I have to say this is the best auto repair shop Ive ever used. I just happened to bring my wifes car there for service 5 years ago because they were close to where I live. They did an awesome job explaining what was needed, performing the service, and even identified issues that needed fixing... Not now but in the future. Gave us a heads up and estimated 6 months left on motor mounts. Got it done by them after 6 months. I have brought used vehicles to them before purchase for an inspection and countless other services. Their prices are very good too. Not so good that you think you got scammed either.

Okay, so when they say on their website that “service has always been our number one priority.” And that their service is “grounded in trust, integrity, and honesty” it is. This is a true statement.I brought my RV in a couple of months ago for some work. I won’t get into the specifics, but after the work was done, there was a problem.I didn’t discover the problem for a while, but once I did, it was bad. Normally I don’t complain when I have work done on anything. Just as a general rule. I know that most places deal with people getting angry and making demands, and I just don’t want to be that guy. Plus I’ve had my share of run around with mechanics in the past, so normally I just avoid getting my blood pressure maxed out. But, in this case, I have had a recent group of issues with my rig, and couldn’t just afford to just eat this one.I called and these guys and they made it right. Right away at their expense. No hassle. It was clear to them that it was on them, so they said that and fixed it.I’m not saying people should read this and think they can abuse the system, but what I am saying is that for sure, if these guys make a mistake, and mistakes do happen sometimes, they will be upfront and make it right. Really refreshing, good business, definitely pros. I will definitely trust them with my business again in the future.

I went in initially for my backup camera not working right. Well, while checking for that, they found that the positive cable on my battery was corroded. I had had my battery replaced within the past Id say 7 months. Now why wouldnt the people who replaced it not find that. Im so happy I went to Champs, they went above and beyond what they were supposed to do. If they had just stuck to the backup camera I could have broke down sooner. Champs is so good, they care about their customers. They are real CHAMPS in my book.

It started with the excellent customer service I got from the staff when I called for repairs. Dropped my vehicle off and within a couple of hours, they were calling me with repairs and approx. estimate. I took my vehicle in for my main issue which they diagnosed. They also mentioned to me that my window would not roll down, which I knew it didnt. They offered to repair if I wanted, I gave them permission since I knew eventually I would need it fixed. The cost of that was very reasonable. Champs I believe is not out to take advantage of their customers, I find this as very caring. The overall repairs, I found were very affordable for what I had done. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. Thank you staff/mechanics for an awesome job. Champs was recommended to me from a friend who has had service done there. I was hearing an unusual noise coming from my F-150 truck, which I rely on everyday, and I did not feel comfortable taking the truck into a place with unexperienced (not seasoned) employees to diagnose the issue. Im glad I took it to Champs and will continue to do so.

You will get exceptional service from the moment you enter there establishment and until you leave. Im sure this service will continue even when you call with a question. Terrible customer experience. I paid these guys $400 to replace a part that didnt work. I brought the car back the guy got defensive and said the part wasnt the problem before he even looked he said part wasnt the problem even though I brought my car to them with the part disconnected. Fast forward one year and a burned out fuel pump due to this. Im paying another mechanic half the price and hes using AC Delco not some unnamed brand. Save your time and money. SHOP AROUND.

Service Advisor Brandt Boroviak and the service technicians were honest, courteous, and efficient. My 8-yr-old Ford Fiestas A/C began to falter, and they diagnosed the problem in 48 hrs. Upon giving the company the go ahead on the job, the car was repaired in 24 hours, and I picked it up the next day. I had them inspect it, since it was nearing 100K mi., and they found a cracked spark plug, and instead of pushing me to have all plugs replaced, which would have meant more parts and labor costs, they were fine with me doing that job myself. I felt no pressure to spend more money with them. I really appreciated the very thorough reports they sent me (which included pictures) of the parts needing replaced, with the technicians notes detailing how he arrived at his diagnosis. The work orders outlining their estimates were detailed and made sense. This was my first experience with CHAMPS Family Automotive, and if there is ever another problem with my car, I will be calling Brandt! 5 Stars!!

