Our trip was so much fun! We chose catch and release over taking home fish and they were able to cater our experience to that choice. We managed to catch a few larger red snapper and even a shark!Preston is an excellent captain -- very professional but still easy to talk to and have fun with. Hudson, the first mate, was so fun helping us fish and was very patient teaching us (me) how to use a fishing rod. Had great conversations and laughed plenty. Hadley was so accommodating with our schedule changes and very easy to work with.Would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to deep sea fish.

What an amazing experience. Preston and Hudson really enjoy their jobs! We hammered the snapper and were well taken care of. We no more than had lines in the water and we were getting hits! I will 100% will be using these guys for my next trip!

I am thankful to be able fish quite often and throughout my life I have been with a lot of captains. Gulf Angler is the best. Preston has been taking our family since he began. Hadley and Preston have seen our children grow up. There are no better people. In fact, we have a photo album dedicated to all the memories made with these special people. And thats the truth!

The crew and the overall experience of our fishing trip were fantastic! Our plan was to do Catch to Table fishing so with the help Captain Preston and First Mate, Hudson we managed to wrangle in a quite a few wonderful fish. From Vermilion snapper (also known as the Mingo) Black Snapper, quite a few larger red snapper (Which were out of season, so back they went) and some Triggerfish! Preston and Hudson were fantastic to work with and both had a great balance of professionalism and southern charm. Hudson, the first mate, had his worked cut out with us patiently teaching us how to use the fishing gear and keeping our “Fishing Circus” on the right track. Once back at the dock, Preston got to filleting the fish we kept and they recommend we take them to Broutula’s Seafood House and Steamer (Which was just up the dock) and have them prepared as the Chef’s Choice. We did just that and I have to say the fresh meal was prepared wonderfully as family style, with our choice of sides. The fish was prepared 3 ways (Fried, Grilled and Blackened) and was delicious! I would recommend this overall experience to anyone who is looking to deep sea fish and dine afterwards.

Preston and the Home Grown were amazing. They knew where to stop to fish and we caught our limit of red snapper super fast, with a shark thrown in for good measure. The boat was super clean, ice cold AC and a great first mate that was nice, knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time.

Captain Chris is an excellent charter captain. Most professional and attentive. We’ve fished with these guys three time’s during last ten years. Always a good trip.

Horrible customer service! Booked weeks in advance got there to fish at 6 am and was told the boat was broke down! No phone call, no email. Nothing! Very disappointed in this company! Horrible way to run your business! Then the lady had the nerve to call us and cuss us out for leaving a one star review. Very unprofessional. Find another fishing charter!!!!

Hadley awnsered the phone and was very chipper, she awnsered all my questions.I took my son and brother in law on a fishing trip with Captain Jayson, what a nice guy and very down to earth. We all had a blast. I highly recommend these guys!

We highly recommend Captain Kris! We had a great time on our 4 hour charter with him. He was very patient with us and our two young boys. We caught a few Red Snapper and some trigger fish. Next time we will go for 6 hours instead!

We were looking for a new charter for our yearly trips to Destin and we have most Definitely found one with gulf angler fishing.....Hadley worked hard to find us a boat in such a fast time frame and communication was excellent...when we arrived for our 12:45pm trip capt kris had just returned and he informed us that it was rough seas and bottom fishing was out of the question, without hesitation he offered to take us out at 6am the next morning...he could have easily took us out knowing that fishing was bad and got our money and went on the way but you can tell that they actually care and want you to have an enjoyable trip and they succeeded every expectation! We will be fishing with this company for years to come. Thank you for the experience!

Customer service is trash!!!! Went to fish and was told the boat was broke down after we booked before even traveling to Florida. Never got a phone call or anything. Very disappointed

Customer service is trash. Wasnt told till I was about to board the boat that they had engine troubles. And then when he said he called me he had info from the customer that he took out 3 days prior. Need less to say my kids are super disappointed that they where not able to go fishing. Go find a different charter.

Went to go fishing with my dad and they told us the boat was broke down. Very sad we couldnt fish. We came out of state just to fish here and never got a call or anything. Very disappointed customer service SUCKS!

We had another amazing trip on the Home Grown Capt Preston and Cowboy did again. Our 7th trip with these guys and boy did they put us on the fish. Limit of large snapper also caught grouper banded rudder fish trigger fish large Mingos and Bonita. They also put me on 3 large sharks that we landed to the boat. These guys are amazing. Can’t wait until we return in September. Any one considering a trip with this crew don’t hesitate they are great fisherman and also a lot of fun. You will never go wrong with a trip on the Home Grown.

Capt. Drew is an amazing Captain and put us on fish the entire trip. Caught 6 different species, limited out on red snapper and released all of others not in season. Drew was nteractive and made the trip a ton of fun. Nothing worse than a boat Captain that doesnt speak or tell stories, but thats not Drew. Drew is a master of his craft and highly recommend him and Gulf Angler Fishing Charter. Thanks for a great trip.

Me and 5 other anglers went out on the summer soltice ( June 20 , 2020 ) trolling for wahoo and deep dropping for yellow edge & snowy grouper. We were going to hit some red snapper holes on the way in. No room in the box though. Black fin tuna , mahi & long tailed sea bass put the icing on the cake. I highly recommend them. Homegrown is grade-A.

Drew took out a crowd of 3 of us this week. We all had a great experience and would definitely look no where else when we come back to the Destin area. We went out with captain drew and there where 4 of us he only had 3 poles and all we caught was one amberjack probably 20 inches long and a bigger bait fish
