Great quality and service! I called for a last minute appointment and they were fantastic about accommodating me. I worked with Becky, the owner, who was so kind and thorough. Originally went in for a gel manicure but ended up trying dip powder for the first time after asking her advice. I could not be happier with how it came out! She even offered for me to come back if I had any issues. Tip Toe has been a tried and true for me in the past and its about time I share with others how great this business is. Wonderful manicures and pedicures, you wont be disappointed.

The staff was super friendly, and the salon itself was very clean. You can see all the sanitary precautions they take to ensure a safe and clean environment. This is without question my favorite nail salon in Charlotte. I’ve been to several around here — and in other states I’ve lived — and none comes close to Tiptoe. I’ve loved every technician I’ve had here the last 3 years. They all take such care, and they never rush you like other places. They’ve never once tried to upsell me (try to convince me to have another service or upgrade what I’ve asked for). They are all friendly and do great work. Plus, the massage chairs are the best I’ve ever experienced, which is why I’m always thrilled that they take their time doing my pedicure. And if they aren’t busy, they don’t mind if I hang out longer in the chairs while my nails dry. The prices are comparable to other places in Charlotte, but the experience is far superior. Love love love this place!

Manager told my Fiance (when he was taking my teenage daughter to get her nails done) I was no longer welcomed in shop, because a nail tech felt I was disrespectful. But they (fiance and sausage daughter) can come anytime. When he asked what I did that made tech feel that way (or who had the issue), Manger said she does know. ( Never asked myself or fiance what happened...etc) The only thing I could think about was an instance when I was getting chrome done and was not done correctly. So simply asked them to fix it. Never raised voice or even got frustrated (as I could have). I guess they can only do a basic manicure or your being disrespectful to ask for something special.They obviously dont value customer feedback or there customers. Low quality work (amateurs), high prices and a where the customer doesnt matter.

Ive been on the hunt for a nail salon and I finally found my place! The ladies did a great job, taking their time with my nails. They were very kind and accommodating to my requests.

Pretty good service. Owner is a nice guy for the most part. If they arent in the mood, you may not get the best service. I recommend going on a Monday or Tuesday, really if u can. Nice ambiance. They offer water or wine. Good to relax if its not crowded.

I was a bit skeptical getting a mens pedicure, but glad I took a chance. I was able to make an appointment during a busy Saturday afternoon. Fortunately I arrived early because finding a parking space was tough. The apartment buildings nearby consume all of the on-street parking so I had to park several blocks away. The staff was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. Mary gave me a great pedicure...my feet feel and look great!

I love this nail salon! I have never been big on getting my nails/toes done routinely, but now Ive started going more and more just because I enjoy Tiptoe so much. I find they are very well priced, the staff is exceptionally friendly and they take their time to do a good job. Ive had a couple different people at this salon do my nails, and theyve all done great jobs! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Im sitting here having a pedicure done and Im like I love this little place! 4 seats, all natural, ridiculously gorgeous colors, rose wine in pink glasses and a Cali/French vibe boutique.

When they say they provide the utmost attention to detail it is 100% accurate! I have gotten numerous gel manicures here and every time I think its the best one I have ever gotten. Each nail technician is so friendly and really takes the time to give you an excellent experience. I have never ever left thinking I could have done a better job myself which has been the case at other nail salons. The place is clean and modern and I enjoy coming back time and time again! Definitely recommend!

Came here for a pedicure and full set of acrylics last Sunday. Standard pedicure went fine. I request coffin shaped acrylics and even showed her a picture of exactly what I was wanting. It wasn’t until after I left I realized how bad the shape of the nails really were. No two nails look the same and some are so poorly shaped it looks like she didn’t try at all. To top it all off, it’s only Tuesday and one of the nails just broke off completely, just after doing an ordinary task. I would love to come back in and get them re-done or just get my money back, but I fly out for the beach tomorrow... now sporting broken and crooked nails. Beware of this place if you get acrylics.

I have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. I know that the constant, deafening noise of the next door roof being repaired was totally not their fault, but it just added insult to injury. First of all, who knew that at a nail salon a prior appointment would have to be made to have a set of acrylics?!! Is that NOT what a nail salon does??? So my daughter had to sit there while I got mine done. I had SNS, which I get on a regular basis and it will last anywhere from 2.5 - 3 weeks. Got this done on Monday and by Thursday, not even 3 full days, all but 3 nails had cracks in them! By day 7 they were so bad I had to go and get them done again. Elsewhere of course. I have never had such a bad experience. SNS is not cheap and are meant to last. I hope this place can work out how to do this properly and professionally.