Good service at a fair price

I found Champs Family Automotive during one of my weekend runs. I was impressed by their Professional Appearance. Recently, the need arose for their services and I decided to give them a chance. That decision was a very good one.I stopped by to see if they could help. I was immediately met by Jerry who was wearing a mask and very conscious of social distancing. He asked me some general questions and scheduled a drop off for the following day.Fast forward, I dropped off the vehicle and was contacted within two hours with a repair estimate. Jerry was very thorough, informative, professional presenting the quotation. We scheduled the work to be done while Jerry advised they would keep the vehicle inside overnight and have the repairs completed the following day.I received a call from Jerry the following day advising that my vehicle was completed and I could stop by to pick it up.In the world today where so many organizations struggle with customer service, dealing with Champs Automotive was a feel good memory of days long time where people do what they say they will do and do it correctly.I left champs Automotive after picking up my vehicle feeling very satisfied with the experience. Friendly staff and great turnaround time!

I took in my 1990 F150 to have the AC checked. The AC wasn’t blowing cold. I had previously tried taking it to Pepboys but they refused to take my truck because of the old AC system. Champs not only fixed and upgraded my AC system at an unbeatable price but they also recommended other areas that my truck needed work on. Their honest opinion and will to fix my truck’s problems is greatly appreciated.

This was our first experience with Champs Automotive and have to say it was Excellent. Our vehicle left us stranded during the holidays and had to be towed in on Christmas Eve. Josh and Jerry were very accommodating. They waited for the vehicle to arrive, made sure it was received and safely locked up. They communicated with our warranty company and kept us informed throughout the process. Never once did we feel they were trying to take advantage of us or feel uncomfortable with what they said was wrong with the vehicle. The only unfortunate part in of all of this was that our situation required a Dealer Only part and had to be towed again to the Dealer. Even thru this, Champs communicated with the dealer, explained the situation and made arrangements for a smooth transition.We strongly recommend Champs Family Automotive to anyone looking for an honest, no nonsense and knowledgeable service center. Well I have had trouble with my 2004 Chevy Tahoe getting a reduced engine speed code but it was intermittent for a year and a half took it to the dealer 3 times and they just put a band aid on the situation I had replaced everything that could cause this throttle body, pedal sensor, map sensor, ETC. well come to find out the grounds we hooked up wrong one was even hooked up to the valve cover thats why it wasnt all the time so please drive past the dealer and stop here they took me back and showed me the wiring diagram and kept me in the loop on what the were doing very fast and friendly service. the one word that I read on the window was integrity when I saw this I was thinking well her we go again well I couldnt have been more wrong the guys are old school mom and pop shop, they have my respect and loyalty I even took her on a road trip the next day went 254.8 miles with no issues so please if you want fair and friendly service come to Champs...………….Tippie

Great family oriented shop that is always straight up with you weather you like it or not.. I moved here from NJ and after dealing with a couple different local shops that just couldnt figure out what was wrong with my diesel F250 these guys figured it out right away! ..They gave me a 3 different options on how to fix it the right way , and what needs to be done asap without trying to milk me all at once ... Best diesel shop in the West valley hands down !

I wish I could leave a review every time I come here, but I can only edit past reviews. I would give Champs 5 stars everytime. They are so honest and genuine that I no longer worry when I have to service my vehicle. Places that treat their customers this way are hard to find and customer service like theirs is a lost art elsewhere.

I brought my diesel pickup in here and these guys are really awesome. They are very professional and highly skilled. I really appreciate a company that works with you on price and tries to earn your long term business rather than gouging you for as much as they can possibly get away with. I have had this truck into other shops yet none of them could find my oil leak. OTHER SHOPS told me that it could take 5 hrs of labor and there was no guarantee they would find any leak. These guys found my oil leak and fixed it at a great price. I am excited to have discovered a shop that I trust and NOW I can finally start getting the things that need to be fixed addressed.

