This business does not adhere to it’s posted hours. I went on a Sunday a little after 5 after seeing it was open until 6. Upon walking in, I wasn’t greeted before being told they were closed. I looked and the open sign was still clearly on and the salon was full. No one on staff tried to have a conversation with me and were focused more on me leaving as quickly as I arrived. Customer service skills are needed for the success of any business. I will not return.

I have gone to this nail salon several times and have always enjoyed the experience and have been happy with my nails, but this last time I will not be going back. I was going on vacation last week so I got a SNS mani and regular pedicure. Pedicure looks great, mani was terrible, and the removal of the remaining SNS nails today was the absolute worst. When I got the dip powder nails at the time in the studio they looked great, but then on the way home I noticed my hands felt tight and upon further look most of my nails had the acrylic OVER the cuticles or pooling at the cuticles creating a ridge, and the nails were the thickest dip powder I have ever seen (I should have inspected more closely in the salon and asked, so this part is on me). Because of this almost right away the nails were lifting off the bed and would get caught on hair, clothes, etc. Most had fallen off or were gently worked off my me (which I know, not good to do and damaging to the nail), so I went in to get the remaining 5 nails safely removed by a tech. I should have saved my $5 removal fee because instead of buffing and soaking the tech just used cuticle clippers and RIPPED off the rest which I said it hurt and flinched, but to be honest I just wanted the entire experience over with. She seemed miffed I didnt get another treatment but now i am left with painful and damaged nail beds. Sorry, never coming back.

It is the first nail salon Ive tried in Charlotte specifically Steele Creek. Very clean, incredibly organized even when wifi went down for check in. Was able to get me and 2 daughters in for pedicures even on a busy Good Friday. Only reason a 4 instead of a 5 is because before I left the chair, polish got messed up and the fix hasnt stood the test of time (6 days). Will definitely come back.

I love this nail salon. It’s large and clean with two long rows of massage chairs. I always get great service from Megan.

They are so attentive and offer you some to drink. Dont have to wait long and they do a really good job in nails and in cleaning.

One of the best nail salons in town. Lou and his wife have several salons in Charlotte and each one is better than the other. This is probably my favorite. The staff loves what they do and they are such a great group of professionals. Besides getting a beautiful set of nails I always walk out smiling because the staff is so much fun!!! Try it out, you can’t go wrong!!!

I need to keep my nails short for the job that I do. So I asked them if they could replicate a picture that I found on Google. It was short acrylic nails. It had diamonds and a French tip nail on one nail. She replicated the picture perfectly. Absolutely love this place they are very professional clean organized I like this place better than the other place I was going to. I walked in and waited at counter for 5 minutes. No one acknowledged me after waiting over 5 minutes, so I decided they did not need my business. I will find a place that is based on customer experience. Never miss a chance to make a great first impression...

I love the fact that there was no wait time before being assigned to a technician. The tech was very friendly, understanding and willing to please. It’s a convenient location for me because it’s close to my neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this shop to others.

Steve did my manicure on my natural nails with gel polish. Customer service was very good. They had plenty of staff so on a busy Saturday afternoon with no appointment, I still had no wait time. My nails were done very well. I would definitely recommend this nail salon.

Just started coming here just under two months. I like how my nails are done and Ive had a few pedicures as well. Since its new to me Ive been just a walk in on all my visits. Im feeling out who I like best to be able to schedule an appointment with one person to do all my services. This way I will always get the same service and build that relationship to where Im not asked what Im getting everything I come in.

I have been goin to the salon for 2-3 years and then covid hit, the technicians are great, all of them! Of course I have a few favorites, but they all know what they are doing. Today I went back after a whole year! It felt amazing! The techs remember you and the personal greeting made going back that much more amazing!

Julie and Vin are great ,I am a retired cosmetologist/nail tech /salon owner so my point of view maybe different, but these two always get 5 stars from me always great work.

Rude is unacceptable! I wont spend my hard earned money with rude people (a.k.a. Vin) who refuse to give you a timeframe for service and then behave like youre wrong for asking. The worst part is that they dont even have a manager on hand (or so they say) to field these types of issues. You wont get my money or recommendation EVER again and I suggest that others head over to Bliss Nail Spa or Beverly Nail Spa instead if youre searching for good customer service. You wont get it at this place.

I always feel safe when coming here. Super sanitary manicure and pedicure procedures. I am extremely ticklish, and they are always very patient and kind. Very friendly and fun staff, always helping me learn a little Vietnamese during my appointment. Thanks for laughing with me and sharing your stories!

