Im posting the what I asked for vs what I got so you can see what I ended up with. After over 5 hours of being as patient as possible giving them the opportunity to fix what was originally so horrible I almost cried. I had several people try to tell me that my crooked, misshapen, multiple different lengths nails were not messed up. Then they lectured me that it was my fault that I said I wanted a certain shape when I in fact did not. I showed them the photo And another one in a different color for comparison. After being there well past closing I finally left with nails that I was very dissatisfied with because I was there until after 9 oclock at night and I was so upset that it ruined the entire day that I had wanted to spend with my children who were also stuck at the nail salon for over 5 hours. I went to 6 different nail salons the following day to try to find someone to fix them. It really was a nightmare experience and I am absolutely baffled that it was so hard to find someone to fix them on top of the experience of them struggling to fix what for some reason they could not comprehend was messed up. I really wish I had a photo of what they originally looked like because it really was unbelievably terrible

I went today (august 7 2021) we got there at 10 when they were supposed to be open. nobody showed up until at least 10:15 and we didn’t get started until almost 10:30. the lady doing my manicure left halfway through to go do a pedicure and she never came back to finish (she also drilled my nail too deep so it almost bled and it still hurts almost 12 hours later and all she said was “did that hurt” lol) i sat there for over an hour (same thing with the girls i went they waited for over two hours for their acrylics to even be put on, another 2 1/2 to get painted) by the time my nails were done the time was 1:45. we didn’t end up getting everyone done until almost 2:15 for two acrylic gel sets and my gel regulars. my card also got declined because they wanted to charge me $170 when their current listed prices online showed what we wanted wouldn’t have been more than $120. they also charged for polish removal when that wasn’t listed online either. they took off $10 and even after fighting with them i still had to pay the $160. i will never ever be going back here ever and i definitely don’t recommend anyone else to go because of how awful our services were for how expensive they were. don’t even waste your time. the first picture was in time taken around 12 pm and the second one is the finished with my shredded nail. the third is the over product which ended up being $65.UPDATE : august 8, 2021my nails have all chipped. they didn’t even last 24 hours . absolutely unreal.

Called to see availability and they took me right in. Great pedicure, spent time on the problem spots and did a great job. Great job on my nails as well. I had 2 different techs, one for the feet, one for the hands. They both did a great job. Would recommend

I came to La Rue nails for an acrylic full set. I wish I had read the most recent reviews or I would not have come here. The lady grinded down my nail beds and cuticles so bad that I was bleeding all evening. Multiple times I pulled my hand back and said “ow,” and she said that my finger nails were so small and that’s why that kept happening. It’s been 2 days now and my fingers are scabbed up (pictures for reference).I also did not get what I originally asked for. I had multiple pictures of ombré nails of and the nail tech told me she could do that. When she started to paint my nails, I noticed it was nothing like the picture and showed her the picture again and said “I actually want it more like this so that it fades and is kind of an ombré.” She proceeds to tell me that I have to say “ombré.” I said “I showed you a picture and you said you could do that.” She tells me “you have say ombré. It’s too late now!” So I ended up just picking a different color. As I’m picking out my new color, she starts to do another customers nails. So I had to wait 15ish minutes before she finished mine.I will not be returning.

Long wait and un-relaxing experience.Called and got a pedicure appointment at 6p. Came in at 5:50 and soaked my feet until 7p “the longer the soak the better!” The technician spent 50min on my feet but the experience was hardly relaxing, due to excessive chatting. It wasn’t just small talk… like really personal things about her life decisions that kind of makes it awkward, when this is my first time here. She was also pretty rough during the process… I actually said “OW”, which has never happened. Then 2 other ladies came in, who seemed like owners or some sort of shareholder. Then it was more loud talking. One of the 2 ladies helped me check out - and asked loudly “ADD TIP ON THE CREDIT CARD?” Then announced the tip amount loudly to the store with 3 other clients.I walked out at 8pm… feeling more stressed than when I came in. The store should be called La Rude. Won’t be coming back…

The nail techs was nice and I showed her a photo of what I wanted and I believe she tried her best however it doesn’t really match the photo. She put no polish before painting the tips (I got black French tips in a V-shape, essentially) so you can see everything underneath still, which I don’t like the look of.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and I’ve never been disappointed! They do wonderful work and are such a pleasure. They know their clients by name and make you feel so welcome. The perfect neighborhood salon!

