I thought my automatic transmission was shifting a bit weird so I brought it to Aamco for a check. I saw an ad online that a check was free. I brought it first thing in the morning and checked in by phone a few times as they either had no updates or didnt find anything wrong by driving it. In the end they used an OBD 2 for the check engine light (which was never on anyway), and drove the car around a few times. They might have popped the hood but it was never clear that they did. They wanted to test it in the morning again but I needed it for work and said no thanks beyond anymore checking by driving around. Then I found out my free check was $100. The ad apparently mentions its free as they take off $100 any work they do on the car. So, by my estimate, I was charged$100 for them to test drive a few times and use a diagnostic I could have done myself at advanced auto for free. Not only will I not come back, but I hope the business fails.

The worst experience I ever had taking my car 🚗 to get fix. The manger there is a crook and ver unprofessional. I had my truck there to get inspected for my transmission sliping. The gave me a price of 5,400 dollars. I told them that was to much then they gave me another price I said that was to much. I then told them Im going to pick my truck up they said it gonna take three weeks for me to pick my truck up. I had to call corporate on them to get them to have my truck ready in a week. The manger there and his master mechanic are crooks. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!

Not a bad spot, but they do not install any parts other than brand new ones. They will not install used transmissions. Diagnostic fees are fair, around $115 for a basic look, around $1500 for a deeper dive

THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AUTO PLACE EVER!!! I had my car towed there for a transmission issue and a few other repairs, they took all my information over the phone and said they would get back to me. I called them (3) times over the course of (2) weeks for them to tell me they didn’t have room in their bays to service my vehicle. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE..

When you call the office the person you are connected with is in a different state they had my car for 2 days I kept calling for updates and was told the same thing a master tech is looking at it and I would be called back I was never called back and called to tell them Im coming to get my car then he tells me whats wrong with it and that I need a credit card to proceed further. I went and got my car the guy in the office is very nice tho it seems there is no communication between the person in the store and the person on the phone. A waste of time.

BEWARE!!!! This place scammed my 83 year old mother out of countless dollars. Gagan Singh is an out right liar. Stating that an alternator was needed and it was not! You should be ashamed of yourself!

Extremely horrible service experience in which I hope Corporate will see this lengthy review, I scheduled a service on my transmission w/e store coupon got no email regarding my appointment so then I called in to check into my appointment in which I had to call it in with the MGR Ron informing him that I had their coupon from their website. I got a text confirming my service went in Saturday morning to drop the car off to find out they had no way to get my car serviced, I had to come back on Monday which was completely frustrating due to taking off work and now having to partially take off work that Monday. I was given a estimate completely outrageous called back only to be told how the price is typical for my car and that this was reasonable, after explaining all that happen this MGR seem very unprofessional and rude then proceeded to tell me they had no idea of this coupon until I brought it in, then after explaining to him this hassle and what this company could have done to made my experience better. This MGR decides to hang up on me then after calling back several times forcing the call to voice mail then telling me it was my service. I dont get how this MGR is still in his position and should be terminated for unprofessional manner and the way he manages his store, think twice about going to this store more than likely communication between MGR and technicians have not occurred having you to waste time and money. If cooperate would like to contact me they have my number/email on my declined estimate print off in their system, DONT TRUST YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP.....

Transmission broke down while traveling. The technicians, especially Joe were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Made my bad situation much better. Had me back on the road in no time. I was very fortunate to find this repair facility. Wish more auto repair shops were as professional as these guys. A+ Experience all the way.

Having completed my transfer casing repair BEFORE reading any reviews, I am shocked at any negative reviews and Im starting to think they were for the wrong location. I have to tell you that this was one of the best customer service auto experiences Ive had. Charles, at the front desk, took the time to talk to me as an individual who earned my business. He walked me through the process that would unfold and was even willing to wait at closing time if I got stuck in traffic for me to pick up my vehicle. I am really happy all around with my Catonsville AAMCO experience.

