First time coming to this place and found my new nail shop.. They are beautiful people and even though I was giving them hard time (Im so sorry) they still were nice never lost their cool. Jen took care my needs and made my natural nail look beautiful. 😍 Thank you all for been so patient with me. Great team they have.

Bang & Jen are highly professional and skillful, but their services arent cheap! If you like perfectly artistic nails and are prepared to pay the cost, look no further!

I am updating my previous review after I posted what happened I had a very prompt response from bang and Jen and they invited me to come back after vacation and fix it. I came in today and the owner himself not only fixed my nails and did not charge me for them but did a filll and gave me very personal service. This is what customer service should be and they have won me as a permanent customer by how professionally and respectfully I have been treated. I highly recommend this establishment. I will add that while two of my nails broke and one split all the rest of them held up very well through two weeks of being in and out of the water in Aruba. If you want to go someplace where your nails will not come off in a week definitely come to bang and Jen your nails will stay on a long time and they will look good.

EDIT:Went back and got an SNS dip manicure because they highly recommended that’s what I get next time I come in. I get it. They are very poorly done, no attention to detail, and not even two days later they are chipping. I’m very disappointed. Do NOT get SNS from them.— — —Small space. Very minimal. But talent supersedes everything. My nails were perfection after leaving. I will be coming back!

I’ve been getting my nails done at BangNJen for almost four years and I recommend them so much. I get my nail inspo from Instagram and TikTok and anyone there can make it happen based on the picture. I always get SNS dip since they make my nails stronger and last longer. I usually do gel polish designs or acrylic paint if I have any for that time. I do chip my nails or break them occasionally in between my appointments since I’m a very active person or it happens when I’m picking something but if I let them know, they’re happy to fix that one nail. I only go once a month and depending on the design and whatever sport I’m playing, they last! I love how small and boutique the shop is, and I will continue to go, because they make my nail visions come true. I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my nails each time I get them done. I’m so glad I found them on Google when I first moved into the area. I have since moved closer to DC, but I still go to BangNJen for my nails. I’m personally not experienced with acrylic sets because I was blessed with good nail genes and don’t need the length, but coming from someone who grew up with family in the nail industry, I recognize a good place, with good and talented people. I have been getting my nails done here for a little over 3 years now and I RARELY go anywhere else. I am very particular about my nails and tend to have very creative ideas which can be daunting for some nail technicians. However, BANGNJEN always delivers, sometimes surpassing my expectations. My last appointment was with Amanda and I have to say this is my favorite set yet. I am very stingy when it comes to telling people where I go for my nails. But with this set, I’ve been forced to tell everyone that asks because Amanda deserves the recognition! 10/10 would recommend :)

This place is gross. They ask you to turn the water off because they are too busy doing other stuff to be attentive. The owner will stop the service he is in the middle of to answer the phone which I find extremely unprofessional. They dont use clean tools, I got a small infection 3 days after getting my nails done. They do gel pedicures under the manicure tables which is weird and uncomfortable. They destroyed my nails making half of them thin and brittle. Probably one of the worst experiences Ive ever had.

The store was neat and modern looking. I am always satisfied with my experience and nails every time I go there. The workers are friendly and very professional with their work. My nails ended up being better than what I originally show them or have in mind. This is my go-to spot.

The only salon that trust to get it right!! I have followed Bang & Jen from their old location and have they have serviced my nails for over a decade. Everyone in the salon is highly skilled and they all have serviced me at one point or another.A few tips: the salon is by appointment only, so save yourself a trip and make sure you call ahead to see if they have availability. They do require a deposit, but it gets deducted from your services at the time of your appointment. Getting some nail art is a MUST! They are a bit pricey but as most things in life, you pay for what you get!

Very nice place! Extremely clean and stylish interior. The exterior doesn’t do this place justice. I got my very first gel acrylic manicure done and fell in Love! Jen did my nails and she’s really sweet! She doesn’t talk a whole bunch which I like! Some nail technicians talk way too much. Both her and Bang are really cool and hip! I love my nails 😍.

I think it’s odd that they take a non-refundable deposit over the phone. This would have been my first visit. They have their policies listed on their website, however it’s such a strange practice. It’s not even clear from their website as to whether the deposit goes toward the services. The person who answered the phone sounded unfriendly and it’s really disappointing considering the overall great reviews.Update - after the owner’s response I’m still not convinced. I still think it’s odd for a nail salon to have such a policy and request payment over the phone prior to services being rendered. It’s a turn-off for first-time customers.

Excellent service!!! The staff was so nice and personable! The did an excellent job on my nails! They do great designs! The shop was very clean and neat. The spa was up to date and very welcoming. The location is convenient with good parking! The pricing was fair! Bring a cash tip though! Their machine cant add tips to your card.

They do an amazing job here. They have everything, dip powder, chrome polish, cat eye polish, pixie crystals, ECT. The pricing is extremely reasonable. Just make sure you call plenty of time in advance, appointments fill up fast, and require a $25 deposit that goes towards the price of your nails. And make sure you bring cash for the tip! I highly recommend coming here. I cant stress enough what a phenomenal job they do!

First time here, I liked my experience. My mom and my nails cost $185 in total, pretty pricy but worth it. Kinda hard to find this type of salon in here. They do NOT have a template, you could check out their Instagram, the tell them which one you want. Only down side is that salon smells very bad, they need to improve their ventilation system, my mom said she has a mild headache after she gets her nails done.

