My husband and I lived at Redwood GR for 2 years and could not be happier with our experience. We were the first individuals to live in our specific unit which had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-concept living room/kitchen space, and bonus space downstairs which was the perfect size for our first home together with enough space to entertain friends and family. The staff were all very friendly and easy to work with and the community was quiet and well-maintained. Any time we had a concern, maintenance was over within a few days to look at it. Finally, they were very accommodating with some sudden changes to a lease we had signed which had not taken effect yet. Would certainly recommend this complex to anyone!

We stayed at Redwood of Grand Rapids for 7 months after selling our home and looking for a condo.The community was well maintained. The staff was all great! And the units were modern, very well insulated, and soundproofed.Our unit had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen & living room open space, and a bonus room at the lower level. A bonus was the 2 stall attached garage.We highly recommend these apartments!!

We arrived from out of state on a holiday weekend. The apartment was clean and beautiful. We really enjoyed our time in the apartment. The light was beautiful, very sunny. Id recommend your complex.

The requirement that I show 12 months of renters insurance PAID IN FULL prior to move in was a huge problem. I had USAA renters insurance at my previous location that was to renew on 11/2020. I was paying for the insurance monthly with my auto Insurance. Due to your requirement, I had to cancel my then current renters insurance and get a new policy with USAA. Since it was a new policy USAA couldnt treat me as an existing renters insurance customer which made my policy slightly increase based on the rates currently in effect now for new customers! USAA did not understand your need for this requirement and stated that since your firm(s) are listed as additional insured (using my monthly payment method) you would have automatically been notified of any changes to the policy.As a retiree having to pay a years premium at an increased rate had a negative financial impact on me.

This is the second place I’ve moved into with this company and I absolutely love the management staff. I have never had an issue with them and any issue with the units or grounds, even in the slightest, the management has resolved in a timely manner. It’s a great place for a home for someone who is just starting out!

Living at Redwood is an enjoyable and pleasant experience. This is made possible by Alex, our maintenance person. He is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. he is a real asset to Redwood.

EDIT 2 (March 2021): Not quite ready to change the star rating, but would give an additional 1/2 star back. The new office manager seems to be much friendlier than the last (although they change frequently. Shes the 4th one since we moved here!). New maintenance guy is nice as well. Word is still out about how well the lawns will be maintained this year.EDIT: Changing to 3 stars. While the home itself is amazing, and maintenance is responsive, they do a very poor job with lawn care, leaf removal, and snow removal. We received an email about snow removal basically telling us that it will get done when it gets done, so dont complain. Meanwhile, I just spent over an hour shoveling out two driveways and our sidewalks. There are a lot of retired people living here, and my neighbors driveway had at least 3-4 inches accumulation. Its garbage day, and Im sure she struggled to get hers out.For the price we pay here, we expect services to be much better. My daughters place is half the price, and theres so much salt on the steps and common walks, you could cure meat, LOL. Redwood has very strict rules for residents, but their services are poor. No club house or amenities whatsoever; therefore, the high cost should come with immaculate services.Love the home itself and the layout! Its bright, airy, and nice finishes! Maintenance is very responsive for most things, and Alex is very professional and friendly. Office is okay to work with, but not always responsive, professional, or friendly, and the staff changes frequently. They are very strict with us about personalization of exterior area directly outside of the unit, but have allowed the neighbors to get away with breaking the rules and trashy decor.

The staff here have been great. Each one has been very helpful in helping me to get moved in and getting any maintenance issues resolved. It is very quiet here, and the neighbors are very nice.

Nice floor layout. Value is OK. Have to say that the customer support is not fantastic. Frequent management changes - third property manager in a year. Billing is not transparent and has frequent errors. Resolving minor billing issues has become a source of conflict. Overly-restrictive lease agreement.

My husband and I finally found our “forever home”. We could not be happier. A single level home with everything anyone could ever ask for. It’s like we designed it ourselves. Gorgeous laminate floors with beautiful high quality carpet in the bedrooms. Two stall garage and huge closets. The master bedroom is to die for. It’s actually a master suite with a large bathroom and double sinks with a HUGE walk in closet which I use as a dressing room and even have a chair and small table in it. The in ground sprinkling and landscaping is beautiful and I can enjoy sitting on our patio to take it all in. The best part is the management and maintenance. They are second to none. Jen, the manager, is so friendly you’d think you had known her for years. If you need anything they are right there for you with no waiting. What really impressed me was when I asked if I could hang plants in my “apartment” and was told “of course you can! This is your home, not an apartment”. That’s how we feel every day. It feels and looks like a gorgeous condo, but rented. No more moving for us. Photos to be added soon. For now, here is our very happy Great Dane Zeus loving his new home.
