Wonderful day fishing on the “Finest Kind”. Captain Jason, Zack and John were a great bunch to fish with. Those guys worked super hard for us to have the best experience! Rough seas today but was worth it for sure!

Nice, clean boat. Captain Jason and his mates (Zach and Luke) were awesome! We had a party of 15 and everyone caught a fish! We caught our limit of red snapper, even a grouper. On the way back trolling we caught some king mackerel. Good eating! We even booked last minute and Captain Jason was a pleasure to work with!

Very fun! Our whole family enjoyed fishing! Jason and Zack were awesome and very helpful. We literally fished the WHOLE time! We showed up at 5:45am and they were all prepared and ready to go. We fished so much our arms were sore for 3 days. We will definitely do it again! The boat was very clean and kid friendly. We went home with so much fish! It was a really fun successful fishing day thanks to Jason and Zack! A+++ for the Captain and his deck mate.

I did a day deep sea fishing trip with some friends - they were great. Nice, clean boat and crew took good care of us. Left with Mahi, Mackerel, and 6 nice Amberjack (which was the limit). Some reviews talked about being close to shore - seems like your target fish is going to dictate where you go. We were offered several options depending on how far we wanted to go out and what we wanted to catch.

Captain Jason and First Mate Zach was absolutely amazing!! He found us all kinds of fish every time we dropped the line we had a fish. Very friendly and the boat was amazing as well. Would recommend using them and we will be back.

Hello everyone. I would like to share my experience with the Finest Kind. I paid $290 to go out Deep Sea fishing on 06/26/2019. I looked at the reviews once I found out that I could go out on this charter as a group. When I was reading these reviews I noticed that the NEGATIVE reviews were kayakers complaining about the Finest Kind trolling to close to them, and that with a boat like this one should be using the deep waters of the Gulf instead of a mile or 2 off the coast. I went ahead and booked my trip because the reviews didnt have anything to do with the boat/fishing itself. Once we went out on this boat we were only about 2-3 miles, give or take a few, off the coast (I could still see the white sand beaches). I would say we probably went between 25-35 miles up the coast but we definitely did NOT go 25-35 miles out to sea. I can see why the Kayakers got so mad because I got mad about being so close to the shore. The meaning of Deep Sea fishing is: a kind of fishing that requires a trip out into the Gulf of Mexico and its deep waters and requires a trip up the Intercoastal Waterway out into the ocean far from land. The water depth should be at least 30 meters (98ft) deep to be considered deep sea fishing. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because we did catch really nice Red Snapper and our Limit at that within the first 5 hours. What pissed me off the worst is because we paid for an 8 hour trip, had our limit in 5 hours, and didnt even get to make a cast after that. The Captain had the first mates throw 2 lines out to troll for King Mackerel which I thought was wrong considering there is also great Grouper in the Gulf to be caught as well but the Captain said you have to book a longer trip than 8 hours. I know better than that because I went out 4 seperate times when I was a teenager in Destin, on a boat called Daybreak, with the Captains name being Bob. We always booked a 6 hour trip with Bob and he always took us 2 hours out to sea and put us on Red Snapper and Grouper and within 2 hours of fishing the cooler on the bout was completely full of Red Snapper and Grouper both. I just want everyone to know that if you want to be given a chance to catch Red Snapper and Grouper, go out to the Deep Sea and not so close the coast, you REALLY might want to consider another charter boat. If you are ok with seeing the white sand the whole 8 hours, enjoy moving around A LOT to different spots along to coast, and only given a chance to catch your limit of Snapper before putting all of the rods up I would think that you would be REALLY HAPPY. The boat FINEST KIND is probably the nicest and cleanest boats I have ever been on.

Absolutely the best charter Ive ever been on. Jason knows where to find fish and Alex knows how to help you get them in the boat. Ive never been on a boat before where the deck hand worked that hard to make sure everyone on the boat caught as much as possible. Im gonna try to charter them at least twice a year from here on out. Really awesome time

Jason and Alex are awesome. I went out on several boats in the area during my stay and without a doubt Alex is the hardest working and friendliest deck hand around. The captain definitely knows his stuff. While most boats brought in a few fish we brought in over 100 and tossed back that many or more because they were out of season. When I go back I will for sure charter with them again. Thanks guys for a wonderful trip

The best boat captain on the Gulf of Mexico and not a better first mate than, Zach. First class gentlemen who work their tails off to ensure a great trip. We caught our limit in three foot seas. Zach, your MS people are big fans. We will be back.

Myself and 4 other kayakers were fishing off Navarre beach today, 17 Jun 19, when the captain of the Finest Kind closed in and trolled within 50 yards of us. The entire Gulf of Mexico and he has to try and wake kayakers. He isn’t the Finest Kind, definitely the Worst Kind.

I was in a kayak off the beach and Finest Kind trolled within a few feet of my kayak. Their lines got all tangled up in my kayak. I am 13. My dad hooked into a huge sailfish earlier and he handed the rod off to me after a while. I was reeling in the fish when the boat trolled through me and I had to cut the line... I later heard from locals that sailfish are really rare to catch around destin and this guy was the reason I had to cut the line on this rare sailfish when their lines got tangled in my line. The captain of Finest Kind may know what he is doing but he sure made it clear he doesnt care about other fisherman around him.

Deck hands and captain are the best!! We had 7 in our group and all of us fished all we wanted while the deck hands kept us baited and our catches taken care of. They are the very best of the best!!

Zero respect for other fisherman on the water. What’s the point of going out and having an expensive offshore boat to just go and troll a mile off the beach in kayak/diving structure? Use your boat for what it’s meant for and stay away from kayakers.
