I originally requested a repair on an oven back in May. The first available appt was in early August. The tech came out and was very nice. We paid in full for a new part and the service call. The part came without any notification from Sears. When I finally realized what it was and opened it, it was broken. I notified them and let them know it was here, but it was broken. They sent a new one and scheduled a different tech to come out and install it. He came a week later. Said it was fixed. The first time I tried to use it a few days later I immediately got the same error code. I called Sears and the first available appointment is in a month. They said if it wasn’t the original issue we’d have to pay for the service call again. I have no issue paying for the parts (although did I even need the first $300 part?) but I think it’s ridiculous to wait ANOTHER month (4 months total) to have someone come out again that I have to pay to resolve an issue that should have been fixed under the first and second visits! Unfortunately Sears is the only repair place in the area and now I have to use them to get their 90 day warranty on the part.

Though not the fault of the repair person, this was some of the worst service we have ever received! Sears has forever lost our business. After nearly 6 weeks without a refrigerator-freezer waiting for the Sears repair man, I hired another service business to fix my unit. Our unit broke down the weekend of the 4th of July and were told we would not get a repair on it until Aug 20 at the earliest, for which we were then scheduled, but that once the parts came in to call to see if they could speed up the timeline. The parts came in a few days later, but when we called for an earlier date, we were told the earliest possible was Aug 21 now, even though wed supposedly been scheduled for Aug 20. Ive filed a complaint with the BBB. They forwarded the complaint to Sears. On the day that the other repair man came, I received a call from Sears saying they had an opening that day to come and fix it, but I told him no because Id hired another party. That also happened to be one day after the BBB forwarded the complaint to Sears; how coincidental. I am eager for a resolution for the damage caused by the lack of service.

It started with fast service. Came out in 2 days. Repair man came and “fixed” the fridge. $530. Very nice serviceman. Now less than a week later it’s hit and miss working. Work was guaranteed 90 days from Sears. Called to get a service person back and was to someone would be here 3 weeks from now. Really? Very disappointed.

Would highly recommend Virgil. He demonstrated professional manner and expertise in repairing our refrigerator. Though no fault of Virgils, my frustration was having to wait over six weeks for an appointment to have him diagnose the refrigerator. Thankfully he had the appropriate replacement item in his truck - had he not had this item - it would have taken another two months before he could schedule with us again.

Virgil is a wonderful technician! He is very pleasant & professional & very determined to figure out the problem with any appliance. Due to the fact that I live quite a way out in the country, I am always either 1st or last on his list for the day & whenever he arrives he is just as pleasant in the early evening as he is early in the morning! He is a real asset to the company!

Service repairman, Virgil, was great to work with! I give him 5 stars. He did what he said he would do and had it done quickly and thoroughly. He also kept us updated on when he would arrive. I would recommend him! BUT, Sears repair obviously does not have enough repair people as my oven quit working around October 30th but I wasnt able to get it scheduled for repair until December 18th. This made hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 25 people extremely difficult! We paid over $300 for the extended warranty on it and I feel it should not have taken nearly 2 months to get it fixed. Actually, it should not have broken as it is less than 3 years old! :(

The repair person arrived 15 minutes after the 4 hour repair window ended. He did call 15 minutes before the repair window to let me know he would be „5 minutes“ late and asked if that would be ok.He spent 10 minutes diagnosing the problem, another 5 trying to locate the faulty part. Unable to locate the part, he said it could not be repaired, asked if I would like to upgrade my repair for a monthly fee which would cover my other appliances. I declined. So he charged me $109. and left.

The Sears representative made it easy to schedule, was friendly and helpful. The technician was on time, professional and answered all my questions. We have had one incident where repair was needed, and the extended warranty covered all costs.

The appointment was easy to make and the repairman called me when he was 1/2 hour away from my location in the Chequamegon National Forest. He was right on time and knowledgeable.My refrigerator requires a new temperature control. I shall do the replacement myself since the repair person is based 80 miles away and the part is being mailed to my address anyway. I have experience in minor refrigeration repairs and service.Everything is covered under my extended warranty so I am a happy camper.

The tech who arrived -- Virgil -- has been to our house many times before for various items and is always extremely courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He always arrives promptly and is very respectful of us and our home. We were once again delighted with his service, and the efficient way he identified and fixed our dryers problem. Thank you! Larry, the repairman, was very efficient knowing exactly what needed to be done to get my snowblower fixed and running again. I always appreciate when they explain or show me whats going on and any Little tips I can do to make it run better (since I am a female and want to do things I can & not have to wait and rely on someone else that it takes too much time for them to arrive and help)

I had a protection agreement. I called on Nov. 4 to schedule an appointment for my snowblower. After 10 calls over a three week period, I was told that no technician was available. We then began the process of trying to replace the item per the PA. As of Dec. 13, weve had no resolution and it is still somewhere in the escalation bureaucracy. Meanwhile, here in northern Minnesota weve already had two 8+ snowfalls and no working snowblower.

My washing machine is still not operating correctly. After waiting 10 days for a part, a no-show appointment and another 7 day wait , the original problem still exists. Now, I wait another 7 days for another service call. This has taken 1 month so far since my first call to schedule. Unit supervisor did not call back as promised and posting a request on the Facebook page resulted in nice-sounding platitudes and promises but absolutely no results. Very disappointed.