I hate giving bad reviews but I have to for this one. I came on wanting to have a gel designs. Not just did they rush the entire time but they didn’t even take time to make sure the design was accurate. I spent 75$ on my nails and a total of 145$ that day on my other family members nails that I paid as well. My nails turned out sloppy and shaped funky. Some of the nails applied are even Cricked. I definitely do not recommend this place worse 145$ I’ve ever spent

Ive found my spirit nail salon! Yes, it can get a little pricy but you get what you pay for and I dont mind! Ive been helped by both Bang and Jen and have never been let down. Dont let the pricing scare you, they know what theyre doing in here!!

I found Bangnjen by accident I saw Jen nails at a church I attended and instantly asked her where did she get her nails done, she replied herself..may I asked where do you work at, she said she owned the salon called Bangnjen. I have been a fan since then. Their design is so different not your normal old school line work or flowers. Theyre a little pricey but my nails are always on point, no chip, no breakages for weeks. I get my nails refills every 5 weeks because of all the intricated designs i want is a little pricey. The shop is kept clean and spotless. I highly recommend them. They are very honest people that bent backward for their clients.

I am very pleased with my experience here!!First thing first they use autoclaves to sterilize all of their equipment. That is the top priority for me especially with nails! Secondly I had made an appointment same day and was running late due to unexpected circumstances and they still fit the two of us in with top notch quality service!I recommend them for all services!Great job Vickie!

For $125 for liquid gel the girl did a subpar job. She kept having to put more layers of gel on top of the nail even after she had started filing with the drill. Ive had liquid gel done by others before and it has never taken this long, cost this much, or been done this way.I asked if they could do a tortoise shell design on my nail and they were trying to teach my nail tech how to do it while she was doing my nails. For as much money as they charge, they should be experts in whatever theyre doing. Would not recommend and would not go back.

Finding a good nail salon is almost impossible nowadays. I think I’ve hit the jackpot finding BANGNJEN! The atmosphere is nice, the conversations with Bang will always have you laughing. Amanda’s attention to detail on my nails is a welcomed change from other salons I’ve gone to in the past. I just moved and needed a new nail place. I found this one from Google as it was closest to my house. Oh my goodness, it rocks! I had a great manicure! They suggested a gel nail color for me and I love it! They did a great job and I will definitely be going back!

Got my nails filled after a terrible experience at another salon, needless to say I will definitely be coming back again! My nails look and feel amazing and I left feeling pampered and repaired. Ok, let me start with the positive. My pedicure was great! Then I decided to get a dip manicure....Not good. Today my cuticles are red and tender. I can not even wash my hands without it stinging. And some spots are even bleeding.

I am so glad that I found this salon! Bang and Jen are some of the nicest and most talented nail technicians Ive ever known. I drive over an hour to get my nails done with no complaints. My only regret is not finding them sooner.

Since I have started coming to BANGNJEN, my nails have never looked this good and I continue to receive compliments even when I am overdue to get them redone. Out of all the nail salons that claim greatness, BANGJEN are the most consistent. They arent the cheapest or the easiest to get appointments with but if you are looking for unique quality work, this place is a must visit!

The nail techs were nice, but it costs WAY too much for the work they did. i got dip powder nails and its obvious where they put the tips on, and when they were using the drill, it hurt SO BAD even when i kept telling them. one nail popped off after a week and now my natural nail is bleeding very badly. not to mention it smells so bad in there. will not be coming here ever again

I got a full set of acrylics and was very dissatisfied. They were not all the same length or shape. The thickness of the acrylic was not good. I went back after 1 week because I was so unhappy with the shape. They barely filed them and just repainted them. They seem more about quantity over quality. Both experiences were very hurried. The work on my nails did not reflect their Instagram pictures. I really wanted to love this place.

Absolutely love them! Each time I go I am never disappointed. They make each costomer feellike family. Also they have a wide range of polishes and powders to use on your nails so what ever you show them,they will have.

I love the ambiance...the pedicure is to die for the chair has massages in the back, it is not to hard like the old fashion one. Their gel manicure last me about three week...Jen and Bang is a great duet! very friendly and professional.

As quick as I was politely greeted, I was politely dismissed... no wherr does it notify customers appointment only. I walked in around 4:50pm and they close at 8pm. I was asked whether I was getting regular polish or gel. I am a regular polish kind of gal and I guess they didnt want my regular money.....Walk-ins beware. ..

I have been going to Jen and Bang for years and I refuse to go anywhere else. They provide excellent service and are also very friendly and interact with their customers. This is NOT a salon where you will be talked about in a foreign language. Go there once and you wont go anywhere else again. I get solid colors but I have seen many designs Bang has done and to call them phenomenal is an understatement. Seriously.

I was a customer for many years until they didn’t honor their word. I purchased a gift card while back for my wife (which was misplaced). Bang remembered me purchasing it but Jen wouldn’t take my word for it. I was told if we found the gift card they would honor it. A year later my wife found the card, booked an appointment and when she arrived with it Jen told her that she couldn’t use it because they switched over to a “new system”. Funny part about the gift card clearly stated does not expire and you would have thought they would honor something we paid for. My wife would have spent more money that day and they lost a loyal customer. That’s not a way to treat a customer. I hope it was worth the $35 you kept...

Clean and fair prices. Go during the week and not close to holidays because it can get busy! You can walk in but its best to make appointment.

I never leave bad reviews but I had to be honest in this situation. One of the male nail techs took me in last minute which I appreciated, however my experience at bangnjen was not pleasant at all. I just moved to the area and wanted to find a good local nail tech to start going to. I was disappointed because my service was 100% rushed. The gel polish application was very thick and sloppy. And to top it off he told me it was $35 for gel polish and $35 for pedicure but charged me an additional $10 when I was checking out. There was also a female nail tech who was complaining about her clients the whole time I was getting my nails done. Never going back.
