Huge shout out to Captain Joe and Scott with Silver Lining. These guys are very experienced and knowledgeable! Most of all, I really appreciated their patience and hard work in making this fishing trip exciting and fun for us. My son loves to fish and this was the pinnacle of our vacation for him. Don’t hesitate - book your trip before they are sold out!! This was definitely worth the money spent. We plan on coming back to fish with these guys again, hopefully sooner rather than later :-)

Captain Joe made the experience amazing. He knew where to find the fish and if we had a lull in bites, he moved us to a new area. His First Mate Scott was amazing, he made sure we all had what we needed to have a fun, successful trip. This is the 6th year that we have taken a morning 6 hour trip with Capt Joe with the Silver Lining. He never fails to provide an amazing experience. All family members caught multiple fish, And I caught a king Mackerel it was amazing. There were several fish that were out of season but we still caught a lot of fish and had a great time.

Captain Joe and Scott made our sweet family vacation worth it even more worth it when they secured a fishing trip for us, despite the unexpected weather conditions. Captain Joe made a safe call to keep us in the bay, rather than to jeopardize treading unsafe waters- in order for our kids (5 total under 7) to experience a fishing trip. My cousin flew from California and her family, as well as ours, we’re looking so forward to a deep sea trip. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow for that to happen. However, Captain Joe found a way to make a trip happen. We are so grateful for his kindness and communication throughout our trip, in order to make it work. Captain Joe and Scott took us out for a 6 hour bottom fishing trip. They didn’t disappoint. Nearly 50 gosh in 6 hours and ended the trip with a 6-7ft shark. They were knowledgeable and great at what they do. They were also incredibly friendly and made you feel at home on the water.

Absolutely amazing fishing trip with these guys. Found the best honey holes and caught the best fish. Very patient with our two 11-year-olds boys. I would highly recommend them to anybody in Destin Florida looking for a charter fishing trip. And Im very picky. And I grew up in Destin. The sad thing is due to fishing season we did have to throw a bunch of fish back but he took us to places we could keep the mackerel and such. But at least we got some great photos and some adrenaline rushes

We had the time of our lives on our deep sea fishing adventure aboard the Silver Lining! Captain Joe and Captain Ed were awesome. The waters were pretty choppy when we were out. We were all very grateful that we had such experienced guys taking care of us. Joe worked non-stop to make sure we were set up and made sure everyone knew what they needed to do. We caught our max amount on King Mackerel and mine even won the daily Rodeo award for largest King Mackerel!!! I did not expect that to happen. Ive never had so much fun fishing in all my life! If youre looking for a charter boat to take you and your crew out, go with these guys. They answer their phones, they have the best website and they actually care about what they do and make sure you have a successful trip. I hope I get to come back do this again!

Just an absolutely incredible experience. Captain Joe was great in communicating beforehand and answering any questions I had. On the trip, Joe put us on top of the fish all afternoon. His deckhand, Scott, was AMAZING! Such a hard worker! He was great with my 14 yo son and my 17 yo daughter. Kept them reeling in fish all afternoon. Afterwards, Scott filleted the fish, bagged it up, and referred us to a local restaurant (Brotula’s I think). One of the best meals I’ve ever had.Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Capt. Joe and Scott.

Starting from my first phone conversation with Capt. Joe, I felt very at ease that the Silver Lining was exactly what would be best for our party. Fish till our arms fell off!!! Thats exactly what happened when he put us on the fish, limiting out and with multiple C&R 20+ lb Snappers and Jacks. The highlight may have been that Wahoo that pushed 70 lbs.The Silver Linings 1st mate, Scott was non-stop hustling making sure everyone was ready for that next fish, from bait to equipment and fishing knowledge.Bottom line: we will be rebooking the Silver Lining again next year.

Captain Joe and his deck hands are extremely professional. We had a excellent time. We had several first timers. That with a few good tips from the deck hands they were landing fish left and right. We caught several great fish trolling and at their locations. Very fun worth every penny!!!!

Been going out on Destin charters for 20+ years and can vouch, Captain Joe is a champ! Ran a great half-day trip today, hauled in 20+ fish, everyone had a blast — even the first-timers. He knows his spots, kept the day moving, and the boat had everything we needed.First mate Scott was also a soldier for us. Great banter, kept the lines baited with zero downtime, and made sure our crew was having max fun. Just be careful throwing around “War Eagle” ;)A+++ highly recommended!My suggestion is either a 5 or 6 hour tour. The 4-hour wouldn’t be enough time on the reels. These guys rock.

Joe and his crew really know what they’re doing. They took us to multiple spots for red snapper and grouper and made sure we left with a cooler full of fish. If you want to catch fish and a lot of then go with Capt Joe and Jake! They are the best in class. Capt Joe knows the Gulf and where the fish are every time. He also did a great job holding the boat over the holes without getting the fishing lines crossed. Jake is super fast keeping bait on your line, knowledgeable, and works with you to learn whether its your first time or you are an experienced deep sea fisher. Money well spent and had a great time.

This was my first time deep sea fishing with silver lining and it won’t be my last. I went with my fiancé and her family for the weekend and Capt Jo and and his 1st mate Jake were AMAZING. Jo took us to great fishing spots loaded with fish. All of our lines were constantly getting bites. We ended up with about 50 fish. And Jake was always there to help when we needed. He was very quick and alert and very helpful, especially for a rookie angler like me. And with his help by the end of the trip I felt like a pro. I would definitely recommend Silver Lining. My 10 year old son and I had a great trip! Captain Joe and 1st Mate Jake were amazing with us. We had no experience with off shore fishing. They took care of everything. We caught some great fish and made countless memories. We enjoyed every part, including taking our catch that Jake had prepared to local restaurants and having them cook our catch to order. The boat was great. Cabin has AC which is great for our Florida heat and humidity. They filleted our fish for us and AJs restaurant cooked them for our lunch!