HORRIBLE! I usually dont leave reviews but this is warranted! I am just concerned about my nails and the nails of humanity. If you cherish your lateral and proximal nail folds and also your cuticles, BEWARE of this place! My best friend and I went to this salon on yesterday and it feels and looks like our hands got caught into a paper shredder! Our lateral and proximal nail folds are so sensitive! The UV machine for your nails had to be set on Hell, bc the machine got so hot my fingers were burning. I will post pictures of my hands but I am too embarrassed to post my feet. I have small pinky toe nails and they took it upon themselves to paint over the skin so it will look like I have a larger toe nail, I looks like I have on press on, pinky nails! Also the ventilation isnt that great (I had to use my inhaler upon leaving this establishment). Go here at your own risk!

My first visit was with my sister to celebrate her 35th birthday, the staff was friendly and professional. What I really appreciated was the level of service was awesome!!! The old saying treat people the way you want to be treated...they really uphold that statement. pedicure service was awesome.I suggest the Royal option it’s a little pricey but worth it!! If u like spending your hard earned money on a nice pedicure just to see it chip one day later, then this is the place for you. Ive been here 3times and each time my polish starts chipping a day or two later. Plus u pay extra for pedicure massage but it feels like a toddler is rubbing your legs and feet. I wont be back.

I am very picky on who does my nails that I used to drive an hour to someone. One day I said I’d give this place a try and they have been absolutely amazing!!! They are very clean and are doing everything they can to keep social distancing in order. I recommend this place!

I came here 11/27 around 5p.m(for a fill in)(because my first service here prior went well & because my nail salon closed early as Thanksgiving was the next day.)As I was walking up to the door I looked at the operation hours(closed at 7:30.) I did not see a sign stating otherwise. A man walked up the window(I believe this was the owner) & turned off the Open/Closed sign. I thought this was very unprofessional but I walked in anyway. The owner & the rest of the staff (including the lady who did my fill-in) just seemed very rude (in a hurry & rushed) maybe to begin the holiday. Terrible customer service.I definitely would of been more understanding of the situation if there was a sign stating 1) Limited Staff or 2) No more customers at this time. Sorry for any inconveniences.I will not be back.

Come here all the time for SNS nails and eyebrow waxes. Everyone is always very friendly and they do great work, Ive never had an issue. Very clean, bright, and reasonably priced. I love that I can sit back relax and enjoy a glass of wine as well!

Great nail salon! So many great things about this place: quality nail techs, extremely clean and modern salon and never have to wait (walk in and apt.) This is the best salon I have been to, the staff is friendly, they always offer beverages and are very accommodating about getting you in with very little wait.

First time customer here. Ive headed a lot of good things about the nail salon and I thought I would give it a try. I got nails filled and got gel paint on Sunday 4/14/19. I was happy with the outcome and told the nail tech I will surely be back. Tuesday came... paint started to peel off☹️ I got it fixed and i was happy again because I was leaving for the beach Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon after the pool.. paint peeled and acrylic chipped. Thursday the same thing happened on the opposite hand. I had acrylic and gel done before and went in swimming and did other activities and nails stayed perfect. I am disappointed because for $35 I shouldn’t have to come back for a re-do

I used to be a regular at another nail salon here in Charlotte - the place did pretty good work and it was the first place I started going to when I moved here 2 years ago so I didnt feel like I needed to branch out. Went to WetPaint with a coworker one Friday after work almost 3 months ago and I havent been anywhere else since. The space is huge and very nicely decorated, super clean which I love. Theyre quick, they do amazing work, theyre all very nice and friendly, and best of all is the price! I recommend this place to all of my friends now.

Nice decor and nice staff but limited designs. If your just looking for a salon that can do a basic manicure and pedicure then this is the perfect salon for you.They can do acrylic and fillings but they don’t have enough colors or designs. If you ask them to do a unique design they will tell you that they cannot do it.

I had been going to this place for the past months until i got someone do my nails she was a short asian lady and she messed up my nails and pedicure. When i ask her to fix it she got upset and started talking to her co workers. She was very unprofessional i did not like her and decided to go to beverly nails by target

This place is AMAZING!!! The service they gave was awesome, as soon as I walked in I was being seated in the pedicure chair to get service and the facility is beautiful! I get pedicures all the time but this was the BEST pedicure I have had in a long time! He took his time, massaged, and it was just a great experience and peaceful atmosphere. I definitely recommend.

