I have been to Creative Nails twice now and had a great experience each time. Both times they did an incredible job of spending plenty of time on my nails and massage despite how busy it was. Both times I made an appointment so I would recommend that since they seem to be popular. They were kind but also allowed me to relax with their wonderful massage, chairs and calm music. They also are taking cleaning and separation precautions during the pandemic. I highly recommend this nail salon and I will definitely be coming back!

Stopped in because I was in the area and I used to come here years ago when I did yoga at the studio near by. My first technician didnt understand what I was saying...so I was assited by another... I like designs on my toes.. not too many knew how to design and I thought my technician would be able to complete the design... I couldnt wait for another technician...time to go. Not too much along the lines of social distancing.. like other salons... I looked up and someone sat in the chair next to me. Not 2 chairs down as in other salons... double time to go. The service was fine... just missing the old touch of the technicians that did it all.

I absolutely dislike leaving bad reviews. But I must share my experience with this nail salon. This used to be my go to nail salon very professional friendly service. I remember a guy managing the place a while back very very friendly funny guy. I been here a total of 3 times in the past 2 months and got denied service. 1 time is was busy but the last 2 times it was not. The same lady keeps turning me away a older lady. I hate to think that she’s doing it because I’m african American and majority of their customers are Caucasian. Idk but I will not be returning back there. Just sad!

I have been going to Creative Nails and Tan for over 20 years! The staff is very kind, knowledgeable and talented. I refuse to go anywhere else. Best nail place in town!

The place looks like a Standard nail salon. My technician was efficient if anything.He did one pump foam soap from the sink, tossed in some marbles and pour COLD water. My hands were in the bowl for maybe one minute before he took them out and started working on them.He did an average job on my nails, and then a 10 second massage.My eyebrows were done horrible. I told the lady doing them I wanted them cleaned up. She left behind a TON of hair, and it looked shapeless and unclean.People were nice, but this place didn’t hit the mark for me.

I highly recommended Creative Nails & Tan. They always give excellent customer care. I have grown fond of Lily. She does amazing work and also talks with me. That makes my experience that much better. There are pedicure stations with massage chairs, tanning beds and outstanding nail services! They also offer beverages while you’re there. I found my home.

Not detail oriented, applied gel polish directly on cuticles. Also no effective callus removal during pedi.

I’ve been here for pedicures twice now and love it! The staff are friendly and attentive, the pedicures last nearly an hour long (deluxe) and are well worth the money. Last time I went she even got rid of my horrible ingrown toenails I’ve had for literally 15 plus years. Overall very happy and will only go here in clt for pedis from now on.

I visited this nail 4 weeks ago for a spa mani-pedi ($60). The lady who did my nails did a great job! The nail polish I selected was very opaque. I did not realize how thick the nail polish was until the lady put on the first coat. She did a second coat and it was really nice, it was even on all sides, smooth and it dried nicely. She was very nice, everyone was very nice, they place was clean and the customers that were sitting around me were telling me how they have been coming there for years and they love it.I am not good with names, I do not remember the ladys name but I would like to make this place my regular nail place. When I get her name, I will update the post with it. This place is 12 minutes from home but you know sometimes it is hard to find a nice place you like for personal care, so I will keep with them.I have included a pic of the nail polish with the numbers, they are pink and blue. I hope you like them also.I do not normally select colors like this but you must learn to be different and be a happy person for yourself. Do things that make you happy and feel good when you can. Love yourself! We get ours mani-pedis because it makes us feel better, its relaxing, the massage is nice and it give us a little time for ourselves. AMAZING! Got a pedicure it lasted 45+ minutes for the delux pedi. 100% recommend. My boyfriend loved it too. Awesome prices too. Highly recommend.

Ken (the owner) he acts a little prejudice against blacks sometimes. My last encounter he did my nails and cut me. Even after I said OUCH he didn’t apologize or anything. He was very snappy and aggressive. I will go else where that my money and COLOR is accepted!

