I recently rented an Intermediate Car at the Chicago Millennium Park location. I received excellent service and care at this location from one of the associates, Hudson. In fact, he provided service that far exceeded my expectations and assisted me to make sure the process went smoothly. I will be renting from them again and highly recommend them.

Different since COVID19. I rent regularly since I do not own a car. The level of service since they reopened after COVID has declined significantly. There arent enough staff on site, cars arent a clean and the Enterprise App is only good for making reservations, nothing else. I plan to try another brand after my next rental (to use my points).

Temporarily Closed! I booked a car and went to pick it up here. No one has told me after I made the appointment. Called the number on the paper, I was asked to walk almost a mile to another location. It’s very uncomfortable and unpleasant.

We have used Enterprise Car Rental for a number of years and their service has been very good. The pick-up and return are well managed especially having the after hours return at the facility we generally use.The vehicle we had this past trip was not up to Enterprises standards. The steering pulled to the left or had tendency to over correct when we brought the car back into alignment. At times it was like driving a go-cart regarding the steering. We understand the type of car was not the high end but the road noise seemed much louder. Gas mileage was great, however.Not sure, but I thought the toll pass was charged per day when it was used, ie, if we had the car for 5 days and only needed the toll pass for two parts of the trip the charge would be for the days used not the entire 5 days.

There so professional and Understanding the only problem I had was that they weren’t able to put me in another car after I caught a flat because there was none available but it doesn’t stop there they were able to direct me too a firestone where they changed the tier in 6 hrs .. talking about exhausting .. I then informed them what was going on and they called the place too speed up my service. I was compensated a day for the rental and a full tank of gas best location I was profiled at midway I will be back for another car if needed

The car I rented had REVOKED license plates. I was pulled over on the side of the road waiting for my daughter and the police pulled in behind me. They detained me for a out 40 minutes while they called enterprise. The police then came back to the car and told that I had to drive back to an airport that I had passed 20 minutes earlier and switch out the vehicle. This was the second time they had detained me regarding these plates. The first time enterprise gave me conflicting information. The police told me not to move the vehicle and that they are supposed to tow it due to the plates being revoked. He even showed me the screen in the truck. But an Enterprise employee said that the police couldnt do that because the vehicle didnt belong to them. Thats funny. The employee then told me that all they could do was send a truck I the morning but I have to call at 7:30 when they open. Also it would take 3 to 5 hours for the tow truck to come and I had to ride with them to expedite the switch out of the vehicles. Oh, my daughters graduation from college started at 10am and she had to be there by 9am. I was in Washington, Illinois and the graduation was in Eureka, Illinois, which is about 15 to 20 minutes away. After talking to 3 different people I did get a discount but now my bank statement is NOT reflecting the discount. WOW

My husband and I booked a reservation for a mini-van online from this location for our trip. Upon arrival, the rep Nathan we spoke with told us we had to provide a credit card or utility bills with our address since there was issue with the verification. Fine, but then stated we had to show utility bills with no past due balance. Bills often print in the middle of a cycle, so why does the balance matter? He could not give an answer to that. After leaving this enterprise, I called at least two other enterprises that told me utility bills with no outstanding balance of over $99 and that apparently is an overrall enterprise rule. Ok, well thats completely different from what we were told by Nathan. When I called to ask him was he aware of this, he then stated this is just what Ive been doing since Ive been working here and put me on hold as if he went to speak to someone to confirm the information. He then stated he couldnt find anything to confirm that yet stated there was no supervisor in that he could confirm it with. So for all we know, he couldve been saying anything just to keep us from renting a vehicle. We went to Enterprise on 48th & Pulaski later that same day and got our minivan (with a passed verification at that) and took our trip. Id never visit this location again.

The car was economically, and efficient, I loved it. I think I would buy one I loved it that much. I like a Ford product anyway and I think AMERICA cars are the best. Great and efficient service. I have used this rental facility with some frequency over the past four years or so. The employees are attentive and accommodating. Most importantly, they are great at getting you in and out quickly. As a somewhat frequent renter, I know the drill so I appreciate the efficiency of the check in and out process. It doesnt hurt that they are always friendly and nice, too!

I think either the company or the guy who helped me tried deceiving me, which is unprofessional.First, the guy asked me if Id like to return at 2pm, and I clearly told him Im going to return at 6pm. But in the end the document shows return time is 8am. That is to say, the price showed on the rental document does not include the last day, and I was charged for ~$100 more at the return location. Im OK with with the extra charge but I think the guy in the beginning showed me with a lower price which made me believe the rental cost was not much.Second, the guy asked me how many people were traveling and after I told him we were 3 people he attempt to let me rent -- at least very clear to me -- a compact size SUV -- which according to him is their standard size. After restating we reserved a standard size suv, he said he was going to give me a free upgrade. I doubt if either of his statement is true. (If they are true, there must something wrong with the company. I dont think cars should be assigned based on party size.) In the end, he did give us a standard size one, and the car was what we requested for -- very low mileage, so I will add one star.Overall Im very disappointed with their service. I had had unpleasant experience with Hertz previously, and since some people recommended this company/location, I decided to try, but the experience was even worse. My advice is: DO NOT CHEAT YOUR CUSTOMER.

