I have a 30 year old conga that needed a replacement head. A couple stores told me it was too hard to find or source. Lone Star asked for pictures and measurements then worked with the manufacturer to find an appropriate replacement. They stuck with it and never quit. Absolutely fantastic customer service that resulted in a like-new conga and a fan for life. Thanks!

I have been purchasing drum related items from Lone Star Percussion for several years. Even though all my purchases have been online since I dont reside in the area, they have always been top notch! Just the best there is. When I have inquired about snare drum cases they were super quick to respond! Always a great place and true to their motto, they do Speak Drum!

A little sad to see the showroom bare, empty, and tuneless. I am glad to see the business has been able to adjust and still provide a somewhat easy shopping experience.I do believe their ordering process could step it up a notch and be a little more autonomous. That is to say... It would be nice to order, pay, and schedule a pickup time all online without having to call and provide my credit card info to a salesman.

Weve been coming here for years. Great people and products. Often get someone different helping us but they are always helpful. We bought a marimba from them about 4 years ago. Good quality. We buy sticks, mallets and apparel often. Great place to get gifts. Love that we have this gem so close by.

Past experiences were great, today though? They bombed. Told me something was in stock, I asked to put hands on it and verify. No need! We have 3 in the computer drove across Dallas on a tight event schedule in Dallas traffic no less to the proverbial Sorry dude, apologies. We dont have it.... I guess they cant all be winners. SAM ASH for the score the win and rescue. Still a decent shop overall. Just really disappointed today for the waste of event time.

Today was my first time in the store, usually shop, online. Those guys are awesome! Walked in with my list, as one guy was ringing up my order, another was grabbing my stuff. I was in and out in 5 minutes!! (Usually I spend at least a half hour waiting in line for an associate at music and arts) I will be back! Super impressed!

Wow. Have had a REALLY frustrating experience with these folks. After waiting over 3 weeks to get the item to ship, I find their carrier wants $70 more in import fees. I tried to explain to customer service that import fees only apply when the person is re-selling and Ive never had a request for import fees with any of the other international shipments Ive received. I further explained that this suggests the shipment was set up in error. The rep told me there was nothing to be done but pass the message to the company owner, who is out of town. Apparently theres a shipping person at the shop, but they couldnt talk to me cuz they were expecting a call from someone else. Im sure the products are great and sure wish Lone Star could set up deliveries the way every other vendor seems to! Oh, well. Im sure they sell drums in Canada...

Don’t get me wrong they did get the job done. But I had to constantly call to follow up on my order. If not 3 weeks would go buy and when I call and ask. What a coincidence they would say my order just came in. Everytime I call I get different answers from different staff members. They get the job done. But it’s not hassle free.

Went there 9/16/17. Super small sales floor, all drums cramped together so no demoing anything, most of stock in warehouse and not assessable to customers, all the cool new things on market are not on the floor, I ask to try a brand new head ( they had 1 out & sold it but did not bother to put another one out yet) out on market, they said no you have to buy it first, not friendly, 6 customers standing in line waiting. I will not buy from them. Lots of other net stores or locals will get my money. -4 * rating here.

I ordered 2 items on backorder in August. I have emailed customer service multiple times to be told it will be 2 more weeks again and again. My last email has gone unanswered for 2 weeks now. I cant seem to get a refund although Ive asked for one twice now. I just want the items I paid for and then I will never purchase another item from this business. I would rather pay more than deal with the terrible customer service. Shame on you.

Im from Ohio, and Ive watched their videos and seen their posts online, bought some stuff from their online store too. I was in Dallas visiting amily and decided to drive 40 minutes or so to see this great drum shop in person that Ive seen online so many times. First I was just listening to some cymbals, checking out the inventory. Got a pair of sticks and went up to the counter, and asked how much the lanyards were, and Mr. Jose J. Gutierrez Jr., Percussion Specialist, went above and beyond for me, for no apparent reason, other than him just being a great guy. He gave me a tour of the warehouse part and showed me where they record the videos. Their inventory is mind blowing, and they have such an awesome stuff. Best drum shop ever, for sure.

Although they didnt have exactly what I needed, they tried their best and offered me several alternatives, they were also very nice.

Best cymbal display Ive ever seen.But, I was there for drum information; specifically drum rack, drum stick, and drum lesson information. The salesman Chad (at first, I thought he was the owner the way he represented Lone Star), was eager to impart as much factual information as I could process. And this 20 year veteran did so in such a way as to not make me - a two year neophyte, feel stupid. He was great. Long story short, after a fascinating tour of Lone Stars amazing back-end operations and studios, I walked out with a Lone Star tee shirt, two pairs of drum sticks and a 4-piece set of Pearl Reference drums. Although the drums were on display in their showroom, Chad saw to it that my new drums were repackaged into their original boxes with all the original packaging materials. I just cant imagine a nicer drum store experience!

Always so willing to help and get me what I need for my drum lessons company that works with special needs children. Anywhere from djembes to stands, Chad Ford and the rest of the crew get it done!

Second year of having to order the middle school starter kit for my daughters. The first order last year came in two parts several months after ordering them and we didnt receive everything. Now second daughter same situation. On top of it all they are not wanting to send the missing mallets. We ordered in July received first portion late Aug and if it is like last time we wont get the rest till Oct. After talking with my daughters majority of the kids are having the same issue. Never recommending this place to anyone.

Are there any tenor practice pads for marching in the store not online

I am a HS Percussion Instructor from Brookhaven MS and have done business with LSP for years. I recently had a Big order and had to make many unexpected changes. One of their customer reps named Markus was there every step of the way. I had no problems with communication and in fact they had a question of what I wanted and called me. If you need anything drum related then LSP is where you want to go. They will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need.

I ordered a tunable Daf and received a drum that was not tunable. I emailed the company who does not seem to believe me and has requested photos so they can determine the issue. The issue is the drum they sent is not tunable.

Poor communication. Order was never shipped to me, after a month I finally got ahold of someone for them to say oh sorry we no longer have that item! No followup, no calls, nothing. And no appologies on their end, very poor customer service. They did not even try to make things right. Will not do business with them ever again! I suggest going elsewhere for your music needs.

Now this location isnt 40 ft from a 70 mph expressway but once I found it had my new Promark Drumsticks and was in and out so smoothly I thought to myself, This is the QuickTrip equivalent of *no bs* heres your drumsticks, see ya later! Lone Star Percussion....Go There, youll be glad ya did.
