Unfortunately we blew a tire, had no spare, and had to be towed. Kevin showed up long before the promised ETA, treated us with kindness and respect, and took great care with our car. If everyone treated strangers the way he treated us, the world would be a much better place for us all.

Well, I can say this, they are quick!!You defiantly won’t have to worry about security issues with these guys either. The CON,, one tow truck driver likes to run his mouth to ya as he’s unlocking your vehicle. The PRO, he’s a big guy and he’ll slap you with his purse if he has to.

My truck was broke down in a tricky place to access. They sent two trucks out to get it so that they didn’t damage the yard. Quick, professional, friendly service at a great price. Kevin was the driver that picked up my truck. I will definitely use them again and I’ll ask for Kevin to do the tow if he’s available!

Today I called them at 8:15am to tow my car on a location on Broadway. Was advised the tow truck would be there in 30 to 45 minutes. When he arrived at 9:30am he advised he was the only one towing today. Nice guy and apologized for the wait. Wait time was too long. Maybe two drivers per day would help..

These guys are great!!! Heading to Arkansas and broke down at 11pm. The driver had a half hour until he was off from work and it didnt matter. He got me to the shop and was taken care of right away. I cant thank economy towing enough for the great driver, customer service, and just giving that extra little I care about my customers attitude. If I need a tow again in the future I think Economy Towing will be my last choice.The process of the actual tow was fine, events after were not as pleasant. First off, my car was being totaled so I wanted to get my belongings out before they were gone forever, we show up to the lot and they locked my keys in the car.I then waited like 20 minutes for a driver to come to come unlock the car, then it took him another 10+ minutes to even get the car unlocked (seems like something a tow truck driver should know). Finally clean I cleaned out my car and went to go home and realized I didnt have my drivers license.*when I first went to their office they took my driver license to scan for legal reasons, either way I never got it back and had to hurry back to their office to get it back. They didnt believe me at first and took like 10 minutes to find my DL.Overall I didnt have a very good experience, people I dealt with in the office didnt seem very professional.

Good towing company. They only accept cash. Customer service was good. The only thing I didnt like is they have a very small parking lot where their office is. they share the parking lot with a couple other businesses, so its super difficult to find somewhere to park. But other than them ONLY accepting CASH and the parking,they are good people.

I was in a car accident which led to a ride to the hospital. The police used this company to tow my vehicle to move it out of the road. After being released, I called to retrieve my personal belongings and they simply refused to allow me to get my stuff. Told me I had to pay the $335 bill. I asked the not-so-nice woman how exactly Was I to do that, since my purse was in the car with all my financial stuff in it. Not very friendly...not very smart. So I’ll let my lawyer handle it. Would not EVER recommend this business for any reason.

I locked myself out of my car and called my roadside assistance. Kevin came within the timeframe the insurance told me. Kevin was funny and professional and fast getting me back into my car, he needs a raise/promotion. I would definitely use their service if I need it again. 5/5 stars, highly recommend.

Thought a tow would be very expensive. Didnt know if they could, but was a lot cheaper than I expected, and they explained everything to me with dignity.

I was t-boned by a semi truck on the interstate. I was alone and my phones battery had died earlier so i was unable to contact anyone. Being confused and scared i had no idea what i needed to do or what to expect. The driver was so amazing as he calmly answered my questions and offered solutions including using his phone to call someone to pick me up and even helped unload my bags from my car. You could tell he was a real pro from the way he assessed the situation pulling my car out of the embankment to handing me a mask to wear so id be further taken care of. Thank you for your competence in all possible ways when I needed it the most!

I am just Thrilled with Economy Towing.. i have come to Columbia, alone, due to a death in the family. I know no one here, have only been here 11 days. My sterring went completely out as I was pulling into my driveway, I mean I could turn that steering wheel and it wasnt do a dang thing. So I got half on the sidewalk in front of my house. Here it is 930 pm Friday night and Im a female alone and have to get my truck off the busy street. So I call the 1st company Google pulls up. Get a quote, call my husband to transfer the funds, go and call back and my call is sent to VM. So I look down the list and call Economy Towing. it just hit me. And I am so thankful I did. The woman who answered dispatch, she had her hands full with her kids. But I could not believe the professionalism she put forth. It was great. She told me her truck will be cleared 10 to 15 min. And he would be here. And dang if it wasnt 10 to 15 and he was here. CHRIS is an amazing driver, he was above helpful and courteous. He knew exactly what to do. I ran a tow company in another state for years, and he was dead on, he knows his stuff and is very very knowledgeable. He was also very kind and understanding of my situation. I did not feel any apprehension or concern at all. I Highly Recommend, will use again, and o to the owners,,Chris is a true asset to the company, he represented you well. 1000 thumbs up

Since it was Sunday and most shops were closed, he made sure we got my car to a shop that would be able to get to it the fastest the next day. Economy Towing left my car unlocked in a local repair shop parking lot all weekend. Of course I had my $100 sunglasses stolen and all of my change. I explained what happened and they didnt care at all, they kept coming up with excuses and trying to blame me. Economy Towing was far from helpful, not even a little bit apologetic. Theres definitely better towing companies in Columbia.

