Captain Chuck was awesome. The whole family had a great time. He knows his stuff and also was great with getting the kids involved and teaching them. What an experience. We caught almost 20 different types of fish. Though we didnt get the big keepers (We lost them), we got lots of keepers. The boys also landed 2 Sailfish at the same time. We booked two boats with Cap LW for our family reunion trip. A good mix of young children and adults for a near shore fishing trip in the morning. Captains Chuck and Brett were amazing! Kids had a blast catching vermilion snapper and the adults caught some very nice king mackerel! All in all a perfect fishing trip and 4 hours was a great amount of time for it! We came home with more than enough fish to feed 26 people and it was amazing!

We have fished with Capt Chuck and IntraCoastal Experience 4 years in a row and continue to have great trips each year. This year we had to race between two storms to get our trip in but Chuck put us on fish even in tough conditions. His patience and knowledge continue to impress me. I highly recommend him and this company and can tell you we would never fish with anyone else on our annual trips to Destin!

I want to thank captain Chuck and Intercoastal for an excellent fishing experience last Friday. I had some family and friends with me, including 2 first timers for a 4hr trip and we all had a blast!Captain Chuck was great, he was very knowledgeable and interacted with everyone perfectly. He answered any questions that we had and even taught us a few things.Most importantly he put us on the fish even though it was a slow morning. We caught a lot of fish overall and brought home enough fish for all 5 of us.Even on the trip back he was nice enough to come in close enough for us to get pictures of our beachfront condo complex as well as an awesome boat ride back thru the east pass!I highly recommend these guys if anyone is even thinking about a fishing trip in Destin.We will definitely be booking more trips when we return next year!

Fabulous experience for our kids and grandsons. Husband and I could not go because they can only take 6 out, but it was worth every penny to hear about what a fabulous time they had. They all raved about Capt Chuck and his vast knowledge of fishing. No time to eat or drink because the fish were constantly on the hook. They caught red snapper limit within 2 hours, and due to nasty weather coming in, they had to cut trip short by an hour. A great time was had by all. We took fish to Brotulas Restaurant to be cooked, and it was amazing!

We loved our outing. Caught a great variety of snapper, mackerel, and grouper. And a million we couldnt keep but were great fun to reel in. More than enough for a few hook and cooks for our party of 10. Captain Chuck focuses on getting you to good locations, and then keeping you baited with line in the water. Well worth our time and money. Which is why we keep coming back.

Highly recommend!!! Had a great time out with Cpt. Chuck. Caught somewhere between 100-150 fish. Got our limit of 40 Mingo’s and a few other keepers for us to eat. Was one of the best fishing trips we have ever been on. Cpt. Chuck is very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and most of all interactive, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Took the family down to the Destin area for the holidays, and decided to take my sons (8 and 10) out for a 4 hour inshore fishing trip. I had tried to schedule with Intracoastal Experience and initially they were booked up for the days we were looking to do, but Captain LW called me when a cancelation popped up and we booked an afternoon trip.Captain Chuck was waiting for us when we arrived at the docks, and had the boat ready to go. He took us out to try for some mingo snapper first, and had a second stop planned for flounder. The snapper fishing was spotty, but we managed to catch a few along with a huge porgy. Lots of other throw back fish were caught and the kids had a blast. We then headed to a second stop for flounder and it was on! We caught 10 flounder at the second stop, along with plenty of other miscellaneous throw back fish. He was great teaching the boys how to hook and land flounder, and they loved learning from him. He even let the boys feed the pelicans the scraps from our cleaned fish, which was probably the most exciting part for my 8 year old! We had blackened porgy and a whole mess of fried flounder.Great boat, great captain, and great outfit. We had our trip planned months in advance, but a few days before the weather turned bad. Our condo wasn’t refundable, and the whole point of our trip was for the fishing experience. Captain LW contacted other captains he trusted to find us an alternative on the only nice day of our trip, and refunded our deposit. Rarely do I encounter a business so kind to you when they know you’re taking your business elsewhere. Captain LW is a man of honor, and we hope to have the pleasure of fishing with him in the future.

Well worth the money! We were nervous about the storms coming in but captain Brett helped us reach our limit of Spanish mackerel within 2.5 hours. We then went out and caught a big sheepshead. It was so fun and they live up to the best fishing in Destin title! We will be back in the future. ☺️

I didnt get the chance to fish with Captain LW, but he was so accommodating of my last-minute plans, and went out of his way to get us set up with another charter who had availability to fit us in when his schedule didnt allow for our very specific plans. Seems like a great guy, and I hope we get to charter with him in the future!

We had the best experience nearshore fishing with Captain Chuck! It was obvious he knew the waters like the back of his hand. He took us to the beach spots to ensure that we were getting some bites. The boat was clean, comfortable, and very nice! 10/10 experience! We caught lots of flounder and Chuck filleted the fish fresh off the boat for us. Another great day of fishing with LW. Been fishing with him for over 10 years and there is not a better guide for trout fishing in the bay. If u are looking for a good fishing trip while in Destin, LW is the man. I have fished all over the world and LW never disappoints.

My father in-law and I went out today and did some nearshore fishing with Captain Chuck with IntraCoastal Experience. I can’t express enough how great of a time we had with Captain Chuck, he is very personable, and passionate about his guide trips. Even when we caught our own bait it was fun and exciting. It took about 15min to get our bait caught and we were off to fish. We first started trolling for Spanish and King Mackerel, if Captain Chuck didn’t like the action we were getting, then we reeled up, and headed to the next spot. We also did some bottom fishing and had a ton of action which a lot of the fish were not in season so we had to catch and release. It was very fun to catch those fish even though we couldn’t keep them. Captain Chuck told us exactly what to do and how to do it. We ended the day with four King Mackerel, three Spanish Mackerel, and two Mingo snappers to take home. But we caught tons more fish then that but just couldn’t keep them because of the season. We also had one King Mackerel that was an inch to short to keep and two King Mackerel that got off right at the boat. At the end of the trip Captain Chuck dressed all our fish! If you want to go with a guide that is friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable then you need to book a trip with Captain Chuck IntraCoastal Experience! We will book again!

