This salon is unable to match your nail and toenail polish. They make very little effort. I ask them to match my nail color to the toenail color and I am very disappointed. Not even close. Its shouldt be that difficult. Other salons are able to match but this salon seems to struggle.

I went without an appt because my usual place was booked. The wait was about 30 minutes while I sat in the chair with water. The service was quite good once we got started comparable to my regular place. I would go again with an appt though I ended up being there about 90 minutes

I have been coming here for years. Ive moved twice - farther each time - and even though I could walk to another Polished location, I will still drive to this one because the service is so wonderful. Van and Pina are incredible and have become friends over time, I always cant wait to see them when I come in. I recommend everyone go see them.

I went with my mother. While they were very nice during the whole thing they charged extra to trim my cuticles when I had a manicure. My mom got SNS and they charged extra to remove the SNS. How does one with SNS get their nails redone without removing what was there. I’m so annoyed that they are so greedy that they will do that. I WILL NOT BE BACK

I asked for coffin with pink white ombre.. she proceeded with two nails and it was just not looking how I am used to. I told her to help me find a color for gel that I found on Pinterest and she proceeded to tell me to continue to look through the stack myself. Not accommodating at all. This is I left with.. horrible shape. And horrible color. I told her I wasn’t happy very nicely and she was so rude.. i paid full price anyway but I swear I won’t be going back.

The pedicure seat I was in had a broken foot pad and kept moving around while the tech was working on my feet so that was annoying. When she started working on my nails (I got a new full set), they ended up all uneven - I mentioned it to her while she was doing my nails hoping that she would fix them and she told me they were not uneven (I was right, she was wrong)...the polish started chipping the same day, the polish was not smooth but felt gritty instead, and they really just looked a mess. Also, the lights kept flickering on and off so it would be dark for about 5 minutes before the lights came back on fully. I ended up wasting my money at this place and will not be back. I took the nails off after just 4 days because I couldnt take it anymore. They looked terrible. Dont waste your time or money.

I got acrylics and without even touching them, 3 can off the next day, hope to be able to get them fixed for free because of poor quality.

Live this place. Pre covid the free champagne or wine was great. But even without those, this place is still my favorite.

I waited weeks to get a pedicure. My technician wore a mask, goggles and a shield. The basin was lined with a disposable plastic liner that was tossed as soon as he was finished. As safe as possible, I believe. Bring your own polish just to be sure.

As much as I didnt want to give this place a bad rating, I have to. Went in for a basic mani/pedi. Places Ive been to before usually last me a week and a half if Im careful. This is 1 day in, and the second try after same issue happened the first time. Same issues with my toes. Weird considering my sister got her toes done as well using the same colors but no chipping. Not sure if it was my technician or maybe they didnt use the same base and top products. Anyhow save your money and go elsewhere.

I have been to every Polished Nail Bar in Charlotte and by FAR this is THE BEST!!!!!!!!! Jenna is who I see for my powder nails (will wait if needed as she is the Best!!!!!!!!!) and she has always delivered beyond 5 Stars and I have to full experience with great company as her personality speaks for itself! Anyone who has ever had a bad experience maybe just did not have the right professional. LOVE THIS PLACE AND LOVE JENNA!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been going to this salon for many years and unfortunately the level of service has declined. My nails just look sloppy now. I may as well have done them myself. It’s a popular nail salon so they move super fast now. I used to feel like they took their time and really made me feel relaxed. I guess I’ll be finding somewhere new to go

Pina and Van are both very good nail technicians. I’ve had several manis and pedis and have never been disappointed.

The nail tech was extremely rough. I was bleeding and now have scans all around my fingernail beds from her rough work. Not happy with the pain she caused. She did an okay job too. My thumb nails were not filed and look jagged after everything was finished. Also had an appointment but had to wait a good 30 minutes to get started.

I made an appointment for 3:00 and wasnt seen until almost 3:45. After asking her for a mint color, she kept showing me a lot of blues and I eventually just ended up choosing one but none of them were what I showed her. As I was getting my nails done, I see the girl next to me with the gel colors and saw about 3 different colors that were mint so that was frustrating. I felt like she rushed through and the place is inconsistent. There was a girl next to me who got the same thing I did and she was told to go wash her hands etc while mine never did. I got these done on a Friday and by Monday I had a crack in my thumb. Tuesday was Christmas eve and with the holidays and a 3 month old at home I wasnt able to make it in to try and get the re-done. I also had some chips of my old color that she never completely got off and you can see the red coming through on one of the corners! When she filed them after painting (idk why they do this), the tips seemed to be more brittle and could chip easier. The cuticles werent pushed back enough or she didnt go all the way back either because they looked grown out right after having them done. One of them is actually jagged. It was my first time here and I was pretty disappointed because I heard such great things about the one in south park.

