It takes a lot for me to log in and review a business, this isnt really my style, but it just has to be done. Jake and ProSource are absolutely, hands down, the best at what they do in all of Duluth. They give you accurate estimates, fair pricing, and timely service. Their work is unmatched and they stand by it. I have had a few different repairs done by them, both routine and fairly in-depth and they have been fantastic to work with each and every time. Its true what they say, if youve found a good mechanic, youre one of the lucky ones! Jake and his team at ProSource are incredible. Jake went out of his way to assess my cars issue, and fixed it flawlessly within 2 hours of diagnosing the problem. I was visiting Duluth and had a rattling in my engine and so I called to get an opinion if I could drive it home 3.5 hours then next day. He fit me in at the end of the day, diagnosed and fixed the issue (EGR) within 30 minutes! I was amazed to get in on the same day I called. The lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly and gave great tips for what to see in Duluth/North Shore. The mechanic also weighed in on a question I had on a type of minivan was a more reliable purchase. Overall an excellent experience for a visitor, I would recommend that if you’re visiting Duluth and need someone you can trust for a car repair, go here!

I always take my car to ProSource, even when there are other shops closer to me. Staff is always pleasant to deal with and never try to upsell me. Jake always takes the time to explain whats going on and go over different options for getting things fixed. Prices are reasonable and turnaround for repairs is good.

On my Nissan Frontier ProSource quickly diagnosed and replaced a bad leaking radiator, and figured out my AC problem was a leaking and damaged condensor. Showed me all the old parts. Works like new. Very competitive reasonable pricing. Nice people too.Another shop had failed to solve these problems after two appointments.

These guys are awesome! I have been going back here continuously for the last few months for various issues. Even on their busy days they are able to squeeze me in. I called for another issue recently with the startup of my car, and I am leaving on a road trip in a week, and even on their busy schedule they told me they will find some time to look at my car and assured me they will get me in to fix the problem before I leave, trust me no place else I know would go out of their way to do this! They value their customers and take pride in their work and it shows! They are super nice and make me feel very comfortable because I know they will find the problem quick and know how to fix it.

Going to the auto shop can be a nerve racking experience. The gentleman at ProSourse cut to the chase and diagnosed the problem and fixed it well keeping me in the loop and maybe more importantly didnt try to suggest additional unnessery fixes. I always like a garage thats busy, no time for fooling around. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back when they need that professional help.

I was up in Duluth for a few days for work and my check engine light came on. I wanted to stop into a shop to make sure Id make the trip back down to Minneapolis so the following morning I stopped in shortly after they opened. They scanned my car and then shared that they werent able to provide much help because they didnt have much experience with my type of car. Instead of just throwing their hands up and saying sorry cant help good luck, they referred me to another nearby car shop that they felt could better help look into what was going on with my car. Although a very brief experience, I very much appreciated how friendly and willing to help they were and taking the extra step to provide the name of another shop they trust that I could look to for help. Would definitely recommend.

I brought my car here after the Subaru dealership put a bad crankshaft PS in. They were super great, knowledgeable, honest, quick, and willing to go out of their way to help. Jake Valdes up Subaru to see if they would cover the warranty for the part if I got it replaced with Prosource. They wouldnt, but I still went with them and got my timing belt replaced at the same time. They knocked the labor of the CPS since I was doing that and the timing belt at the same time. Super awesome. If you live in the Duluth area, this should be your go-to shop. I moved away or Id still be bringing my car here. Now I just go other places and compare every shop to this one.

Great work for a great price

We have brought several different vehicles to ProSource with a variety of maintenance and repairs, and havent had a bad experience yet. Jake really takes care of his customers - he gets pur vehicles in quickly and communicates well regarding price and timeline. We love being able to support a local shop and have a trustworthy mechanic we can count on.

These guys are awesome. Brought my car in because the headlights were having issues. They took a look at it and realized the part that was causing the issue was under some kind of extended warranty so they called me and told me the dealership would fix it for free! They even called the dealership for me and argued with them to fix it since when dealership was being dodgy about it. 10/10 would recommend this place. Very honest and wonderful people.