My check engine light was on and kept staying on. I couldnt figure out what the problem was and I thought maybe the catalytic converter was needing to be replaced. I saw that Champs shad opened a new location in Goodyear and I happened to be down there. So I stopped in and explained to Champs (the owner) that I was pretty confident that my catalytic converter was on the way out and was causing the check engine light to be on all the time. I asked how much it would be to replace it right now. He first asked if he could take the car back in the shop and look it over just to make sure that the converter was the problem. After a bit Champ came out and said, do you want the good news or the better news! I said give me both. He explained that the converter was fine and the issue was the need for new spark plugs. Thats it. The better news was that I saved quite a bit of change not having to deal with a new catalytic converter. Champs Family Automotive rocks!!!

Champs dose work on some of my work trucks and always dose a good job, they always have good communication on whats wrong and options to fix, I dropped my wifes SUV off to get the ac fixed and man champs went the extra mile, not only did they give my wife and son a ride home they kept the car for a few extra days just driving it around to make sure sure sure it was fixed, for me to say I couldnt have done a better job myself is rare in todays world, great job champs! I go TDY frequently and if I have mechanical issues its always the biggest hassle to find a decent shop. I looked for a week to find Champs and I am so glad I did. This is one of the best shops I have been to in my life. I generally do all my own maintenance on my vehicles, but I had been sitting on some new engine mounts for my 2003 Toyota Matrix for over a month and I just didnt have the time or motivation to put them in, so I decided to check around and see what it would cost to have them installed for me. Champs quoted me $300 for the labor which seemed reasonable and based on the positive reviews from other customers, I decided to go with them.I dropped my car off in the morning and by the afternoon it was ready. When I went to pick it up, my paperwork said that I had a power steering fluid leak and a coolant leak. The coolant leak seemed weird because I had just personally replaced the radiator about 8 months prior and hadnt spotted any leaks since then. When I asked the shop manager (James) about it, he said Id have to bring the car back for a diagnostic to find any leaks. I decided to hold off on the diagnostic.I drove the car for about 15 minutes and then parked it. I popped the hood to inspect the new engine mounts and the first thing I noticed is that the engine bay had been sprayed down. The felt protectors on my battery were still wet and it was obvious that someone had sprayed down the engine with a pressure washer, which seemed weird. At this time I was on my lunch break and just wanted to look over the new engine mounts, I didnt bother looking for any leaks.Fast forward a few days and its the weekend. I take another look at the car and notice that the power steering reservoir is nearly empty, so Im thinking I must actually have a leak. However, there are no new spots on the garage floor or anything else that would indicate a leak. Then I notice that the power steering fluid return line sits right on top of the side engine mount that had just been replaced. In fact, it looks like youd have to remove the power steering hose before you could remove the engine mount. Where the hose connects to the reservoir is covered in fresh fluid and gunk and the hose twists freely on the connector.It doesnt take a genius to know what happened. They removed the hose which drained out most of the fluid, probably made a mess and decided to hose down the engine. Rather than filling up the power steering fluid reservoir, they tell me I have a leak so that Id be inclined to bring the car back in. They even make up some crap about having a coolant leak, but when I check for myself I can see that the fluid level in the overflow reservoir is at full.This tactic of fabricating problems is dishonest and I feel bad for the people who trust shops like Champs to do honest work and end up getting ripped off. Honest shops will show you where they spotted a leak, not tell you to pay for a diagnostic. Honest shops will replace any fluids they drain when performing a job, not send you on your way with a near empty reservoir and tell you that you have leak. Pass on Champs, find an honest shop.

