I lived in these apartments for almost two years. They were usually very peaceful and quiet (unless you live on the side closer to the highway).Maintenance was always extremely prompt and friendly. Pest control was regular and also friendly. The pool was always clean. Landscaping is regular and the property manager communicates to the residents when these scheduled maintenance procedures will take place.I never had a problem in these apartments that wasnt the result of some random, unrelated event. Overall, I loved my stay here.

I lived at Peppertree for 8 months. It was the worst place Ive ever stayed! The office staff was HORRIBLE. They were never there during office hours and when they were they were in the smoking and you couldnt breath! Amber is the leasing agent and she is the true definition of a waste of a human being. She is so rude that it is ridiculous. They tried to increase the rent in the middle of my roommate and I lease! That was the most ridiculous thing ever! It was also very dark there at night and one of the outside lights went out in June; I reported it and they didnt fix it until March!!! I was harrased by loitering men every time I stepped foot outside but Amber said that wasnt their problem even though those guys didnt live there! BUT NOTHING IS WORST THAN THIS...While I was sitting in my living room one Saturday evening my door and the frame just fell in!! I didnt know what to do! I called the office and the on-site security guard but I got no answer! My roommates dad came and stayed there that night to watch our stuff. The door didnt get fixed until that Monday and they called putting three screws in the frame fixing it. I just couldnt stay there any longer. I broke my lease and moved out and never looked back! IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE MUGGED, OFFENDED BY THE OFFICE STAFF, OR JUST DONT WANT YOUR FRONT DOOR TO FALL IN WHILE YOURE WATCHING TV THEN AVOID THIS PLACE! I dont even drive down the road it is located on anymore! I take the long way just to avoid it!!!

Please dont settle at these apartment I stay there for two years which is too long . I had to deal with roaches and flea bites every day . At the end of December I moved out n I paid my rent for the month . Now today I get an email saying I owed a past due January $698 . Which is crazy because I been in my new place for a hole month without hearing a word from peppertree apartment . They took my deposit from me rip off !

I lived in a 2-story apartment here for 2 years under Southgate Realty, 2014-16. Hang on for the enormous list of complaints I have: By the time I left, it was completely infested with roaches even though I kept it clean and they sprayed (only a couple spots in a few rooms, not a thorough spray). Some outlets didnt work. My internet was shut off because the cable in the wall was, as Comcast suggested, probably frayed (Im pretty sure there were mice here, too), so I had to use another hook-up. Oh also they have a contract with Comcast, so you dont have any other options on internet providers. The light above the sink had to be replaced (not just the bulb), and when I put in a work order for that and for a serious mold check (as my roommate started experiencing HORRIBLE allergies in the apartment), they waited and then deleted my online account so I would no longer have record of the work order. They only fixed the light when I threatened to break contract for neglect, and they came and checked for mold by simply locking the water heater closet so I couldnt even look into it anymore. Then when I moved out, I found a ton of mold in the coat closet. If theyd actually conducted a check as I requested, they would have easily found that. Instead, they chose to suggest I give the baseboards a good wipe. The porch lights rarely work, even when they replace them. They offered trash pick-up for the apartments farthest from the dumpster, then they took that offer away. As someone else has mentioned, rather than reward loyalty, they increase the rent. The carpet was shoddy, with burn marks, stains, and no padding on the stairs. The entire place was dark all the time because of its angle, yet they [more than once] sent notices reminding everyone to keep their blinds shut. Before moving out, I had the office employee come check my apartment for me to guarantee that she was aware how clean Id left it (there was hair all over the sinks and urine all over the toilets upon my own move-in, so I can promise you I left it better than I found it), and yet they still gave me two separate charges for carpet cleaning, one of which was $80, though my roommate had spoken to the carpet cleaner just a few months before (while he was doing another apartment) and found out that he only charged $50. Southgate just wanted to extract the most out of us.On a separate note, though not Southgates fault, I frequently heard very loud fights outside the apartments behind Peppertree and saw more than one police intervention there. Gunshots woke me up twice, as well.Bottom line, I would not recommend this place.

Got turned over to collections after I paid them TWICE for the same bill over a period of 3 years. These people truly SUCK!!
