I would recommend 10 stars if I could. The move in process was very speedy. The staff are amazing and very welcoming. I’m renting a townhouse it’s very nice and well kept. The space is amazing! I promise you won’t be disappointed it’s a great place to live. I’ve been here almost a month and I’m glad I chose this community. The rent is reasonable for the area that it’s in. Close proximity to everything. I couldn’t ask for better.

This complex has a family feel to it. Neighbors wave at eachother and most people decorate their patios for holidays. Children play outside. My son and I love it here and feel very safe. We cant wait for the pool to open up. There is ample parking and the front office staff is a pleasure to deal with.

I have lived at North Woods for almost 2 years now and love it! It is so pet friendly and people friendly! There’s so much scenery and walking grounds! Not to mention the great staff. They are all so friendly and quick to respond to maintenance requests.

My family and I have been living here for over 2 year and absolutely love it ! The women in the office are the nicest people I have ever met and so are the people in maintenance. Whenever I need something done in my apartment they are very quick about getting the job done and won’t leave until whatever I need is fixed. The property is always kept clean and well taken care of. They are always doing fun things in the office weather it be giveaways or small party’s which is great if you have kids. My family and I love living here !

I love Northwoods, my family and I are very happy we found this place. If it wasnt for them being flexible and working with us, we probably wouldnt have made it to Charlottesville when we did. The staff is great everyone is so nice and caring, maintenance is absolutely amazing as well, they complete everything as quick as possible and theyre all so pleasant when we have any concerns, i appreciate that about them. The neighborhood is quiet, its always clean and they definitely go out of their way to make this everyones home. I love that the walls are cement so you dont hear your neighbors lol! I just hope we can continue to live here longer pending on the rent increase.

My partner and I recently moved to north woods from Texas. We did all of our touring and signing virtually and Haley was amazing! We live in the townhome style which feels very spacious and the large windows make the space bright. There is also a great community vibe, love it!

I’ve never had a more pleasant experience with property staff before. Sarah was the one that guided me through the whole process but I have spoken to others and they are equally nice. Upon moving in, I did need some maintenance done with my unit but it has been so prompt it made my previous community seem like a joke. This neighborhood is peaceful and safe. I wish I had moved here sooner!

Literally the worst place to live for the following reasons.1. You might get an extremely outdated unit2. Wood roaches!!! Theyre every where! And they wont go away after they spray your residence3. Terrible insulation or windows. Your utility bill will be at least 120-160 a month!!4. They will charge you about 250$ for a cleaning fee and your place will be cleaned by some handy man and it will not be clean!! They will charge you a professional cleaning fee and hand you a mediocre clean place. There will be crud still behind your oven and a dirty fridge.Overall its a gross place to live!

Five stars! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, maintenance is very timely and caring and the amenities are fabulous! The apartments themselves are just beautiful too! They are extremely dog friendly too which we love for our little puppy!

I am a contractor that frequently does work at North Woods and they are by far one of my favorite properties to work at. My week is so much brighter when I visit the office ladies at North Woods. They are extremely kind, helpful, and great at their jobs!

We moved, in the beginning of 2020 and they have been very nice and worked with us every step of the way. Love the amenities of gym and pool. The gym is never full and neither is the pool. Any issues I may have they are a phone call away and are prompt at resolving my concerns.Only issue is rent fluctuates year to year and my worry is it might increase the coming lease to the point that I would not be able to afford it. It is to the point that I been looking for another houses just Incase and Im still more then 6 months out till my lease is renewed.

I just moved here from Florida, and the customer service at this place is amazing. Chris, the maintenance man needs an employee of the year award because he’s always so patient and does so much work around here. Sarah, Erin, and I’m not sure if it’s ally or Halley Or both lol but they are the best! Always answer all of your questions and are always very willing help. They always sound so happy and never frustrated no matter how many times you call. IF you run into any issues here, they would most definitely take care of it.It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood and close to areas you may need to run errands often. Great first impression of Charlottesville.

The community is beautiful and the people are even better. From the ladies in the office to the maintenance crew, they are amazing to say the least. My experience with Lauren as my leasing consultant, she went above and beyond showing me all units I requested, and did this all with a smile. Clay has fulfilled every maintenance request for my apartment and always goes above and beyond. He is very knowledgeable and personable when he enters your home. He respects that your home is a home and not just a place to eat and sleep. The entire team has made me feel welcomed into this community more than I could ever put into words.

Sarah Craddock is the sweetest lady in management! Every time I’m in the office she’s there with a friendly smile and a warm SINCERE conversation! The staff here is friendly and genuinely cares about the comfort and happiness of their residents! I couldn’t be happier to have found this place!Also- the pool is in the perfect spot! Just enough shade and still enough sunshine for a tan!