After going to 3 mechanics, I finally stumbled across Champs and couldnt be more happy. I needed a new engine in my car and Champs made the whole process stress free and easy. My mechanic, Jerry, kept me up to date on everything that was going on and made sure that my car was 100% fixed before sending it off with me. Anytime a new issue arose, he informed me right away and then called my insurance to find out how much was covered. The previous 2 mechanics were either unable to work with insurance, or were not trustworthy. I felt completely different here. Rather than spending almost $5,0000, I spent only a fraction of that. I cant thank you all enough for how much youve helped. I do/will continue to recommend you to everyone I know, and I will be back if more issues arise

AMAZING SERVICE!!! I was traveling across country and was passing through Goodyear and had car issues. Found this shop near to where we broke down. Called several repair shops and all said they were to busy to see me that day let alone within 2-3 as the were booked with appointments. I called Champs and even though they were super busy, the manager was willing to work with me due to my situation as we are a time sensitive schedule on our travels. The tow trick driver dropped my car off at Champs 30 minutes before closing and they stayed after and worked on my car until they figured out the problem. Because it was a computerized key issue, I was not able to get out until the next day, but the Champs employees worked hard to get me new keys ready to go by midday the next day. EXTREMELY reasonable cost as well. I would recommend Champs Family Auto to anyone and everyone looking for repairs in the Goodyear area. If you are passing through and have the time for a repair you have been procrastinating on doing or because you dont trust any repair shop in your area, this is the place. Champs Family Automotive is the best automotive repair shop Ive ever dealt with. Theyre friendly, helpful, and amazingly communicative. They let me know of any issues as well as potential issues that we just need to keep an eye on but dont yet need to be fixed. When Champ was explaining something about my truck and I stared at him blankly, he took out his phone so he could show me the pictures hed taken under my truck to help me understand. Who does that?!? Ive also been very please with the prices!

I lifted my truck 6 inches and purchased wheels from a local rim shop. They offered to align my vehicle part of the deal of the wheel package. After waiting for 8 hours I was told my truck needed extended control arms and my truck could not be aligned. I contacted the company that I purchased the lift and was told that the stock control arms should work. So I looked around and found Champs Automotive read some reviews decided to get a secound opinion. Im so glad I did. They were able to perform the alignment at a good price. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Went to Champs for the first time and I have found my new repair shop. The whole staff is friendly and professional, and the work they do is top notch at a VERY affordable price. Their quoted prices for some other work I asked them about is hundreds less than the dealership. All of this and its only three miles from my front door. What more can you ask for? The shop in Goodyear is honest, reliable and fair in all respects. I have an expensive diesel bus and needed some work including oil and filter change. Knew there was a leak at the pan drain plug and when it was drained, we could see threads coming off the plug and out of the hole. Aluminum pan and steel drain plug through the years probably overtightened. They worked with me through several options and eventually we had a new pan from Cummings overnighted and installed with new oil the next day. Price for everything was very reasonable and Josh stayed right on top of everything. What is there to say other than FIRST CLASS repair shop. My first visit was to check on injectors. Within a few hour had diagnosed which ones needs replacement and then covered several option....keeping in mind cost and reliability.Next Chris and his team were the ONLY ones that were able to diagnose an alternator on my daughters car right down to the exact resistance.Then by chance I threw out the question of campers......YUP, the do some work and it just so happened to be what I needed.A HUGE thank you Chris and the rest Champs team.

We were 85 miles from home, Friday before Christmas, when we realized we had a fuel leak. We called 5 places who refused to see us before we called Champs. They told us to come right over, they would at least take a look. They got to us right away, found a fuel leak, fixed it, took a test drive and double checked. There was no charge! This definitely brightened our Christmas. We will continue to give them our business.

