I Have Yet To Live Here Which is Why I am only giving 4 Stars. However , My Experience here so far has been so amazing in terms of finding apartment availability and with my application process as well as questions or concerns I had. Both Bonnie and Ashley have done the absolute best to help me with everything. Bonnie went above and beyond with helping us find an apartment to apply to with a move in date that worked with our end of lease date from a different apartment . Definitely recommend anyone taking a look at these apartments if you are looking to move near here. Even if I don’t end up getting the place , I will definitely recommend it to others .

I have lived here for for about 4 months now. I absolutely love the experience. I am happy with with my apt. Maintenance is on-point. I recently had a 3 day hospital stay. I called and spoke with Bonnie. I asked if she would allow entry into my apt so that my boss could bring some things to the hospital. She was happy to oblige. She called me a week later to check on me after my stay. I was very appreciative as she went out of her way to make sure I was okay. I gave 4 stars because of a small security issue that has been addressed and noted with the leasing office.

Overall not a bad living experience, all things considered. I wish we would have been made aware before moving in for our one year lease that the entire apartment complex would be undergoing construction - starting about a month after we moved in until the time we will move out. Whenever all of the renovations are complete though I think the apartment complex will be a nice place to live.

I truly wish I could put zero stars for this place. There is a reason this place only has poor reviews. If there are good reviews its because the complex has offered raffles, ect for good ones. Please just trust what you read and do not move here.I dont even know where to start we lived here for 2 years on the dot and had more problems rather than good experiences. Firstly management is the most rude and unprofessional group of girls I have ever experienced. I am just going to bullet point my bad experiences to make it easier to understand.-They forced us out of our apartment because they wanted to do interior renovations I use that word so lightly. They gave us no choice but to sign a new lease for a more expensive renovated apartment or we could leave. One of the renovations being removing all the floors on the 3rd floor (our floor).-Now not even a week being moved out they are trying to charge us for a tear in the vinyl that was there when we moved in. We stated that the floors were only in ok condition but we are being told that wasnt good enough. They are charging us $191 even though we didnt do it and even with the fact that they are removing the floors. When we tried to speak to Ashley the manager upfront she began yelling and repeating herself over and over as if she was having an episode stating If you keep yelling at me I will hang up! We were simply trying to understand the situation. It was unprofessional. I am still taken back.-They are currently renovating the building exterior they are removing panels exposing water damage that they are just covering with new fresh siding. They also left us living in torn apart apartments because of the cheaply done work. The door panels are knocked off the wall.-When we moved in we vacuumed our apparently professionally cleaned carpets and were able to fill the vacuum twice each room with dirt and dust. It was disgusting. Especially because they advertised Stanley Steamer coming in. There were also nails sticking up in the carpet from it not being properly installed. Everything in the kitchen is old, the draws got stuck constantly. I know other tenants who had the same exact issues.-The dishwasher and sink never worked properly and constantly smelt like rotten eggs. The sink constantly clogged up and would back up into the right side whenever I used the dish disposal dirtying my clean dishes. It was disgusting to say the least. The dishwasher did not clean or dry the dishes and would never drain.-They allow random people to use the fire pit including frat houses who come and do chants all night long. (I cannot make this stuff up) When I called the courtesy officer and the officer who picked up told me Yeah people keep calling me from there I am no longer the courtesy officer I dont know why they havent changed it sorry. I was left to call 911 just looking to get some rest at 12am on a work night.I have also attached photos that we took on a walk of the renovated building. This place is a joke! There are a ton of places to live in Chattanooga and I highly suggest not choosing Rise at Signal Mountain!!

Dealt with construction during lease. Neighbors were insane and loud, mold in the ceilings and balcony door, and a cockroach problem. Pool didn’t open until mid summer and had it shut down because residents keep spilling glass in pool. I received a parking pass that had hairs and was ripped, therefore my car was towed. When I moved in the apartment it was dirty and missing the renovations that they promised. The cleaning lady walked in on my apartment when I moved in with my boxes (Rise forgot to clean before I arrived). Overall, this was the worst lease experience. If you’re thinking of moving in make sure you take pictures of the filth for Insurance purposes.

I completed a 13-month lease at The Rise, and we just moved out this week. I was sad to leave because we had nothing less than a fantastic experience! It’s close to downtown, clean, has great amenities, and the staff has consistently been professional, communicative, helpful, and kind over the last year. Again, I didn’t want to stop living here (roommate situation changed), and I would recommend my friends and family to check it out if they were looking for an awesome apartment close to downtown Chattanooga. 10/10! Ashley has been such a helpful and kind property manager! Check it out!