Not really satisfied at all! As a retired hairstylist there’s a certain expectation I have. Especially when it comes to cleanliness. The atmosphere was good. Only about a 30 min wait for a Sunday which I thought was pretty good. I asked for a VIP and the towel she used looked dirty and old. She laid that towel across my legs! No wrap! She also rinsed my legs with the dirty water not the hose with clean water! Won’t be going back there.

Im done!! Been a customer at the South Tryon location for YEARS and looked over a lot of things wrong that has happened but this time was it!! They put a new girl on me who acted very timid, like she was scared to service me and very nervous and that was my fault not stopping it but I was crunched for time. My GEL nails for some reason didnt feel right and when she said shed do my brows....I asked was she new, she didnt answer and got someone else. Right then I knew I wasnt imagining anything. I expressed what I was feeling and the other girl responded, ok. Well, 4 days later 4 nails broke off (my own nail), all felt week and polish chipped everywhere. GOODBYE WET PAINT....or WET MESS!!!!

I’ve visited WetPaint Nail Bar several times and have usually had a pleasant experience, but my last experience was not what I expected. When I came in, I asked the person sitting closest to the door the price of a gel polish change and he said it was $25, which I was fine with. I signed in and indicated that I wanted a gel polish change ONLY, however, my nail technician gave me a gel manicure instead. Even the technician, Ben, who took off the gel polish I had on previously asked me what I wanted and I stated a gel polish change only again. The price difference between a polish change and manicure is minimal, but its the principle! I was charged extra for a service I didn’t ask for, and I honestly shouldn’t have had to pay for that service when my request for a gel polish change only was in writing. Im not sure if Ill keep coming here - the ambiance of the salon is really nice, but the technicians should ask what the person would like done before doing a service and charging them for it without asking.

I’ve visited this nail salon a few times the receptionist was always kind and professional , but this last time today was a bad experience. Their was a younger girl who rudely asked how could they help , I went on to say I was there to get a full set and my request for services was turned down. I understood the closing time was at 7pm but I was there at 6:30 and from what I know if you’re running a business you should run it professionally! Ben stated “we are not a market , we perform” after that I wasted no more of my energy responding ..

Nice environment but my nails look terrible. Everything about them is a dissapointment. I didn’t say anything because I thought I would like them later. I do not. Way overpriced especially for a bad job. Also, I asked for coffin. One side of my finger is coffin, the other is square. And they used gel without me asking for it which made it more expensive .

Wonderful experience. We had a large group. And they accommodated us happily. They had plenty of employees. And they were working very hard to accommodate everyone very professionally.

So I’ve been here multiple times and it hasnt been horrible except for my pedicure chipping almost everytime lol. Anyways, I went w/ my mom today & it was 6:00, they close at 7:00. We only wanted gel manicures. They were not welcoming at all. They were very rushed. I also saw a lady walk in at 6:20 and they told her to come back tomorrow. I understand that they want to leave bc they’ve been there all day, but it’s just good business etiquette. Anyone in the retail business knows that the way you treat your customers is the way your business will thrive. So they lost three costumers today!

This was my third visit. I had been in on Saturday afternoon and had a mani/pedi regular polish on natural nails, no complaint other than lack of communication. My nails looked great and I gave a big tip.However 2 days later I had 2 chips in the polish on my fingers. I went back and was advised by the receptionist that I was lucky if I got 4 days use of polish on natural nails. She advised me that if I wanted it to last I should do gel nails.(I work hard on my natural nails and dont want gel!We couldnt find the exact polish color we used on Saturday so I let them know I would change my toe nails also to match, my choice. I also had a brow wax. All of the treatment was okay.When I went to pay I was charged for both finger and toe nail polish changes, and brow wax, of course. I asked the receptionist if I would get a discount on fingernail change since the other only lasted 2 daysShe told me no that natural nail polish doesnt last long. I advised her that I had never had any problems before that most times mine can last up to 2 weeks! She said oh well owner isnt here. I told her that I would not be back due to her rudeness she said oh well ,y,our decision as she turned and walked away. Very rude. I would not have been as upset or even wanted a discount if she would have been a little more compassionate. I was the customer but she treated me as inferior to her.She not only lost a tip for the tech but also lost a customer. She acted like I HAD to be there. Believe me that I could not be further from the truth. I do however believe in respect! There was none.I honestly liked the service prior to this and would usually not complain but she made my blood boil! Very rude receptionist!

I have been to a few nail salons in the rivergate area, but this is by far the most consistent locations for quality, ambiance, and customer service. I have seen 4 different techs and they were all great, if I had to pick a favorite it would be Tracey! And for those who think they are racist, I’m Indian, and pretty brown with dark hair, always been respected as a client.