Michele has helped me numerous times (even helping me sync the car to a few of my devices when I couldnt figure it out). I highly recommend this location and I will continue to rent from them.

If there was a zero star option, I would have picked it. Made a reservation to pick up car at 9 am. They had ZERO cars available to rent and told me they were getting more cars from neighboring lots. 2.5 hours later I still didn’t have a car. They just shrugged and said it would be another 30 minutes. I came all the way from Texas to attend a wedding in central Illinois which I am about to miss. I could have made other arrangements but once I realized I wasn’t going to get a car soon, it was too late. I understand that things happen and it’s a holiday weekend, but there were 9 people on the wait list, all who had reservations, and zero cars available. That’s just absurd. Overall it was a terrible experience. Not sure what else to say.

Friendly and helpful staff in busy downtown neighborhood. They picked us up from the hotel, gave us the car they picked us up in so we wouldnt have to move our luggage, and dropped us off at the train station at the end of our rental to again avoid the baggage transfer. Excellent customer service; I would (and will) definitely rent from them again!

Staffs are very professional and service is very quick. I generally have better experience renting car with Enterprise than others and this particular locations stands out. Many times I have dropped car in after hours, and never faced any issues. Office is located at very convenient place with access from all modes of public transport.Review update - At few instances Enterprise charged penalty for tolls. I wanted to pay online to toll agency, but it didnt reflect on their system till 10 days. When they send email charges to Enterprise, that ends up penalty of up to $20 for mere $3 toll

Enterprise is an excellent company with not only favorable rates but five star service. I have been using the 20 E. Randolph location since this downtown Chicago Enterprise site moved to its present site. The men and women working at the facility have been more than accommodating. I have never been disappointed with the service. I rent cars for volunteer activities and I have found that the rates for its cars are invariably lower than any other rental service. As far as Enterprise as a rental company, I have actually used it almost exclusively for over ten years because I have not found a better or more consistently economical competitor. I would highly recommend the company and the location.

Usually I have great things to say about enterprise as I have only used them when I travel and car is used for duration of the travel. This time I have a different situation. Im staying downtown Chicago for a visit to my wife who works there. We dont have a car there due to her job being 1 block away from living quarters and we save money by not parking and city stickers. We have a trip to take to families Christmas Eve thats 2 hours away and I only need a car for 1 evening,. The enterprise is only couple blocks from living quarters. The issue is, they are closed that night and next day with no drop off location except the airports which is huge inconvenience. Thats not good or safe in middle of night. I noticed someone wrote a review that they dropped of there and put keys in drop box. I guess they stopped that. Guess Christmas with family is cancelled.

I always enjoy my experience at this location. Great customer service, very welcoming and usually remember me (I rent about once a month). Whether they are slow or crazy busy I feel like I always get the same level of service, even letting me pick through their stock of cars if theyre full. I recommend this location to anyone renting in Chicago as Ive had far worse experiences with other rental companies downtown.

Location is great, convenient to all tourist attractions and in the heart of Chicago. Sometimes it gets really busy especially during holidays but nothing like an airport branch. Convenient drop off even after hours, just park the car in front of the office and drop the keys in the box. Only issue I have with Enterprise, and that happened on multiple occasions, is the online booking price is different from what youre charged! Which I never understood especially with no extras what so ever.

Very good experience with the helpful, efficient and friendly Enterprise team at this location both times we’ve rented from them. Called us ahead of time to make sure we knew how to find them, took time to make sure the vehicle we needed was available, kindly offered to put down all the seats in the minivan so we could use it to move house and were very helpful and patient in running through the various vehicle features.

Online reservation was easy as well as the actual pick up. The only downside to this particular Enterprise office is that the garage where it is located has no stairs. When we came back to pick up the car, there was a graduation event and the lobby was full of people waiting to get into the elevators. Other than that, our experience was really good. We were emailed a copy of the final bill as well as a voicemail.

I never got a receipt when I returned the car at Midway airport because they said it was rented at a location downtown Chicago and they couldnt close out that rental and it would have to be done by the pick up location. What kind of unified system does not allow another Enterprise location that accepts the car to close out the rental? They literally could not provide me any paperwork showing I returned the car, except that the manager wrote that on the back of her business card. That was over a week ago and I still do not have that receipt nor does that reservation show up on my account.

We picked up our rental car in the city of Chicago, not the airport. The person who helped us was polite and helpful. The car was just what we needed, and there was no pressure for us to upgrade or buy anything extra. My experience this time with 20 E Randolph Chicago enterprise was amazing. I rented the car for 3 days but returned the car 1 hour after 2nd day was over. They themselves were very courteous and gave me the 3rd unused day fee back. I was surprised. This is a very good gesture, I will enterprise back.

