Rhonda, and now her daughter Sarah, are the best in the business!!! They are so knowledgeable and professional. Their customer service is amazing and I will never take my vehicles or let my daughters take their cars anywhere else! They are honest about when something does or doesnt need to be done and if its an ASAP issue or not. They also let me know if its something that really needs to be a factory made part only or theyll hunt for the best price on a cheaper part that will work just as good! The mechanics are just as great too. I trust all of their recommendations as well for things that are outside of their scope and will only go where they suggest. Cant say enough wonderful things about them! Dont go anywhere else!

Fixed the automatic tailgate on our vehicle for free and showed me how to reset it in the future if the issue popped back up. Dealership wanted $2000 for the same repair. Greatly appreciative of Evert Automotive.

Most mechanics out there will shamelessly recommend repairs you dont need and exaggerate problems that are minor or dont exist.Look no further! Evert automotive lives up the high reviews (check Google, Yelp, Nextdoor, etc). Its probably why they are so busy and generally require an appointment for service.Most important, Im surprised by the honesty. I needed work on my brakes, and rather than giving me the usual sales pitch on why I should replace everything urgently, they actually worked to identify what was wrong and replace only what was necessary. Not only that, but when the repair went faster than estimated, they actually lowered the labor cost. How many shops would do that??Anyways, give this place a shot, especially if you are in Elk Grove.

The most thorough and honest shop around. Rhonda and the boys are really nice too. I could immediately tell how knowledgeable they were when I walked in and spoke with them. You cant beat the prices either. If they dont take a full hour, you only get charged for that part of the hour. They also found other issues that other shops couldnt find. Dont worry though because they never start working or charge without permission. As a courtesy, they replaced the lamp on my license plate. Others would charge for that.

Awesome Service!Our friend was on a 2 month 3000 mile summer trip when her AC went out while in Elk Grove. I told her that I know of the best guys to handle this repair. Norm and Andrew diagnosed the issue in less than an hour and informed us about our repair options and by 2pm had her on her way headed to Yosemite and beyond! Thank you guys for making that happen at the last minute for her!

Straight up honest! I had what I thought might be a complex problem and it turns out it was a simple fix. They found the issue and fixed it while I waited and then refused to let me pay for what they did. I WILL be back!

My AC was blowing at like 80 degrees and these guys fixed everything wrong with it, since there was a lot, and when we called cause I broke it again, gave us step by step directions to fix it, as opposed to us making the hour commute for an easy fix. Informed us every step of the way what they were doing and even provided a bowl of water for my pup.

Unfortunately, Im going to have to amend my previous 5 star rating due to a displeasure with the quality and longevity of work done on my car.The short version-got a complete clutch replacement.Never really acted normally.Went out 2.5 years later.Shop wouldnt fix it, or reimburse for another shop to fix it.The long version-About 2.5 years ago the clutch went out on the car we had just purchased. Evert Automotive was nice enough to replace our clutch and go to bat with the warranty company to have them pay for it. But the new clutch that was put in was never quite right. It would intermittently struggle to get into gear (like the clutch was going out, but it was brand new). But the problem was never consistent enough that I though I could take it to the shop and theyd be able to diagnose it.Then, a couple oil changes later one of the Goodyear mechanics noticed we had a grounding wire that was not connected to anything. The only reason the car was running is because the wire just happened to be touching the engine block. So, we took it back to Evert to have them fix it, and they did. But it made me wonder what else they may have forgotten. I also mentioned the intermittent problem with the clutch and was told that they couldnt replicate the problem. (Evert Automotive maintains that I never brought it up, but that is not how I remember it)Fast forward to last week, the clutch problem is getting worse and Im planning on having it looked at once we are able to save up a little money. Then it unexpectedly goes out. I call Evert to have them look at it and am told they dont do clutch jobs. So, I take it elsewhere. Even though I know Everts warranty on the clutch job has long passed, I know that a clutch should last more than 2.5 years (especially with how carefully my wife drives it) plus, since the clutch was never quite right, I called the Everts to see if they would be willing to stand by the quality of their work and help pay for some of the new clutch bill. They were unwilling.My new mechanic explained that there was a piece that in his words probably ended up falling off that was causing our clutch problems. In my opinion, its completely possible that said part was never actually installed. If the grounding wire was forgotten, whos to say this small part wasnt forgotten? This particular part would also explain why our clutch problems were so intermittent.Im giving two stars, not one, because of the hard work of the front office to get the warranty company to cover the original clutch from 2.5 years ago. Unfortunately, the quality of work done in the shop doesnt appear to be on par with the office.I cant in good conscience recommend this shop because of the lack of quality in their work.

Hard to find a decent shop that has good mechanics. I have been going to this place for about 5 years, I have no complaints. They will be upfront with you on what you need and what you dont. If they dont work on something like my Ford Diesel they tell you. They do a good job on my subaru and my kids hondas. I recommend Evert Auto... 5 stars.

These people are awesome I took my vehicle down there they Diagnostic and one day call me up said they found the problem The Price is Right I recommend people to see these people they okay just stay away from Precision Auto and Florin Road in Sacramento they stay in your pocket they overcharge people

Cannot recommend enough.We went in for a 1 hour fix, they ended up spending 5 hours figuring out how to fix it BUT still charged us for the 1 hour of labor!I still cant believe they were that generous to us, will be sending everyone in Sacramento I know this way!

We took our Honda to Evert last summer for some major service. Last week we experienced trouble with the car that I did not know was connected to that previous service. But Evert knew. They repaired the car without charge, covered under warranty, and even threw in another little service as a consolation for our trouble.Addendum, Sept. 12, 2018:We asked Evert to evaluate our vehicle for excessive road noise and whatever maintenance tasks they could recommend. They found the cause of the noise quickly, and after gaining our approval, fixed it for less than the estimate. They found no other maintenance needs. In the process, they accidentally performed an unauthorized oil change. For this, they promptly apologized and charged us practically nothing. Everts integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction is simply the best.New update, Sept. 8, 2019We planned to send our 23-year-old Honda to SoCal with our daughter. A few days before the trip, the check engine light lit up. Unsure whether this was a change your oil message or a this is bad, get help fast message, we took it to Evert. They gave the vehicle a safety check, found the reason for the light (more serious than an oil change), and recommended we do not get the needed service because it would cost more than the car is worth. No charge. Who does this! Evert does, every time. Thank you for squeezing us in and speaking the truth.

My son and I have been bringing our cars to Rhonda for 10 years. She has always bent over backwards to make sure things were right and she will admit it if she doesnt feel they can fix the problem. One of her mechanics actually told me he would charge as much as a place closer to my home to install struts so I should take it there if I didnt feel like bringing my car to the shop! How can you not love service like this? Rhonda always give you options. She once looked at my car and it needed work but not right away so I didnt need anything done that day. I couldnt ask for a better place to take care of my car. It is always done on time and Rhonda continually calls to give me updates. I wouldnt go to another repair shop ever.