Gel manicure and pedicure is less than 40 minutes and not done at the same time. Soaked hands in cold water for less than a minute did not apply cuticle cream and allow to soften just started clipping. Pedicure was the same filed heals for less than a minute. They were not busy to be in such a rush. So many better places to go in ballantyne but was a Sunday and I was needing done for a trip on Monday. I can see now why they have a 2.7 rating.. the place was also dirty. Chairs, floor..clean and take a bit more pride in your work. Will not be back .. sad

I paid $90 for me to not get what I asked for. I mentioned I wanted a matte finished from the start- she didn’t listen. I told her I wanted my nails a certain length- she started chopping without asking. She rushed the entire service. Said 5 words to me (which is whatever) but she just paid absolutely no attention to anything I asked for. So that $90 was an annoying loss for me. She dug in my toe.. it was just quite an experience.

Unfortunately, I did not look up the reviews of this Polished location before I went over there today! I had a good experience at the Providence location previously, so didnt worry so much. That was my first mistake! I usually go to Apple Nails in Ballantyne, but I had my daughter with me and they had a long wait for the two of us. I was bringing her for a birthday gel manicure and getting my own. I mentioned this to the techs that were working with us. The gentleman that did my daughters nails seemed nice enough and he gave her the Halloween design she wanted, but the woman who did my nails, poked me twice with her instruments, used COLD water for the soak and no cuticle softener and was so rushed that she missed the sides of several nails when polishing and I had to point that out.I dont think that the service they performed could even be called a manicure, all she did was wet my hands, cut back the cuticle and file my nails, poorly I might add, the tips on several of them were uneven and still very jagged as she buffed them for about 10 seconds! They had the audacity to charge me $35 since I asked for two different colors to be used! I pay $30 at Apple Nail and they actually use a warm water soak, cuticle softener, new instruments every time (wrapped in sealed packages), lotion and massage my hands and lower arms and are very precise about the color placement.I will never go back to Polished again! What a rip off and I swear, if the gel lifts off my nails in the next week, I will be back to get a refund!Dont waste your money here, there are plenty of other salons that value quality, courtesy and hygiene much more!!!!! I wish I could give them zero stars!

Ive gone here sporadically for years, but today was the last time. My number one complaint is they go too fast; I want to enjoy some R&R when I get my nails done, not be shepherded through as fast as possible so they can get to the next customer. I brought a friend today. The lady was going so fast on her nails, TWICE she had to tell her to slow down, as she feared her whacking off the tips of her fingers. Finally, she told her just to skip the cuticles, as she was too afraid shed get cut. Then, the same lady takes her in for a lip wax; she puts the wax on, and in ONE STRIP pulls the entire thing off, again way too fast. Ive never been anywhere that doesnt do three strips: left, right, middle. SHE TOOK OFF SKIN ON BOTH SIDES OF MY FRIENDS MOUTH. Im so embarrassed. Never going back. Demanded a refund for the lip wax, but the lady still didnt seem to understand why we were upset. Insane.

Terrible experience! My mother and I went in together to have pedicures. We were greeted by a staff than were VERY uninterested in us. The woman that did my pedicure never said ONE WORD to me. She could care less! It was a pathetic experience for both of us! Never again!

A 1 star rating is nice... I requested a SNS dip manicure and had a horrible visit. The whole point of a dip manicure is to have a healthier, more natural experience. If you want that, DONT GO HERE! I had a SNS manicure and they who used the UV LIGHT?! I will definitely be going back to Ultra Nail Bar... the prices are cheaper and the manicures are 100% better (with NO UV light... as expected for a dip manicure).

Pena (not sure how to spell his name) was great! Very nice! Even made my 10 yr old niece a special birthday drink.Gave 4 stars because the bottles of polish at the front are messy. Not the best look when you go to pick your polish.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. I have no idea why people give it bad ratings as the customer service is fantastic, the prices are super reasonable, they do a great job, and they even give complimentary beverages to customers and their friends. I didn’t have anything done today and they still treated me with respect and gave me free mimosas. This is the only place we come when we visit Charlotte.