Arranged tow via insurance. Text msg said 60 min wait—slightly less (50). Tow done professionally. Ive some experience.Saw rates in complaint 1star reviews. These are standard. Always be descriptive as possible when arranging a tow! Police stuff is always sticky...and they still do it.Driver was above & beyond courteous, polite. Driver assisted my spouse for entering truck.I will readily use this service again even if out-of-pocket. 5 star.

This tow truck company dropped my car and did significant damage to my car and laughed at me when I asked for their insurance information. They have been give me the run around and refusing to honor my estimate of the damage or anything close.

HORRIBLE! Guy showed up and said it was my battery. Charged me $140 even though roadside said they would pay $100 and installed it only to find out it was the wrong battery. My battery was fine! It was the positive cord that needed to be replaced!!! I sat out there for over 2 hours and he didnt test my battery until the end only to find out it was fine. He didnt tighten the bolts so my car died AGAIN when I got to the gas station! As if that wasnt enough the lady answering the phones was EXTREMELY disrespectful! I have never dealt with such a snotty and rude person in my whole life. I never leave reviews but I felt I needed to to warn others out there. Some of the employees have no idea what theyre doing and some of the employees are miserable human beings. Next time Ill walk home..... or call tiger towing!

I had a blowout on the side of the Highway and they were there under 10 minutes. They changed my tire efficiently and quickly it was well worth the $50 since I had my very sad 8 month old with me at the time. I highly recommend them!

Great experience with Economy Towing today, who was assigned to my tow through my insurance Roadside Assistance. Estimated arrival was 60 minutes. When truck had not arrived by then, I called the dispatcher who was incredibly nice and polite, apologized for the delay and told me the truck would be there soon. Truck arrived around 15 minutes after I called the dispatch. The operator was very friendly, and did a great job! Even with the delay, the service was performed in a friendly and professional manner and I would recommend them if you need any services.

They did very good the first time I used them but the second time they took forever to come and tow my car didnt call to notify me that they were going to be late. Then dropped my car off at the auto shop but didnt even check the vehicle in. Just dropped it off and didnt notify the company that the car was there. Therefore my car couldnt get looked at and worked on until the following day because the auto shop had no idea my car was even there. I am here from Kansas City trying to make it back home. Because of economy tow I had to call into work.

Dont let their rating fool you into using this company. My son was in a motorcycle accident and was transported to the hospital. The police had Economy tow his motorcycle. We contacted them to get the bike back and needed to get it back to his house. We were told it would cost $653 cash only. I went there and the lady working the desk pulled out the tow bill. I looked at the charges written on the bill and they only added up to $428. She had called someone and was talking on the phone and she wrote a total owed of $653 at the bottom of the bill. I told her the charges didnt add up to 653. She grabbed a calculator and added them and said no they dont. She called whoever she was talking to earlier and told them it wasnt 653. Then she added another $75 to the bill. I asked what that was for, she said a 2nd person that helped with the tow. I said it takes 2 people to tow a motorcycle? She said the bike must of been in pieces. I rold her that the news showed a picture of it on the news upright on the stand. She said I dont know, I wasnt there. I paid the $503 just to get out of there and get his bike back so they couldnt keep racking up the charges. They had the bike for about 38 hours and charged for 3 days storage. I believe they are a company that takes advantage of people in bad situations. Once they have your property they have you at their mercy and pay their overcharging prices or dont get your property back. I would not recommend or use them again.

My insurance company found them amd called and set everything up was cheep for a town 45 mins away and he showed up earlier then the estamated time even tho we love out of town and wasnt there yet they called me and he went to another call and came back by the time we got to the car sence we live 45 mins away. Brought it all the way to my house and never had a problem the guy was vary nice and friendly. Thanks for being so understand that we were from out of town wonderful job wish I new the guys name. The service was over 1 hour late, to only town the vehicle 3 miles, no communication, extremely POOR service, will never use again, and made a complaint through our insurance company.

If u have the unfortunate experience of being arrested on Columbia streets, you do not have the right to bring whatever personal items that may be in the vehicle. Therefore, your items are in the hands of the towing company that the CPD decides to alert for help moving said vehicle from the roadway and to their lot. If you have the bad luck that economy towing is involved, your items will be gone through and anything of worth will be taken. It is obvious from the reviews and my own personal experience that this is happening and the CPD has been notified by myself of this petty theft and asked to remove this company from any notification of CPD incidents from here forward.

