It’s really hard to trust auto mechanics nowadays especially the shops but this shop in particular was very helpful very honest I own a dodge charger and a BMW and I’ve been bringing my vehicles to the shop specifically for the past four years and they’ve always diagnosed and fixed every problem with my car they do nothing but great and excellent work I highly recommend their expertise they get the thing done. Whatever problem you have whether it being electrical engine diagnostics or even your simple oil change you can know that getting it done with them you feel it’s getting done the right way the first time and your car is being well-maintained I definitely trust him with my vehicles 100% Highly recommend shop for all your car needs

After moving from San Diego to Escondido, I had to go find a new auto repair shop near me and Performance Auto Care had the best reviews. My first visit there was to fix a battery light issue on dash and Tony was very professional, friendly, and honest with his estimate and assessment. Im in the process of restoring my 04 Acura RSX and him and his team have been nothing short of excellent. My car still needs some cosmetic work but is running better than it was when it was brand new and stock and now has some upgraded components. Ive probably given him a lot of business the past few weeks but I dont regret it one bit. Really glad I found this place and would totally recommend taking your car here for all your auto repair needs!

I have been taking my car here for regular maintenance for about 5 years. You cant beat the price, customer service or quality of work!Tony is absolutely wonderful. He is patient, helpful and honest. He takes such ownership in the work done and customer service provided. So much so, that up until my most recent visit I always just assumed he was the owner. My car had 4 new tires when I bought it. After front tires showed inside edge wear I purchased alignment at Performance Auto Care ($130) and rotated bad tires to the back. 3 weeks later I had the same inside edge wear on the front tires. Now 4 bad tires on car. Performance Auto Care agreed to check alignment again. This time I watched. Tech made adjustment and went for a drive and then hooked up to alignment machine again and did second adjustment to same spot (right front). I asked tech about this and he replied the alignment changed after he drove the car. So I said, then it will change again when I drive it? Tech said yes. Went up to service desk to get my keys and Sammy said everything was fine now. After I told him about the problem the tech told me about he told me I got a free second alignment and car is fine nothing else to do. Then as I was leaving I overheard Sammy reprimand tech, Thats why you never talk to customers! Sammy appears ok with lying straight to my face.I went to a second alignment shop the next day, and they said my car was fine, except the alignment was set incorrectly. I purchase alignment and showed Performance Auto Care the receipt. They offered me a free oil change but would not refund me for their defective alignment service.Performance Auto Care ruined my 2 good tires, couldnt get my alignment done properly, and Sammy lied straight to my face. And no refund.

This place is by far one of the most reliable and honest shops Ive encountered. I have a 2011 Mustang, and made an appointment for an all around brake change, transmission fluid change and AC maintenance. I know for a fact everything was properly changed because my car has tells. Was extremely satisfied with price and time it took to complete job. Would definitely recommend.

Needed a quick oil change and found these guys. I buy my own oil and filters but got tired of changing my own oil so decided to give them a try after reading the other positive reviews. They were quick, honest, friendly, and inexpensive. $12 for my oil change and was done in 10-15 minutes. Plus they told me if I referred someone, they wouldnt even charge me the $12 bucks! They also topped off the washer fluid and checked the air in the tires while I was there. Definitely going back!1/18/13 Been back twice and still very happy! Last time was just an oil change, this time was an oil change and tire rotation which they didnt charge me for! Theyve been able to start on my car right away all 3 times. Definitely recommend these guys and definitely going back!

Our car needed a replacement key and cylinder and the Kia dealer wanted $800 and they had to order the part which would take 3 days. We have 1 car between 3 people and that timeline didnt work. We called them and they got us in and rebuilt the cylinder and gave us 2 new keys for $250. They even offered a rental car but the gentleman in front of us got the last one! The service was quick, cheap and we are now customers for life! Thank you so much!

Just got new tires put on and an alignment and my car feels so much smoother now and they washed it too!!! The work these folks do come 2nd to none. Mechanics are professional and skilled, and FRIENDLY and HELPFUL! My car suddenly had some unknown engine issues when I was driving back to Los Angeles. I was told it might take at least two hours for the diagnosis. Concerned, scared of being in somewhere I dont even know, I became really anxious, keeping asking mechanics what should I do. They comforted me to have a sit, and had a professional check my car real quick. I only waited for around 30 minutes in total then they told me that I was good to go. Problem fixed and I could make my way back to L.A.!Isnt it magic? Oh, they also explained how to maintain the car and everything else to me. So, definitely recommend there if you do want your car out of trouble!

Im really disappointed in this place, they lied to my face. I came here multiple times, for routine things. The techs and the front desk seemed really nice. But, last time I was there for an oil change they recommended that I my brakes were in serious condition, and to get my front and rear rotors and pads replaced. ~$630. No measurements provided (which is illegal in CA by the way). I took my car to another shop and had them do a brake inspection. I watched them measure everything. Rotors and pads were in good shape.What pisses me off is that I gave them the benefit of the doubt-- once had an oil change that took an hour and a half. Sometimes the multipoint inspections wouldnt be filled out all the way. Twice they had forgotten that I had an appointment. Whatever, Ill let it pass. And then they lie to my face on a ~$630 transaction. Disgusting really. Please dont go here.

