This review is strictly for the customer service. We stopped in to look around and see if there was anything Id like. My boyfriend and I are typically ignored when we walk into jewelry stores, but today was different. A friendly gentleman offered us help and let us know about their current sales. I didnt find anything that spoke to me, but really loved the great customer service!

I really hate going to the mall for my cleanings and inspections on my wedding ring and jewelry but it is always pretty quick if they aren’t busy, and worth it to get everything sparkling again. Recently, my husband and I went to get my wedding band, after being very disappointed a few years ago visiting a different Kay… this time we went to chapel hills and Sean made the experience simple, and gave me all the attention and care I needed to pick out my band. Thanks Sean!!

This place is absolutely amazing! Have been working with them for several years now, ever since I bought my wife’s engagement ring. The store manager, Sean, has customized several things for us, gone above and beyond for me numerous times and has made sure my wife and I have been completely satisfied with every ounce of business we’ve ever done with him. Highly recommend, would give more than 5 stars if possible.

The manager Shawn was very helpful in the beginning. He worked to help my fiancé with the purchase when the online portal was having problems, and he made the transaction quick and painless. Once Kay had their payment in-hand, their customer service plummeted. We were told it would only take 3-4 days to have the ring resized. Fast forward to 10 days, I called to check the status since Shawn promised itd be done, and he was immediately rude and frustrated. He told me I was lucky that he had put a rush on the resizing. Then he blamed my fiancé for giving me the ring before it was sized for me. It seems like theyre interested in the initial sale and not building customer loyalty.

My experience here has always been awesome. Every time I always come in everyone is super helpful and friendly. When my husband and I first got married we got our wedding sets at a Kays at different location and I have always known that I wanted to upgrade my wedding rings and I knew it would be with Kays. Over the last couple of years we would look at ideas but never found anything. While I was there one day they told me I could customize anything and that gave me ideas but I wasnt set on anything yet. It was 2 days just before my husbands and I 5 year wedding anniversary and I decided to stop in and look. We told them what we were looking to do and so they showed us all tons of options and then I found the perfect addition to my ring. They helped me every step of the way to help make it a perfect as possible. I was super picky of how I wanted it to be and they spent almost an hour and a half helping me! They were so nice and wonderful and helped me create my dream ring. Everything was super quick to! They sent my ring off and it was back in like a week and a half. When I did get it back I had to sadly send it back one more time because I was so picky. Sean was so nice about it and put a rush on it and didnt even take 3 days! For all of my jewelry I will always go here. Thank you so much!

I recently upgraded my center stone of my wedding ring and my experience with the manager, Sean Riley, and Cindy McMahon was so impressive! The process turned out to be a bit more involved than we first anticipated but Sean was in constant communication with me and went well above and beyond to ensure my husband and I were happy. Sean and Cindy were so amazing to work with and treated me like family. I could go on and on about how amazing the two of them are! If you are looking for people that truly have the customers best interest, please go pay them a visit. Sean and Cindy, I cannot thank you enough for everything! Because of you two, we will be back. Donna and Sean assisted my husband and I earlier this evening on picking out new rings for our wedding anniversary. Donna was very friendly and went above and beyond for our wants and needs. She was able to answer all questions we have and we were helped in a timely manner. Sean also helped assist our sale by making sure we could get our rings by our anniversary. Great place to get your watch fixed. My watch strap broke, and the fixed it in 10 minutes for 5 bucks! Great place for all your watch needs. Close to UCLA as well! Im probably gonna go get my watch face fixed as well since its falling apart.

I dropped off and paid $381 for repair of 3 rings. 2 of the 3 were completed, the third was determined to cost roughly twice as much as was quoted and wasnt worked on without my go-ahead. The stone on my onyx ring was poorly polished and there was no offer to correct it. Since the prepayment wasnt enough to cover repair of all 3 rings, the store should have first determined which ring, or rings, I wanted worked on because I didnt want to spend more money than Id already paid them.Per Kays website our KAY Jewelry Repair Team will determine ..... the final cost of the repairs before sending it to our Design & Service Center and When you go to pick up your jewelry, you will ..... confirm the proper jewelry repair services were completed, as well as ensure your satisfaction with the quality of the repairs. Neither of these assertions was true.Do these practices seem ethical to you? I wont do business there again.

And the manager Sean helped so much not only picking out a great ring but help hit all the marks I knew my lady would want. When she’s says yes (hopefully) I will be back there picking out wedding bands. They were amazing. I loved my experience there.

