Extremely professional! Easy going, easy to talk with, I was there for hours chit chatting. Cant wait to get my parts back and to bring them more.
Very helpful.....
Brought several parts for an Austin Healey 3000 to be re-chromedover the course of a restoration .The jobs was done on time and no overruns on the estimates and the pieces look perfect.!
I had my bumpers re-chromed at D-G. Show quality work. They were the only shop that had a tank big enough locally. Highly Recommend
Went to DG to have some classic car part chromed, quote sounded expensive but the few reviews i found looked good. They were wrong. When i visit this company, I had trouble finding someone to take my order and receive my parts. Parts were put in some old box and set on the table. I was give 4-6 weeks. walked away with a bad feeling.Showed up in 6 weeks to find my parts still sitting in the same box on the same table except covered in dust. Chrome was tick and bright as there advertisement claimed, but the problem was, they chromed over loose dirt and gasket material. Some of the parts would not fit because they were oversized. When I returned to get some help with the problem one of the guys took my valve covers and ground away the plating. WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THIS? The reason the chrome is thick is so they dont have to clean and prep the base metal. I just took my parts and went to a different chrome company. This is sad. I do not recommend DG.
Al and Jan are two of my favorite people.I got the full tour of the plant today.
Looking for some chrome work
There is a reason they are so expensive. doing SHOW chrome correctly is a very involved and time consuming process. you have to remove every blemish from the metal by sanding and polishing first, then nickel plate it, polish it, copper plate it, polish it, then chrome plate it. even a very small part is very time consuming.