Thought I received good service, however, it took a while to realize I didnt.Two Issues:1) Took the car in for an oil change, asked them to check the car because it makes a terrible noise at highway speeds. They took it for a test drive and said its fine, that just how the tires are. About 3k miles later, the inside tread on my right front tire completely came off (and they only had about 12k miles on them). Took it to a Tire Kingdom and they showed me the alignment was WAY off. With the new tires from Tire Kingdom the noise is totally gone and the car handles much better. Dont know how they didnt recommend this as it was almost the first thing Tire Kingdom said could be the issue when I mentioned the road noise.2) The stickers they use on your windshield to indicate oil change do not come off. Mine did not peel off properly so now I just have torn paper stuck to my windshield. Their recommendation was to get a razor to take it off, but I dont know why they dont just use plastic stickers like everyone else. Plus it takes forever with a razor because the windshield is concave, not so easy to work on.Id say to go somewhere else, you may think you get good service until issues like this start coming up.Update 12/23/2017: Response to their response. No recommendation was made to take the car to the place that had installed the tires. I was told thats how the tires are by their techs. I was purchasing the car and would have definitely had the previous owner take care of the tire issue if I was told to have someone else look at it. Car was transported to my home state after my visit to your facility because I trusted what I was told and went ahead with the purchase.

I like to do some of my auto work when I can, and Champs helped me out when I needed an axle vacuum seal put on. I changed out all front suspension except stabilizer bar links. I had a popping noise when I took it in to get diagnosed and the answer was the stabilizer bar links. So I went home with my diagnosis and promptly changed them out. Still have the noise. Called back to Champs and James says, I dont know what to tell you, if we would have put the links on and then the noise was still there then we would take them off and start all over. Its obvious that they are not happy that I did the work myself, but I paid my diagnostic fee. And Im all about saving money when I can. Doesnt seem fair. Two stars for helping me with axle. Not number 1 in service though. The owner has since called me and is more than willing to help to resolve the issue. Thats the type of customer service that I was used to at the Champs in Surprise.

Great service, great prices, and quality work on my dads diesel. Veryfriendly and knowledgeable staff. Also Champ, the owner, was able to findme a windshield wiper for my 2014 Chevy Silverado when No one else had,besides the dealership. Definitely the shop we will go back to. . . . . .

We were on our way to Yuma from our home in Canada. We spent the night next to I-10 with no battery power. The guys a Champs were as courteous as can be, did a great job and had us back on the road within a few hours. Graet outfit!

My brakes were acting funny...pedal seemed to be going down further than normal, then this grinding sound. Stopped truck, looked underneath it, nothing. Put it in gear, started to go...grinding. nice guy from construction site helped push it to the curb. Called Champ. He sent a tow truck, right over. After getting a $1400 quote from a dealership for a new radiator a week before our family vacation, someone recommended Champs Automotive. Best advice anyone could have given me. I was treated with such respect, I was actually surprised. I was hesitant to take the car in by myself (thinking they would want to take advantage of me since I am a woman), but after speaking to the gentle men there for about 5 minutes, I felt very comfortable. They let me drop off my vehicle at the shop without an appointment and was even given a ride home in a super cool truck!! My kids loved it!.Turned out, my vehicle didnt need a radiator at all. They performed a lot of different tests on my vehicle and I was advised that no repairs were needed...did I mention I was not charged one single penny for anything at all?? Needless to say, I will definitely be back if I ever need any work done on my vehicles and I STRONGLY recommend CHAMPS FAMILY AUTOMOTIVE in Goodyear to anyone, especially to all the women out there that think like myself!!

I had some work done on my 03 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Duramax because it wouldnt start so someone recommended Champs, I had it towed to them and they said that my fuel smelled like mineral oil or something & wanted TO START by flushing my system, updating somethings on my fuel system and go from there. Which would cost about 1,300, I declined, had my truck towed back home but they charged me $100 for basically smelling my fuel. I ended up taking it to a mechanic recommended by a co-worker that fixed my truck without doing anything to my fuel... fixed exactly what the problem was without guessing & only charging me for was broken.

Excellent shop!! Ive worked in the automotive industry for the past 30 years and Ive delt with many shops over the years. Shops like Champs are few and far between, they really know their stuff and theres no B.S. They call exactly when they say they will and explain exactly what your vehicle needs in terms that anyone could understand. I had them replace fuel injectors in my 5.9 Cummins and couldnt be happier, it was done a lot quicker that I expected and very reasonably priced for the gargantuan amount of work that was involved.Plus, when I got my truck back, the radio station was right where I left it. Lol.