I have lived at Rise for 4 years now and I have enjoyed my time living in my one bedroom apartment. The apartments are quiet, clean, newly renovated, spacious, and very scenic at the base of Signal Mountain. The staff (along with the maintenance crew) is always accommodating and are quick to help with any questions or concerns I may have. I have never had to wait more than a day to have anything serviced and they fixed the issue in one visit. I highly recommend living at Rise not only for the pleasant apartments but for the convenient location at the base of Signal Mountain (only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga). You should consider Rise at Signal Mountain if you are looking for a scenic apartment in the surrounding Chattanooga area.

I have lived at Rise for 3 years now and I absolutely love it! The apartments are quiet, clean, and updated.  The staff is especially great. They always remember my name and are quick to help with any questions I may have. The maintenance crew is spectacular. I have never had to wait more than a day to have anything serviced. I am a single female and have never once felt scared or uncomfortable to walk my dog at night. I cant recommend the Rise at Signal Mountain enough. The convenience to shopping and Hwy 27 is what drew me in but I have chosen to renew my lease time and time again because of the staff and safety of the neighborhood.

We have lived here for almost a year now and it is my husbands and mines first apartment living experience. We have enjoyed living here a lot! Its a great location! Close to hiking, grocery store, and downtown. The office staff are super nice and has always been quick to answer and help any time I can or stop in the office. The few maintenance requests we have made have been fixed quickly and efficiently. There has been one or two requests that have been left undone, but none that are a big deal. The one downside is that we have seen some roaches and spiders, but I think that is mostly because its Chattanooga and our unit facing the woods directly.Otherwise, its been a great experience and look forward to staying here another year!

We have lived here since 2019, having come from another state upon retirement. Having lived in other apartment complexes before, we found the staff very considerate and sensitive to our needs arising from time lapses and doctor and hospital visits. The ease of reaching the city-downtown and services in different parts of the county are superb when compared to other metropolitan areas. The feeling of confidence in the staff was stimulated when we were requested and moved from an older to a newly renovated and upgraded apartment unit in the same complex. In early 2020 my wife passed away. The staff support then became superlative so that I have requested they renew my lease for another year.I am happy to recommend the Rise Apartments to You!

Today marks one month being at The Rise. And honestly, its so nice. The unit was pretty much tip-top shape upon move in. There were some spots with wear and tear but these are old buildings so that is expected. I was going to ask for my shower to be redone because the unit we toured had a shower insert and we got some stale looking tile, however the water pressure is so good I honestly just decided the tile wasnt worth potentially ruining the water pressure. The drawers in the kitchen are stiff, but we were fully informed that the unit we were moving into wasnt as remodeled in that area and we took it cause we wanted the black cabinetry instead the new natural looking wood stain. All in all, these apartments are reasonably priced for the area and, for what youre getting, definitely worth it.

Weve lived here for almost one year now, and are very happy and plan to renew our lease. Our apartment is newly renovated with new appliances, and beautiful new floors that are easy to keep clean and dont get damaged. Also, they are pet friendly which is a huge plus! The amenities are great as well - the pool is really nice (plus, sometimes the staff will bring out popsicles on really hot days!), they have a dog park, outdoor grills available to all, and this location is right near a bouldering trail (and a short drive to some beautiful hikes). The office staff are amazing and responsive. Any time weve had a maintenance request or a question, they get back to us within the day if not sooner. Theyre friendly and kind and remember your name. As someone who has rented for a while, having a responsive staff that works to meet your needs is essential, which is a huge factor impacting our decision to rent here again. We just wish the dumpsters were closer, and that they had more pet waste disposals throughout the property (which is something theyve said theyre working on). All in all, would highly recommend Rise!

I’ve lived her for about a year now and I like it! The apartment is cozy. One of my favorite parts is that the bathroom light has two settings: the normal light, and then a dimmer light that goes on with the fan switch. It’s great for getting up in the morning when you aren’t quite awake yet.I live on the first floor, and I feel perfectly safe here. Occasionally over the summer I would find a roach. My building is close to the woods, and being on the first floor, it can’t be avoided. Staff was great about calling pest control, and they spray regularly anyway in all buildings. Everyone is super professional and friendly. They really try to make all of their tenants happy here, and will respond to all voicemails and emails, which I appreciate. Overall a very nice place to live!

