Very large facility, with buses going there frequently. Buses are often full which can make it difficult if youre coming with a lot of luggage. When you get to the center, multiple different stalls with a nice aesthetic modern art type piece over the counters.

Due to traveling 6.5 hours with toddlers and having rental car issues, we were set to miss our flight. So I dropped my husband and daughter at the airport while me and the baby returned the rental car. We were moments away from being able to make our flight when there was no shuttle bus going to our terminal. This amazing woman saw the tears stream down my face when she said she wasnt heading that way. Instead of going about her day, she yelled back for me to get in her bus and drove us right to the door we needed. By the time we got to the gate, they were already boarding the back of the plane.Without her, I would have been sleeping in the airport with my baby and my four year old not coping well to her mom missing.THANK YOU for going out of your way to help me and my family. It was appreciated more than I could ever express.Someone give her a raise!

The finally much needed way too late new O’Hare Rental car facility/building is finally here, about 20 years late, better than never. Was glad to see the facility finally functional (they opened about a year earlier than this review). Currently only shuttle bus ride from terminal and to (about 5-7 minutes) plenty of shuttles running almost right behind each other with literally no wait, future plans include the light rail connecting the facility directly from the terminals so no need to ever step outside during the brutal winters. Facility is very nice and modern with plenty plenty of seating and all the seats are power outlet equipped. Cars are easy to locate when picking up, everything simple and clearly marked and the return is pretty straightforward with no confusion or getting lost off North Mannheim Rd .

All the car rental agencies are housed in one huge building. A shuttle takes you from the airport to the rental cars and visa versa. Very organized.

Fox rentals is horrible place to try to rent from let alone rent from. Avis is the place who really had me upset... we waited in line, just for the Lady to tell us there was no more cars even though all of the Avis signs say they do. When I mentioned that to her she just said, we havent got around to change them yet. Well now were sitting here there isnt anyone around the Avis area, and the signs still say, They have cars on 2 different signs, and look nobodys changing them or atleast even putting up a temporary sign.

The rental center at Ohare is SO FAR from the airport. It was at least a 15 minute drive in the shuttle after midnight to get to the rental center from the airport. That seems a bit crazy. The center itself is spacious, though there arent that many counters open later at night, none of the self check kiosks were running, so it took almost an hour of standing in line to get sent to my rental. The center is conveniently located right by the toll road - so if you dont immediately notice and/or arent familiar with Chicago, you end up on the toll road very quickly. On returning cars, the signs are fairly well laid out, but the shuttles back to the airport were running behind and drivers would shout which terminals they were heading to, and that didnt line up with the signs placed along the curbs, so that was a bit confusing. I feel like I might have hit them on a chaotic weekend, but overall, I just wasnt impressed.

Terrible slow process here at the Ohare car rental. All the booth were closes and all the people were pushed toward a small counter. Had wait for 2 hours. Boo!

This place may be open 24 hours with their shuttle bus 24/7 as well BUT the rental car centers are not open 24 hours.I called and made sure that my reservation is still there due to flights getting delayed and cancelled. I told the operator I am arriving at 2AM and she said, we will hold your car for 24hrs and that the rental car center is open 24hrs at the airport. But it was not! On a Friday, they close at 12mn and on other days at 22:00.I arrived around 2AM and the signs in the airport were very confusing as to where the waiting spot is located for the bus shuttle is to get to the rental car center. I was able to get to the rental car center via the shuttle around 2:30-2:40AM. At these hours, expect to have a wait before you see the rental car shuttle bus pass by or get to you.And then, when you get to the rental car desks...voila! Its all close at dawn and it will open around the hours of 6am (for specific centers). Not sure with the other centers. So, you cannot get a rental car from 1am-6am. I ended up sleeping or waiting in the area. Once they opened, I was already third in line. I was told that the car I reserved is not available and I will have 1hr to 1hr&30mins wait (Dollar rental). I didnt want to wait, so the staff gave me an option to get a Nissan Rogue for an additional $38/day. It was not a free upgrade because they dont have the car that I already paid for and reserved available.Nonetheless, the rental car desks and centers where you actually need to go to to get a car is not open 24 hours.

Quick and frequent bus service is easier than when all the rental companies were spread out. The space is pretty and convenient to the airport.

Not very good experience. I arrived at 10:15 p Budget Car Rental pick-up. Had to wait in line till 11:45 to reach counter. There was only one person working behind the counter for the majority of the time. Once I got there the counter person was very nice.