I have been going to Creative Nails for months now. I ALWAYS get a quality mani/pedi and I am always treated with the utmost courtesy and respect.If you are reading reviews from a few years ago, keep in mind that Ken is a recent owner and things have changed-definitely for the better-since he took over. And to the lady who thought she was being overlooked due to her race... I truly dont think theyd do that. Both myself and my daughter (African Americans) go there. We love it.

The best! The owners - Emily & Ken - take great pride in this salon and it shows! It’s always great quality - both manicures & pedicures. Large selection of polish (I do gel but they also offer many colors of regular polish and dip/SNS), always clean, and comparable (or less expensive) to the prices at other nail salons in Charlotte. Everyone there is always very attentive - greeting and saying goodbye to every customer! I try to make an appointment, but they do also accept walk-ins as well and I can tell they try to accommodate everyone as quickly as they can. I have (and continue) to recommend Creative Nails to friends - I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Ive been looking for a good nail salon in Charlotte & this is definitely it. If there is a wait, they constantly apologize, they are very friendly when doing your nails, & the atmosphere is very relaxing. But most importantly my nails came out AWESOME!! They arent over priced like everyone else is & they last a really long time! This is definitely the only nail salon I will ever go back to.

This place is great! Everyone is so friendly. They are closed on Sundays but open Monday through Saturday! Never had a bad experience and I’ve been going here for almost 10 years.

I went here once after my usual spot up the street had a long wait. Decent prices. Nice, quiet and clean salon. There is a small dog if that doesnt brother you. If its your first time they charge $1 for a buffer and nail file so make sure you bring it again or else youll pay another $1. They have small rooms for tanning. It was an ok first experience. I only got gel polish.

This was my first time coming here and there was no one there so they took me right away I got a pedicure and it was great they are very gentle. It was my Birthday weekend so I was sorta in a hurry and Im happy with my feet.

Pleasant, clean, comfortable and reasonable prices. I simply like this place - but Ive only done pedis here. I just noticed that they also offer alterations - so this can be a one stop shop. :-)

20 min wait...more like 2 hour wait. I came in and I was a walk-in. There’s a sign that says Walk-in Welcome and I came in and they said okay 20 min wait. I was waiting patiently on my phone and then I saw two females customers walked in and they were greeted and then immediately sat down and they started working on there nails. I though they had made an appointment so I asked and then they said yes they did....okay I’m still waiting at this point and they let someone else in front of me right after she was done with her pedi...... I was so confused and I’m not the type to say anything. I’m hoping it wasn’t a race thing considering I was the only black female in there it made me uncomfortable. I ended up looking at there website and they don’t have appointments set up that you can make.....I don’t think I’ll be coming here ever again. I was first and they let three people in front of me this is not okay and not good customer service.

Wouldnt recommend. They cut me twice and charged me $5 more dollars because I got coffin shaped but told me over the phone it was $30. They couldve said that on the phone too.

Great people and quality service.

Very clean and relaxing atmosphere, however Im very disappointed with the actual service. I went one time before but couldnt remember why i hadnt gone back. This time I remember and wont make the mistake again! I got the deluxe pedi and the massage was non existent on my calves and feet, the polish is so thick it bubbles and left an awful looking crinkle in the polish. On to the mani...I got a gel mani and it was put on so thick and all over the skin around my nails that its already started to peel one day after the service! Not to mention pulling my skin away from the nail (ouch!).

Worst experience EVER! I bought the dealsaver which included a gel mani, pedi and spray tan. I MADE an appt. only to show up and be told that they only do the tanning on Sat?? What kind of business does that? I called and was NEVER told this. I live in Gastonia so over an hour drive on a Sat is not possible (not to mention the 30 minute drive from my office today). When I complained I was brushed off and told sorry you need to make an appt for Sat.The mani and pedi were awful. It was rushed and I now have nail polish ALL over my toes. I did not get the entire mani/pedi service that I usually get from any other salon. My feet are still rough. My cuticles having hanging parts were they did not cut them completely. The nail tech tried to give me a regular mani until I had to tell her it was the gel I had paid for. I have hair stuck to my nails that I will now have to have redone! The tools used were not sanitized.STAY AWAY!!!!

Gel polish manicure started chipping after 3 days. Supposed to last two weeks, and they dont communicate with you. Awkward experience.
