Very knowledgeable, does not work on battery powered clocks, but I had an old Seth Thomas mantel clock that came from my grandpa to my dad to me, and he refurbished it within 1 week. Other reviews says this guy is grumpy, hes not, hes wonderful. He took the time to explain how this old clock needed to be wound up, how to make it go faster or slower, how often I needed to wind it up and appreciated the craftsmanship of it. Highly recommended!

I have been taking my watches there for many years. Ambrose may not know me by name, but that’s ok because I can overlook that. He is very professional, has a lot of knowledge, his shop is very clean and in order and his service is fast! I will continue taking my watches there and , as a matter of fact, I have a clock I’m taking him to get his expert advice on whether it’s worth fixing or not. I trust him.

Took in my husbands watch for a battery change and the customer service and fast turnaround is amazing! The location is old but thats how you know that they know their stuff. They dont accept card which is posted for all customers to see which may be a downfall for some since most people now at days rarely carry cash. But no biggie since theyre in a good location with plenty of places to around it with ATMs.

Very happy with the experiences that I have had with getting watches repaired. Usually in and out in minutes for quick fixes or a day or two for more extensive repairs.

The owner is Incredibly rude, and offers a valuable trade with a twist - horrible attitude and customer service. My experience with him was the single worst consumer experience of my life. He was rude, argumentative and downright miserable. I dont know how he stays in business with his demeanor and attitude.We actually argued there at the front counter simply because I asked him a question about the work he did on my watch. I was stunned at his response and I immediately got into an argument with him about it, which is rare. Ive heard nothing but bad about him since my experience there. Reference the other review here and youll see what I mean. I truly believe him to be a terrible person and in need of some serious help. Keep your watch or clock away from here. Customers deserve better than this. I truly look forward to the day I see the shop closed down for business. Only then will I be satisfied that the watch and clock world is a better place.

Ambrose disappeared for a while - but finally called me. He had been the victim of an armed robbery! He is back at work and fixed two watches for me. Great work. Im very happy.

Called about if my Philip Stein watch could be repaired. The male that answered the phone was blunt but courteous. HE DOESNT REPAIR WATCHES WITH A BATTERY. I had no idea there was a caste system for watches. Lol

He repaired my Invicta watch last time perfectly, however when I went today he notified me that he no longer works on Invicta watches....

I have taken 4 pocket watches in for him to repair these are watches that were over 80 years old. He did an excellent job on each watch I brought in. As far as atitude I did not have a problem with him. He is strickly busness type of a person from what I can see. He also called before starting the work to let me know what the price would be to repair the watch to make sure I wanted to go ahead with the repair. Just wish he would take a chg card he deals in cash.

Brought in a clock to repair. Was told in a very nasty way that no one works on those clocks anymore. Charged me $5 to put my crystal back onto my watch. First place I phoned in San Antonio said they would try to get parts for me. Dont expect any service from this place.

I had the same experience as other users have described here. He actually fixed my watch, and did a good job, but man was he rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. I wont ever go back. Such a shame some people have to be be that way.

Simply rude. Took my watch in (Tissot). He said he didnt work on watches of this kind and walked away.
