Ill preface this by saying Ive not always been the most keen on going to the dentist and maintaining my mouth health with check-ups/cleanings over the years but Ramanpreet S. Nanra DMD has given me a whole new perspective.I am a sleep teeth grinder and at 27 it finally caught up to me by causing a fracture in the bottom back left tooth, which led to infection, requiring a root canal. Terrifying. Ive never had major invasive surgery before, let alone being awake for the procedure. I was honestly thinking of forgoing treatment and taking my chances. I am so happy I opted for the right treatment of receiving my root canal and couldnt have been happier with the results. No pain, amazing temporary crown, and finally a perfectly fitted crown that matches the color and size of my teeth!Now that Ive talked about how great Dr. Nanra was/is, I would be doing an injustice if I didnt mention how phenomenal the rest of the staff is! Bianca was among the first people my nervous, pain ridden, wreck of a self met and talked to and through her incredible knowledge and cheeky humor, I felt as though I was talking with someone Ive known for a while and definitely set my mind at ease and allowed me to relax and fully absorb the information I was receiving. She is such an asset to the team and I hope everyone gets to experience her as I have. Another amazing staff member is the gal who helped go over my insurance information, payment options, and financial questions. She was knowledgeable, accommodating, and understanding of my financial situation as I dont have insurance at the time of this post. Also! A huge congratulations to her for completing her nursing program and being able to pursue her dreams and attain her goals!Overall 11/10 would definitely come again and recommend to anyone looking for a caring team with exceptional skills in the dental field.

Love everything about this practice! The entire staff is professional and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Nanra gives you his attention and is always ready to answer your questions and concerns. Big plus...he is really good at giving shots and has a gentle touch. I would highly recommend them!!

Being a new patient and havent being seen by a dentist in about four years I was slightly nervous yet eager for my appointment. I was welcomed into the office without a long wait and friendly staff. My dental hygienist, Ha, made me feel comfortable and thoroughly explained everything she did with great suggestions. The dentist was awesome. Real down to earth and gave me a great treatment plan. I would highly recommend them!!!

I have been going to this dental office from long time. The front desk staff is always pleasant, and the quality of service provided by the dentists and hygienists is excellent. The dentists never suggest procedures that are not necessary. If you have a particular problem, they always discuss it thoroughly to arrive at a solution. I have never felt rushed at any of my appointments. This is an honest dental office; for us it is definitely worth the drive to Elk Grove Sacramento for Dr. Ramanpreet Nanra.

Great Experience ! Dr Nanra really cares about his patients. He is really down to earth. Staff is great and friendly. I am nervous guy when it comes to dental. Painless injections to minimal post op discomfort was a different experience from what I was used to from my previous dentist. Me and my family comes here and now neighbors also. I would recommend this office to my friends and family. Dr. Nanra is a wonderful dentist who explains in detail the recommended treatment and what to expect during the procedure. My daughter who is super phobic with any dental procedure had a great experience. She didnt even feel the injections! She had two fillings placed with no discomfort. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming as well. Highly recommend this office!

I received an postcard, flyer, invitation from Elk Grove Healthy Smiles Dental (EHS Dental). The promotion offered a variety of specials for new Ipatients with or without insurance including a comprehensive exam with digital X-rays and cleaning at a reduced rate, free electric toothbrush (new clients who have insurance), an in-house insurance plan for uninsured and more.I called the number on the flyer and talked to Miguel. He was awesome: friendly, had a can-do attitude and offered a same day appointment with Kristen for my cleaning and Dr. Ramanpreet S. Nanra DMD for my exam. Miguel obtained my info, emailed me a link to complete complete information on line to expedite process. He was equally courteous, friendly and professional in person as on the phone.Kristin was friendly, welcomed me to the newer practice, asked me some precursor questions then took my X-rays them cleaned my teeth. She was new to the practice and spoke highly if Dr Nanra. She listened to my cleaning history, past experiences and cleaned, polished and flossed my teeth, maybe my next cleaning appointment, provided me a goody bag and thanked me for coming in.Dr Nanra was down to earth, friendly, listened to me regarding my dental history, all my root canals and why I was seeking a new dentist. We talked about my a tooth that needed a filling, my bite guard and the pros and cons of my existing one plus watching my left front tooth for cracking. We chatted about his background, the fact that he was the first dentist in his family (his parents are doctors) and just getting to know each other. He was most personal. I really like Dr Nanra. I like that he took the time to speak with me, get to know me, the thoroughness of the exam and in fact all aspects of this appointment.I look forward to my appointment to have my tooth filled. I know that may sound crazy but I am confident it will be a positive one.Kudos to all the staff, I look forward to my new dentist, the staff and dental practice.

