Very thorough and top notch car wash. They use real hot wax that you can see coming down as you go through. Car paint has never looked better. Place is way better than Jax and I love supporting a local business.

I will never come back here again. I asked for the basic wash and to clean the brake dust off my rims. I get this service everything I come here. The young lady told me “we do not do that unless you tips us” how professional smh. I called to talk to the manager they said “he’s busy in the tunnel”. I wouldn’t use this place seems like kids are running this place. Heaven forbid if you ask for a manager you will never get one to talk to. I pulled off and went to the $5 wash on grand river In down town Farmington.

Went in for a car wash today at Colonial only to have my driver side mirror ripped clean off while going through the wash. It happened to at least 2 other cars before mine and it was the exact same problem - huge scratches on the driver side door and the driver side mirror ripped clean off. Beware of this place because it could end up costing you more than the price of the car wash.Update: The owner of the place called me today and took care of everything in terms of the repairs. I will now change my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star due to this fact. I cannot give 5 stars because it still annoys me that it happened in the first place.

Went for a car wash cause there was so much ice and dirt build up in the wheel wells, I couldnt drive properly (seriously!) and they got it all out. They even took the magnetic bumper sticker off the back of the car which I had forgotten about. There was a strange plastic wrapper over the back wiper blade when I left? Not sure what that was about. Qualify $8 car wash. Did the job.

I went here last night because it is on my home from work and it was what was most convenient, but I am so glad I did. First, it was a longer and more detailed car wash then any other drive thru one I have been through, and I only paid for the basic one! Secondly, the Christmas Decorations made me SO HAPPY, that that alone will bring me back! I told my husband he needs to go before Christmas is over so that he can see the decorations. Who knew a car wash would go all out for Christmas? In 2020 its the little things that bring us unexpected joy, right?! I even asked my husband for a coupon book in my stocking because I like this car wash so much. (I am in no way a car wash enthusiast, by the way haha).

Best Car wash in town. Excellent service and friendly staff. The “Works” is my go to service here! It’s also worth mentioning that the vacuum’s are powerful and kept in good repair, so as to not mess up your carpets or leather seating when using them.

Very well kept place, everything looked spotless inside. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there was a lot of water left on my mirrors and rear windows after the wash.

They damaged my back windshield wiper by putting the plastic bag on too roughly. When I called to let them know I was immediately met with a rude attendant who only got worse. Used to like this place but not so much anymore.

Very nice car wash. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. This is more expensive but there is a noticeable difference in how clean your car is. They also have the blow dryers and not the dryers that roll along your car to dry it like most others in the area. If you have a nice car, I wouldnt hesitate to take it here. 4 stars due to the price.

Good wash Service but more expensive than other around the area. Most places dont charge for vacuum but here they do, and it is timed so may end up spending a lot if you have a lot to vacuum.

Asked for my vehicle to be re-washed because the car wash didnt do a good job the first time around. She had asked me about what time that I came in. I told her that I had came in a few hours ago and couldnt come back. She says that she couldnt honor a re-wash because I was gone too long and had collected a lot of salt on the bottom of my vehicle. I told her that that wasnt my concern. My concern was that my side and the back of the vehicle was still dirty. She says sorry, I can not honor it and that is nothing that she can do. I have never have had that happen to me before. After all, I spent $15 on a car wash. She did not care. She was not even the manager. She was just a person working there. SMH.

They pre-rinse the cars to keep the equipment clean--its the least swirly swirl-o-matic Ive ever visited. Ive taken a Corvette through and it didnt bottom out on the rails. Highly recommended.

Its a decent car wash!

Took my Expedition EL thru a Wax & Wheels wash a few weeks ago. After the wash, the rocker panels still had road grime on them and the back was very dirty. Pulled back around and the team lead running the wash lectured me saying that I needed a de-greaser from an auto store to get the stuff off my rocker panels. Really? I showed him the back and he admitted it was still dirty and theyd run me thru again. The workers spent a little effort with the spray wands on the rocker panels and miraculously were able to get the grease off. They didnt spend anytime on the rear so the back of the car didnt look any better after the 2nd time thru.

This place used to be good went downhill and they charge way too much nowadays

Lived in this area for many years/couldnt seem to find decent car wash UNTIL I visited here. Costs a little more than your $3 wash BUT WELL WORTH IT...HATE having to wash my car myself after running through a $3 wash/NOT the case here. Theyll make it right 👍

Grew up in Farmington going to Colonial never knowing any other car wash. Im now out in South Lyon and there isnt another car wash within 30mins that can even hold a candle to Colonial. Hands down the best Ive been able to find ANYWHERE!

Came through car wash , asked the girl 3x if they’re able to get bugs off, she says “yeah yeah we can get those off we have a bug spray we use” we proceed to pay the $13 to go through... come out and it did t even look like the car had been washed. So we then pull around again and show her and she starts rubbing a spot with her finger and says “ oh those won’t come off,” And then 2 guys came out of the wash bay and said the same thing. So I advise the manager to clarify with his employees that if your car wash isn’t going to get the bugs off then they need to tell customers that. The girl spoke up and said “ I didn’t know they weren’t gonna come off” ..... MY POINT EXACTLY!!! IF YOU DONT KNOW , THEN TELL THE CUSTOMER YOU DONT KNOW!! Don’t sit and reassure us 3xs that the bugs will come off.Also the vacuums are useless!! They had no suction. And we had to go over my car 2xsThis is nothing but a glorified $3 car wash!! Not worth the price they charge

Well. Don’t come here if you have any rust on your vehicle. I have some rust by my back tire and they refused to let me go through because the rust “might damage the equipment” well okay then! Can’t speak to their car wash quality itself but I found that comment very odd. Never heard that before.