Its a very nice facility. However, the lines are ridiculously long and getting there from OHare is a bit of a mess right now. You have to crowd onto an inadequate number of buses to get to it.

Google Maps directions were horrible, turning us early into the rental car return area, only to find ourselves on the wrong side of all rhe barriers. The on-site signage was good, but came too late to know that Google Maps was not the way to go!!!

Not sure if this is a COVID thing or not but we had to ride this rickety bus from the airport that felt like it was falling apart. There was something in the bus that was rattling at a near-deafening volume and my seat would tilt whenever the bus would take a turn. The facility itself was fine and very clean.

Facility is nice; however, its too far from the airport, shuttle buses are rough, rental taxes rates are high, and the return process is not clearly communicated so many people werent certain or secure about the drop-off.

I mean its a bit far the actual terminal but it was quick and easy.

This place can be confusing but we got through it. Alamo was right there in the front. I remember last year another companys service desk was hard to find.

Wasnt happy with the service I received our the car I got. I wasnt given the car that I asked for within the same tire, even though there was multiple sitting on the parking lot. Not cool.

Do not rent from any of these services. The wait for most is ridiculously long. Only 2 attendants at most stations/companies. It’s 11:30 am on a Saturday and Thrifty only has 2 attendants and no cars. Horrible experience compared to Midway airport car rentals.

Terrible service. My car was a mess. My paperwork said I had a f-250 white truck and I had a Kia. The kia was messy. Lines were long no directions on where to go to get the car busses took forever to get to the building stopping at every gate when we were already full of people

Great place to do Business for a Tournament at XS Tennis

Transportation to the rental has been worry free. With a good selection of vehicles. The facility is clean and well maintained.

Its a ways from the airport but a good selection of cars available.

Taxes too high. The city is charging absorbent prices. They are milking people with the taxes one sites such as Priceline. Be mindful to always check your oil levels and tire pressures in your car you rent. They definitely can contribute to low gas mileage and performance. They dont offer any credits if they are in error or negligent. Customers should get more than a part of apology if they are inconvenienced such as renting a car with low gas mileage because there is no oil in the car which will cost a customer more money to fuel it so if I bring the car back I should get a credit towards my account for the inconvenience. Most of the staff employee are great a handful are not so.

We arrived with a colleague at the ohara airport, we had the problem to orientate. There was no clear way to get to you. We had to ask for a bus. Fortunately the car rental was without delay. The Avis operator behaved professionally. The building is new, practical. But I missed the place for snacks and food. Avis I will recommend. Well thank you.

Google Maps was great! Car return. Was quick and easy. Opens at 5am. Bus takes you to terminal.

Enterprise Rental is top-notch I wish to thank Hertz at Chicago OHare for accusing me of lying and stealing $400 from me ... they lost a lifetime President Circle customer. I switched to Enterprise. They are much more efficient and less stressful to deal with!

Very nice facility used it for economy parking on the 4th level only covered parking available at ohare. Right now you have to use a shuttle bus to the terminals but Later this year 2019 they will have the automatic people mover/tram that can take you straight to/from the terminals.

Ohare airport is a very large place, finding the proper stop for a rental car shuttle was a little challenging. When I finally got there I needed to go to the 2nd floor to talk to the people to rent a car, but I didnt know the stairs I needed were in the back corner because the stairs right next to the entrance were blocked off once from the rest of the floor once you got up there. Not sure if its construction or Covid, or both, but they could use better signage to help people who dont fly regularly find whats needed.

Kind of a pain to get in and out of here. Definitely more convenient than it used to be for rentals but not convenient in terms of exit and getting around within the building.

This is an amazing place inside the building, and it is fast and convenient. Only downside is that it took me almost 30 min all together when leaving the O’Hare airport to arrive to this facility by shuttle bus. I don’t know how long it would take to get back to the terminal then I drop off the car there , so I will try Avis’ innovative service - drop off curb side at the airport just next to the Terminal entrance. 35$ extra

The rental car center is very nice now that they built a garage. When everything was outdoors, it could be a pain to get a car when your flight came in late at night in the winter. Now everything is very smooth. The free shuttle bus to the airport is comfortable and convenient. The only downside is that it takes about 10 minutes from the terminal to the rental center.

