Tonya and Nick are phenomenal at cutting hair. I highly recommend them both. If your looking for a top notch fade. Then this place is for you. The barbershop is very welcoming, clean, great music, easy online booking and has a homely feel to it. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

I went to OEC Barbers yesterday for the first time and I will be back! Ive found a new barber in Nick. It may be the first time that Ive ever gone to a barber and explained what I wanted and got EXACTLY what I asked for! Nicks listening skills and attention to detail are top notch! (something often missing is customer service today) Couldnt be happier!Although I dont know much about womens haircuts, I was there for the entire cut that Tonya, the other stylist, gave to a woman that came in with long thick hair. The woman seemed to absolutely love it.Id say Ellicott City has a new gem of a small local business. Do yourself a favor and support them :)

Nick started exactly on time, listened carefully to what we wanted for my little guy’s first professional haircut and then worked efficiently to deliver a stylish yet sensible cut that will grow out into the shape we want. My son felt like such a big boy there, as the design aesthetic of the shop is hipster suburban (think: skateboard decks, industrial lighting, early aughts rock music). The price was equivalent to what you would pay at a middle to upscale barber but less than, say, the now extinct Jaxon Edwin, where you pay double! We will definitely be back.

Nick is the man to know when it comes to a clean cut! Super glad I’ve met him since moving here from Philadelphia. Would recommend him to anyone!

My husband and I used to get our hair cut at Jaxon Edwin, and decided to continue with Nick & Tonya once they opened their own business, OEC Barbers. We love supporting a locally owned business, and they always do a great job. My husband had tried a bunch of different places before finding Nick, and Nick has done the best job, by far, at cutting and styling his hair. We recommended them to some of our local family who now go there as well and are just as happy!

Love this place! The space is nice and cozy and the staff made me feel welcomed and safe during this pandemic. You dont find many places where you can walk in and meet the owners and actually fist bump them (because hand shakes are a thing of the past). I love Nick, Tonya, and the other barbers here. I followed them from Jaxon Edwin because of the fantastic attention to detail, service, and professionalism they provide. As of this writing, Ive been a custom of Nicks for just about 2 years. Through that time, hes been responsive, professional, and I cant recommend them more highly.

Honestly its a small shop and they act like its a small shop. Its not a bad thing to be a small shop but there is for sure a lack of professionalism. That being said he was very friendly.The gentleman who cut my hair really had no idea what he was doing with my hair. I tried to explain what I wanted and ended up leaving with a haircut I still dont like. Unfortunately only time can fix too much being cut off. I dont plan to be back but wanted to leave an honest review since I use these reviews for trying to find good places and if youre reading this you probably do too.My honest opinion is if your hair is easy to work with and you rarely have issues with barbers, they will do a good job. If youre like me and have a list of issues your hair creates for every barber who touches your hair and struggle to find genuinely good ones then maybe avoid this place. I am picky with my hair but anticipate when paying $30+ to be able to get a decent hair cut.

Great small shop that keeps it simple and offers you a drink while you wait. My hair is thick and problematic and Nick looked at my hair like Michelangelo looking at a block of marble and seeing David.....and not the biblical figure, but David Lynch (arguably the greatest hair in cinema). He thinned it....he did something called a “razor cut” and made me look ready to direct a modern masterpiece of Surrealism. Go here if you need a quick trim or if you want to look like a God of Cinema.Also, love the review below where the dude admitted his hair was difficult and just wandered into a place once and then ripped them apart online. It’s a two-way street...communication is key. Barbers are like therapists. You have to try out a few before you find the right one and you have to be honest.Also, I locked my keys in the car and one of the ladies did that clothes hanger trick...and it worked. I think she worked there.

I’m really excited this place opened in Old Ellicott City! Today was my first visit since they opened and I’m incredibly impressed. Super clean shop (in general and they sanitize everything between clients), great prices and you get a drink along with your haircut :) This was my first time changing my hair style in over 10 years and Nick did a great job making it fun and look great! This will be my new go to place!

Cool, new barber in Old Ellicott City. They do a good job with attention to detail. The barber were in a now closed shop that had Gordon Ramsey visit. Definitely glad that I found these folks again.
