When I need a shop for something I can take care of in my own shop at home, I go see Jon at H&I Automotive. The guys down there live up to their name Honesty and Integrity, and its why I had them perform a pre-purchase inspection on my truck before we inked the deal - every inch of the truck was inspected with an unbiased eye. Their prices are more than fair for the market and for the work being performed. I recently had two alignments done their after I put new suspension on my sons car and my truck - end results were as expected.Dont waste your time at dealerships. If you cant handle wrenching on your own, go see Jon at H&I Automotive, and he will take care of you.

Great shop. Very communicative. I like how they photograph everything as they go, and email it in real time and keep you in the loop with everything going on with or around whats wrong.

H&I is a great place to take your vehicle for service. I just dropped it off and went to play golf. After golf I was able to pick up my car with almost no waiting. The employees I met were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The cost was also much less than my dealers. Ill be back!

These folks are the real deal. They answer the phone when you call, they pay attention to what you have to say, and they do their best to fit your budget. They are truly honest and fair. I would not recommend H&I Automotive due to their pricing. Their quote was twice the price of two other quotes I received and they were going to charge an hour of labor for a part that took 5 minutes to install. Location convenience is not worth paying $200 more for the same work.

These guys are so friendly and want to help you out. They bend over backwards trying to be your advocate and find a cost effective solution to the problem. Professional people and kind hearted.

Just wanted to give huge kudos to H&I Automotive in Gilbert for their excellent customer service (Steve & John) and their awesome technicians doing the work! Our tech was Drew and it is so refreshing that they diagnosed the problem that I had in the front end of my car, and a few other things that needed to be done, gave us a quote for the work necessary to be done, and got it all done in just two hours!! I was very happy with the repairs that were done. The service writers were very kind. I also like keeping in touch with texting and the report they did on my CRV. The only problem was the $ 21.40 charge for shop supplies. Only one of the 4 things they did to my CRV would require shop supplies. I found out that the computer charges a percentage of the price of the bill for shop supplies. Ridiculous.

I live about 30 minuets from the Gilbert location and it’s worth every minute of the drive. The amazing service and friendliness I receive from Steve Buchmeier and the entire staff is unmatched to any other auto shop, and they all make you feel welcome. The staff gives you an honest opinion of your vehicle and they do what ever they can to make sure that your car is in perfect shape when it leaves. I would recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, as you know, my second visit did not go very well. I got nickel and dimed over a damn oil change of all things. When I called to make the appointment, the guy asked me if I wanted a synthetic oil change, I asked how much, and he said around $50, and I said no, that I have had this care for about 4 years not, and have never done a synthetic oil change, and no need to start now. And low and behold, guess what they did, a synthetic oil change, and about 20 percent more than what I was quoted. And then, I had a $50 rebate voucher that I could use for anything on my next visit. They did not take it, but put it in their computer system for my next visit. Wow, sorry guys, I highly doubt there will be a next visit. You got me for $1,300 on my first visit, which was a good experience, then blew it on a oil change visit. I have never seen anything like it. I will gladly take my higher end Hyundai back to the dealership any day over this experience.

Had my car detailed today and OMG it looks brand new!!! Way better than any car wash detailing I’ve ever had. Zack walked me around showing all the areas that had been cleaned, extremely thorough! Driving home my son commented how good Zack was at his job and (jaw drop) that maybe when we get home he’ll clean his room so it’ll look as nice as our car...we’ll see if that actually happens, but regardless I’m thrilled with the quality and service from H&I!

I liked the overall inspection/diagnosis. Provided photos of what needs to be fixed/repaired. I liked that you get to look at the issues at hand inside the repair shop with the service writer and/or technician prior to completing any repairs required.

