Unfortunately our fishing trip had to be cancelled due to the boats motor overheating. While they communicated well during the process due to my wife asking direct questions, the communication was through email while we were vacationing with family. We were sent an email at 9:00PM the night before our 6:00AM fishing trip the next morning. Luckily my wife was checking emails on vacation. A phone call would make more sense. The Captain informed us that they were hoping to fix the motor issue in time for our fishing trip. Again, it wasn’t until my wife asked if we should show up for our 6:00AM fishing trip that the Captain said it won’t be fixed until later. We asked him about him getting another boat, and if he couldn’t take us out if he could find someoneuu in his network of fishing friends to. At the same time we were searching for other fishing charters, as there were not many options for a last minute trip.This fishing trip was for one our sons birthday, his present. When I told the Captain it was a gift for my sons birthday, his response was “you can use this as a life lesson for your son that sometimes things don’t always go as planned” is just unprofessional and quite honestly not something you say to a paying customer. Probably a good thing it got cancelled as that is not the type of person I need my children around on a vacation. We were refunded our deposit. We chose East Pass Inshore Charters for the great reviews, but clearly not everyone had the experience we had. Like any business, reviews help them get customers and they can pay for reviews. Clearly I am not one of those paid reviews. I was hesitant to write this review, but I don’t want others to experience what we went through.

Excellent experience on a 4 hour tour. Only took about 25 minutes to get to Snapper. Caught the person limit. The captain provided good instruction on technique. We had a party of 3, perfect size boat; could probably carry 4 comfortably, but would be tight for 5-6. Would recommend and would book again!
