I dropped off my rental vehicle Aug 13th, today is the 28th and yet have not received a receipt!! I have called customer service 4 times and emailed them once. Being told by customer service the it is in the location of rentals hands which would be El Paso Airport. I need my receipt!!! Poor customer service!!!!

WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!!! We booked a full size. We got there and they had absolutely zero cars and upgraded us to an SUV without asking. They said at no extra cost. We were quoted at 220 and now theyre trying to charge over 400. We said we would fill it, but theyre already trying to charge us their rate for filling it. HERTZ is bankrupt and its affecting all of these other rental agencies.

WOW HONESTLY THIS IS PERFECT FOR A PERSON THAT DOESNT HAVE CREDIT CARDS AND THEY ATTEND REALLY. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS HAVE A 24 HR RESERVATION. THANK YOU DOLLAR CAR RENTAL

Below is my letter to the CEO of Hetz/Dollar that I think speaks for itself. I think that most of you writing bad reviews here only write of a negative experience when there are plenty of us that have had amazing service from Dollar/Hertz so I wanted to express that here.Hi Paul,This is Jeff Wilson - Im CEO of a prefab housing startup out of Los Angeles.I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for one of your employees, Homer Buddy Pitzer III, out of your El Paso airport location.In brief, I had a terrible blowout (the tire AND the rim had holes in them) in the middle of nowhere West Texas on the way home from Thanksgiving last Friday. I was stuck over 100 miles from El Paso. After being on hold with Dollar roadside for about  90 minutes, I decided to just call El Paso direct to see if they could help me. I actually got ahold of someone named Rebecca  at the location there, who sent me on to Buddy, her manager.  I explained that Id had a hard day and that Id had to get a tow truck 100 miles and that Id be arriving 10 minutes after 9pm when they closed and could they please help me. El Paso is a hotspot for the pandemic and I really didnt want to stay in a hotel there. To my shock, Buddy said hed stick around as long as I needed and he did - until 9:20. He and Rebecca had a new car ready for mine, took mine in and put me back on the road and on my way to LA.Moreover, when I offered to write a letter to his boss, he humbly replied - I quote - its not necessary as I feel its my job to assist our customers no matter how and when the situation arises.Its times like these where you appreciate what humans can be - thoughtful, giving and humble - the true spirit of what this country is built upon  - and its inspiring that the spirit of all that still exists in someone like Buddy. And as a Hertz Presidents Circle member it gives me great comfort that youve got people like Buddy working for you. Would give it no stars if I could. They don’t inspect the car before u take it unless u ask them too. The vehicles doors wouldn’t lock. They leave trash inside the vehicle. The manager Mike doesn’t understand what you are telling him, his words, not mine. People are rude and try over charging. Zero care about customers. Would never rent a car from them again. Will stick to enterprise.

From the get go, the representative at the counter was rude and did not inform me of any hidden charges. Once we got the car, we experienced a flight delay and needed to extend the drop off time. The customer service department was absolutely awful. I’ve been transferred back and forth between one department to another, and at one point I was transferred to a completely different rental car company.If you’re looking for a cheap car rental, then by all means – choose Dollar Rent a Car. But be forewarned, you pay for what you get, and you do not get the basic customer service that’s required for this kind of transaction. If changes happen to your itinerary, or you expect to pay a certain amount, you will be fooled and not taken care of.

Had a pretty good experience here as they gave us a great rate and got us into a rental in a timely manner. Pricing was great for the amount of time we need the vehicle. The first suv they gave us smelt like cigarette smoke however they switched it out without hesitation and sent us on our way. We will rent from them in the future for all of our car rental needs. I had a great experience with Dollar located in the El Paso airport. I didnt have to wait in line a long time, they didnt try to pressure me into extra stuff when I turned it down, the car was very nice and the return was easy. Based on my experience, I cant imagine what the negative reviews are about!

I will never use this company again. Needed to let them know that I was arriving one day late for a reservation. All calls get directed to useless call center in India. Call center lied and said there was no local number. I found one but this location does not answer their phone. Horrible customer service. I simply wanted to prepay my reservation and let them know I was arriving a day late but that was impossible to do without being charge an extra $180. Horrible customer service.

The young lady and gentleman were rude. I called ahead, which was hard enough to do to have my questions answered but when I arrived in person, I had to wait for someone to show up and was told that I was late to pick up a rental. Besides a blatant misunderstanding on their part, I chose to walk away from unexpected fees, an unexpected wait time, and bad customer service.

Buyer beware! They refused to honor my class upgrade coupon that was sent to me with me reservation (which was a big incentive to even use this company), then the vehicle they gave me has blown speakers making the radio impossible to listen to. Will be attempting to exchange vehicles and update review accordingly.

Be careful of add-ons that you didnt ask for. Was charged for Satellite radio, about $7/day. Called 10 min. after leaving when we realized and asked them to take it off. The attendant agreed but said he needs to talk to manager. Called a couple other times to follow up and they never reversed the charge. The manager is never there.Worse, we had a car pre-booked. Rental was supposed to be for 12 days. Our departure flight getting to El Paso was delayed for 24 hours. We informed Dollar. They required a new booking, one day less for more money. Same car.

I rented the car March 23rd 6:00 a.m. returned the car March 23rd 11:50 p.m. No one was there but a Hertz employee from another rental place. So I Return the vehicle and keys to Thrifty/dollar car desk... The next day on my account when it was close for the rental but I was charged extra $200 for no reason... I called the customer service number they told me that I would receive a refund in 3 to 5 business days in is already been 6 days.... I went to talk to the manager Monday he told me he would return my phone call and he never did And its now Friday....

Such a shame! The car was great. The girl on the desk was great. BUT, despite me pre-paying and selecting the full all inclusive insurance and fuel package, my credit card was charged again when I dropped the car off, leaving me out of pocket, over my credit card limit and utterly, utterly disgusted with the Dollar brand as a whole!They are now ignoring my emails, tweets and DMs. Im in the UK so would rather not have to call them.

Absolutely terrible! We got to El Paso and we rented a car to get around El Paso, and the car had a flat tire! And we got charged for it! Dont forget the customer service is awful.

I got charged over double of what my rental agreement said with no changes to the original reservation. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card. Also the car we got did not have a full tank of gas and we were expected to bring it back full. Very slow and disrespectful. Never going to use them again.

Rude employee inside, pleasant in the lot, bait and switch, ridiculous add ons (want 13 a day for spouse to drive when the entire car rental world lets spouses drive). Avoid. Pay more elsewhere for better service.

Ive made numerous attempts to contact customer service with no luck. I paid for my rental before pickup. Almost $200. I am denied the car at the location and customer service told me they would refund the whole amount. Its been two weeks and no money. I desperately need that money. I call customer service and they cant find my cancelled reservation. Im getting very irate cause no one can help me. I submitted a contact form on the website THREE TIMES. Facebook messages have been ignored.