I hardly ever get manicures and I thought Id try Polished. Terrible customer service from the minute I walked in, no one said hello and the nail bar was very cluttered. The technician never looked at me, and only said 2 words when I tried to make conversation. When I left no one thanked me for my business or acknowledged that I was even there. I will never go back, I dont know how they stay in business at Stonecrest with so many other great retail stores.

Unprofessional. Refused to do a service because it would take TOO much time. REALLY?! Tried to convince me to get a new full set that I didnt need. It cant always be about the money... Customers should come first. Janine really let me down this time. I will definitely not be going back.

In my experience, TRUST THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS and go elsewhere. The complimentary beverage doesn’t take away the fact that my gel manicure looks as if my almost 3 year old did it. The most rushed and sloppy mani/pedi I have ever gotten. I will not be returning and can’t wait for my gel to start peeling off which shouldn’t be too long considering it’s all over my skin.

Just got my thumb nail fixed because it was about to tear in half. My technician matched my gel I got done somewhere else and fixed my poor nail with glue and a powder. I cant even tell anything was wrong with it and it had been bugging me for days. They got me right in too. I would definitely go back for a full set of gels

Expensive assembly line service. You never know what youll get here as far as service but it will always quick and expensive. This is the most convenient salon for me to go to but I have had one too many bad experiences here. The last straw on the camels back was when I sat under a nail dryer at exactly 7:30pm. Thats closing time, I was the last customer. My nail tech, whom I had already paid, without a word to me, turned off ALL the lights in the salon and left me sitting in the dark, then she got in her car and left. Fortunately, there was one tech left in a back room that let me out.

Made an appt on 10/26 for 5, I showed up a few mins late due to traffic and my whole appt was out the window waited the entire time. I actually ended up waiting longer than others who walked in the door after me. The lady at the door didn’t seem to care at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please look at the reviews and believe what it says. Very unprofessional!

My sister and I went here from out of town. We walked in and stuff was everywhere(cluttered). The techs were not as friendly and inviting as most. I explained that I wanted square round shape. All the equipment was very dirty but allowed her to continue... she barely spoke to me as I was getting my nails done and when I asked her to correct the length (because most were not the same) she acted very offended. 3 days later and my nails are lifting and look bad. The space was awesome, just wish everything else was too. Very sad to say the least.

I walked in around 10:30, an hour after opening, needing some gel polish removed and a manicure. Im tired of having to have touch ups done so often and am trying to budget to prepare for the arrival of our first child so I asked for just clear polish with a manicure. Everyone acted as though I inconvenienced them by coming in. I felt very uncomfortable. I felt as though my technician was upset that I was not there to spend a lot of money because she continuously asked me why I wanted clear polish and tried to push SNS on me. I told her it wasnt in my budget because of the baby and she did not speak to me again for the duration of my visit. The end results were very sloppy...my nails werent all shaped the same, and were just lack luster. It is difficult for me to convey through this post how uncomfortable I was. I really felt as though I was inconveniencing everyone there. I wish I would have gone back to Aloha Nails where I am always treated so well!

Went here for the first time on Saturday. Wasnt completely pleased with the service. Nail technician left some polish on my skin in front of my toe and ive had way better paint jobs. The inconvenience of not being able to tip on a cc or dc is annoying. They point you to an atm machine to take out money. Like no im sorry but im not paying $6 in fees on top of my service. Get with the times! Many people like myself do not carry cash. I also felt the tech was a little rude. I may give this place another shot but im not sure yet

This Polished location is awful! I normally go to the one in Southpark (which is amazing), but went here because I was on a time crunch and it is closer to my job. I got SNS done and the sides are lifting and she never pushed my cuticles down so they look horrible now, I will be lucky if I can get a week and a half out of them. They charged more than Southpark and the women that did my nails looked insulted at the $5 tip I gave her. I wanted to go to the ATM that is in the salon to take out cash to pay for the whole service, but for some reason she wouldnt let me and thats all the cash I had on me....sooo I dont know what that was about. On top of that, the salon is just dingy and dirty and it was just an all around unpleasant experience. I will definitely not be returning.