Shame on management for having cars towed of hard working citizens that live here. Our lives should not have to revolve around a paper tag hanging in a window. Sometimes life happens and we are already busy enough working to pay the rent here. They take our vehicle tag information down when first moving in. Well, they give us cheap tags that may break or fall off the dash, I have seen this more times than I can even count of residents whose cars get towed. They refuse to give a list of approved tags citing privacy concerns which does not make sense when a tag can be seen from anyone, nobody can do anything with it. The tow company goes around and looks through windows and hooks and tows late at night after usually everyone is asleep and won’t notice it until the next morning and then call to report only to find that it’s been towed. Now that they have a security officer here that receives reduced rent, he goes around with the tow company picking out cars without hang tags. They don’t even give the list of tags that are registered with the office even still. He is a cop, he can’t be trusted with the list???? Nope, they still have them towed whether they are residents here or not. It’s all based on the hang tags. This isn’t right no matter how you look at it. The tow company takes your car where ever and charges an absurd amount of $185 cash plus whatever else kind of fee he wants (depends on what bills he has to pay that month??) or $75 drop fee cash if you happen to catch him that late at night. This is dirty and this needs to be addressed. You should not treat people like this. This is not luxury living when you have to stay up at night worrying if your car is going to get towed and you pay an absurd amount of money for so little, but yet so much headache. They ask you to change these responses in exchange for a credit. Stop trying to change peoples points of view that are looking for a place to live. Stop treating us like kids with these stupid tags and let us live in peace. Get that list and use that if you’re going to tow. It’s hard enough for the residents to have to pay what they already are without you and the First Response tow company doing this unjust and down right dirty stuff to people.

Where to begin with this. Okay lets see we moved in about 4 months ago to the complex. The starting rate was 840 for a 1bed 1 bath (utilities not included). We signed a 6 month lease because my roommate is an international student and wasnt sure if theyd make it into graduate school. And on top of everything else going on in 2020 wasnt sure if theyd be forced to return to their home country. About 2 months ago we were informed that we needed to decide on a new lease by the end of September. We chose to go month to month until we new for sure if the roommate would get into the graduate program and if they would receive funding. Thinking we got alllll of that figured out finally, today we are given a notice that they no longer honor the month to month contract and we would need to chose another 6 month lease or a 12 month by the first of October (2 days!). Note that the price for the unit has increased INSANELY. From 840 to well over 1100. This place aint worth that. First off, there is a horrible spider problem (and management will charge you for exterminator services even though the complex is literally beside the woods!). The paint job is cheap and the flacking in the bathroom around the doors, the floor is not really wood and the carpet it subpar. The door might have a deadbolt but its not very sturdy. Someone has been smoking pot in the complex since we moved in and since there is a shared vent system, it is smelled throughout the entire building! But they havent been able to find whoever is behind it. Also walls are super thin and we can hear whenever the downstairs neighbors are arguing. Somehow water is almost 80 bucks a month for 2 people. And the AC/Heating never turns off unless you yourself turn it off. As for management, I mean the manager is nice. I dont blame her since this is a corporate run location. But still....Do yourselves a favor and find another apartment complex.

I would like to update my review. I originally left the apartment complex a review of 4 stars. I have left the first review at the bottom of this one so you can see how things have changed. The apartment complex has recently been bought out and this has cause some really problematic changes. First rent when up to the point where the price of what Im paying no longer matches the apartment I live in. If you have one of the updated apartments I believe that makes sense but I live in the smallest not-updated apartment and since my drawers wont open, I have put in request to fix my fridge handle that has not be addressed in weeks I dont think Im getting what I pay for. They are also residing the buildings and putting in new windows which is WONDERFUL since the old ones let tons of bugs in, however the communication with residents has been awful. I got a notice on my door saying when the residing and window replacements would start but it was a range of 1 to 4 weeks. A week after it started, with no notice they ripped out my window in my bedroom while my cats were out. When I called to complain and ask that we get notices closer to time to make sure that our animals were safe I was accused of not reading the notice and that they would not change to make sure that animals in the community were safe by giving us more notice. I am highly disappoint in the lack of communication and care shown.Original review:I am a current graduate student at UTC and I moved here last summer from Mississippi. I tours many apartments before my husband and I settled on this one. I really love the location, it is 10-15 minutes away from UTC, 10 from downtown and is very quite. The property is very pretty and quite. The office workers are very sweet and helpful if you have any kind of issues. The price is reasonable for the apartments especially since they have washer and dryers in unit which is a huge plus for us. They get 4 instead of 5 stars because the apartments are older and we live in one that has not been renovated. The cabinet doors fall off a lot because the particle board that the cabinets are made of is so weak. There are some bugs that get in the house, they spray but it does not really help much in the summer. None has scared us away from living here and we will be renewing out lease for my last year of graduate school.

They charged me for one day since it wasnt turned in on the 31st. Didnt really care since I was buying a house anyway. During my time there though they had a water main break that cutoff water to the entire complex for 3 days. Had to set off a bug bomb to kill the roaches, and $200+ Electric bills during the summer. Management changed at the end of my lease and now it has changed again. Would not recommend this unless it is the only option for you.