The ambiance of this place is open and relaxing with a subtle sophistication. Enjoyed the experience and the staffing efficiency.

I looked them up just to see if I would find any discriminatory complaints because I had one today with them. I don’t normally go when it is busy but I went today and it was busy. I had three different people do my manicure. The first two people that were working on me, left to go work on women who had blonde hair. The younger girl with the glasses, who was very nice, ended up finishing my nails. There was a black woman sitting beside me waiting for a while for them to start on her nails. One lady started but then passed her on to the young lady who did my nails. I guess when it is slow, all money is green, but when it is busy, white is right.

Prices are a bit much but service on my nails were great. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that I asked for gel polish on my feet and someone was confused and told the person who attended to me the wrong info so I received the wrong polish.

Loved my nail technician, she did a great job, but we also had a great conversation. She gave me recommendations for an upcoming trip I was preparing for. Will definitely go back!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Theres this really sarcastic guy there that always says some rude stuff to me as if were friends and Im supposed to be comfortable with him talking to me that way. Hes obviously a family member and just walks around,not really doing anything, hes in his 20s. Anyways, a part from me encountering him every time I go, another Nail lady there told my mom to put her feet in a tub that clearly had gunk and someone elses dirt in there. That is unacceptable. I would steer clear from this place. Do NOT go. AND I totally believe the racial encounter from the woman above.

I was very disappointed. I have been going there since they opened always satified. I went October 10th and I was not happy. I asked about a design, they said someone could do it. When the time came, no one did designs. I really was not happy.

I moved here 2 years ago and they are the only shop to meet the quality of work Im used to! They cost a tiny bit more for some services as compared to other shops, but their work is superior to other shops so I dont mind!

Horrible job. They looked so bad I could see though the polish. As a mom I dont have extra time to fix a bad job so I just had to leave vowing never to return. My nails peeled the next day. Ive never had so much acetone poured over my hands over and over again. It caused an irritation on a couple of my fingers. I dont recommend this place for the price you pay...

Horribly rude little guy with tats . I was told a few things in this shop that I wouldn’t wish for anyone to hear. Americans account for nearly 100% of their clientele. I don’t recommend this dump to anyone who stands for something! He thinks he’s above everyone! I’m going to make this well known to everyone that I know! Please make this the last choice on ur list... there are plenty of nice clean polite nail shops out here. The wet paint staff isn’t one of them.

I had to edit my last review. The last time I came in, the guy doing my nails was terrible. He kept making mistakes and cut my cuticle too low on my big toe. It was hurting and bleeding a little. When I kept telling him, he insulted me and yelled at me. I have never been treated so unprofessionally. I will never spend my money here again!

Reviewed and researched nail salons in the area and tried this salon. First experience was great. Returned and had a horrible experience with one nail turning green. Was told it was due to me washing my hands too much. I was given fungus (free of charge) to take home and returned two weeks later to have my nails checked. Everything was good and I made appts. With the same person to ensure the same thing did not happen again. Several weeks after getting my nails done sevaral times by the same person my nails are now damaged and I have two nails that are green with fungus. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years and have never had any issues. The owner of this salon was rude and said it was no issue and she has thousands of clients. I will NEVER return to this place and please be careful. TOTAL DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!!

UPDATED REVIEW (Sept 2018): Have to change this from 3 stars to 2 stars. They only seem to honor appointment times for pink customers. Ive been going here about 3+ years and have never made an appointment. Ive been forced to wait or return later for those with appointments. This last visit, I made an appointment. My nail tech for the past 3+ years, Steve, was working on a pink customer when I arrived. After 15 min of waiting, I reminded him that I had an appointment. If it had been me, he would have brushed me off to another tech. He has tried it several times before. He continued with them for another 20 min putting me 35 min behind schedule. Once he started on my nails, you would have thought he would have apologized but instead he began berating me for being agitated and told me that I should know by now that he isnt a regular nail tech and that with him, there will always be delays. I kept my cool and kept silent (which was a huge feat for me) because he had already started my nails and I was now running late. I pay large tips and in cash but since he said he isnt a regular nail tech, I didnt give him one this time. Im downgrading from 3 stars to 2 instead of 1 because I love my pedicure tech, Vanny. Despite my love for her, its time to take my business elsewhere. FIRST REVIEW (early 2018): They started out good but theyve become complacent over the last few months. They were a breath of fresh air when they opened several years ago but the service has declined recently. Even the nail products theyve been using lately have been subpar. Gel polish shouldnt chip. Lately, it seems they are hiring inexperienced techs. Some of which I wonder if they actually are licensed.