I will never go here again. I went in to get a pedicure and manicure on 6/23. It looked great until the next day. My nails started chipping and peeling. I went back to see if they could fix it and the woman at the front desk basically started to reprimand because I didnt pay for jell nails and I would have to pay 30 dollars for jell if I want it to stay for 2 weeks. The way she spoke to me was very rude. Dont waste your money!

Went there today . Soaked hands in Luke warm water, trimmed cuticles and filed nails squarely. Filed too rough and the file cut my finger under my nail. This was my 2nd visit there and the first time was much better

SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE. Unfortunately this relacire time was very frustrating. Their matching SNS/GEL color is extremely limited and presented in a confusing way. I chose the most expensive pedicure All-in and had to ask for a complete pedicure to be performed. They started putting the gel polish on my toes before the pedicure was even finished to normal standards. If your facility is too large to provide quality service for your clients please let us know that up front. I pay good money for a relaxing, quality pedicure and I do NOT want to be rushed with a sub-par job. Please spend quality time with those who choose to give your company business. I actually considered having them stop so I could go somewhere else that actually appreciates their customers and where I dont have to feel like Im an policing into doing their job right. So much for trying a new place.I cannot recommend this nail salon based on my experience here. First of all I want to say the only reason I went into this salon today was because of Trang. She is a talented nail technician & my scathing review has nothing to do with her. But the management is not only unprofessional to customers, but treat the staff with complete disrespect. This is not only unsettling, but as a customer a complete turnoff. This is America, workers have rights & deserve respect & to be spoken to in a professional manner.I felt so bad for Trang, I went back in & took her flowers. This was 30 minutes before closing & the manager was sitting at the front nail bar/ reception area counting the money. Really??? That’s tacky and unprofessional! I have read the other reviews & that seems to be the common denominator. A greed for money with no regard for customer service & the end result.I was planning to get a pedicure & eyebrow waxing, but decided to take my business elsewhere. Another right we as American consumers have..... to decide where & whom to spend our money with.I will be sure to tell my Ballantyne office of 400 other consumers my experience.This is NOT the way to build a Prestige clientele.And by the way.... this is not an isolated incident. It is the 1st time I have left a review. It was that bad!

Was given the deluxe pedicure without being asked- charged extra money. Nail esthetician was in such a rush, the paint on my toes was too thick and the polish did not dry or stay properly.

No dryers so you’re forced to air dry your nails, so good luck if you decide not to get sns or gel. Will not be returning

I typically go to the Polished Nail Bar on Providence rd (which is wonderful--ask for Kim, Sakong--My fav, or Mr. Lee) However, I was in the Ballantyne area so I stopped in for a fill in. I picked my color and sat to wait on the next available technician. Two girls came in after me and were seen before me but I figured maybe they were getting a different service--No big deal. After waiting 25 minutes they sit me all the way in the back by myself. Tao was my technician and was the rudest one of Ive ever encountered. She tried to tell me that my acrylic nails were gel and so I was going to pay $30 instead of my usual $20 for a fill. Its not my first visit to the nail salon so I know what kind of nails I have. She quickly got frustrated and angry telling Me okay if you think its acrylic Ill do acrylic and only charge $20 like she was doing me some sort of favor. (I even called my usual technician at Myers Park location after my nails were done just to make sure) She angrily rushed through doing my nails (less than 15 minutes!) And globbed on nail polish so she wouldnt have to do a second coat. I was never rude to her, never made a big deal out of anything but somehow I was a huge inconveinence. Then next girl she got received a huge smile a full glass of wine while I got less than half a glass and an attitude. I was the only person that waited while I was there.I was also the only black person in that building at the time.I never play the race card, but I will call a spade a spade and Tao judged me based on the color of my skin. I honestly felt like the other technicians took longer with their clients so they wouldnt have to take me.I tip $10-$15 on average every visit, I am never rude, and I patiently wait to be seen. I dont deserve to be treated a certain way because you dont like the color of my skin or you think you wont make money because Im black. I will never go back to this location ever again. If you do go to this location ask for Tin. Tin and his little brother (host) are the only ones with any kind of genuine kindess.Nail technicians just know this---you cheat yourself out of money when you act this way. It is not acceptable and you are NO better than the person sitting across from you.Tao you didnt deserve any bit of the $8 I left for you. The only reason why you got anything at all was because I wont sink to the level in which you seem to think I belong. I gave the rest of your tip and then some to the host. Grow up, and learn something. Ignorance is not okay.