Had several great experiences here but Lee is my favorite! She does a great job every time and you can tell she takes pride in her work. She is always friendly and welcoming!

Starting off with a fresh dip powder manicure after being screwed over by a local salon and had to remove the previous manicure after a week and lost my nails. Worth the hour drive for sure - Josie, her husband Danny and all the others were so nice. Definitely coming back (as I booked my next appointment already)

Good service but paid $60 for a dip manicure - nothing special added or anything either. I usually pay around $40 anywhere else I’ve ever been. Won’t be splurging on that there again.

Today was my first time coming here i called ahead to make my appointment for 4 everything was set. I arrived at 4 and I brought along my daughter and niece we had 2 pedicures 2 full sets and a kid manicure. My pedicure didnt start untill 5. While I waited to get my full set 2 other girls walked in with appointments and proceeded to leave. They then forgot about me and I had to remind them. I didnt leave until 9pm it took 5 hours of my toddler daughter sitting and waiting why I didnt walk out is beyond me. I wish i knew my nail tech personally because she was a saint 9 months pregnant running everything alone thats who deserves this mail salon she said after hours to finish my nails.The only way i will return is if its under new management

Very affordable. My nails look great! It was a very basic manicure, nothing fancy. But for a quick cleanup of cuticles and gel polish I recommend!

Made an appointment 3 weeks prior to ensure timely service as this place is usually busy. Get there on time for appointment/when they open and the doors are locked, lights are off, and no one answers the phone. I’ve gone to this location for years but this is the last disappointment I’ll experience here. Complete waste of time. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable.

I’ve gone there a number of times and have had such an amazing experience every single time!! I always get my pedicure from Heaven! She is so talented and professional! I love the environment! Everyone there is so friendly and energetic! I even got to talk to the owners on multiple occasions and they are phenomenal and provided amazing customer service.

Heaven and Canada take such amazing care of me. They were at another nail salon and I followed them to La Rue Nails. La Rue Nails has a more boutique feel to it and I love that. Danny does an amazing job every time! He does amazing intricate designs on my nails for my jewelry company since so have so many close ups of my hands and hours of close up live feeds of my dings showcasing gems and I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else. He is easily the best in the springs.Also one time because I wasn’t clear about what I wanted one of them was a bit messed up because of me and he STILL was incredibly patient and allowed me to come back in and get it fixed in the middle of his busy schedule! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I really can’t recommend this place enough I won’t go anywhere else!

I’ve use this nail salon four times in the past couple of months. Every time I have gone, despite the fact that I had a scheduled appointment, my nail technician/ owner was always 30 to 40 minutes late. My last experience was so bad that it prompted me to write this review. I called at 10 in the morning to schedule an appointment for that afternoon at 330, but when I arrived my nail technician wasn’t even on the premises. The receptionist called and sent text messages and told me that he would not be coming in. She was gracious enough to do my nails for me, as I’m sitting there the nail technician/owner walked in. He did not come and apologize just started working on another client, unbelievable! I sat there for about 20 min Before anyone even acknowledge me or said hello. Although they do great work they are severely lacking In the customer service department. Maybe I was just born in a different era where people matter. I understand that life happens and situation can cause delays but on a regular basis? I don’t think they really cared whether or not I scheduled another appointment at their establishment. Apparently they have enough clients that new clients don’t matter. I truly am disappointed because Danny did a great job on my nails But needs a lesson on time management and in a personal customer relations. C’est la vie La Rue nails...

Worst service I have ever had. This place has really gone downhill. The pedicure chairs and the tables are so dirty. Except to wait 30 min or longer even if you made an appointment. Will never be back.

This is by far the BEST salon in Colorado Springs. And I live in Denver and commute JUST for La Rue! They have such a beautiful shop - modern and clean with a calming ambiance. Their selection of both services and polish colors is the best Ive seen in the area and am never disappointed in options. I get acrylic nails (varying in shape and length) with gel polish and I have to say the quality is unmatched, as I typically dont have a break or need a fill for nearly 4 weeks! The environment and staff are so inviting that I find myself just wanting to spend time here regardless of getting my nails done. The will cater to your needs and customize your experience and service for your preferences. This salon gets more popular by the day so definitely make an appointment. Do yourself a favor and pamper yourself here!

