I could not be happier with the service I received here. I was on a 3 week cross country road trip from Massachusetts to Arizona and in El Paso my Nissan Murano rental started making a suspicious noise so I randomly went to this location and they let me exchange the vehicle for another SUV and return it in Massachusetts at no extra cost! They were helpful and patient while I unloaded all of my gear (including a bike and bike rack) from one car to the beautiful new Mazda CX-9. I have attached pictures of both vehicles in different parts of the country, an unforgettable 3 week cross country adventure in great SUVs for less than $350. Thank you Hertz!

Don’t rent from here. Don’t rent from Isaiah Paz. We returned the car on time , no damage and clean and they still kept adding extra charges of up to $800 , like for what. Customer service is awful and you’ll spend about 2 hours on the phone waiting for an answer. They only have one person working at the Convair location and they’ll never have cars available. The day we were renting Isaiah Paz even GAVE OUR CAR AWAY and we had to wait 3 hours for another car and to finally get on the road . We had a 12 hour drive to get to and we left later than we wanted to thanks to Isaiah Paz and horrible customer service from Hertz. Now we’re dealing with extra charges because Isaiah didn’t mark that THE CAR WAS RETURNED ON TIME!!! And another $200 for some unknown fee. Don’t rent from here go somewhere else. Horrible customer service , horrible employee Isaiah Paz or manager whatever he is . Awful all around .

STAY AWAY FROM HERE. They closed my contract while I was using the car. Charged me $854.45 while my initial contract was $543.38. Called customer service and they told me I had to go back and remake the contract. Guy at the front and the manager told me they werent going to charge me again and will reimburse me the difference but NO. THEY CHARGED ME ANOTHER $543.38 ON TOP OF THE INITIAL AMOUNT. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.

What is fantastic about HERTZ? The Service! Simple answer I know, but a real one and one that is spawned by people that care about what they do! We arrived in El Paso at a busy time, there were no cars in the 5 Star, Gold or Presidents Circle lots. First time for us for sure, but we held tight for about 15 minutes and through the efforts of two amazing people at the Gold Counter and the folks taking care of the vehicles ... add to that calm, detailed and exacting information (this was at 12:30 in the afternoon, Tuesday November 10, 2020), we were driving off the lot by 1:15 PM.Things happen, that is just the way it is. How the not so good moments in time are handled speaks volumes for the outcome. We have been HERTZ customers since the early 90s and have seen some highs and not so highs; we continue to return because of the service! I have communicated often regarding trip details, one when we were heading to Key West years ago, the effort and service and support then is what we lived again in El Paso. Different issue yes, but the same resonant care that comes from people to genuinely believe in what they do and the importance of customer service.Hats Off ALL!

As a President Circle member, I have come to expect a certain level of service and to date the employees of Hertz Rental have yet to fail to meet my expectations.Due to Covid 19 Pandemic these few employees practice social distancing and wear face masks.Awesome, great customer service, fuel efficient and clean vehicles during a major worldwide crisis.I will continue to use Hertz Rental and I highly recommend using Hertz Rental over any other rental car agency.

Whats going on?? Stood in line for a good 20 minutes to rent a car. I go to the garage to get a car and there are NO cars available to rent. Then I waited in another line for about 30 minutes to get a car as they are being returned by previous renters. Ridiculous! I was soooooo late to work. I shouldve just Ubered.

My husband and I have been Gold Plus Members for over ten years and have chosen Hertz for all our rental needs. On average, we rent 1 to 2 times per month. However, because of my experience today we will never rent from Hertz again. Never! I made my reservation on-line as usual. I was directed to pick my vehicle at the Gateway location, when I arrived they were closed. I called customer service and my reservation was changed to pick up at the airport location. Already 1 hour behind schedule, I arrive to the airport location. Behind the counter was the most unreasonable and rude “weekend manager” I have ever encountered, Christine. She would not compromise on their policy that I needed a return flight ticket in order to rent a car from the airport. Even though l had rented a vehicle two weeks prior at the same exact location without a return flight ticket.It is people like Christine that can change loyal customers in an instant. Sadly, she is the “manager” and there was no one else to help deal with the situation. She was so indifferent, unprofessional and unwilling to rectify the situation that makes me question the hiring and promotion practices of Hertz.During this time of pandemic, businesses are changing their hours and closures, and I completely understand. The issue is how Hertz handled the situation. It is sad to see that Hertz can not make an exception to a policy that obviously is not enforceable due to closures at all other locations. Even worse, there is inconsistent interpretation of the policy depending on who is behind the counter.I was able to rent from Budget without any hassles at a cheaper rate. So, I will never return back to Hertz.