Okay Im finally getting around to writing this review. Here goes:So I originally chose this dentist office back when it was Dr. Tinneys. I dont know if its because of my genetically weak enamel, passion for cotton candy or never-floss lifestyle but Ive always been quick to get cavities and since it had been at Least 5 years since my last check up I knew I was going to need a lot of work done. I mean, a Ton. So I basically just Googled sedation dentistry and started reading yelp reviews. I found Dr. Tinneys office on yelp and all the reviews were glowing and since they took my insurance I tried it out. Now, Ive always been really scared of the dentist because my teeth were trash as a kid and needles arent my favorite and Smile Care emotionally scarred me so it was mind blowing how different the experience was by comparison. I mean, they gave me a blanket. Who does that? They were crazy nice and I was completely comfortable. Anyways I needed a billion cavities filled and Im a big problem avoider so I waited another 2 years to finally make an appointment and get started and by the time I came back Dr Tinney had retired and Dr Nanra was the new guy. I was nervous because I thought Dr Tinney might have been literally the only nice dentist out there and now theres this new guy replacing him? But there was no need to be nervous. He is amazing. Hes easily in my top 10 favorite people. I was crazy scared to get all the crowns and fillings done with the shots and the drills and all those horrible things that I remembered and feared as a kid so I chose to be sedated my first few rounds. First - the sedation is great. They crush a few pills, put it under your tongue and pretty soon youre calm and in and out of consciousness and the next day you barely remember a thing. But after a few rounds of sedation I realized it was totally overkill. Hes so slow and gentle with the needle. You literally cant feel a thing. He never seems rushed. I feel like dentists always seem like theyre in a rush to get on to the next person but hes never like that. Anyways, so I moved from sedation, to gas, to nothing with each appointment. Now I almost look forward to the appointments, which is wild. I cant tell you how sweaty and scared I would get before. Anyways, Dr Nanra is fantastic. Hes friendly and patient and always answers my millions of questions with as much detail as I want. But its not just him, the entire staff is so nice and funny and I will never go to a different office. Hopefully when Im 80 Nanra will still be working and Ill never have to choose anyone else. I recommend this dentist office to everyone I know.Also theres financing. 👍

Ive been a patient of Dr.Tinney for over 5 years and I think its time for me to look for a new office, sadly but true. Dr.Tinney made me feel very uncomfortable at my last appointment. He thinks he can joke around but he doesnt have a clue what hes saying 90% of the time. He told me how I can pull a prank on my son (my son passed a way 3 years ago) and we have talked about it several times. He is loosing his mind. I rely think Dr.Tinney is ready to retire. I would no longer recommend him to anyone else, he used to be great. Hes now lost his mind and I cant no longer trust him.

UPDATE! So i had an appointment yestersay on 3/29/16. I was treated so well. Of course i had the oral sedation. I remebmber bits and pieces of what happened. But before i was under i can remember the staff was amazing. We laughed. I remember waking up on one occasion and saying something to Dr. TINNEY. Next thing you know i woke up at home. I 100% recommend this dentist! He has helped my fear go away.I am terribly afraid of the dentist. I went in yesterday all worked up. The assistant i had was amazing and had so much patience with me. Then the man of they year came in ..lol.. dr. Tinney calmed me down . His voice was so soothing . We all joked around and before you knew it everything was done. This place is amazing!

I hate the dentist cause of my own self, but life e the staff that put up with me and take care of me!!