While traveling to northern Minnesota, my moms Lexus developed a noise. Staying the night in Duluth, I advised her to visit ProSource in the morning to see what the issue was. Not only did they diagnose the issue, they fixed it as well, all for free. I recommended ProSource based on other reviews, specifically one about a father getting his daughters car repair from out of the city. I live in Kalamazoo, Mi and without any prior knowledge, I absolutely made the right choice. I great appreciate this shops time and dedication to its customers and my mom couldnt have spoken more highly about her experience.

Was enroute to Grand Marais for some winter fun and heard loud noise from rear wheels passing through Duluth. Called ProSource based on Google reviews. Jake said he was booked up (Friday afternoon) but asked me to stop over so that he could at least check it out. He quickly diagnosed it to be stuck brake caliper that was metal on metal. He fit us in and fixed the issue! Great place, locally owned, family run, friendly, courteous, wonderful staff. 2 hours went by quickly chatting with the locals while we waited. Got fishing recommendations, eating recommendations. 5 stars for sure!

Had my brakes done here and Im 100% satisfied! I was able to get an appointment quickly, and they were able to change my oil for me at the same time. Very friendly staff- Jake was awesome. I will come back again, and highly recommend them to others!

The best customer service I’ve ever experienced, a fair price, and quality work. I had some pretty serious mechanical trouble and was only going to be in Duluth for two days. I needed a diagnosis, not only was Jake able to get me in for that, but they were able to repair it for me as well. They saved me a lot of headache and trouble, and a bunch of money! Visiting Duluth from out of town, our Jeep needed a Pinion Seal replaced on the front axle. We were a walk in, but in spite of how busy they were with regular customers, Jake and his team managed to take care of our little emergency and still get all of their regular customers done on time. My hope is that all those at ProSource (Jake, in particular) - and the local folks that have the opportunity to give this place business - read this. My wife and four kids were heading from the Twin Cities to the North Shore when the emissions warning light went on. They were very concerned and phoned me back home to ask if I could help them locate a repair shop in Duluth since they were passing through it. I wanted them to avoid a dealership, since I question how ethical dealership are in dealing with service customers.I found ProSource on Google maps, called them and spoke with Jake and explained that my wife and kids would stop by. I asked him if they could run the codes and see what the issue is. Talked to my wife a couple hours later and she told me that Jake ran the codes, explained it was nothing immediately serious and sent them on their way quickly for no charge.Now, some mechanics would see a potentially stranded family as a way to make a quick. I applaud the ethics of this place and thank Jake. We do not live in Duluth, so I cant be a regular customer. But if you live in the area, you probably should be.

I went in to ProSource last year right before winter hit us, and I was looking for no nonsense place that will get the job done. I had a clutch fan issue with my vehicle and I found ProSource online and felt like they would be the most reliable. Needless to say, they got the job done, but they never asked me for the option of having an OEM Clutch Fan. Now it sounds like a monster truck every time the fan turns on.The second time I went to ProSource, I was having an issue with my check engine light coming on when the temperature began to drop below freezing. I asked them to check it out and two hours later I found out that they disconnected my camshaft position sensor on the drivers side bank; they could not provide me with the diagnostic read out of why my car was showing a check engine light.I was disappointed that the mechanics there were lying to my face about what needed to be fixed on my vehicle so that it wouldnt show any check engine light again. They even told me I shouldnt be driving my truck, because it was not safe; so why do all this extra things I didnt ask for and then turn around and tell me that I shouldnt drive my vehicle. Does that make any sense?Customers be wary of this place because I dont know why they decided to single me out and give me the run around and play games with my vehicle. Could have possibly been that because that I am young and I am black and didnt expect me to know about cars.

I was in town visiting Duluth when I woke up to a flat tire at the Radisson six blocks from ProSource Auto Repair. I called them and talked to Jake about my dilemma. He offered me a pressurized air tank so I could get the tire inflated and drive to their repair shop. He then immediately repaired the tire and I was on my way with hardly a hiccup in my schedule. I sure wish they were located in Minneapolis as they would be my go to repair shop if so. Duluth is fortunate to have such a reputable repair shop.
