DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! If you choose to rent, take pictures before and after of your move in and insist that they walk through with you. We experienced significant mold, leaking busted water heater. Showed management picture after picture of mold on the ceiling, walls, under furniture, etc on our move out. You could have pushed your finger through the wall it was so wet. They claimed it was “grease” on the floor and sent us a bill to replace carpet. We were sent pictures two weeks later of even MORE mold that spread to walls, inside dishwasher, bathroom floors etc. Clear mold issue throughout apartment. You can also see damage from outside the apartment from mold water entry. This complex is disgusting. Too many other options to have to deal with rude and incompetent management like this.

Like the place has nice apartments, and seem to good management there as well.

My fiancé and I love living here!! When we were planning our move to Hickory, it was extremely stressful. One of the only easy things was finding these apartments. Chelsea Ritz was SO incredible to work with. Besides being a great communicator, she is so caring and helpful. Part of the reason we chose these apartments was because of her. She blew us away with all of her help. We would recommend the estates to all of our family or friends! It’s a great place to live with people that go above and beyond.

If I could leave negative stars I would. They charged for things that were the apartments fault and the manager was disrespectful and hateful when questioned about it. Would not suggest living here. They also have a mold problem

The staff at the Estates is very friendly and outgoing! Chelsea was very knowledgeable and very good at her job! She helped us move in to to our dream home! Maintenance is really quick with completing their work orders as well. We couldn’t be more thankful. ♥️

My husband & I have lived here for a little over 3 years and have enjoyed our apartment. We feel very safe, have respectful neighbors and the staff is very nice. Maintenance is friendly and always fix any issues ASAP. I wouldnt consider these apartments luxury apartments as the appliances are outdated. However, they are still the nicest apartments in the area. I have recommended these apartments to multiple people, as it is a great place to live.

Megan was a wonderful contact for me. She handled every situation with knowledge, courtesy, and professionalism. She alway had a smile and a welcome for everyone. She seemed to be the only one in the office who actually knew how to act in a professional manner. While I was a resident, I saw a large number of turnovers with two managers, four leasing agents, and numerous maintenance people. Megan was calm and professional in all,situations. Since I have a business degree, I could never understand why Megan was not the manager. Unfortunately, I had to leave the area to be near family after a medical emergency. I still miss the beautiful apartment—and Megan!

Told me and my wife our jobs and what we was going make would be plenty to qualify she would see no reason why we cant lease all we need to do was put 250 dollars down for a outside source to determine. We did not qualify. The outside source said because my wife is from another state and not established in NC yet and I hadnt been on my job long enough. Really sucks we lost 250 the woman at the office said she had been doing it a long time and seen no reason why we wont be able to make it she shouldnt be telling people that unless shes getting a cut of the 250. We went down the road got a nicer place a little more expensive and only had to put down 50

Been living here for four months now and its a nice quiet community. Nice cozy interior with large closets, garden tubs, laundry room, storage closet, high ceilings, and crown molding to name a few. Along with a great management team on site who attends to any issues that may pop up.

Management is rude. Be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing, never ever take them at their word. Take pictures when you move in to prove any damage they left in place and report it. We had to fight non-stop ant infestation. A shady business for which you have to pay top dollar and be looked down upon from the manager. I would avoid if at all possible.

Love our new apartment at The Estates @ Legends. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace and quite.

The ladies working in the leasing office are great to work with and always seem to address any problems immediately. The problems that I see with the Estates are some of the inconsiderate tenants who dont pick up after their dogs and those that cant park straight; take up 2 spaces and allow their guests to park where they shouldnt be parking. All in all though, living here is a fairly pleasant experience.

I lived here from November 2018 - October 2019. The complex itself is very nice with a ton of activities, things like a movie room dedicated to tenants, a pool, laundry rooms and the like make it very nice for either a small family or young adults. My only problems were the rent was kind of high and I didnt really utilize the area as much as some would so I wasnt really getting my moneys worth. That being said the area around is fantastic, the mall is across the street coupled with being right beside an AMC movie theater youll never run out of things to do if you want. This also comes with a bit of noise at night especially on weekends but that isnt the complexs fault.I enjoyed living here a ton and would recommend it to anyone in the market if you are looking for a more young adult focused area.

We moved in to the Estates at Legends 1 week ago, and so far our experience has been pretty terrible. First of all, it is expensive, and the hidden fees are what will kill you. There are cleaning fees, pet fees, administrative fees, and carpet cleaning fees, that together will run you close to $700. The cleaning fee is not just if you dont clean or you leave it a disaster, you just always have to pay that when you move out, no matter what. The $200 admin fee is not a deposit and is just another way for them to make some money. That is on top of the application fee, by the way.When we got into our apartment, it looked like parts of it had not been cleaned at all. The bathrooms were gross, there was old pee on the undersides of the toilet seats, the floors were dirty in every room, and the carpet, which they said they had been replaced, had stains on it and looked like it had definitely not been new carpet. We had to clean out the freezer before we could put our food in it, and the fridge is yellow and spotted on the inside. There were nails all over the floor throughout the apartment and we have an infant crawling, so that is fun. The most disappointing thing has been the manager of the complex. We told her about everything going on and she said that we would not have to pay the completely arbitrary cleaning fee when we move out. I have never had to pay a cleaning at move out anywhere I have been so that does not excite me that much. We approached her again about the apartment and I showed her pictures of the carpet, and she was very rude and blamed it on the cleaners and the carpet installers and did not accept any responsibility herself. She said that she did a walk through of the apartment before we moved in which either means she did a bad job, or she is saying that we are lying. She asked me what do you want me to do about it? and that was how the situation has ended so far. Now we have three months here and we wish that we had never moved in. We have been treated as if the manager does not care if we are here or not and there has been no customer service from her to speak of. Bethany Reel, the other employee has been very polite and helpful, and the maintenance staff has been great but the manager is rude, and will accept no responsibility for the horrific state of our apartment. She has only implied that we are making it up so far, which is a great way to handle customers with a complaint, and with pictures to back them up. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to live. Terrible experience so far.

I am 47. I moved here from 800 miles away to a place where I know no one and nothing about the area. Through out my life Ive moved an average 2 to 3 times per decade. I have NEVER felt so welcomed, safe, comfortable and at home as I do here. I cant imagine having to end my lease when the time comes. In the 47 years of my life, this is the ONE place I authentically feel I can call Home..:)

My family loves here. The parking is a little tight, but there is plenty of places to park ( you just may have to walk a little). Very nice complex and close to everything!

Nice visit and review of property with property management. Complex is well maintained and nice amenities to enjoy as a added benefit. Highly recommend a tour.

Decent apartments. Staff always goes home 15 minutes early, without fail. Pools are kind of small and luxury is a bit of an overstatement. Its definitely not the Venetian but its a nice place for a fair price.

Charge rent for pets every month then slam you with fees when you move out with everything spotless. Paid over $1400 in pet rent over our time there and still forced to pay $95 pet fee that wasnt in the lease. It was either pay or they send it to a collection agency. The manager is the worst! Argumentative and unfriendly the entire time. Even sent maitenence into my apartment without my approval or any notice and no attempt was made to schedule a time when I could be present. Never have had such a terrible experience in 10+ years of renting.

Expensive but nice. A big down fall is the pool and tennis court are only near one section so if you live down the hill you have to drive to go to the pool or tennis court.

I know there are slim pickings in Hickory if you have a pet, but I would not recommend here! Catawba Valley Blvd becomes a race track at night and is very loud. Also, if you do move in, take pictures of everything, inside & out!!
