Absolutely the best dental experience I’ve ever had! Highly highly recommend !

Everyone at the Dental Centre of Conroe is phenomenal! The front desk staff, dental assistants, and Dr. Richards are all kind, respectful, and professional. I went in to get a tooth filed down and Dr. Richards spent some time discussing potential treatment options and gave his recommendation for how to proceed. Not five minutes later, I was out! Dr. Richards was prompt and very personable. I would highly recommend his office! They’re currently following all the CDC guidelines and taking appropriate precautions. The office is spotless and very well maintained. Pandemic or no, Dr. Richards and his team and fantastic!

I called Dr. Richardson’s office on a Saturday morning and got the voicemail. I loved the fact that his voice is what I heard on the voicemail greeting, and he also left his personal cell number. His response time was Exceptional! How many people can say that they have their dentist cell phone number as a contact in their iPhone??? I highly recommend Dr. Richardson for all your dental needs. You won’t find a better choice.

Another awesome visit today. Dr. Richards was able to fit me in to fix a tooth that had a piece crack off. He and his staff were gracious, kind and caring. They definitely know the right way to run a business putting their patients first. The best ever which is why I always recommend them!!

I was traumatized as a child at the dentist and have been a horrible dentist patient ever since then. Even as an adult I have extremely bad anxiety when going to the dentist so I have been very nervous to go to the dentist. I made an appointment with Dr. Richards and I was very pleased with the treatment I received by not only him but his staff as well!!! Everyone made sure that I was comfortable and that everything went smoothly. I am VERY happy I made the appointment and found my new dentist.

I am a horrible dental patient and will do almost anything to not visit the dentist. I am so happy and relieved to get the necessary work that I was needing done. Absolutely the best Dental Center around! Dr. Richards and his staff are at the top of the leader board in their field. They are very professional, incredibly friendly and very reasonably priced. What I like the best however, is how comfortable they make everyone feel. Dr. Richards has a very steady hand and is great at keeping any pain or discomfort to a minimum if at all.

To start things off, I really really really despise dentist trips. I finally found a dentist who I loved while living in Austin but I have since relocated to Conroe. I started experiencing terrible tooth pains during the covid-19 pandemic and I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to find a dentist open to assist with the pain. I called this office and they were able to fit me in that day for x rays and see where the pain was stemming from. Turns out, I needed a tooth pulled and a bridge. Dr.Richards was very thorough with explaining my procedure to me. The day of the procedure he didn’t rush anything, and gave me lots of time to ensure I was numb before beginning. He talked the entire time letting me know what was going on, but not excessively. I didn’t even notice when the tooth was being pulled. I’m a weirdo who wanted to see my tooth and he showed it to me, showing where the infection was. I really appreciated this office helping me during this difficult time for everyone and I think I’ve found my new dentist

Dr. Richards saved me from so much unnecessary dental work. He and the staff are great. They make you feel very comfortable and are accommodating to your needs. I love thats its not about the money here but about the patient and their needs. You dont come around these types of doctors often so when you find them you keep them. Highly recommend!

I hate the dentist and went most of my life not going. Mainly because my past experiences were so horrible. Dr. Richards is a true master of dentistry. His office is incredibly well-run, his staff is impeccable, and he does amazing work. Theres no medical professional Ive experienced in my life that I could recommend more heartily than him.

The entire staff is always so great! Everything from making appointments that work for a busy mom of 4 to being ready for me the minute I walk in the door. Everyone is so kind and Dr. Richards is a great family man that really cares about the people he sees. He makes us feel like were more than just patients when he sincerely asks about updates on our family and visits with us when we happen to run into him in public. You can tell he has high standards for the people he hires as well! He cares about the quality of the work he does and making sure youre comfortable and happy each time you come and go. A great place full of wonderful people!

Dr. John is the only dentist Ill go to ever again, so hopefully he lives longer than I do! Seriously, there isnt a better dentist currently in practice and heres why: Its very common for a doctor to have EITHER great ability OR a great chair-side manner, but its effectively unheard of for a dentist to have both. Dr. John shows people what theyve been missing by going elsewhere, and once they come to him, they NEVER go anywhere else. Ever again. This is the very definition of pain-free dentistry. He is so friendly, considerate, and accommodating to everyone (especially cowards like myself), and his technique with administering shots...well...you never can tell exactly when he administers them. Yes, hes THAT good. Add to that a staff of unbelievably sweet assistants and hygienists who ACTUALLY ENJOY what they do/enjoy helping and being kind to people, and the bottom line is this: I dont fear--or even mind in the slightest--going to the dentist anymore. And thats the highest praise I could possibly give. Period. That sinking feeling I used to get when even thinking of a dental visit for ANY reason, along with my stomach being tied up in knots? Its gone. Forever. Dr. John Richards and his staff are simply the best, and thats all there is to it.

