Im sure they are good...once you can get in. Prices on a basic oil change or transmission flush are always estimates and they tend to not answer the phone to even schedule an appointment. They make it nearly impossible to support a small, local business. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere.

The Gold Wrench is the only place I will take my vehicles for repair and service. They are the most honest shop I have ever found. They have saved me thousands of dollars and their work is always excellent. They are worth driving to from anywhere in the Portland area.

On two different occasions I’ve called Gold Wrench for different vehicles. Both time Mike answered and gave me an education over the phone about what might be going on.The first time I had an older vehicle that he immediately knew what was wrong with it. I was able to go from losing power and the engine dying out to running like a change. And all it took was a piece of duct tape.The second time was for my wife’s newer grand Cherokee. He gave me some things to try before I had to tow it in. And the estimate was almost half everyone else, which for the problem is all labor costs. They just know their stuff and can get it done!!Will only return to here as well as spread the word about this solid shop!!!

Hands down, the most honest group of guys I have ever worked with. Had an issue with my truck and was told by one dealership that repairing it wasnt covered under warranty. I brought it to these guys after being recommended by friends. They diagnosed it, and the bill was going to be over $700. However, they told me it should be covered under warranty. I took it to another dealership and found out they were right.Bottom line, they had the opportunity to make money on my truck, which I would have paid. However, the integrity they showed in my situation has earned them a customer for life. Well done guys! The best shop around. They have always given GREAT service, honest and reliable, but today they went above and beyond. We had a minor issue with brake light when we went to DMV and my son was refused the driving test, that we waited 4 months for an appointment. Took my car to have a few things looked at. They fixed what they could and gave me estimates for some others. All the prices were reasonable. They were honest about some things they couldnt fix because they couldnt get enough data from the computers. They explained everything very well and there was no pressure to make a decision about the remaining repairs.

Had taken my Monte Carlo to Johns Auto (which by the way dont ever!!!) Had a bad driver side window that had been replaced 3 times at Johns Auto and after the 3rd time they said they were going to charge me for the work a second time. Took my Monte to Gold Wrench and in 2 hours it was fixed and have not ever had a problem with it! I highly recommend going here, they are knowledgeable and fair! They are by far the best automotive repair shop in all Clackamas county!!!

Great guys great place to get your vehicle fixed

First experience was blown up transmission, due to towing, regarding override, etc, that needed complete rebuild on 2004 F150. Ready to rebuild with non factory part, got estimate for repair elsewhere, not guaranteed, but decided that it was worth a few hundred bucks for Gold Wrench, and factory parts AND guarantee..in conjunction with many testimonials from Mr. Rooter, who trusts entire fleet to Mike and John, as does the police and fire department, from what I notice in the parking lot...these guys are worth every nickel...the F150 is reliable, transmission change out makes truck feel brand new...Next catastrophy, was blown up clutch in TDI Jetta, and appreciated the advice regarding aftermarket and factory parts/...time/price/value in repairs, knowledge and communication between all parties, (mom, dad, son)...Thanks you guys, appreciate the 10 years of emergency Friday night, right before holiday service! -North family