Not happy! Usually I have good experiences with Hertz and I am a Hertz Gold member using them a lot....but not this time in Amarillo. I had a flight delay due to the weather and phoned Hertz letting them know that my plane would not arrive until just before midnight. The woman told me they closed the counter at 11:00 PM but would make arrangements to have either a person there or the keys for me. Besides, there were others on the plane with reservations - turned out there was only one other who had a Hertz reservation. I arrived at the counter before midnight and nobody was there nor were there any keys/note for me or the other guy. All of the other counters (Avis, National, etc.) had someone behind the counter to meet the customers....but not Hertz. So, I called the Hertz 800 number and of course the guy apologized and told me he would report this to his supervisor and I would hear from him: this would be take care of. It is now three days later and I still have heard nada....nothing. So, not only was the service at the counter disappointing but also there was no follow through. This is corporate America at its best not taking care of the customer. Resolution for what turned out to be my problem despite the fact that Hertz created it: I rented from Avis. I used to use Avis exclusively but switched to Hertz a couple years ago. Perhaps I will rethink the wisdom of my switching to Hertz!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, two times now!! the first time i waited over an hour to get a car as a gold member! they had completely run out. the second time i accidentally brought my key with me through security (which i know was my fault) and NATALIE told me that there was nothing she could do for me at all and told me i’d be charged over $250 for the missing key. Hertz is connected to the airport, so it may be a 5 minute walk through baggage claim to meet me or an officer who was willing to meet halfway. i finally ended up checking out and going back to the gate and no one was there to be found at all. would not recommend going to this place at all, terrible customer service

Great staff and great cars...love the service. On this occasion however, the system was down when I picked the car up so it took a loooong time to get through what is normally a quick/efficient process. Not the employees fault, and again they were very nice about it and provided great customer service, but maybe some redundancies need to be added to the system to prevent future occurances. Travelers are sometimes on a tight schedule and a long delay can cause issues!

US MILITARY (!!!) Please read the reviews before renting from this location. Customer service very poor and unhelpful. Even know they say they are open until 0100 no one answers the phone past 1900 (7 PM). If ur military make sure u request to rent from a different car rental place on ur travel. I will be working very hard through my chain of command to see if this place can be black listed and not an option for military to select when on official travel. Maybe then they might take time to change their policy and customer service.

Always sold out of full size 4x4 pick ups. I always try to reserve a week in advance. Nope.Also, Enterprise ALWAYS upgrades me to something sweet if they cant accommodate my request. I am a Hertz gold member with many points but this location NEVER upgrades me for my inconvenience.Piss poor service and Im sick of it.

Everything was really very good, the only small glitch was the electronic receipt would not generate out in the parking lot. I did have to go back into the desk to check out but that went very smoothly. The system is still down but they were able to email me my receipt within about 40 minutes.

I am a loyal Hertz gold member, usually great here however today my name was not on the board. Went to the desk waited for 20 min no one showed up. Called in to corporate and was given a car. I go to exit and the man tried to charge me extra for taking what I was told to get. This desk needs to be staffed while open..wait is ok 20 mins is not.

I have rented from this location most every week for the past 2 years and have had excellent service. My car is always ready and the staff are friendly and helpful. I generally return the car at 4:30 am and, again, someone is on hand to check me in and give me a receipt. Thanks Hertz for making my trips easier!

Sadly my drop off experience was HORRIBLE.. The worst customer serivce from employee PIO. A buddy and myself both dropped off our rental pickups. The gentleman who received and inspected our trucks was aweosme. When we went to the HERTZ booth, we asked PIO if we could change our form of payment. He right away was rude in how he responded to both of us. From his sarcastic comments to his facial expressions. My buddy even had issues with this employee at pickup the day before. HERTZ has always had great and exceptional customer service. Its SAD to see such a person as PIO represent this company.

We booked through Priceline and was satisfied with the price of the compact car we got. But do not expect customer service. The guy at the counter that checked us in which never gave us his name was rude. He had a personality of a peanut. Nobody was at the airport and we went he was sitting down and it was like we were bothering him to go over our rental agreement. I gave Hertz 2 stars because the car was what I expected and I enjoyed my ride in it. I also want to tell Hertz that upon returning my car A gentleman named Felix helped me. He was very nice, he asked me if I enjoyed my stay in El Paso, he asked me if the car was fine if I had any problems. He had a smile on his face which made it seem like he was happy I was there. Very different from how the service person was upfront. I told him I was going to write a review and I wanted his name And he said sure please do our survey also. I think you need to switch their employees around and put the person who checked my car in at the front desk and the person whos at the front desk well I really do not know where to put him. Overall it hurts does not give me a better price I definitely will not go there for customer service. I rather rent to where I normally do which is enterprise, pay a little bit more, but feel that they respect me and appreciate my business.

First time a Hertz car had odor of someone having smoked in it and a cigarette burn hole in the front driver seat. However because of the great customer service I had received the week before from Hertz home office staff person, I chose to accept this as a one off occasion. Will not at all affect my using Hertz for my business travel car rental needs.