Fine other than the fact that parking is the worst. My girlfriends car was towed even though she was parked in front of the building she lives in and was impounded. She was not notified that it was gone and woke up to it just missing from the parking lot. The leasing office was very dismissive and unapologetic about the scenario and now she is out $185 for the impound fee. The property manager, when asked why she did not notify her about the car being towed was literally MOST PEOPLE FIND OUT WHEN THEY TALK TO THE POLICE WHEN THEY REPORT IT AS STOLEN. Inexcusable and I would think long and hard about choosing this management team to rent from.

I’ve lived at The Rise for almost a year now and I have really enjoyed it! I moved here from another state so I did not know much about the area. Ashley and Cassie were super sweet when we were searching for a place and that’s what really caught our eye. I’ve only had one issue being the dishwasher, and the maintenance crew took care of it after two visits. Otherwise, everything’s been great. My unit has been updated besides the shower so that’s really nice (the water pressure is still really good to be an outdated shower). There are some spots around the apartment that need repainting or a touch up, but it’s really just average wear and tear so it’s never bothered me. The carpet is very clean so that’s a huge plus for me. My place is always very quiet which is great for studying. I never have any trouble finding parking at my building but that seems to be a complaint of others so I think it really depends on your building.Since The Rise has gone under new management, they’ve included a lot more resident events which include money prizes and they also offered help during the COVID pandemic. Downtown is only 10-15 minutes away and the Walmart and Aldi is super close. Rent is high compared to where I moved from, but when compared to other apartments around the area, it’s reasonable for what all you get. I look forward to another year here.

I have lived at the Rise for almost a year a now, and let me just say that the only reason I am leaving 1 Star is because of how nice the ladies (Cassie, Ashley) are in the office. However, since about the 3rd month of my lease, it’s been problem after problem. My roommate ceiling was randomly leaking because I was told by maintenance that they did not fix a water line correctly in our neighbors homes above us.We also got noise complaints for playing music apparently too loud, and instead of neighbors asking us to turn it down, they called the apartment police and one night Chattanooga PD on us. We felt like we were nice to them and they always smiled at us, but it was obviously fake. One day, my roommate also had to Kill a Lizard in his bathroom. A long day after work and we have to come to lizards living rent free with us.And tonight, to put the icing on the cake, I opened my closet door, and i see a gang of cockroaches on the inside of my door. They were lined up like a football team does whenever they are about to Kickoff.Again, these ladies are nice as they come, but the apartments needs a lot of maintenance. I will not be resigning once my lease is over !!!!

Actually, changing my review since having lived here for two years now and seeing the quality in service and living space deteriorate (didn’t think that was even possible). The complex became under new management though the office staff stayed the same and quickly got busy revamping the property. Some changes made, in part due to covid, were to get rid of complimentary pest control which has left us with tons of roaches and spiders. The other changes included re-siding the buildings leading to almost a year of construction leading to a severely disruptive environment and making it extremely difficult to work from home in the middle of a pandemic. Suddenly they decided to stop accepting our packages in-office one day making it almost impossible to receive mail that doesn’t fit in the tiny mailboxes. We were made to go down to the post office during business hours when it’s extremely inconvenient for full-time workers and puts both residents and employees of the USPS at further risk and when already overloaded. The office has also been extremely unhelpful and difficult to work with in matters of noisy and disruptive neighbors and when being made aware of trash and pet waste that scatters the property. If you love all this and the smell of illicit substances through a shared ventilation system, this is the place for you. Also love getting charged the full amenity fees for almost a year while not being able to use anything including the private gym. I feel like other reviews touched enough on parking so I won’t mention that but I can tell you they’re 100% true and annoying. Also, want money off rent during a global pandemic? Hopeful for a rent freeze because times are tough? Too bad, this place will make you participate in a decorating contest to try to get even a tiny discount and otherwise shamelessly promote a link to federal assistance if you dare want more. This place deserves less than a star tbh and is waaaay overpriced especially when neighboring a brand-new complex with better amenities for the same amount monthly. Think again before signing here, or in our case, resigning.- current residentOriginal Review:Since moving into Rise, the office team has been nothing but accommodating and willing to answer any questions weve had. Moved to Chattanooga for grad school, so I was extremely happy about the average 10-15 minute drive to campus. Maintenance is responsive and try to help where they can. The only real problem weve noticed is that parking can be difficult and often sparse which results in having to park a far distance away from our apartment. The parking pass is also a paper tag rather than a sticker which can get annoying and also dangerous (towing) if you forget to hang it.Otherwise, there is a pool, fitness center, dog park, firepit, multiple grilling stations, and also a short trail in the back that leads to a creek (mountain creek rd). Overall, our time here has been great and we will definitely be signing for the following year.