I’ve been going here for over a year and today was finally my last day. Ever since I started coming here I’ve made appointments for every fill or full set. Sadly, for most of those appointments I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour later then my actual appointment time because my tech would either be late to work or take a walk-in right before my appointment. After so long, today was the last straw for me. I give 3 stars because they do great work, and I always left loving my nails, but it shouldn’t take 2-3 hours for a fill because you waited an extra hour for your appointment.

Heaven is just the best nail tech! I never go to anyone else! She just knows how to do it all and always so relaxing and just overall amazing! Service and attitude! Its so nice going in there knowing she will be taking care of me cuz she always does just an amazing job and great conversation!!!

My nails are only painted in the center. The sides are not painted. Also, one toe is not smooth at ALL and already starting to chip and its been 6 hours since my appt. I am disappointed and will NOT come back. $50 for a pedicure of this sorts is absolutely unbelievable. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the employess were welcoming!

I have gotten my nails done and a pedicure here twice, once by Canada and once by Heaven and l must say l was very pleased both times. Canada took her time and was very friendly. Heaven is very gentle, and also takes her time. I will be definitely returning for friendly customer service and beautiful finger and toe nails!

Just visited La Rue for the first time and what a great experience. Got a basic pedi and full gel set by the owner Josie. Super friendly staff and made sure I was 100% happy with my services before I left. I will def be doing back again. next time.

I am new to the area and La Rue is less than a 10 minute drive so I gave it a try. They got me in the same day I called and now both times I have been in Danny has given excellent service. I don’t feel like I’m at the salon long and my nails are exactly what I ask for. I love this place and won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon!

I got a signature pedicure and basic manicure and it was lovely. The massage was long and relaxing. The paraban wax made my feet so smooth. Lana (I hope that’s right) was very professional and sweet and really took care of me. My mom recommended this place and I really like it. The only thing I wish they had was a massage chair but it was worth it!

I did my nail yesterday . I wanna a specific design . The lady couldn’t do it . She missed up the design . And put it diffrent color on my nail and tell me come back tomorrow morning on 10:15 . I was there by 1:10 they were not open I stay till 10:40 they were not open I called them the lady said we are busy we can’t take you right now . Crazy costumer service is horrible . I won’t recommend this place . By the way the lady name is Tina.

Horrible service! Had an 11am appointment for a pedicure and started soaking. At 11:45am. I was still soaking and watched 2 other customers come in with later appointments after me and got service right away. No apology, no explanation. I got up and left. Thats not the right way to conduct businesses. Im baffled.. not even an apology.

I’m new to the area so i went to La Rue since it was close to my house. I called before to see if they could get me in and the owner told me to just come right in. When i got there they started arguing who was going to do my nails because they all wanted to eat something. I waited there for about 10-15 minutes before somebody was done eating to come take my gel off. The guy started to take my gel off and was talking about how he was excited to get off work after he did my nails. (He was hurrying) while my nails were drying the gel was dripping off my thumb and he just kept going over it and then said he didn’t know why the gel keeps dripping off. It dries kinda lumpy. Whatever. Wasn’t gonna stress. Then once all my nails were dry he started rubbing them to see if they dried all the way. MOVED THE GEL on my finger and then knew he made a mistake and tried to mold it back. Then got the drill and started grinding down the gel to polish it. It just looked scuffed up. At this point i was annoyed and just wanted to leave and be done. I got home and my nails starting drying with a lot of air bubbles? Waited a week and i ended up just peeling the polish off. Literally came off in strips. Wasn’t even bonded to my nails. I would just save your money and time and go somewhere else. Unless they can do acrylic better than just a gel polish??

Visiting from ABQ, I found La Rue. Tim provided excellent service. I have a history of gel nails not lasting more than a week. He knew exactly how toPrep my nails. I tried the “cat eye” polish for the first time and absolutely love them!!

I dont usually write reviews, but since I dont live there, I cant show them my appreciation by returning. Best pedicure Ive had in Colorado! A week later, including a weekend of yard work, and I still have no callouses. Also they were not at all pushy about the fact that I didnt want a manicure (when many nail salons are). Packed in the middle of a weekday afternoon, so Im sure word is out.