We used this rental service, Enterprise to be exact, and were very pleased. The off-site location isnt clear when you first land and are making your way through the OHare terminal but curbside staff were very friendly and helpful. The rental facility looks new and our experience was quick and efficient. The signs make it easy to navigate once the shuttle drops you off. Return was also easy. The signage is good, just use the address provided to plug in your navigation app and it will be just fine. I would allow a minimum of 45 minutes to drop off, catch a shuttle and make it to the airport terminal. This doesnt include check-in and tsa security time, just time to plan to get back to the airport. I could see it taking longer during busy times. But with little foot traffic it took us 35-45 minutes start to finish. There is a gas station a couple of minutes away. Pleased with the rental experience overall.

Facility is nice in and of itself. Bus ride is quite long considering a new facility and the bus drivers vary in quality. Some are courteous and some continually hawk tips which is a joke. You should plan a minimum of 20-30 minutes extra on both pick up and drop off.

THE RENTAL RATES UNBELIEVABLE TO OUTRAGEOUS

I received a text message from Budget car rental stating my Mazda CX5 was checked in successfully. When I went to pick the car up the lady at the counter said I dont know what your referring to and wanted to give ma another car. I showed her the text message and the confirmation. Long story short I didnt get the car I was promised I was given another car instead. The car reeked of cigarettes and was not that clean and had some damage to the rear interior trunk. The women at the counter 2 hispanic women very sarcastic and condescending they need retraining 101 on customer service.

Shuttle system ruins travel.

Theyve really done well with this. Used to be, you waited for an individual bus at ohare. Now its first come, all the same to the same place. Eventually theyll have a train.

The train is still not working and seems to never work.

They need lights on the outside signs at night. Hard to read without them.

Its pretty and fancy, this new arrangement means more time, more hassle. Shuttle ride is longer, car pickup takes more time because the cars are in this massive garage, instead of right there in the lot outside of the rental counter. Return also takes more time. If theres a problem you have to return to the desk, and then go back to the spot where the cars are. Before, the agent took you to the car if there was a problem he handled it right there. Before, you could see the rental companies from the street, easy to get to and leave. Not now. Progress.

Fast reliable service

Beautiful and convenient location but there is still several things that need to be smoothed out and one being the shuttle service. I get in on Sunday night and for the past 2 Sundays we waited more than 10 mts. It’s way to cool for that nonsense. Tonight I missed one the other was right behind. The drivers are friendly but you can tell this is truly an area for improvement. It can be better.....looking forward to seeing the improvement.

The set up is a good one EXCEPT when I returned the rental Enterprise dropped the ball and did not give me the service I am used to.

So much better now that this is at one facility. The bus service is infinitely better than waits for individual company buses that were so infrequent. A great change for ORD now. Thank you.

This new facility is great, for the most part. I had to rent here a few times this year and last year. Very nice, but some vendors require more documentation than others to get a vehicle.

There is the gas station near from this rental car center so you can drive without worrying about the remaining of gas. There are a lot of shuttle buses between the terminal 1 and here, T2-T3 and here, T5 and here every 5 minutes. Driving times is about 10 minutes.

Shuttles were extremely frequent, shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful with passenger baggage, service with Enterprise was quick and accurate at both pick-up and return, and we got the car that we had requested.

Good idea to have the rental companies off site. Many free bus rides ready to transport to and from the airport.

At the parking, they have holes and carts font run well there

Mixed reviewed. I had originally booked a car through fox rental cars, after waiting in line for 45 mins and there were only like 3 in front of me. I find out they have no cars available. I was told I might get a cart in an hour. Ended up booking another car through Enterprise and I had my car within 20 mins, so I cancelled fox rental. So renter beware, stay away from fox rentals use a bigger name but due to this being business trip I didnt really have a choice. Stars given for Enterprise rental.

My experience was made wonderful by our bus driver Sterling who drove us from the rental car drop off to the terminal. Funny, selfless, like able and an all around good guy!!

No food or drink concessions at all?? Almost every consolidated rental car center has some sort of concessions and this one is brand new and they have nothing on site! Then again, its Chicago so I guess I shouldnt be surprised.

This is a HUGE upgrade to the airport compared to how they used to run the rental cars here. Just wish there were some gas stations near by to fill back up. Although I learned it only cost like $5 more to just let them do it.

Rental car buses are not running frequently enough. Despite a stated limit of 15 people per bus, they are cramming 30+ people on each bus. Passengers are removing their masks. It is very unsafe.