The absolute worst apartment complex known to man. Multiple maintenance calls the lead to nothing being done. The apartment wasn’t even cleaned before moving in. They won’t even update my window blinds like the rest of the apartments until I renew my lease.. Absolute garbage of management. COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE. And to top it off they have a tow truck come and pick up my new car after I had been in a wreck and lost the old paper tag they gave me for my parking permit. I hadn’t been able to make it to the office for a new one yet since I work all day and have been dealing with school too. The tow company charged me $75 just to put my car down after they started to drag it across the parking lot with my E break on.. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid these apartments AT ALL COST. Maintenance showed up twice on a Sunday afternoon to fix busted pipes. I was grateful for it and respected them for that. I left because I took a job in Colorado. All of my neighbors were great. The only problem I had for a while was parking, but it was addressed and resolved quickly by the staff. If I had to do it again I would!!

Heather and the team have been NOTHING but awesome and supportive! I made a long distance move and Heather was incredibly helpful not only in helping me through the leasing process but giving me great advice for the area as well! I love my apartment and have the BEST view :)

Heather and Jo have been so nice and pleasant to work with over the leasing process. Im moving in in two weeks and Im so excited! The only reason why I give it 4 stars not 5 is because I dont live there yet. So there might be something I dont like. And its right at the top of my budget.

My cousin lives here, and I stayed with her a few weeks this summer. I love the new renovations that have done, its so nice. The staff is very polite and very caring. I love coming to visit her, and the gas station across the street is super convenient!

If I could give lower, I would. I have lived here 10 months and thankfully moving out in a month. This place is WAY WAY WAY over priced for what it provides. There are roaches...although they state that they spray. The parking is terrible, especially if you have anyone visiting. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews that told me about this place before I signed my lease. There is not a peep from my apartment, yet there are noise letters left for all the members of the building.

This place is a joke. Pool is always nasty (debris, cigarette butts, etc), parking is impossible for residents, people speed like crazy here, apartment is run down & impossible to get things fixed. Maintenance requests get ignored, deleted and marked complete when they dont even do them. Removed ammentities for the kids and put in a place for pets. Dogs are great and all but kids need things to do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! You have been warned! Im a current resident, not an old resident just ranting. Cant wait to get out of this place, absolutely a rip off and pathetic.

If I could I wouldn’t leave a star at all!! But I guess I’ll say that the one star is for the friendly ladies in the office. Other than that this place has been nothing short of disappointing. I live by myself and pay 60+$ for water, and close to 150$ for electricity... not to mention I was told these prices were average for apartments for around her(that was a lie). Bugs and spiders are everywhere even though “pest control comes once a month” or atleast that’s what we pay for included in rent(pest control has come a total of ONE TIME while I’ve been living here since May). Over priced for cheap renovations. Will not live past my lease date.

Mountain Brook as a community and dog friendliness is great. That being said it gets one star because not only is their maintenance crew incompetent, they are non-existent. If you need something on the weekend, forget it. If your apartment is flooding over the balcony they would rather stay on the couch than help you. They hang up on you when you are persistent in trying to get them out. All around the worst maintenance crew Ive ever had. Ive been a renter for going on 8 years, I know that apartment’s maintenance isnt always the best but this is unbelievably bad. As I write this its 85 degrees in my house and has been all day. DONT RENT HERE!

The staff are very nice and friendly, but I am very disappointed that the company who now runs it chose to close the Pool PRIOR to this Labor Day weekend. Its also frustrating that they wont allow EPB even though its cheaper and faster because they deal with Comcast.

I dont know how you can spend over $200 in electricity on a 1000 square foot apartment, let alone $80 in water for a family of 2. Very overpriced rent and they only have Comcast internet/tv service which is also overpriced. I wouldnt be surprised if they have some type of agreement with the water company they use and Comcast to get a cut of the bill. Thats the only explanation. Save your money and go somewhere else. The apartments are very small and rundown. Neighbor was constantly smoking weed and made the inside of our apartment smell like weed also complain several times and they never did anything glad were gone.

Nope. DO NOT live here. Ive had so many bad experiences- water bills are CRAZY high and are measured based off of the WHOLE BUILDING, not your individual usage. Also they didnt tell us up front, but apparently you have to let them know SIXTY days before you move out - even if you only signed a 12 month lease. So now we have to pay for an extra month even though we wont even be living here. Yay.
