So happy to be a resident at Barclay Place! The management is super friendly and maintenance requests are attended to almost immediately. Could not have asked for a better place while moving in to a new city :)

We’ve been at Barclay for 2 years now. It’s a lovely community with responsive staff and great amenities. We enjoy that Barclay is pet friendly. They do not currently charge a monthly pet fee (just a one time pet deposit) which is what makes them stand out from other apartment complexes in town.Their parent company, Great Eastern Management, often engages residents in community contests and giveaways, which makes us feel appreciated as residents.The 4 star review is because the units are a bit dated, with mold being a common issue. Upon move in, our unit was not presented to our standards of cleaning as well. However, the maintenance staff is responsive and helpful, which is appreciated!

We absolutely love living at Barclay Place.  Our neighbors are nice and friendly and we enjoy how quiet it is considering that we live in the heart of Charlottesville.  The property is well maintained and the staff have been very responsive when asking a question.We definitely made the right decision when choosing Barclay Place as our new home.

The tour guide was incredibly courteous and quick witted. My friend and I received a tour of two potential rental apartments, along with a brief, but to-the-point breakdown of what to expect. Our guide gave us ideas on what she thought would be more beneficial, but overall, she was a huge aid to my friend and I attempting to find a new place to live.

Maintenance people are the best! They provide nearly immediate service, and are professional and courteous. In general all the staff make living in Barclay a pleasure.

Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request the service has been prompt, professional and well done. This is probably the most professionally run apartment complex I have ever lived in. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

Barclay Place staff are terrific. Mo helped me with a problem with my air conditioning quickly and thoroughly. The office staff is professional and extremely helpful. The follow-up to problems and questions is wonderful.

Barclay has been nothing but amazing to me throughout my time here. They have the most amazing staff and maintenance crew on site who are efficient and thoughtful for any concerns or questions you may have. I have had a positive experience living here for the past eight years. The rental office especially, Tammy and Mo have always taken care of any issues quickly ! This is a very family pet friendly place to live!And I also met my lovely wife here! How lucky!

The work was completed in a timely manner and the individual that did the work was very professional and polite.

This is a nice place that is usually pretty quiet (unless you count dog barks). Everyone is friendly and it is very safe. The rooms are a nice size and kitchen is nice as well. Its easy to submit maintenance requests and pay rent. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a dog-friendly but nice place to live!

Tammy, Emily and Mo are FANTASTIC! We don’t have problems that often but if we do they are quick to respond and they fix the issue! I have been a tenant for quite some time and enjoy living here.

The process of apartment hunting became significantly less stressful after meeting with Krystian, who provided me with information on all the available units at the time, allowed me to tour the same day I showed up to inquire, and helped me expedite the application and move in process. Things could not have gone smoother. I have not had any issues thus far in the process of moving and getting settled into my new apartment.

Short term furnished rental with everything needed to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The development is located a short distance from a good assortment of businesses. You are only about four minutes away from an Uber pick-up. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m a travel nurse and if I ever get assigned to UVA again, Barclay Place is where I will stay.

I worked with Krystian Jones to lease a temporary corporate apartment. I had a number things that changed over the lead up time and Krystian was completely helpful in getting things resolved to help me successfully secure the apartment to match my time schedule and needs. Kudos to her!

I had been in touch with Krystian Jones for scheduling tours at WestGate Apartments for a relocation to the area. She was extremely helpful and even was able to provide a better recommendation for one of their properties at Charlottesville Towers that was closer to where my work is and had plenty of space and within my price range! Devontia Talley took me on tours of both property locations and was super helpful with the details of what was included in each property, such as utilities and offers to upgrade appliances. She also gave my family, who came along for the ride, and I a great recommendation for lunch that we all enjoyed! Their amazing customer service made my relocation jitters more manageable! They are so sweet and easy to work with!

Lived here for a year and loved it. Would have stayed if I weren’t relocating to another city. Any maintenance issues were resolved quickly and Emily is hands-down the best leasing agent I’ve ever worked with. She answered dozens of questions for me with patience and was always quick to respond.The community is great and residents all seem friendly. My apartment had outdated appliances as others mentioned, but then they don’t charge you higher rent for that so I was happy. Outdated does not mean from the 70s or non-functioning. Everything worked great and looked nice enough. Definitely recommend for those wanting to live in Cville without paying Cville rent prices!