Dr. Richards and his office staff make an ordinary visit to the dentist extraordinary. He clearly has a passion for his work which is matched by his bedside manner. His patient, calm, and caring demeanor is second-to-none. Every facet of his office is finished to the highest degree and his work is impeccable. This is not your typical dental visit and Dr. Richards is well beyond your typical dentist. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Was flossing my teeth this morning and a crown from an implant popped off. This was an old implant/crown that had been in place for 8-9 years while living in Florida. I went by Dr. Richards office and within an hour was seen and everything taken care of. They squeezed me in between patients. Dr. Richards was able to put the crown back on and affix it to the implant. No pain. No discomfort. Thanks for making my day better.

Last year, after our familys dentist of many years retired, it became necessary for me to search for someone new. The selection of a dentist is major to me because it affects the health, comfort and finances of my family. After careful consideration, my husband and I began seeing Dr. Richards last Fall and our overall experience has been extremely positive. Procedure costs may be a bit above average, but the quality and level of care are excellent and the office staff is very helpful with treatment plan options and the filing of insurance. Dr. Richards office is relaxing, beautiful, and state of the art. The Dental Centre of Conroe has met, and exceeded, my high expectations for quality dental care by expert and caring professionals.

I have been very impressed on every level with this Dentist Office. I admit going to the dentist is not my favorite activity. However, the comfortable atmosphere of the office, the friendliness of the staff, little or no waiting, and most of all, the gentle nature and manner of Dr John make me and my 93 year old mother as comfortable as is possible in a doctors office. I have recommended him to quite a few of my friends and even gotten free movie tickets when friends went in to see him. Nice bonus, I say. Oh yea, I love getting the free teeth whitening every 6 months also.

Great place, as much as we all love dentistry, this group of people makes it bearable. Doctor Richards is great, gives good needle, has the latest in equipment and follows up with patients.....all skills that seem to be lost in the cookie cutter model of todays dentist. I was skeptical at first to see a new dentist, but immediately felt welcomed once Dr. Richards walked in. I have since only seen him and would not go anyone else, that’s been more than five years. I always feel welcome by all his staff members. Dr. Richards never rushes with me, he makes sure every question and any concerns are thoroughly answered. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards to everyone. It is true once you see him and his staff; you wouldn’t want to go to anyone else ever.

Dr. Richards is an excellent dentist. He is very good at his profession and is always ready to answer my questions. I do not feel rushed when he comes in. He allows me time to ask my questions and is always very understanding of my concerns. His staff is very professional, kind, understanding and always clean my teeth very well. His office staff is quick and they get me in and out in no time. Dr. Richards is very conservative with his work and does not do anything that is not needed. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area.

This was the best dental experience Ive ever had. I would recommend him to anyone. All of his staff is super friendly. He even personally called me the day after my appointment just to check on me. I will definitely be back (hopefully not soon though 😀)

I have been seeing Dr. Richards for the past 4 years and I have been very pleased. He does great work and I had minimum discomfort from all the procedures that he preformed. He takes a lot of pride in his work and practice. Everybody is very helpful and they makes us feel at home. I was recommended to him by a family member and I recommend him to anyone looking for dental work or wanting to make a change.

I read the reviews here and had high expectations when I went in and they met and even exceeded my expectations!!! My whole family will be going here including my kids (ages 5&2) and I hope Dr. Richards doesnt plan to leave anytime soon!! every staff member was really nice and courteous. I take care of my mouth as in I floss and brush on a regular basis. With my previous dentist after a regular cleaning my mouth would be tender. My hygienist was awesome. I could definitely tell my teeth had been cleaned but my mouth felt completely normal when I left, no soreness. This next part is what really blew me away. When I went to check out, they discovered that I had no insurance, (insurance company didnt add me and they were supposed to) they didnt expect me to pay!! They gave me the chance to talk with my insurance and find out what happened. I have since resolved the issue, but I know had I been anywhere else and ran into this issue they would have expected me to pay for the whole visit right then and there. Then submit to the insurance company and I would get reimbursed. Needless to say this place deserves its 5 out of 5 star rating!!!! They really care for their patients and are truly concerned with making you comfortable. If you have had bad dental experiences in the past, this is the place for you!!