Cute salon and the staff is pretty friendly.My mother & I both had appointments for manicures/pedicures. My pedi started about 20 minutes before hers, yet we still finished about the same time. We both had a basic, yet her tech seemed to speed through the process. The tech that did my moms toes then started on my fingernails. It took her almost an hour to mostly take off my acrylic before she asked the owner for the 3rd time if she could leave early. I was then sent to another Techs station and she was very lovely, but I was still in the chair for another hour. Altogether my visit for a basic pedicure & gel manicure lasted almost 3 hours.Additionally, there was some discrepancy in pricing when it came time to pay. My mom was charged an extra $5 for having her nails trimmed down, which you would think would be included when you get a fill. The prices were stated on their menu, but we both felt like we got nickeled and dimed. The quality of the work is not worth a return visit.

Ive loved this place since day one, they are always friendly and make time for their customers! Its been awhile since my last visit because my current job has been hard on my nails but even with the gap of time I was greeted with a smile and recognized by Josie. It feels great going to a place where I always feel welcome and have amazing service including the best the looking nails Ive ever had!

Absolutely love this place. I go there twice a month and have never had a bad experience. I’ve gone to a few other salons and I’ve always ended up with nail fungus within a few visits. I’ve been going to La Rue for two years now and never had and issues with nail fungus.I also love how the prices don’t change depending on the day or person doing your nails like at other salons. I will always recommend La Rue to anyone looking for amazing service and great prices.

I have always had a hard time finding a salon where quality supersedes quantity of people in and out. After reading all of the reviews, I was confident that Josie or Danny could provide me with something I would love at a high quality. Well I went in and by surprise was paired with Amy who was OUTSTANDING to say the least. She seemed very young so initially my response was to be nervous. She did my nails with more detail and attentiveness than anywhere Ive ever been. I do wish cuticles were part of their manicures because I enjoy that part of the process but that is the only negative. I brought my 8 month old in with me and everyone there was so sweet with her. Josie gave a sweet farewell as I left. You can tell she genuinely appreciates her customers. I will certainly be back. I think I found my new salon!

Toestruck!! My boyfriend and I came on a date night and had his first ever pedicure. It was an amazing environment with even more amazing staff. Very family oriented place. Josie is the beat there is and she takes care of her ppl. My family has followed her through 3 nail salons. Shes very detailed I can tell her to free hand a design when I cant come up with one and I love it every time. They are hard workers and worth the wait.

Im new to the area. I was looking for a nail salon. I chose this one out of three because I liked the name. I wasnt sure they were open because the lighting is bad. When I walked in it wasnt much better. The front of the salon was empty but there were a few people sitting in the back in the pedicure chairs. There was only one customer other than myself there. They assisted me immediately. Danny did my nails. He did an excellent job. This is the 1st time I had someone new that actually listened to what I wanted and succeeded in the task. I have found my new nail Tech. Thank you Danny!

Great service. My husband and I called ahead to see if they were able to take us. Luckily they were able to fit us in right away. We both received pedicures and manicures and were very happy with the results. They also offered us something to drink which is a very nice “extra”. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Ive been to La Rue 2 times now, and both times I have had amazing experiences. Josie has a huge heart and with a simple recommendation from a friend she welcomed me into her chair with open arms like she has known me for a lifetime. She is a true perfectionist and loves her craft. If you have any difficulty getting an appointment with Josie, Danny is also very good.Update- Ive been going to Josie every 3 weeks and every time is perfect. Love you, Josie!

I wasn’t familiar with the area so I called La Rue. They told me to just come in. I waited 30 minutes before I asked the technician next to me if I should leave cause it’d been awhile. She said no no they’re coming right now. So she got me a bowl of water.. ice cold, plain water to put my hands in? Waited probably 20 minutes.. then they finally grab my color for me. I kept thinking I’ve waited this long it’s gotta be any minute now! Those minutes turned into what felt like forever.So I’ve waited an hour, and someone finally comes. She’s very unorganized. She had to get up and leave to grab each new tool. The finger nail file was the size of my index finger?? I had to let her know that the shape of my nails were different or uneven THREE times! She told me she’s licensed it’s suppose to be that way.. I’ve been getting my nails done for years. I just wanted them even! I’ve never experienced such slow reaction time. Each cut of a cuticle and each swipe with the nail polish... I had to remind her Every Other Time to turn the UV light on. I had to let her know that she did NOT even file one hand! It was so strange.The technician next to me kept asking me why I’m so quiet and that I should talk more.. and I know she was just trying to be nice. But, 1) I didn’t go in there to party. 2) I was already on edge from the wait. 3) I was obviously uncomfortable getting questioned like that.There was a woman behind he service tables drinking BUD LIGHT from a can! Someone had brought coffee and right after another worker, who appeared to be the owner, said hurry up so we can bring out the wine. That would explain the day’s chaos.Girls surrounding me had appointments that were pushed an hour later. One girl they gave clippers to start herself. Another girl they had her take off her own acrylics. One was filing her own nails. If you’re not able to provide the service, let us know. I would of happily gone somewhere else instead of waiting two hours to get a basic gel manicure done. I don’t want to spend my days off more stressful than the week.I understand being short staffed or having more people come in than expected.. drama or bad days.. but make the appropriate decisions for that. You’re running a business.I took the screenshot of the nails I wanted at 1:00 on the dot. I did not LEAVE there until 3:06. I had to make a phone call to cancel plans.If I could give no stars I would.