My roommates and I have been here a little over a year and we absolutely love it. The office ladies are great and the maintenance staff is even better! Everyone super friendly and responsive. Even though it’s a big complex they know all of us by name and say hi even if we are just walking around the neighborhood. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We moved in about six months ago and have really enjoyed it so far. Everyone in the office is incredibly helpful and has resolved any of our problems very quickly. They have also been incredibly helpful with all of the snow lately and quickly meet any service requests. The community is great for pets and is in a great location for shops, restaurants, or downtown.

What a lovely place to live. Especially love the garden apartments as we are adopting a dog! We were blown away by ease of the leasing and move-in experience. All staff members went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating, and above and beyond with the customer service experience. Haley was especially wonderful and answered all questions promptly. She was honest and genuine and has made this place go from a house into a home.We moved in from an apartment in another part of town where the landlord did not communicate well and did not fix broken things or address complaints well - our new apartment at Northwoods couldn’t be farther from that in the best way possible. The maintenance team was immediately on top of the few minor wear-and-tear issues and fixed everything the next day after submitting a work request. Tyler, Brian and Clay helped us most recently with fixing the seal on our sliding glass door and did great work - everything is professional here. Would choose this neighborhood to live in again and again.

A peaceful, quiet place to live. Ladies at the leasing office are beyond helpful, and genuinely care about your wellbeing. Maintenance men are awesome, very respectful of your privacy but also always on call to help. Weve lived here for 2 years and have just signed another 15 month lease. Not to mention, the apartment is close to everything you need: gas, groceries, and only about 10 minutes from the downtown mall. Would definitely recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I have lived at North Woods for 2 years already and just signed another 15 month lease. We absolutely love living at North Woods! The rent for our current place was going to increase, so we spoke with Erin in the leasing office and she showed us a different home we could transfer to that would be significantly cheaper for us, and we like it even better than our first place! It is so evident that the entire staff truly cares for the residents, and they are always ready to help with anything.

The leasing office and maintenance team work together to form a very efficient system. Everyone is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The entire is staff is welcoming and friendly.

We lived there for about three years. They are very quick to respond to your request, very nice and caring. The neighborhood is quiet and nice.

We are living here for 2 years now and I have to say that we love it. The neighborhood is always calm and the maintenance team are as fast as you cant imagine. They take care of snow so fast and all other seasons there are so many flowers that makes the scene so beautiful

All the neighbors are friendly. The staff does an excellent job of bringing us together with different parties and functions. We have been here almost 12 years and love it! The maintenance team is very good and friendly. The grounds is award winning seriously. I cant say enough about how hard they work to make the Northwoods experience memorable.

The staff are absolutely incredible and professional. All of our maintenance requests were fixed right away and treated with priority. Every person who works here are so nice and remembers you by name. You feel important as a tenant and treated with respect.

I have lived at North Woods for nearly 8 months now and LOVE it! The apartment staff is always very friendly. In addition, the maintenance team is phenomenal. They have responded to our maintenance issues in a timely manner and have went above and beyond our expectations. As for the actual apartment, each apartment is equipped with a front lawn/cement area, which is definitely a benefit, especially if you like to grill or enjoy the outdoors. Another plus is planned events, organized by the staff, which allow you to meet more people in the complex. I would definitely recommend checking out North Woods!

Ive lived here for a few months and so far have been very satisfied. During the recent snow storms, Ive been really impressed with how quickly they clear the sidewalks and parking lots. And the complex is very convenient to lots of shopping areas.

Haley is the best and friendliest representative. My wife and I were trying to find an apartment in Charlottesville VA. We went to many places here looking for friendly business people to work with us. She explained everything perfect and we were very pleased with her. This is what excellence looks like. Lived here back in the late 90s to 2002 when I moved to Richmond. Moved back here in 2016. This is the only place I would ever want to live in Charlottesville. Its home. The staff are great, the maintenance are absolutely fabulous!! The complex is convenient to every thing and I love my neighbors. The apartment management goes out of its way to make this a great community. Absolutely worth every penny of the rent.

I have lived here for over 20 years now, and I love it. The grounds are nice and clean and always well maintained. The staff is always friendly, helpful and available when needed. They are constantly having drawings, pool parties and different events through out the year, which is almost always a cash prize. I have won half off on my rent for one month, and even a won a weekend for 2 which included 2 nights stay at the Hampton Inn. and dinner at Red Lobster. I have never ever had problems with bugs. Have never had problems with noise, I have made many friends since Ive been here. The pool and gym has been a very nice addition. Both are also well maintained and very clean. Overall a very nice place to live.