As for trying to contact these guys via phone call, you will be transferred to some far away call center with people who do not understand you and awkwardly force their service plan at you like used car dealers. It’s almost like they refuse to acknowledge a simple request. SHOP LOCAL!!!

0/10 TERRIBLE!!!!! First of all I couldnt understand the 3 people I talked to because they were from India. I have a tough time understanding accents. Anyways, I made an appointment on a Tuesday, for a repair on Friday. Friday comes around and no one shows so I call them, and they said that I had not made an appointment. I spoke to 3 people and their supervisors and no one could give me a reason or make up for it at all. They just kept saying sorry, even though it was their fault and mistake. So they said they could sent someone out in a week.....A WEEK?!?! My fridge has already been broke for 6 days, add on another week? F THAT. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, TERRIBLE ENGLISH, TERRIBLE EVERYTHING. Didnt even get to talk to an American 0/10

Scheduled a repair of our dishwasher. Showed up as scheduled. Concerned parts would have to be ordered but after a thorough going-over, found plugged drain. Removed debris, put it back together and checked by running to confirm problem solved. An excellent experience at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

The service person was 4 star. Hed been to my house before. The description he was given for the stove he was to look at was wrong. I had very tight oven racks on a new stove and he was told something on the stove was not heating. He could have come with the new racks . He had to order them and have them sent to me. If they do not fit then I have to call the number on the receipt. I hope they fit. The people taking the description of the problem need to be better at putting the correct description down for the repair person.

When I purchased my KENMORE washer & dryer I used my nieces rewards card because she helped me pick them out & i wanted to show my appreciation. But I used my Sears credit card for the purchase. Because of that they have been listed under my nieces information. Last year when I scheduled my annual maintenance the email went to my niece instead of me. They assured us last year that it was fixed. I had the same problem this year. When the tech arrived he had to resubmit for the appointment because it originally listed my nieces LG washer & dryer. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING WITH THE NUMBER OF PHONE CALLS IT TOOK TO CORRECT...OR SO THEY SAY ITS NOW CORRECT. I DONT BELIEVE THEM.

The service technician came out to check the refrigerator since the light would not go on. He said it was the bulbs in spite of my wifes suggestion that it seemed to be the door switch. Well within minutes after his leaving the light still didnt go on. But if you jiggled the switch, lo and behold the lights came on. The only way for the light to work was for the switch to be jiggled.The technician came back again today and still wouldnt believe it was the switch in spite of my wife demonstrating. He finally replaced the switch and it woks perfectly.

Then I spent a painful hour on the phone with their call center trying to reschedule for the next available service window which was apparently weeks away.

I will never use Sears home repair services again. The people in the van are great, but cant solve all problems. I was charged $230 to have them put a belt on a pulley. And it didnt stay on the pulley because they didnt fix the problem. And the people on the phone are hard to understand and frustrating to work with.

While the repair person was great, after first coming to diagnose the problem and coming back to repair it two weeks later; the issue still continues. We have to wait another 3-4 weeks for another return appointment. We are not satisfied with how this was handled. If the repair person has to come out again to fix the same issue, it shouldnt take another 3-4 weeks to wait for an appointment. We are really disappointed in Sears.

A very nice man came and took 15 min from the time he filled his Bissell machine with water and it heated up & thawed the line to the ice maker and it cost me $188 dollars!!! That was AWFULL for that amount of money and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND to my friends to call SEARS for any maintenance done on THEIR SEARS PRODUCTS.You have lost one hell of a dedicated Kenmore buyer!!!!

Virgil did a great job. Hes a keeper.. Now Sears itself is another story - Ive had problems with refrigerator for 10 years with the bins falling and having to repurchase items because they break all over the floor. They couldnt find the inside of the door to replace it - they reordered little expanders which I already had on the bins - their solution and wouldnt replace per home mainenance agreement because the bins fall and it costs me money to replace. Ridiculous......

Tech, Tesa, was great even though she could not complete the installation of a 2nd new part. There was no repeat visit as she fixed the dryer problem by installing the first part. Check with Tesa for details on why the second part was not installed. Wish she would be the tech on every repair visit.

Fixed quickly but very expensive. Even though I told them what the problem was, auger cable broken, I was still charged a $99 diagnostic fee. Charged an additional $18.91 for the part and $124 labor for something that only took about 15 minutes to fix.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not use them. I had an appoitment on a saturday between 2-5pm. I called at 4:45 pm to make sure they were coming. The sears guy said they were 2 min away. NOBODY EVER SHOWED UP. I called Sunday to see what happened. They said my appoitment was Sunday and put me on hold then hung up 10 min later. I called back, had to go through the process of automated phone system because they are outsourced to India call center, they then told me they dont make appointments Sunday and that they dont know why nobody showed up. They couldnt reschedule until that Friday. 5 days later. They did not care about my time or try to fix the problem. They were rude and kept telling me different things. Very unprofessional business. If you want to avoid a headache, 6 phone calls, waiting on hold, taking 3 min to talk to an actual person, dont use sears. I also have sent 3 emails about this ordeal and nobody has gotten back to me so I said I would post my negative reviews on all the sites.

First technician that came out to repair our washing machine (it is making strange noises) claimed that they ALL do that. He then ordered a replacement ring (white plastic ring on top of the tub) and left.Second technician that came to install replacement ring readjusted the rods that hold the tub in place. Stated that one was adjusted too much causing tub to swing out of balance. Noise that they ALL make is now gone.