Picked up my vehicle, it was clean filled with fuel and ready to go. As a gold member no waiting, just pick up the keys and go. Hertz has my business and will continue to, traveling is busy enough, but Hertz makes it a little easier. By the way, El Paso has made it so simple to get to the rental lot, wish more airports would follow their lead.

Rented out an intermediate car package for 5 days. I paid the extra money expecting a good vehicle.I soon find out that the AC is broken. This is when it is 100 degrees out in El Paso. I then try to call the airport desk several times, but no answer after selecting 9 (talk to a representative). I expect vehicle air conditioning to be checked and well maintained at this time of the year in this part of the country. It is much cooler just to drive around with the windows down in 100 degree heat. Very dissapointed in both the vehicle provided and the lack of service at the El Paso Airport location.

Odd experience.. The car was fine, but everything else was a bit off. I signed up for the Managers Special, which didnt really amount to anything at all. I still had to pay to upgrade, but no big deal. The odd part was with the gentleman who helped me. It was about 10:00pm and there was nobody around. Not a single person in line (there or any of the car rental places.) To save myself a couple of extra steps, I walked through the Gold Club line. He then asked me if I was a Gold Club member. When I said I was not, he proceeded to tell me I went through the wrong line and was only for Gold Club members. I looked over at both lines and said, there is no one here. He then reiterated I went through the wrong line. I felt like I was on Candid Camera or being Punkd.

Arrived yesterday as a President’s Circle member to get out the garage as one of the first people from my flight to find out that there were literally NO CARS on the entire lot! And to add insult to injury, the wait time was an hour and a half without air conditioning. Very disappointing that they would oversell themselves so significantly and not be ready with a waiting area or cold waters for us while we wait. I cancelled my reservation and rebooked with another car rental agency and was on my way in 10 minutes. Very disappointing!

We had to make 3 trips and 4 attempts to get our rental. The reservation was made over the phone directly thru Hertz. They never said we had to place an additional $200 hold much less that the hold and the charge were both going to be placed on the same card at the time of pick up. They didnt let us apply it on 2 different cards. Then on the 3rd attempt they blamed on the bank of the 3rd card we tried. I called the bank and confirmed that they had not denied the hold or charge. We were now at 10p.m. when we were scheduled at 6p.m. On the 4th attempt the clerk was about to charge us more for 2 hours plus at a higher daily rate, keep in mind we are now 3hours behind schedule. At the end we left with a rental with corrected fees, with Hertz trying to make it seem as if they did us a favor at 11:20pm. So we finally get to leave on our destination, oh wait did I mention, the only reason we used Hertz was because they were the only ones that had an eight passenger vehicle .......BUT as we drove off, guess what ? After, 4 card attempts, clerical issues, more than 4 hours of delay our rental DID NOT have room for eight pasengers! Oh but we get a certificate for next time. Do you really think Im interested in a next time?????? You think your certificate is going to cover the time lost and almost a whole day of our hotel rental? Plus we were behind on our activities set because of the lack of rest due to leaving so late!!!!!!

I had a car from them back in December and it was great. Clean, maintenance was done, and actually fuel efficient. This time around my car was dirty stains in need of brake maintenance, and not even fuel efficient. Both cars were economy class. Big let down this time around.

Rip off alert !!We didnt have a booking online or by phone so we showed up at Hertz at El Paso Airport (inside the airport) and the lady told me that they only had SUVs available for a one way trip to Houston, that I had to return it to Houston Galleria area (which is very far from my house). She quoted me $1,300 USD for 2 days !! thats is absurd, Im not buying that car only need to rented. So I was very frustrated didnt know what to do and the lady operating the kiosk didnt help much. So I picked up the phone and called Hertz at the 1-800 number and the person who answered was very courteous and made a booking for me for a compact car, for a one way trip to Houston for only $290 USD and returning the car at IAH airport which is where I wanted. Then I showed the booking to the kiosk and they gave me a compact car and processed my booking. So my question remains why would the same company have 2 different prices/policies about availability, etc. That worries me !! Imagine if out of desperation I would have paid the $1,300 USD. This needs to be looked into !

First time me getting a rental.. I got a vehicle for a week,. Im a gold member, first of all. I purchased my rental with points. I called the 800 number for the reservation, they were friendly, however, Never was I told there would be a deposit taken out of my card, I only was told bout taxes and a charge fee, until i got to the counter I found this out. 2nd, there was a man at the counter who was rude, not even worried about apologizing, nor sympathetic about the situation. Car was ok. When i tried to get my credit back, Im still waiting on it and I returned the car 4 days ago. 200.00 of deposit money. I already have the receipt, the car I returned was good and Im supposed to have this back in my account, however I still have not received my deposit back. Im very dissapointed.