Awesome experience! I went in with a broken tooth and came out with a crown. I couldnt believe how quick the entire process was! I didnt even feel the numbing shots! No yucky molding of my tooth area, temporary crown (and those so easily fall off) and then another appointment for the permanent one. Dr. Richards is totally professional and courteous -- he explained the process and checked on me throughout -- HE even called me the next day to see how I was doing. The numbness is gone, the crown is fitting perfectly and Im ready to go back for my next one! Thanks to Dr. Richards for a great experience. Ill be back!

A previous dentist left me with terrible teeth that made me feel hideous and uncomfortable in my own skin.Dr. Richards consulted with me for some time and determined that it would be in my best interest to see a specialist, which he referred me to.I am very happy with the specialist that he referred me to, and I am also very appreciative that Dr. Richards took time out of his busy schedule to call the specialist on my behalf. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist, even cleanings make me nervous. Ive been going to Dr. Richards (referred by at least two friends) and his excellent staff for a couple years now and although Ive needed work done since going to him, he has never been pushy. He is always honest with his opinions, and finally I made the decision to have work done. He made sure I was completely at ease before, during, and after the procedure and I cant believe I didnt have anything done sooner! Hardly any discomfort at all! I highly recommend Dr. Richards and any one of his hygienists (Ive seen two). Office is clean and welcoming, and they are usually always on schedule. My husband feels the same!

Dr. John and the entire staff are wonderful to go see. Not a typical dental visit. His office is very comfortable with televisions to make your experience more pleasant. The staff is super sweet and answers any questions you may have. Dr. John takes his time with you and doesnt rush you. He is a super dentist and doesnt suggest unnecessary procedures like other dentist I have been to in the past. I highly recommend them and him personally.

There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about this office. The staff are super amazing and friendly. Dr. Richard is amazing. He answered every question in great details. He also really cares about his patients too.

I highly recommend The Dental Centre of Conroe! My first visit was for a routine cleaning and to see about addressing some existing issues I was concerned with. My hygienist, Molly, was very professional and instantly made me feel at ease. During my visit, Dr. Richards was able to consult me on options for addressing my other concerns. He was also very professional, friendly, and answered any questions I had. I knew after this first experience, I would be coming back to let Dr. Richards take care of my dental concerns. I had two appointments this month with Dr. Richards and I could not be happier with my decision. I never felt any discomfort and he was very attentive to be sure I was always comfortable. Dr. Richards is fantastic. Top of the line equipment, super friendly staff, and a beautiful office. After having a filling replaced by another dentist a year prior, I ended up needing a crown. Dr. Richards is the best dentist I have yet experienced in my life. I have lived in six countries on four continents, and there is no competition between him and any other dentist on those four continents. Not only is Dr. Richards the best, most considerate, prompt, accommodating dentist Ive ever met, but he also surrounds himself with all the best assistants Ive ever had the privilege of dealing with. They all very obviously love their jobs, and they love serving others, so it is an amazing experience all around. It also should be mentioned that Dr. Richards (who has absolutely ZERO of the Im the doctor, and youre the patient, so shut up and hold still and/or the God complex so many doctors seem to have) has the best chair-side manner of any dentist (or doctor, for that matter) Ive ever met. In short, I actually look forward to going to the dentist. Really. And I never thought Id be able to (honestly) say that. But its true. I drive over an hour to go to Dr. Richards, and that wont change. EVER. Look no further. Dr. Richards in THE best in the business.

I have had some rough dental treatments in my time but when I met Dr. Richards I was totally relaxed. He is doing some implant work for me and I give him an A+He is so kind as well as all the ladies in his office. They are all taking excellent care of me !!!! I was in agony and it was of course in the weekend. I left a message on a machine and Cherish called me and then the doctor called me. They made room for me on Monday and that toothache is now a thing of the past. I had called other dentists that weekend and not a single person called back till Monday. Dr Richards called me when no one else did. Also, I wasn’t price gouged for my stupidity (putting tooth care off). Completely recommend and he is worth the hour I have to drive to him!

Dr. Richards is the best of the best! He is superbly trained, uses the most cutting edge technology and is way ahead of any other dentist I have ever seen. He is a gentleman and a man of integrity. His staff are cordial, very well trained and competent. This office practices real aseptic technique! Three other members of my family are his patients as well. I have been Dr. Richards patient for six years and never intend to go elsewhere. I drove nearly an hour to see him until 2014 when I moved another hour farther away to an area abounding with highly-touted cosmetic dentists. Now I drive 2 hours to see Dr. Richards!