Upon arrival and the basic formalities, I was pleasantly surprised to be asked if I would like a larger vehicle for the same price. Furthermore, as the agent and I were discussing hotels, I found that the one we were staying in gave us a 10% discount on this rental. Not bad for booking on Hotwire, calling them and asking if we could possibly change our pick-up and drop off to a closer destination. I have had a terrible experience at the 20 E Randolph location. It seems like they liked me very well at Enterprise until I returned a car with damage (which should be fully covered by my works insurance policy with Enterprise) on it. The general manager was very confrontational, lacked empathy and was not at all helpful. The employee that was there who I always had a good relationship with all of a sudden seemed to have a hard time making eye contact. I will not be renting at this location again and as long as Hertz and Avis are around I dont think Ill set foot at another Enterprise location.

Enterprise’s famous slogan “we’ll pick you up” is not honored at this location. They do, instead, give you a maximum $5 credit towards your rental to find your own way there. But, even when I am within 3 miles’ proximity, a taxi, Uber or Lyft ride there would cost over 5 bucks.I was only able to keep it under that amount with pool ride which takes much longer. Good thing I called Enterprise way ahead of pick up time.And forget about being dropped off upon returning your rental car. They don’t offer any compensation at all!

They were nice but added maximum insurance without informing us to rack up our bill. After returning the car, spent two days trying to understand why they do that, and they would either not find our reservation, would get off the phone to talk to someone else. Twice, they promised to call back but never did.Rent from them only after checking all the bells and whistles they will be trying to add. Do not trust anything they say, and check what the final bill will be in advance.

I use this location whenever I need to pick up a car after work or after a rental, drop it off on my way to work. The only thing about the location i dislike is driving up/down the ramp to get in or out of the garage. Nightmare for me!! However, once youre in the place, they greet you and chat you up just enough - even remembering your plans upon your return. These guys are fun and always helpful.

Wish I could have give this location below zero stars. Was told to leave the office in zero degree weather after taking the Subway from Midway airport. I wanted to use a credit/debit card which I have done many times before at enterprise and other car rentals. Manager, Bex Trout, says he had called me to make sure I am using a major credit card. I check my phone. He called 12 minutes before I arrived. I tell him it seemed he would have called the day before prior to me leaving Georgia since I had a reservation. He says I need 2 utility bills and instate Id to use my card. I ask if this is a published enterprise policy or one he is making up off the top of his head. He says he is offended. I have disrespected him and I must get out of his office. I leave. I go to the building lobby to try to use my phone to locate another car rental. I reach HERTZ. They will take my card but I must walk 7 blocks to their location. I am already freezing. It is zero degrees and I am not prepared to walk nearly a mile. I finally get a car from Hertz using the same credit/debit card and much Respect!!!Horrible customer service!!! Inhuman, uncaring, compassionless treatment!!!I’m from out of town!!! It’s record cold temperature outside!!!!!A Cold town and a Cold Heartless Company!!!Even if you don’t give me a car, must I be put out in the cold!!!!

Enterprise is ALWAYS the easiest place to rent a car. Ive gone with some other companies in the past (coughhertzcough) and always end up getting charged some additional bogus fee. Go with Enterprise and youll always pay exactly what you agree to online. They usually have plenty of staff on hand and Ive never waited over 5 mins to check in or out. Ill continue to pay slightly more for the convenience of Enterprise.

Car was great - The employee was not so great - I was suppose to have one fee and then when it came to sign everything it was double the price - she marked extras that I didnt agree too. She pushed me into the toll roads fee of $9.99 per day (which would have been $50) and I had to fight the decline as I did the tolls myself with added up to $8.00. I am not happy with people trying to push things on me and double my agreed price. She did switch the price to the agreed price but if I didnt catch it - it would have been ugly fight. Not happy with staff for sure - but car and dropping off in Mlps was a breeze (thumbs up for Mlps staff).

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Chicago, IL - 20 E Randolph St. was very convenient and located in close proximity of my downtown/Magnificent Mile - Chicago hotel location. Although I would not call this location a full-fledge office (it is basically a section of a parking garage that was petitioned off to form a small office setting), the staff was very professional. However, I probably would have given this particular office a slightly higher rating if I had not encountered a problem with the courteous pick-up/drop-off service within the dtown area. When I initially made my reservation, I inquired about the pick-up/drop-off service within the dtown Chicago area. According to this Enterprise office, they provide this convenient service or pay up to $7.00 for taxi service within 2-3 mile radius of pick-up/drop-off services. However, when I requested this complimentary customer service of a drop-off to a dtown location during my rental return/drop-off, I was informed by management that they dont provide this service on the back-end (return) of the rental car services. Well, all I could say was WOW! So, I guess that I was either misinformed or this particular rent-a-car customer service @ Enterprise was suddenly discontinued - either way this was very disappointing and inconvenient. and, Unfortunately, I had to gather my 3 pieces of luggage, take an elevator to the first floor, and hail for a taxi on a busy and congested dtown street like E. Randolph St. Needless to say - I could only rate the customer service of this office as mediocre for my overall car rental experience.

Our experience with the Enterprise company was HORRIBLE. The worst customer service ever. Filed a report with the district manager twice never received a call. Cars did not meet our family needs after we experienced a terrible accident. We have reported to our insurance company they should reconsider using the Enterprise company for their clients.I wish i could give the zero stars but they make you choose one to post.