I lived at North Woods at the Four Seasons for 3 years and loved every minute of it!Pros: The management is excellent, always in the office when you need them, polite, friendly, and most importantly, helpful. The apartments are nice and well maintained. Any issues were handled within 24 hours, but usually someone came by the same day to take care of any repairs. Another, plus, the apartments are a pretty spacious and well located around stores, gas stations, and major roads. The grassy areas are cut and cared for, and there are plenty of dog stations so residents can clean up after their pets. This is a very family and kid friendly area. Best of all, you can bbq on your patio!Cons: Given the location (lots of woods around), sometimes bugs and ants (black) can be an issue. Maintenance does a good job spraying when complaints are made but we did have to buy ant killer for around the doors and lower walls to keep them out. Also, there is a small lake across the street where a huge group of ducks live. Those ducks seem to include the apartments as part of their territory and will often block the road while dozens of them cross the street. Still, these are small issues compared to all the benefits and not something management can do too much about.I would move here again in a heartbeat.

We are a military family and have been stationed here for 3 years. We love this place. The staff is friendly and fun, the maintenance staff is quick to respond, and the management do lots of fun things for the residents. The amenities are the best and community is safe. I recommend living here!

I have delivered mail at North Woods for many years. This is my favorite stop of the day. The girls in the office are always so nice. I enjoy being their mailman. The only reason why I don’t live here is because I own a house.

This is a very immoral company that is continuing to stubbornly keep me trapped into a lease, despite the fact that Im newly married and as a result had to abruptly move to a different state afterward due to this and other uncontrollable circumstances. If there was any way I possibly could have stayed I would have been willing to instead of being forced to have to break the lease or end it early, being that I am a very reasonable person. If only this company was the least bit reasonable. The only way that they will allow you to break your lease is to pay 4 months worth of rent and basically go bankrupt (unless youre wealthy), with no exceptions. Its also very difficult to get someone to take the lease over (which they try to push you to do instead), especially when you live in a different state and no one wants to take over a lease on a sky high rent. These apartments are outdated, dont have modern appliances, and also have insect infestation issues. Please beware before deciding to rent from this horrendous company. This situation has been an absolute nightmare for me and my family. My apartment also had a horrible mold issue that was never completely erraticated after repeated complaints. I was also never given any kind of courtesy compensation in any form as a result of this. Moreover, they increase the rent by $60 per year and are only concerned about money. Please heed this warning and dont make the same mistake that I did by ever moving here.

Ive lived in my unit for over 2 years now and counting. For its price, this is the best apartment complex in town taking into consideration size, utilities, community activities, the endurance of the buildings construction, etc. If something doesnt work, theyre on the spot with the maintenance team, who are just personable as they are efficient. When my toilet clogged, it was instantly fixed. When my water heater cracked, it was instantly fixed. Coolest landlords ever.

The property is amazing and I loved the tour that the salesperson, Haley, gave me! It was the best place I toured all day!

North Woods has been such an amazing place to live!! It is a wonderful atmosphere with staff who truly care about your experience by hosting community events and always making sure you are all set. If you ever have a problem with anything in your apartment, the maintenance staff is always eager to help! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to live here. So close to everything you need in Cville, and only a short drive away from downtown.

I have lived at North Woods since 2012 and i can say it has mostly been a positive experience. I have encountered some very great staff at the front office and lovely neighbors near my home. My son loves the playground and pool. Location is close to everything even downtown but far enough away to stay quiet and peaceful. Speedy maintenance responses and always egar to help North Woods is a nice place to live.

Ive been living for northwoods for about 5 months now and since my time of being here I have fall in love with the neighborhood. Its peaceful here and the stores I go to are within a 2 mile radius of the neighborhood. The staff here are all very friendly and knowledgeable and are quick to fix a problem when one comes up. The area is very dog friendly and theres a dog park next to the playground which is nice cause if you got both kids and dogs you can get them both burned out.

I’ve had a great experience at North Woods over the last year and a half. I do not normally leave reviews but the staff here deserves it. I recently had a problem with my stove before a family dinner party and called the office in a panic. They had someone over within the hour to fix the problem. Maintenance knows what they are doing and is very responsive.

No complaints here. Good location, friendly and effective staff, friendly neighbors. All around good experience living here. Only complaint is the kitchen doesnt have a lot of storage space which makes it hard to stock up on the essentials.

Do NOT waste your time and energy. I just got a collections letter from the A holes. They cannot stop trying to nickel and dime me to death! I have the letter coming from Dominion saying that I dont owe them jack. Horrible company just look around for some other place to live. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!