I will preface this by saying that I dont generally write reviews except in cases of exceptional quality- either good or bad. In this case, I have nothing negative to say at all. The jewelry is gorgeous, and the options for customizing the pieces were more extensive than at any of the other places that my fiance and I visited while shopping for our wedding rings. Cindy got us started and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without making us feel pressured or uncomfortable. We caught her right at the end of her shift, so while we were looking and thinking about options, the store manager Sean Riley took over.Sean was one of the best salesmen (or women) I have dealt with in a long time in that he was friendly and personable, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the options and all of their advantages/disadvantages. He shared all of that information without ever making us feel that we were being pressured or having something forced on us. In fact, at one point, when my fiance was describing an option that Kay does not provide, he pointed out that we could get a ring by that description elsewhere rather than trying to sell us on something they had. He also made sure that we knew how to get the best value out of the lifetime warranties that we bought, including pointing out that having the separate engagement ring soddered to the wedding band would mean that it also got covered for lifelong cleaning and rhodium plating. Sean never made us feel rushed and made us feel like very valued customers throughout the entire process (which took between 1.5 and 2 hours). In the end, both because of the great options and the stellar service, we bought both of our rings here.

My fiancé and I shopped at Kay Jewelers in Appleton Wisconsin and in Colorado Springs. We ended up buying my fiancé’s ring custom made by Kay’s. At both stores our experience was fantastic! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and helped us get just the ring we wanted and it turned out AMAZING!!! We had completely a different experience, I went to Kays at Chapel Hills to with my future son-in-law to buy a ring for my daughter her finger in a 4 1/2 so he had to have it special ordered due to the only sizing 1 size up or down. They gave him the ring in the store so we had one when proposed she was able to wear it with a sizer until the ordered ring came in it took about 10 weeks due to easter and the jewelry maker shutting down for the holiday. When her ring can in it was perfect the center stone looks better then the other one. They also worked with us to get him a great price one the ring of her dreams, she is so happy with this ring.Thank you for working with them.

Had a bracelet sent out after only wearing it a handful of times since they said a stone seemed loose. I should have been suspicious since it was barely worn, but I didnt want to lose a diamond. A week later, I find that its white-gold appearance is now almost dark steel gray and there is no more luster. Not to mention the facets that held the diamonds looked damaged. I was upset since my pristine bracelet now looked old and damaged. Even with polishing, it wasnt the same. It was to the point that I thought they had accidentally switched it, but I was assured that it wasnt. I compared it to the bracelet in their display and the quality of mine was so different that they agreed to send it back and have the manager look at it. It came back in worse condition with the links lose and locking at odd junctions. I cant trust that they didnt switched my bracelet out with another and I have a feeling that some of the diamonds have also been switched out. I dont even wear it since it doesnt even look like the bracelet I owned before. I no longer purchase from Kay or have any of my jewelry sent out.

I bought and enhancer and sent my rings out to be sized and soldered together. They had them over 2 week and once I picked them up they weren’t soldered. I gave them back and the manager said he would personally drive them to the shop to be fixed and I should have my ring back in a day or two. My husband had a voicemail that day saying it was ready but we didn’t hear the message until the next day. Sent my husband to pick it up and it still has not been soldered together. The manager never took my ring to be fixed and allowed it to be returned a second time not fixed. They need to be able to place better notes so when items arrived back from “repair” they can verify they were in fact repaired.

Rude customer service at the location on Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, CO.They wouldnt help us with a simple return.They told us to go to the store that sold us the item. This is the second time this is happened at Kay jewelers. I bought a chain about four years ago and it broke. When I brought it in to get it fixed for free because it was under warranty they couldn’t find it. My parents ended up buying the same chain for me which broke within nine months. I just brought it back into the store and they couldn’t find it under my parents name. The recordkeeping is very lax. Now I have to make an extra trip home to find the receipt.

Had to unexpectedly send my wedding ring in to have the diamond prongs tightened since the diamond was spinning in the setting. They took the ring and told me it would be 3 weeks but they will send updates on its its whereabouts the entire time. Neither of us never recieved a single update. I finally called 19 days later to be told its been sitting at the store waiting to be picked up. Never told, never called, never emailed while i was without my ring the entire time! Once I tried to pick it up, I found out I couldnt because I am not the account holder who bought it even though I am the owner of the ring and I was the one who brought MY ring into them myself to begin with 3 weeks ago. So they take it from ME at the store when I was getting it inspected but they wont return it to ME. Ridiculous. Now I am stuck waiting until HE can return to the store to pick it up during his crazy work schedule. Disappointed.