On Thursday, February 25, 2016 my 2001 Nissan Altima refused to start due to a possibly dead battery. As usual when I get in fix like this I immediately turn to AAAs fine road service. After calling AAA, they contacted Economy Towing here in Columbia and arranged for them to help me out. Within a short period of time, Driver / Service provider Billy from Economy Towing showed up and began testing my battery to make sure that was the problem. Indeed, his equipment indicated a battery that needed to be replaced. As I still had a years warranty on the dead battery and all the needed receipts, Billy went to work making sure he calculated the prorated replacement price correctly. I felt it was fair and in short order he replaced the battery with a battery of the exact same specifications as the AAA battery I bought and got those five years of service out of before it died. I couldnt have been more pleased. Many thanks to Billy and the good folks at Economy Towing and of course AAA for taking great care of me. I couldnt resist this opportunity to praise their excellent and responsive service. Jim, Columbia, MO

State Farm uses this company for their Roadside Assistance auto insurance policy rider. One call to SFs toll-free number brought a tow truck within 40 minutes, and the driver had my car unlocked within 2 minutes. Quick and friendly service, Id definitely use them again.

My roadside assist called you today to come give my van a jump start when I was stranded at Rusk. You told me in a text it would be a hour or more. I called and spoke with Jessica and told her I had already been waiting a hour and a half. She had just got the message from my assist company and said she would see what she could do. Called me back right away and mechanic was there in 10 minutes. THANK YOU! Made my day!

We broke down on I-70 early on a Sunday morning. We called the State Farm 800 number for roadside assistance, and they sent us Economy Towing. We had to wait for a bit, but I assume that is because it was 7:30 on a Sunday morning! The tow truck driver was friendly, efficient, and put us at ease in what was already a harrowing experience. He took us to a car repair shop and would not leave us until he could be sure that we were taken care of. We appreciate this company more than we can say. Thank you!!!

This company told me a tow truck would get to my car in 15min. 1h 30min later they showed up with the wrong tuck and said that even if they got another truck it would probably damage my car so they wanted me to sign a waiver. Called Tiger Towing instead and didnt have a problem.

I used them through my road side assistance and lodged a formal complaint with my company as I was told it would be 1 hour and it took them almost 4. I called a couple of times because they never informed me that they were goimg to be late. My roadside assistance company is looking into dropping them for thier poor service. I could have pushed my vehicle to its destination faster and it is a big vehicle. I do not recomend them to anyone. And I am sure the owner is going to have a comment to make on this review but I am compleatly dissatisfied with the company and nothing she or anyone else says can get back the hours of my time wasted waiting for them.

Was quoted a rate of $50 on Friday and told they would be out in a couple hours.They never came. I then called back a few days later to see what happened and see if they could come my car. Was then told they misquoted me and it would be a charge of 18 miles at 3.50 per mile plus the 50 charge.And the place I need it towed to is 9 miles away???????I will take my money somewhere where they mean what they say and that when they screw up, they fix it.

Today the shop I went to let me down and my car broke down just 3 miles away from the shop an hour after they closed..... I called AAA and they told me it would be more than an hour wait. I sat in my car in a shady part of the area and patiently waited for about 20 mins before a truck pulled up. He didnt have anything that could tow me but he said he wanted to see if he could help since it was going to be such a long wait. We determined he couldnt help me, but rather than just leaving me stranded and hiding out in my car he waited with me for about an hour and 10 minutes until his coworker was able to come help me, he then helped speed up the process by helping him load my blazer up and followed us to the shop then helped him unload my blazer. They apologized over and over for the wait but I was honestly so impressed with the care they showed and how they went above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much to economy towings awesome tow truck drivers!!

Woman was rude to me, my husband, and my boss. They over charged me and lied about the services provided. Seriously call anyone else instead of these criminals.

My cell phone, bluetooth device, and wallet all disappeared while my car was in their possession. Then when I retrieved the car they lost the key to it. Zero stars

They want you to pay the bill on a wrecked car but wont let you get your things out of it.

Let me first start out with I DID NOT choose this company, my insurance companies roadside assistance called them when I hit an animal on 63 and damaged it too badly to drive it. I had to call for a dispatch 3 times, waited 2 1/2 hours for a tow and because it was a weekend and my body shop wasnt open was told by the driver that it would be taken to storage and delivered to my body shop on Monday. Monday rolls around and my car has to be tracked down by the insurance adjuster to preform the estimate, he ends up having to do it at the tow yard storage facility. My vehicle never got delivered and after an ENTIRE day on the phone between the body shop, the estimator, and the tow company the vehicle still was not delivered...I was told by the tow company that I could not pick it up because it had not been paid for nor could I get my work badge from it (Insurance pays the bill not me). I missed not one but 2 days of work because I couldnt get my work badge out before it was delivered to the body shop. The lady at the tow company cussed me out and said she was sick of dealing with State farm, my body shop, and me...in language MUCH worse than I just stated and then HUNG UP ON ME! I found out from the body shop that whoever FINALLY delivered the vehicle was rude to her as well when she inquired about the hold up on the delivery. A customers vehicle should NEVER be held for ransom..I pay good money every month for good insurance and roadside assistance, I shouldnt have to miss work because of a horrible sub-contracted company my insurance chose.

This company will rip you off, even shows it plainly on the receipt I had to ask for (they dont accept Credit Cards and I had to specifically ask for the receipt when they didnt give one to me) overcharge on mileage and equipment used receipt doesnt show driver charged $112 to tow drivable car 1.2 miles