Nice place. I pretty much just get my nails done for special occasions. I have gone here a handful of times and have not yet been disappointed. Great color selection, nail techs are nice, leg/foot massage is very nice, and just normal color lasts quite awhile (fingers ~1 week, toes until they grow out!). This place can get busy so probably best to have an appointment, but definitely have gotten same day appointments before.

My best friend and I called to see if they could squeeze us in last minute and they accommodated us. Not only did Josie ask me what my concerns were with getting a set, its been almost two weeks and my nails have stood so well without getting chipped. I was so impressed with the attention to detail and the conversation. You can tell Josie and her crew genuinely care about their customers. I will definitely be returning!

I took my 2 daughters and myself there. I loved mine! My one daughter is a flight attendant and needs to look very professional and they did amazing! My other daughter was so pleased too! Everyone there was kind and fun! We have found ourselves a new salon!

Got my nails done on Valentines Day for the first time in 10 years and I was not disappointed! Josie did an awesome job and was very approachable. Definitely a great experience and would recommend to others! I will be going back!

They are so friendly and welcoming. They really take their time and pay attention to detail. If I lived here in Springs Id go here everytime I needed my nails done. They did my nails for my wedding and theyre amazing.

La Rue have been amazing every time I go in. The ladies and gents are always so nice and the work they do is superb, the prices are the best in town. I leave every time extremely happy! HIGHLY recommended. In all honesty, I drive 30+ mins from South of Carson to get my nails done here because of the atmosphere, service, and quality. And I LOVE the fact that its so clean. Seeing my tech open tools from a sanitizing pack (that came out of a machine like hospitals and *good* tattoo shops) really takes the worry out of getting nails done, especially since I got an infection from a cut from another nail salon.

Absolutely amazing service. I’ve been here twice. And both times Shanelle did my nails. I love them ! I showed her a design and she nailed it with her own little twist. And she stated she doesn’t really do designs, but her work shows otherwise. Thank you ladies so much for fitting me in and making my nails look amazing !!

I like the atmosphere and the results of my nail service. I’ve never been anywhere where they’ve gotten the acrylic shape right the first time and didn’t chop my cuticles or damage my natural nail with an electric file. I’ve been here twice and had Chanel do my nails both times. She’s been doing nails for 20+ years. It helps to know what you want before you go in. You can bring your own polish and nail file/clippers which I greatly appreciate. They’re all very professional and will take of you. I really do hope to see this nail salon continue to grow because it’s wonderful.

From the moment I walk in the door to after I walk out..... Josie, Danny, Sandy, and the other ladies are soooo welcoming and kind! They are always quick to place their customers and are very accommodating, even when Ive witnessed MULTIPLE clients be really late, Josie finds a way to work it out! The quality work that I get leaves me getting compliments everywhere I go and the prices are great! All this while sipping on a glass of wine....does it get any better?!

This is the BEST salon that I have ever gone to! Their are friendly and I loved the service! Im from WI and I called to see if I could get in the same day and it worked for them. Next time I go to CO, I will go there again!

Im so glad I found this salon! Its such a pleasure to to visit; beautiful colors, comfortable chairs ~ just a great way to give myself a little perk! They have a full selection of great polishes, both regular and gel, including lots of mood changing gels. I cant say enough about how wonderful this salon is, and their prices are reasonable. Perfect results!!

She was talking about us in another language and it was very disrespectful, she also said the set was higher than what it says on there listings. The nails turned out okay, but she made us pay an additional $30 for some shiny nail polish. Not to mention it only says extras are $5+. I’m pretty sure it’s not $30 extra.

I have had my nails done by a couple different techs here and they have all done a fantastic job. Josie is so sweet and makes me feel special every time I come in. You wont regret coming here!