My entire experience here from start to finish was AWFUL. First, I only went here because my boyfriend made an appointment and paid via credit card ahead.. so I got in on time for my appointment and they didnt take until almost an hour later which didnt bother me at the time. When I went back for a PINK & WHITE full set the nail tech started gluing white tips on and tried to use clear acrylic.. In other words, she tried to cheat me out of my pink & whites that were ALREADY PAID FOR and give me regular full set. When I told her that wasnt okay she got an attitude and ripped the white tips off-which was painful! She complained the entire time that these took too long and the gel polish she put on doesnt cover the whole nail on 6 of my nails. It also has turned brown in 5 days. They are the worst nails Ive ever had. NEVER AGAIN. Dont trust this salon ladies. Beware.

This was the best Boutique ever... everyone had so much class and respect for each other it was like we was all family in there having a great time enjoying each others company .. oh and Im from ohio too.

The very first visit was not a bad one. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I came in for a Gel fill in. The technician that did my nails did everything just right and I was very satisfied with my service. I thought I finally found a nail salon that was fairly close to my home. Well my second visit changed my mind completely. I came in and asked for a Gel fill in. The same as last time. A technician examined my nails and told another tech that I needed a gel manicure. I clearly said gel fill in. So the tech brought over a solution to soak my nails. She also began to file off the existing polish. I reminded her that I asked for a Gel fill in not a gel manicure. So the male tech speaks up and says that they dont do gel fill ins. I let him know that I just had the service performed two weeks prior. Then he says the tech I needed doesnt work on Mondays. Plus he was the only one available to do fill ins and it would be an hour before he was finished with his current customer. He then offered me $5 off if I returned the next day. He also asked that I called ahead of time if I decided to return later that day. It was an inconvenience to be turned away but I wasnt upset about it. Instead of 5 stars, I changed the rating to 3.

It was my first time trying this nail salon, I asked for a gel manicure and for my SNS to be taken off. After three different nail techs worked on taking off my SNS one finally sat down and began my manicure. The nail tech filed the side of my nails so hard she cut two of my fingers open. She then began to apply the gel polish and messed up so badly on 3 nails she had to take all of the polish off and start over. Every nail she painted she got polish on my skin and had to wipe it off. When she finally finished I had been at the salon for an hour and a half. I went to the front to pay and was asked how my service was, I told the front desk woman about my experience and she replied with an oh sorry and said it took so long because I had SNS removed, however I get SNS almost every time I have my nails done and removal has never taken so long. I will choose to go elsewhere in the future.

I am extremely disgusted with how I was treated earlier today at this salon. I have been there several times before and have even brought friends with me. I had stopped in before and the gentleman who works in the front (I’m assuming the owner) was very rude. But since I live & work in Plaza Midwood, out of convenience, I thought I’d give this business another try. THAT WAS A BAD DECISION.I went in for SNS and they had let my nails soak for 45 minutes while they had helped others and never came back to even check or even start my nails until I started checking them myself by removing the tinfoil tips. When the owner saw me doing this, he started huffing & puffing as he pulled the remaining ones off & put new tinfoil tips on. By that time, it was close to an hour and they haven’t even gotten started. To top it all off, the owner stormed off to the front & had the audacity to CHARGE ME to remove the previous SNS after I had done it myself. He never apologized or spoke to me. To summarize-I went in with nails that needed to freshened up & I left with them in horrible shape.To clarify: I am BIG on supporting local businesses, especially in my neighborhood. But I will be sure to steer coworkers, neighbors & friends away from this business based off of the way that I was treated & their horrible customer service. You don’t treat paying customers as though they are trash, plain & simple.I recommend getting in your vehicle & making the 5 minute drive to the Color Bar over by Metropolitan instead.

Recently got a pedicure here and it was awful. One of my big toenails she cut shorter and more crooked than the other one. Also afterwards I felt immediate burning and I saw that I had two cuts (one on my big toe and another on my little toe). She didnt even apologize for the cuts or put an antiseptic on it. Will not be coming back :/

We recently bought a house in the area and I had come here a few times for a pedicure but unfortunately they have lost my business. I came in for an SNS manicure with tips and was told (after my pedicure) that I couldnt do a design I had asked for because it wouldnt stick. I have done SNS many times, with a design and never had an issue. It felt like they just didnt want to do it and all after acting very turned off I wanted SNS in the first place. Like I mentioned, I have done the SNS several times before and the guy doing it didnt even smooth the nail down at any point so they looked lumpy and one popped off (no, it didnt break) under two weeks later and you can see where there was barely any adhesives. That was followed by four others just popping off as well by barely brushing something. Complete waste of money as Ive had more luck and longer lasting manicures from the store bought Target ones Highly disappointed and wont be back.