We just finished our second outing with Intracoastal Experience in 3 months and it was as outstanding as the first! Both times we have brought 4 children ranging from ages 8 through 12 and each time all have caught at least one large seasonal fish that was great eating. Yesterday we caught 11 Red Snappers, including one Mangrove and those were just the keepers. We had a similar experience in Mid-March with Sheepshead and Spanish Mackerel. These excursions are for all experience levels as we had virtually none our first time out. Thanks to Captains Chuck and LW for providing memorable experiences for our families. These trips have quickly become the highlight of our vacations. We will be using Intracoastal for all of our trips in the future and cant wait for the next one!

The Captain makes the trip... either fun or less than enjoyable. Knowledge and personality go along way. Capt LW made this trip awesome! We caught our first fish quickly after the first cast. If we went more than a few minutes between catches, he knew exactly where to move to and immediately start catching again. Capt LW developed a good rapport with all of us which made the trip even better. This is our 5th year to fish while in Destin but we all agreed this was our favorite!

I followed the website instructions and received confirmation. There were availability’s on my dates. Captain LW even called me within 10 minutes. Had a nice conversation with LW and somewhere he was all of the sudden booked. I’m not going to speculate on anything. I did email LW to see if he could refer another guide and have yet to hear from him. The one star is strictly from the unprofessional way he handled the situation. We have since booked the trip with another guide. LW, I was looking forward to adding another 5 star review to you dossier. Unfortunately for you it will be going to another guide.

We looked at many Destin Florida Fishing Charters before we decided to book with Intracoastal Experience. They had over 600 Five Star Reviews on the Internet, a great website and very up to date photographs which all made our decision easy. My family are all novice fishermen but wanted to catch high quality and a nice amount of fish. The great folks at Intracoastal met and exceeded our expectations by targeting and successfully guiding my family to the fish we were looking for Redfish, Speckled Trout and Flounder on the Inshore Bay. We were so excited that we decided to book a Nearshore Gulf trip the next day. Our expectations were again exceeded and we were put on some hard fighting Grouper, Amberjack and a variety of Snapper.

FIVE STAR QUALITY!!Last year we went out deep to fish with a different charter, was a phenomenal experience but wanted to try something different. Capt. Chuck and IntraCoastal Experience was FANTASTIC with our selected near shore fishing experience and I was able to real in my target fish Mahi-Mahi. Capt Chuck has been fishing these waters for years and was very knowledgeable. We caught all types of fish. We attempted to shark and tarpon fish towards the end with no luck but that is why they call it fishing and not catching. I will definitely will be a repeat customer when I am in the area and want to fish for them large bull reds and sea trout! Give em a call, you will not be let down! What a great fishing trip. Team ICX did not disappoint! We opted for the Nearshore Gulf trip and were fishing within 10 minutes of leaving the docks. Bay FishingWe had a group of 2 adults and 4 kids all under 10. What an amazing morning of fishing, dolphins, planes, and fun. I wish I had the patience of LW!! Fishing was great and switched locations to keep finding them. I have been with several guides and he is by far the best. Can’t wait till July for another trip. Thanks LW for a great adventure and my kids keep asking when we are going again.

This review is 2 years overdue! After planning a 4th of July week long trip to Destin, I wanted to do something a little different with our friends while we were there. After a little homework, I came across Capt. LWs website and the reviews, wow! A couple of phone calls later, we booked a date.And he didnt disappoint! Let me just say, the booking was easy, the trip was well planned, he knew all the spots and he was so wonderful and gracious to us. Couldnt have found anyone better for what we were looking for!Even though the fishing wasnt that great after a holiday weekend filled with fireworks and extra boat activity, I should have known better hindsight, he still managed to put us on some fish. What a guy! I would not hesitate to book with him again! Perfect rig up for 4-6 people and well worth the experience!

My First Inshore Fishing TripLet me start with I love fishing all types of fish. Capt. LW made my first inshore trip awesome! If you’re looking for a very professional,friendly and great fishing look no further. We hit our limit on specs and reds on half day trip out. I’m looking forward to our next trip in the fall with Capt LW.

Great Father / Son TripThis is the second year in a row that my family and I have visited the Destin area. Last year we rented a house in Destin and went with Capt. LW because he was close. This year, we were staying in Navarre Beach and GLADLY made the 45 minute drive to Destin to once again go out with Capt. LW. He continues to be responsive and very courteous. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Captain LW was an awesome guide who gave us a great day on our first family vacation. This fall I will book him again and hopefully again next year. Couldnt have asked for a much better day.

Best Inshore Fishing Trip in 11 years!!!I’ve been planning and booking trips for myself and friends for 11 years. This inshore experience and Capt. L.W. provided us the best trip we have had in 11 years. I simply told Capt. we target specs and We hit the specs and hit them hard limiting out and also limited out on reds! Don’t look any longer and book a charter. Capt L.W. Is the real deal.

Weve fished with LW for 2 years now and weve never left disappointed. We fished with him yesterday and the trout and redfish bite were awesome. Would recommend LW to anyone regardless of their fishing knowledge or experience. Hes a great guide and a great guy!