Highly recommend AAMCO in Catonsville for all car repairs. Charles and Joe were amazing and honest in helping us with our engine repair. They both worked with our warranty company to get the work done with barely any cost to us. They helped ease our stress by always following up and keeping us aware of what was going on with our vehicle. My husband and I will be forever grateful for Charles and Joe and the team at AAMCO in Catonsville for making our experience easy and stress-free.

I went to Aamco to get my transmission repaired and they did a good job, I cant really complain. The only thing of my concern was how long it took but other than that nothing. My truck runs great now. I was assisted by Charles. He frequently gave me updates and whenever I would call he would gladly assist me. He didnt make me just feel like a customer but more like a friend. Overall Aamco has a great staff and I definitely recommend them.

I had my 2004 F150 serviced at Aamco in 2016 and again today. The service technicians were extremely knowledgeable about my repairs. The Customer Service Manager Charles Thompson was knowledgeable, courteous and quite helpful. I will definitely bring my cars back to the Catonsville location and highly recommend this facility to anyone.

Horrible! Do not go there. I paid $3790 for a rebuild with apparently 1-year warranty and the truck transmission failed 14 months later. Then when I took it back I had received the worst customer service ever. When I asked for the shop manager phone number the person at the counter would not give it to me and told me is my fault that transmission went up because that I wast not checking my transmission fluid. I went back and forth with this guy to be told come get your truck out his shop because it nothing we can do for you. For the money I paid Aamco, I deserved to be treated better and expected a better quality transmission to last longer than 14 months. So finally after being told to come get my truck the person at the counter finally decided to talk to the manager and they agreed to fix my transmission for $2900. Which its not OK when I called Glen Burnie Transmission they would have put in a re-manufactured transmission for $2695 with a 3-year warranty. DO NOT GO THERE. Learn from my terrifically horrible experience. I still have no truck and still out thousands of dollars.

They put a bad transmission in my car and I kept bringing the car in telling them the car was making noise and shaking the time it was under warranty they said the car was fine my engine light came on and everthing they refuse to hornor my warranty and correct the issue after I spent 4200.00 dollars I am lawyerd up now going after them warning never take your car to this shop Aamco Catonsville

After having a terrible experience at another shop I was recommend to use and they attempted to charge me over $4000 to repair my truck which was still under warranty Charles and Joe came to the recuse. These gentlemen contacted my warranty company and dealership and repaired my truck for under $450 and my warranty covered most of that.

This was my 1st time dealing with an Aamco Transmission shop and i will surely return to the Catonsville shop for any of my car care needs. Manager Jay, Tech Joe and their staff were very professional and explained all my car issues so I fully understood. They did a great job repairing my 2001 Oldsmobile AleroThanks Guys!!!!!

Thee worst customer service i ever experienced in my 30+ years of living. The manager Charles, lied from the beginning. I called on a Thursday around noon and asked about some warranty work i needed completed on the sameday. He stated theyvwould be able to look at my vehicle the same day if i brought it immediately. I dropped my car off by 1pm. He never looked at my car Thursday, Friday or the following Monday. After repeated calls to check the status, i was told lie after lie about his plans to work on my vehicle. He then called me and accused me of calling the corporate office on him. I hadnt done so just yet. He apologized when i informed him that i didnt and he still hadnt looked at my car. He then called me an hour later, approx. 45 mins before the store closed and told me to pick my vehicle up because they would not be able to look at it in time enough for me. The amount of restraint it took to say no more, i did not have. Needless to say, corporate was called, and i will pick my vehicle up after hearing from them. Do NOT leave your car in their care. He needs to be trained, demoted or FIRED! I am going to continue to provide negative reviews, comments, and input on this business until my issues are heard and a resolution is made. Aamoco Catonsville is thee WORST! Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, yelp... everywhere!

Took car for a free inspection left the car for three hrs and I believe they took a part out of the car and is now trying to get me to replace it. Worst customer service ever when i asked for a reason why.