Dr Richards and his entire staff are fantastic!! He is an excellent dentist and I really like the way he carefully explains everything to you. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia of 5 nerves and Dr. Richards is phenomenal when I need assistance. Going to a dentist when you have TN used to put me in a state of panic, but not anymore since I started going to Dr. Richards. Ive been a patient of Dr. Richards for almost 5 years and wont go anywhere else. I have a history of dental trauma and (on an anxiety scale of 1-10) Im a solid 12. Dr. Richards and his staff are kind, professional, friendly and educated in modern dentistry. The customer service? Its right up there with Sewell and Matress Mack. Dr. Richards personally calls to check up post-procedure. The facility is clean and their work is TOP NOTCH. You get what you pay for, folks.

Amazing experience with a crown on my front tooth. Could not have asked for a better dentist or staff. I would give them more stars if possible.

Let me start by saying this is not your ordinary Dentist Office. You would expect to walk into a bland waiting room with an unpleasant secretary and sit in a decrepit stadium seat; well you get none of those here. There are comfortable seats, coffee, computers and a fire place just to name a few features. On top of that the staff is happy, professional, helpful and polite. Ok now on to why we go to the dentist; TO BE TORTURED! Believe it or not this is the first time I have not wanted to get up and leave during a teeth cleaning. This is all thanks to the hygienist Morgan; she is super nice and gets the job done without bringing tears to your eyes. I forgot to mention that they do 3D scan for your first visit, awesome I know. So now we get to the dentist. You are probably expecting a weathered older gentleman to walk in the room and tell you to stop drinking soda pop. Well wrong again, Dr. Richards was younger than I expected and he made me aware of tooth care in a language I understood. They (Dr. Richards and his assistants) also did fantastic work on this guy (me) who is terrified of needles; between the TV and the conversation I didn’t even feel the shot and/or the drilling. I have 3 filled cavities and a crown still holding strong and without pain from last year. All in all this was one the best if not the best dentist office I have ever been too. So if you are in the market for a new dentist I suggest giving this office a shot.

I took my son for his first cleaning and they did a good job. He usually doesnt let anybody touch his teeth but they were very good at talking to him and making him feel comfortable. Good job!

WOW.......is the feeling I felt when I left The Dental Centre of Conroe. Dr. Richards and his staff were AMAZING. I have moved to the Dallas area since last seeing Dr. Richards and while visiting family I began experiencing severe dental pain. I called Dr. Richards office and he was able to work me into his busy schedule. Not only did he fit me in at the last minute but he stayed until almost 2 hours after his office closing. Dr. Richards did not make me feel like he was rushing but he was very caring and took his time and made sure I was very comfortable. I arrived to his office with pain but left with no pain and with the assurance that I could call Dr. Richards when and if I needed him. Unlike most dentists, he gave me his cell phone number to call or text with any concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards and his wonderful staff. It had been years since I had been to the dentist. You know how it is, when it rains it pours. First an old crown came off and broke right before vacation. I did not look forward to the whole “temporary cap” process and the mouth full of gunk while they get the new one made. Dr. Richards looked at it, and was willing to have me in early the next morning; he said I would walk out the next day with a new crown. Sure enough they did some fix up work along with some computer imaging and they made a crown right then and there. Maybe ten minutes. Did some clean up on it and I never had a crown fit so well. I’ve had friends recently get a crown elsewhere, moaning about still waiting on the crown. I pop out my phone and show them mine as it was being made.Then there was the wisdom tooth that had broken off and need to be taken out. I had other doctors talking oral surgeons, anesthesia, ugh. Not here, got it done and walked out and it wasn’t a bad experience. I have had no problems with the tooth or area since. I even got a call that evening from Dr. Richards checking on me and a follow up from his office a few days later.I’d recommend Dr. Richards and the whole group at The Dental Centre of Conroe. I trust them, they do good work, no long waits, friendly and a pleasurable environment. Bill

LOVE this office! Superb customer service from Dr. Richards! I have moved away from Texas, and I was back in the Conroe area for one day. My crown had cracked (my fault, I am a night-time teeth grinder and I wasnt wearing my night guard) and I was waiting to get an appointment with my new dentist in Nevada. I drove by Dr. Richards office and decided to walk in. Sweet receptionist Cherish said that Dr. Richards had time for me that day. So, he complimentarily replaced the crown he had put in for me a year ago. I was so happy that Dr. Richards was able to help me so fast and stood by his work. And no pain! I am wearing my night guard now that Dr. Richards explained how many of us grind our teeth at night much harder than we think we do.Ever since my first visit, I have been stunned by the beautiful decor, the relaxing atmosphere, and the latest technology. Dr. Richards is truely down-to-earth and talented. I wish I still lived in Texas, so I could continue to come to this dental office.