Best service ever!! Went in late Sunday with whole brake failure and wheel bearing going out and they took amazing care of me. They knew I needed my Nissan Titan asap and had told me they will have it done by my lunch the next day cuz they were almost closing since it was a Sunday and they called and let me know it was done around 9:30 in the morning and they cleaned my aftermarket air filter and through in a oil change for free since I had to wait over night! Ill be taking my truck back there for everything else I need in the future! Great customer service and they didnt kill me on the labor price! The guy tony took great care of my truck and made everything so quick and easy for me!! Thanks guys

The team at Performance Auto Care are definitely top notch.My most recent trip inspired me to write this review as it was very much deserving of my praise.I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have my drivers side power door lock checked (it wasnt moving with the car alarm click or the in-cab power lock switch).After leaving my car with them for about five hours, they called me and let me know that they could not figure out what was causing my power lock to not actuate and directed me to a car electrician for help. They also let me know that they do not feel that it would be a good idea for me to rotate my tires as they were already in bad shape.When I arrived to pick up my car, they only charged me around $30. That is insanely cheap for five hours of labor, but it turns out that they werent going to charge me for the diagnostics they performed on the door lock seeing as they couldnt 100% figure out why it wasnt working. They also didnt charge me for a tire rotation since they didnt actually perform one.After bringing my car home, I noticed that the car alarm wasnt arming. It would actuate the passenger door lock, but it wouldnt actually arm the alarm. I could open the door and start the car with no problems even though the car alarm should be on.I brought it back to Performance Auto Care (after getting the door lock fixed at the car electrician) and let them know what was wrong and they said they would take it in and take a look at what happened. They (and I) assumed that something was simply unplugged. Again, they couldnt figure out what was wrong after another five hours and told me that they will send it to the car electrician themselves and have him fix it.Once it was fixed, I went back down the repair shop to pick up my car and they said that none of this was charged to me. 10 hours of labor and an outside consultation (a huge hit to their overall profits for this pay period) and they just did the right thing instead of making any kind of attempt to have me recoup their costs.I dont see this kind of good honest work often enough and I felt that I needed to let you all know.If you need your car checked out, send your car to Performance Auto Care. I likely wont be sending mine to anyone else.

These guys are great. Ive dropped a couple grand over the last couple years. Everything from breaks rotators wheel bearings and radiators. They have always given me the price before they start the work. They give a better Warrenty then the dealership gives. Make sure you talk to Sammy. Hes always been straight with me and never told me to fix something that wasnt needed.

I came in for an oil change at 11am on a Wednesday morning. They said it would take 45 minutes, so I asked to come back later because I didnt want to wait that long. I came back at 3pm and it took over an hour for a simple oil change. They said its because they had a guy call out sick that day. Thats fine but they should have told me that when I came back the second time. I have a small baby waiting at home and am super annoyed. In the bright side, the staff members were very courteous, if a little stressed.

Honestly by far the best place ive found around the area, this was my first time there and couldnt be more amazed and satisfied with their work. I called in the morning and was planning on my vehicle being there all day and not even 3 hours later it was done and ready to go. Now i would like to get to the pricing, you couldnt get anymore fair and honest pricing than this honestly my vehicle being a BMW always gets high estimates and its hard to find an honest shop that charges the right amount. Hands down please give them a visit and trust in their abilities and services they know what they are doing and im happy to say i found myself a new shop to take care of my car.

I drive a 2004 Honda Civic and have had recurring trouble with the cooling system, so much that the oil was burning up. Tony was able to replace the whole system for less than I thought and in only an hour, and some weeks later even honored the warranty when the problem came back. Lost a returning customer. 3 previous good experiences smog, brake job, etc... things took longer than quoted but thats most shops. however when my car wouldnt turn on, first called them & was told not to worry & that they will try to disable the alarm since thats we suspected the issue was. towed there & explained the issue to them again & signed the agreement for 95$ charge without reading it & 4 hours later they called saying it needs a new chip key/fob & gave me an estimate for 470$(dealer charges 300$ - locksmith 180$). went there & told them the locksmith had told me how to disable the alarm & possibly get it started (since thats what they were originally going to do & why i took it there) but was told they cant do that because it might damage something which might be true but why then tell me youre going to try & do it & then say the exact opposite. so 95$ later, had it towed back to my house & locksmith did it for mmmmuch cheaper. lesson of the day is go over what your mechanic will be doing when you arrive & dont just sign for them to look at it & say oh its not working & here is a crazy estimate.

They will work with warranty companies to get the most out of of the contract, and the service advisors are friendly and honest. Mechanics work quickly to take care of repairs and get you back on the road. Got a quote for a tranny flush from EZ Lube for $199 - these guys did it for $69. Impressive service and I am sure to use them again.

I went in for a check engine light code for turbo underboost. One shop told me I had a bad valve which would have been a couple hundred bucks. Performance changed my air filter and solved the problem. On another visit they troubleshot down to a bad relay instead of writing me up for a whole new fuel pump. They also give 25$ off diagnostics for military!