If you’re looking for a jeweler that will keep your engagement ring for months, never call you, make promises they cannot keep and trick you into signing for a custom wedding band that is completely WRONG (even the size but they insist that their 100% customer guarantee will take care of your concerns after the wedding), then you’ve found the right place. I finally have my engagement ring back after 7 months! My custom wedding bands are GORGEOUS but my husband and I will NEVER do this again. The whole situation was a huge nightmare. Im not even sure I can bring myself to allowing ANY Kays location to clean my rings which my warranty requires. Id rather risk damage.

Got scammed. I had bought a pearl and sapphire ring with a warranty. The pearl fell off somewhere and when I brought it in they told me the warranty didnt cover it and wanted me to pay more for the pearl itself than what I had paid for the whole ring originally. Jewlers are worse than car dealers

Kay jewelers thinks its okay to lie and defraud customers. My husband bought me an engagement that was on sale! The original price was 2400 and we bought it for 2000. I had a trade in and that was being shipped so once it arrived we received $750 off. Their trade in policy only states that the value must be double on the new ring and it must be dimonds. The ring is now $200 less then when I bought it and its well within the return period. I asked for the discount and they said no because the trade in is a discount. The trade is they gave me the value of a ring they already received money for and now get the ring back to resale. Its not a discount they already have the money. I called customer care because I cant find any policy online saying that a trade in is a discount. Not to mention the ring was already discounted $400 so how come all of a sudden I cant get a discount I already received. They said they dont have to make it public information and the only way I will know the policy exists is to ask and be told but as a consumer I have no right to the policy in writing. I fail to understand why they are making this a problem. They are selling my ring for 1799.99 to everyone right now and they already have the $750 and ring for the trade in and yet they talk to me like I am unreasonable. Its $200 and I am asking them to honor the public policy they laid out which doesnt state trade-ins cant be used with an onsale item which isnt true because they already deducted it from an on sale item.

My wifes wedding ring has had to be sent back to the shop 3 times to get the center stone fixed and everytime it has been sent back ther is something new wrong with the ring. 6 weeks later, we go in today to the Colorado Springs Colorado store at chapel hills mall and now one of the prongs is all messed up. Please can you explain to me why we have had this ring for 6 months and it had spent more time in the shop then on her finger. (This 6 weeks is not the first time)

Read the reviews and let me just say two things, one some people I guess just do not realize the time and effort that goes into making CUSTOM jewelry and secondly the management staff has improved greatly in the past year or so. I have been going to this Kays for several years now and have seen much improvement in customer service with the changes in management. I also have had several pieces made for me, not by Sean however since, although he is the one that drew my design, he himself has no control over making it. So to know that makes the custom process easier. Sean has been nothing but amazing and I would go nowhere else because of him. Let me explain, I wanted a new bracelet for myself for Valentines Day and order it among the rush of Christmas, Sean was upfront that it would be hard to get it done due to the usual 8 weeks timeframe and the fact that it was Christmas and the shop was more busy than usual. He kept me in the loop as best as he could along the process( it was Christmas time after all) and not only did I get it by Valentines Day but it truly was perfect! So nothing but five stars for this place!

HORRIBLE customer service. I dont remember his name but he was bald and wore and excessive amount of jewelry. He was SUPER short with me and I wanted to return my ring/exchange my ring and he said i couldnt. I just got off the phone with customer service and they said there is no problem with returning/exhanging. He just didnt want to help me basically. SO frustrated!!

I feel I need to warn consumers about my experience with Kay. I bought an engagement ring for my fiancé and the ring itself is beautiful! The quality however is beyond horrible. I bought the ring and the first day my fiancé was wearing the ring the center stone fell out as well as a small side diamond. I had a warranty and was given a new ring, the new rings center stone fell out while we were looking at it an we had the center stone reset. Now 1 week after she started wearing her new ring another side diamond has fallen out..... I appreciate the fact the warranty works well but I am sure we have bought a life long problem as the quality is beyond bad. I highly recommend researching the quality of Kays rings before you buy, which is something I did too late.....

My fiancé got me a beautiful ring from kays however the experience he had was awful. He went in over month before he was going to propose. The ring they had in stock was too large and they said they couldnt resize over a size down so they had to order another one. It came in a week later and they got it in white gold, not rose gold. They asked if I would still like it. My fiancé said absolutely not so they had to reorder again. They gave him the bigger size to propose with so he at least had a ring. Its been weeks and we still havent gotten the correct ring. He went in again and they said they would resize thr 6 1/2 they had in store. I need a 5, so thats more than one full size down, but they had told him they couldnt resize more than one size. The lady that helped was extremely rude. She did not take him seriously when he went in to purchase the ring and was rude about the fact that he asked about a sale. Do not recommend coming here for anything. Dont know what theyre doing and are rude to customers.
