service is not bad at all, it’s the professionalism and cleanliness I’m concerned with. Last time I went for a manicure, they sat me down and I was separate from everyone else. Next thing you know, they sit another customer less than a foot away from me. Where are the coronavirus regulations? Why did I have to request for the customer to be moved and why don’t they take it as a precaution beforehand? There needs to be more precautions put into place.

Poor service ..... had an appointment for 3pm for just nails for my daughter..... it took an hour to be seen after we had an appointment scheduled for 3pm we showed up at 245 my daughter didnt start her nails till 410 and we didnt leave until 6pm totally unnecessary appointment if a walk in will take priority over appointments.... why take the appointment then? Theres too many nails salons for one to have a rude staff and poor customer service!

Ask for price before doing your nails! Their sign say $35 but at the register they charge you per color and shape! Designs on the price say $3 you will end up paying $5 per design! So if you want to get ripped off come here!

Had such a wonderful experience here. The place is clean and the people are attentive. I saw Tina and she did an excellent job in helping me select my ombre powder color. Id give it more stars but the job is so poor.. Its sad.. I had a $24 pedicure she did a good job up until it was time to scrub my feet she didnt scrub them my feet felt the same.. I had also a set done the young man that did my nails was super nice so was the lady that did my pedi. I had a nail break within a couple of hours from leaving.. I paid extra to have foil put on my nails. Well the acrylic came apart from the tip that is initially put on. $64 down the drain.. They push people out the door. Everyone was nice but ive been going there for so long that im just dissapointed.

The guy at the front was a bit a aggressive with the customers and did not listen to the women which was a huge turn off for their establishment but Zoe was so professional and had a great attention to detail. She made me consider coming back and putting up with the aggression.

Chloe is the best but I’ve had to use Vo for times she isn’t available and he is the worst. It’s like he was never trained in doing refills. It’s been 2 days and my nail has already fallen off because he does the refill lazily. This also happened the last time I got stuck with him. I travel some distance to go to this place so having to go back to fix his mistake is just time consuming. Super disappointed. Don’t use Vo if you go. Dave yourself the waist of time and money. Your nail will fall off.

I had visited before and had a pleasant experience. However, it was not this time around. I was seated right away for a pedicure, but after waiting 35 minutes without any update on the wait time, I left. I do not plan to return.

Pretty fast..to get you to get started..but sometimes you want a certain person and they tell you she is busy..Appointments can be made if you dont lose the persons number..otherwise they move you in and move you out.. the relaxation part of the service falls by the wayside..for a quick fix .. come on in..for creativity you need to be outspoken and ask and ask and than tell them vs them giving you suggestions..now they do have alot of samples to look at..you just have to stand your ground that your browsing before you spend 70.00. (Basic pedicure and powder nails with no manicure)

They have bad service I recieved a cold pedicure and a cold manicure I told the technician she add some kind of warmth but it was still cold. I chose shellac and noy even a week later its peeling. My husband and I both got service him a man mani and pedi they had no problem fast talking and charging me over $100 for service I WILL NEVER REFER OR BE BACK AGAIN. I liked how my pedicure came out the only reason I give 1 star is because idk how they’re trying to stop the spread of COVID a lady was also getting a pedicure 1 chair apart from me and she left then another customer sat down the chair was not disinfected before she sat they didn’t even bother too and they didn’t sanitized the supplies either from the same supplies wore used on both of them!!! NASTY

Do NOT waste your time. Especially now with covid going on they use the same nail files on everyone (and this is supposed to be a spa?) Its pretty but so dirty in there. No sanitizing whatsoever. Then the quality of the nails is just terrible happened to me a couple times and I just thought maybe Ill try a different nail tech. No it just got worse. The man there doesnt care ONE thing about customer service so just dont waste your time or money. Youll just end up leaving like you need a refill already or coming back for nail breakage because they dont form the nail correctly.