My motorhome had mechanical problems when traveling through Phoenix. Champs Family Automotive immediately worked me in to get my repairs completed as soon as possible. They were very thorough in their work and did their best to keep repair costs down. Josh kept close track of all the work and kept me informed of the progress, including working himself to 9:00 in the evening to assure repairs were completed and the quality of the work was assured. They even located a nearby hotel that would accept our pet. I have dealt with many repair shops and without question these are the best by far I have ever had experience with.

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THERE! We blew a head gasket on our truck and needed it repaired quickly as we were out of town and needed to go home. They said they could get it done in 3 days, it took them 7 buisness days and they continued to raise the price. The national average for any reputable auto shop is 20 hours maximum. They were the worst shop I have ever been to. If you value your time and your money do not take it there. They had a starting quote of $2900 and ended at over $4000 and we still havent gotten the bill and nothing changed during this time to justify this jump nothing changed. Over all the worst experience I have ever had take it to anywhere but here! They might be good for changing oil but they are the worst for anything past that. Burned over a weeks vacation and still had to rent a car to go home after there constant it will be done tomorrow routine for 4 days in a row.

After going through many different diesel mechanics, I found Champs. Thank goodness!! Josh and his crew did amazing work on my 6.0 and I couldnt be happier. Since then, I have now taken our Cadillac Escalade, and the Lexus to them for all our needs. Oil changes to major repair jobs. I highly recommend them for any car.

They took what could have been a horrible situation with us (truck in pieces on a roadtrip) and made it their problem ie; we got this! From Hotel helps to rental car help to dealing with insurance adjuster.. They just did it!Warranty with Work and parts! Clear and continual communication throughout the repair timeframe. Honestly, even though we live 10 hours away, we plan on bringing our vehicles to them in the future for service. THEY ARE THAT GOOD!

I was having an unusual noise coming from underneath the hood of my car. Every time I ran the car over 50 miles per hour this loud squealing sound would kick in and I couldnt figure out what it was. I happen to be driving in Goodyear and noticed a new sign for Champs Family Automotive. I stopped in there to have them check it out. It just so happened that this was the 2nd location for Champs and they had just opened it up. This place was really nice and the staff there were probably some of the most courteous Ive dealt with in the auto industry. Come to find out, after the guys got under the hood and inspected, it was just an accessory belt in need of replacement. The Champs Staff replaced it and now my car runs and sounds like a champ again. Thanks again Champ, to you and your staff, you got a new customer for life.

Love them I can not speak highly enough to do their work justice that they have done on pride and joy 1986 Thunderbird Elán. I rarely let anyone but myself do any kind of work on my vehicles but when I needed the work done and was to over loaded to be able to do so myself I have absolutely NO WORRIES with my baby being in their care.

I had major problems with my 2006 F350 diesel. I went to Champs Goodyear shop where they were able to diagnosis several problems quickly. They explained in detail what the problems were and gave me several options for the repair. After the repair, my truck was running like a champ. My fuel millage increase and so did my power. I would use them again. Very trustworthy company.

2000 Excursion 7.3, went in for recommended (by them) front end work, took it out for a road trip and had to drive the whole way at 65mph because of a death wobble at 70mph, took it back and the service tech, before even looking at the truck or asking anything else, simply said its the tires, they have lumps. These were less than a yr old Michellins which I know didnt wobble before the service was done. Maybe it was, maybe it wasnt their work idk, all I know is after thousands of dollars in maint. repairs (all on their recommendations) I finally lost trust in them and their diagnosing process. (great work from Fawn though!!)

Received a $900 quote for maintenance. Brought my car to Champs for a second quote, paid half the price with double the service. Great quality and trustworthy service!