Ive been a resident for several years and out of the few I have lived Northwoods is by far the best community. The location of the property makes it convenient to just about everything and the leasing office staff are great to work with.

Love the staff, theyre super sweet and accommodating. Any problems we had moving in were taken care of quickly and efficiently, which is why I like it here so much. Only reason for 4 stars is some of the rude neighbors make things a little aggravating.

I worked with Haley Carter last Friday and it could not have been a better experience! She was very professional and knowledgeble. Haley was upfront about many of the details. She went above and beyond and has a great personality to match. Plus each of the other staff members were extremley pleasant and very helpful throughout the entire process. When Haley wasnt available, another associate would step in to assist witout missing a beat. As far as the property goes, they are taking working strategically to renovate as some of the properties are dated but are in solid condition. Thanks Haily and team!

I just signed my second lease with Northwoods. The most valuable resource that this place has to offer is its staff. From the people in the office to the maintenance staff, I have thoroughly enjoyed each interaction I have had with them. If you see any of them walking down the sidewalk in the community, they will make an effort to say hello and address you by your name. Every time that I have had to interact with them as a resident, they have gone out of their way to accomplish whatever it is that I needed. The property is well maintained and provides a pleasant living experience. It has a great pool and a gym that will suit your basic physical fitness needs. The only cons that I could point out with Northwoods is that the appliances are a bit out dated and the floor upstairs creaks quite a bit. These are very minor issues for me, but they may be more important to somebody else looking for a place to rent. If you want a good size townhouse for a very fair price compared to current market values, and a peaceful living experience, this is the place for you.

Lived here in 2010 and moved back in 2014. We enjoy living here. Typically a quiet community with friendly residents. The front office staff is always friendly and attentive. The maintenance workers are prompt and courteous and have resolved all the problems we have had. The staff has contests, pool parties and other events to get residents more involved in the community. The property has a pool, gym, dog park, playground and computer lab and is located near everything in Charlottesville. I also like the fact that they allow DirecTV and they allow grilling in the patio area, two things I love to do. I would give 5 stars if the property was upgraded a little. The carpets, floors, and some appliances could use some updating, other than that a good place to live.

I loved living at North Woods. They have maintenance people available when you need it and also checking out the property every day. You get 24/7 access to the gym which is never crowded. Its in a safe and good location near 29 so its close to most places youd go in Charlottesville. 10 minutes at most from downtown. Lastly I loved my apartment and the style. By far the best place Ive lived in Cville at a reasonable rate.

Started calling the leasing office today around 12. I’ve called over 10 times and never an answer. Left 2 voice mails. What’s a guy have to do to get some human voices on the phone and able to talk about my concerns! Lady called me back the following morning. Mentioned their phones were down and was calling me from the maintenance phone. She was never concerned with why I calling at first. BUT made sure to tell me my review was unfair and I was being unreasonable with the review. Listen, I left 2 voice mails the day before within 6 hours. And it took you until the next morning to check your voicemails? If you knew your phones are down than someone should obviously stay on top of things and check voicemails every so often. She mentioned within the first 3 mins of the conversation about the review numerous times and was more concerned about that than anything else. Went as far as saying she wouldnt help me until I took it down. Once we finally discussed why I was calling she told me she wouldnt be the best person to talk to and i would need to another direction with my concern. Which I fully understood at that point. But the woman was just a complete idiot.

My family and I lived at Northwoods for a little under two years. Out of all of the places I have lived, and it has been a lot, this was the friendliest and most comfortable. The staff is always kind and quick to remedy any issues that may come up. They always come up with fun ways for the community to get to know each other and to show their appreciation to the tenants. One day that really stands out to me is when they were handing out Chic-fil-a chicken biscuits to people that where on their way out to work early in the morning. A NorthWood employee was out in the cold handing free biscuits to people in their cars on their way to work. Where else do you get love like that? The employees always remembered who I was and asked about my daughter. Stuff like that means the world to me. I would recommend this property to anyone. 5 stars!

Worst apartment ever in Charlottesville!!! They charged way too much and even if you already moved out a long a time ago,they will never stop sending you bill that youre not even suppose to pay it.

The neighbors are trifling and very,very nosey , the rent is absurd and will go way up after the first year, the rental office is very judgmental and will not hesitate to void you lease even though you amend the actions asked of you , they act without collecting any information from the accused side and will not directly confront you , and dont be a day late paying rent god forbid !! its atrocious what they will do to you ! We are currently being evicted on unfound complaints with little or no evidence collected on the individual complaint , they neighbors will call on grudges or spite and they will get together and have you removed ... I am telling you it is not a good place to get your start ... awful in fact !
