Eric, the current owner, bought the Farmington Car Wash in 2006 and has transformed this small local business. Having lived in the area six years prior to his taking ownership, we’ve watched the renovations and are thrilled to have this facility nearby, saving us previous drives into Apple Valley or other neighboring towns to get a good car wash.The Farmington Car Wash, located on Hwy 3 just north of the Dairy Queen, lets you choose between both do-it-yourself car wash bays and Typhoon automatic touch-less car washes to keep our vehicles clean and pristine looking. We keep coming back here because “clean and well-kept” matter to us and clearly it does to the owner too. He is always very pleasant and helpful.Its 3 bay self-serve wash means that we seldom have to wait. I also like that his vacuums have sufficient strength to get into deep corners within the car. The doors, washing tracks, brushes, and pay stations – all have been upgraded. We rely on the washes good pressure, can easily manage the brush, and it makes an easy transition to the rinse cycle. There is sufficient space for vans, boats and trucks to get around on all sides during a self-serve car wash. If I’m washing the car in low-light hours, it’s nice to have a sense of security because the property is digitally recorded 12/7.Eric requests that the bays are NOT used to clean super muddy vehicles – and I for one, appreciate this. It means that the rest of us can consistently count of clean, functional, and pleasant bays. There is a handy vending area where we can purchase snacks and drinks as well as basic car care products.Eric is consistently on hand tending the stations and working on equipment to keep everything in tip-top shape. I highly recommend this place and supporting our local Farmington, MN business owners.

I enjoy going to this car wash. It always does a good job and doesnt rip pieces off my trim or knock my mirrors back like other car wash locations do.

This is the best place to possibly go for self-service car wash I absolutely love this place I make the drive all the time!!! Every time!!! Very well priced!!! A lot of vacuums on busy days!!! And open 24 hours!!! Thats the best part!!!

We washed our ATV’s and got it to muddy for his liking even though it was muddy before we got there. Instead of turning off the pressure washer he closed and locked the door, with a 15 year old kid inside there at 98 degrees outside. He refused to open the doors until I cleaned his bay out and told me he would call the cops on me if I didn’t clean it.

Easy in and out. Very well maintained. Several times Ive seen the owner there cleaning things up and handing interior cleaning wipes to those waiting in line!

Great self service wash, I use to go to Sparkle car wash in Lakeville but after 6 out of 8 bays were broken or filthy I said no more. Ive been coming here for over a year and have never been had issues like in Lakeville

Its a bit of a wait for automated. But you can take a bay for yourself to clean. Prices are average. There is a monthly special. I usually go to another place. But this is convenient

The wash is fine, but had some problems in the self serve. Put it on “Spot Free” and it looks like soap is coming out, and it DEFINITELY was not spot free. The Air Shamee is deafening!

Not very busy ever and has great wash bays. Only wish it wasnt so expensive to wash my car. Rinse dirt off, soap brush, spot free rinse=$8.50 but at the same time it is cheaper than an automatic wash and I can do a much better job!!

Has good pressure for the wash and rinse, but issues with the brush! 2/3s the way done with the brush it blew apart in my hands and had to hold it together to even try to finish. Ultimately had to give up and do a quick rinse and finish at home. Yay $8 for a pre wash! Told the owner and he said, Oh sorry about that. Well sorry I wont be coming back glad Rosemont has one right up the road.

We did the $12 automatic wash today. I thought an underbody spray was included but I didnt see or hear it. The cleaning was excellent but I need the underbody spray to remove the salt.Update: Thanks for response! Understood and appreciated!

Can clean my car for $5 and one of the best features is that you dont need quarters!!! You can just swipe your credit card with your car and once youve pushed the stop button it only charges you for the time you used. Super slick!!

Kinda needs some cleaning up to do, some out door buttons to open the gates would be nice so I dont need to get out of my car every time to pull up

It is ok. You can do automatic or get a bay to wash yourself. Wait per car is approximately 4 to 6 minutes. Depends on amount paid. Its on Hwy 3 beside the Dairy bar. Or Queen. Take a card with.

I had trouble using a credit card option to wash my motorcycle. It was my fault, but it didnt seem like the wash was working, so I swiped it a couple more times and I was finally able to wash the bike. Then I noticed my account got hit for 3 entries. I called the Farmington Car Wash number and left my name and number. I got a call back and the owner promptly refunded 2 of the 3 entries. Hes a good guy and totally did right by me. In fact, I think I came out a couple dollars ahead. Of course Ill be back. Also, read the instructions (better than I did) and the credit card payment option is very convenient and works fine.

Never seemed too impressed with underbody wash on any automatic carwash but this wash doesnt even appear to have any way to wash salt from under your car yet 3 of the 4 wash options claim to have this.

Well maintained, clean and outfitted with the newest wash technologies. I especially like the handheld airjet hose for drying, its a perfect wash bay for a cruiser bike!

$13.00 for a car wash in the automatic bay. Still had ice and snow all over. Wheel wells still packed with snow. Pretty sure it was a waste of money to try and remove the road salt:(

The self-serve equipment is effective and for the most part, not outdated. However, as I have seen repeatedly at other car washes in this state (Im originally from Ohio) is that the pressure washer has no protection on it to prevent damaging your car. The entire wand is exposed metal, and will absolutely destroy your paint job if you accidentally drop it on your car from fatigue (not all that uncommon if youre holding it with one hand and retaining the hose from hitting your car in the other.) My suggestions for your business? Replace these wands with car-safe ones, fix your drainage issues (theyre full of mud for goodness sake) and fix the leaky hoses.. I wash our cars very frequently and will go out of my way to find the best facility, but living in Farmington I would prefer to go here. A little investment will go a long way!

Awesome self service car wash.

Rather than a pay x amount for x minutes, you just swipe your card and wash. Once you are done, it will calculate how much time you used and how much to charge you. No more having to stop to rush and add more $$ to get more time. It also has a giant blow dryer that seems like it was from the movie space balls to dry your car yourself.