I brought in my 2002 Ford F150 with quite a bit of wear and tear on multiple items. The truck ran just fine but hadnt had a tune up in years, the horn didnt work, the left rear door didnt open (Cabling was broken inside the door panel), shocks were worn out, brakes were bad and the column shifter lever was very loose and sloppy. I think there were even a couple other things that I am forgetting to mention. The service was great, they kept in constant communication throughout the process and they did not try to up sell anything during the process either. It was a little less than the quote when it was all said and done which was nice. It isnt the cheapest place in town but I am a firm believer in good customer service and you get what you pay for. I will use them again and recommend them to others if I get the chance.

Steve is unfailingly honest, and has a knack for discovering the most expeditious, effective and economical way to fix a problem. Ive entrusted my wifes, moms and kids cars to him. The Gilbert location is brand new, spotless and state-of-the-art. Ask Steve for a tour--hes pretty proud of the place, and justifiably so!

Got an oil change elsewhere and they never reset the oil change sensor I thought they didnt actually do the oil change so took it to these guys and they were graciously willing to check to see if it was actually changed in they actually reset the sensor for me free of charge would go back to these guys in a heart beat they have already shown me within one visit of being trustworthy and reasonable on prices And they have great customer service

Don’t ever use this place!! Worst customer service ever.This place did the old “bait and switch” on me. I had some work done on my 02 Sierra hd a few years ago. I originally came here because of an injector problem and they were one a few “GM certified” repair shops. Keep in mind I live over an hour away so making the decision to come to H&I was thought out. I regret my decision btw. Fast forward to this week, I have a fuel pressure problem that my local place diagnosed and quoted. The part is a very expensive part so they asked if it had ever been replaced before. I did some research and discovered that H&I had replaced it due to their own error (I forgot to mention that when they were replacing my injectors they screwed up my truck by having the positive battery contact come into contact with a number of parts including this part in question) so it should be under warranty. I called H&I and spoke to Ryan I believe, he pulled my records and said yes this part was replaced and is under warranty. I spoke to him on the phone for a few minutes to verify this would be covered if in fact this part was the problem. Ryan said yes and furthermore it’s not just the part under warranty but the labor would be covered as well. Sweet I’m thinking. So this am I drive all the way down (over an hour) and have my wife follow to drive me home. I walk in and Ryan welcomes me and says the he misspoke on the phone and the warranty isn’t what he described to me on the phone. My truck is out of warranty. Wth?!?! I just drove over an hour because of what he told me on the phone and a phone call to me prior to me taking the 70 min trek would’ve been helpful. To say I feel manipulated is an understatement! I begrudgingly left the truck with them to get a 2nd opinion and I was already there. I received a call about 2 hours later saying they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee of well over $100 to just tell me what was wrong. There’s no way I’m giving these crooks anymore of my money. I told Ryan to put my truck back together and I’ll come get it.The lack of respect these people gave me is incredible. I have never been treated like this before and will never use them again and will tell all of my contacts to avoid also.

Dropped vehicle off at approx 8:15 am after speaking with John(I think) the day before. When I arrived John talked forever and ever, he mentions alignment cost at $60 which is pretty standard so I figure thats what they will be charging me, or so I thought. Approx 2 hours elapse and I get a text with a link to the vehicle report. Two items of major concern, rear pads are 2mm and transmission fluid is too dark(Ford mercon lv). Not worried about the brakes, but the claim the fluid was bad, any mechanic knows that mercon lv darkens almost immediately and stays that way. Not impressed with the lack of knowledge. These are standard attempts for shops to do work that is not needed. When I arrived the car was parked outside so I autostarted it to cool down and went in to pay. It took forever, the invoice was locked. I let him know I went over the report and didnt need to again. He asked who was going to do all the work and I said I do it myself I just dont have an alignment machine. Then he was johnny on the spot, printed the invoice and boom a 126.00 bucks!!! It was a $60 alignment, no pricing is posted to see either. Next time Ill wait until Kelly Auto down the street has an opening in their schedule.ETA: The alignment seems to be correct after driving the vehicle.$120 will give you an entire year coverage if there is an alignment issue they will check and adjust as needed. This is a great value for anyone.
