Today is the Forth of July and the pawn shop was actually closed. I called and the owner told me to come in and he would wait.. He paid me more than any other pawn shop around. We live in Virginia Beach and will be taking the ride across town cause we wont be going anywhere else. Great customer service.

This is first time going to this business. I found it through Google search. The business was in a shopping center with many stores. Parking is limited but available when I came in, meaning not many parking spaces but was able to park. Knowing they had security made me feel secure as I welcoming by employees. They showed me hospitality. I was assisted quickly, questions answered, maintain professionalize while being attentive & aware of the surrounding. Even in between telephone conversation, customer coming & going etc, the employees made sure they was assisted & continue to help me. I got everything I needed & make sure everything was in working order before I left. Told me about warranties, layaway, non-refundable fees etc. I wasnt for sure if it was kid friendly but it was. I would recommend this store to family & friends.

My first time visiting today. Very clean shop with a friendly staff. I love the location of the shop. They have some of the more exclusive type of firearms, especially for anyone in the market for a shotgun. Decent ammunition in stock—prices are high but that is to be expected during these times. I will definitely be visiting again to check out one of the dirt bikes!

I used this facility for the first time last week to do a private firearms transfer. Highly recommended. The staff are very friendly. Most outfits in the area dont share the same sentiments. Some wont even do a private transfer. I will most definitely use this place of business over and over again. And heaven forbid if the day ever comes that I need some kind of loan, this will be the place Ill patronize.

I had been looking for certain items for a while and it was challenging trying to find what I wanted during this pandemic. I visited their store today for the first time and had an absolutely excellent customer experience. This pawn shop was easily the best organized and cleanest pawn shop Ive seen in the Hampton Roads area.Most pawn shops have prices on their products that are an absolutely rip off.. Literally to the point that in most cases you can buy whatever youre looking at brand new somewhere and it would actually be cheaper... (seriously, this is a thing... and this is the case at many if not nearly all pawn shops in this area)....That is NOT the case from what I saw at Chesapeake Square Pawn... they have honest pricing and everything I saw looked to be in excellent shape. Per my interests... they have tons of music equipment, instruments, and accessories. So, if thats what you are looking for you literally have a TON of options in that regard here.To sum it up... I visit pawn shops A LOT because they can be great places to find used musical equipment and instruments... and I have been to probably 80% to 90% or more of them in the Hampton Roads area... with that being said... Chesapeake Square Pawn puts every other pawn shop in the area to shame and they run their business right. My experience today was well worth writing this novel of a review. I believe it was James and Emily that helped me out today and not only were they very helpful and courteous but they took the time to have an actual conversation with their customer. Well done Chesapeake Square Pawn! 5 out 5 and would definitely rate higher if that was a thing.

This has been one of the best pawn shops in the Hampton Roads area that I have been to. Everyone here is nice and friendly. They help you to get the best deal when both buying and selling from them. You dont know the deference between silver plate and solid silver.you also dont know the deference between troy ounces and standard 28 gram ones.

Went there to buy a red dot sight for my rifle and spoke to associates about buying the sight for my rifle. Once I inquired about a sig suarer red dot they recommend it. One I got home and opened the package to find out the sight only fits sig pistol. Simple mistake so I thought. I tried to return the sight with no success. I even offered to take store credit and still no help from the owner even after I spent over $1,000 in the store the day before.
